I am trying to install CS4 on my Windows XP computer, but when I put the CD in the drive the floppy disk is not recognized. In fact the disk does not appear to 'see' one of the disks that came in the package. The reader has no problem with the audio CD or CDs containing other programs. I also tried the disc in the DVD drive of the computer, but no luck.
To complicate the foreign disks CS4 seem to work on computer (most recent) well my wife.
Can someone tell me what is happening?
For starters, the disks are DVD not CD!
Second, your old computer may miss a few update needed to play the media.
Can you make a copy of the package on your hard drive and install from there?

I have a problem, my dvd burner is not recognized by external programs such as Ace CD Burner or CdBurnerXP. I can burn DVDs and CDs in windows, but I want the added functionality of these external programs.
I searched on the site of toshiba for updated drivers, but there are none, and Googling TSSTCORP CDDVDW Ts - l633P Ata Device (this is what is listed under my CD-ROM in Device Manager) gives no useful result.
If it's any help the device type is listed as: Dvd/Cd Rom and manufacturer readers is (Standard CD-ROM drives)
All do you know of any other driver that I can use to make accessible to other programs? You can provide any help would be greatly appreciated.

DVD not recognized writers more - please help!
I have a Dell Studio 1555 laptop that came with a DVD - RW drive. A year ago, my husband did a single DVD for a few friends, using the Windows DVD Maker program. It worked!
Unfortunately, it worked only once. The next time we tried, the DVD - RW drive seems not be recognized at all - not by any program or by Windows at all. I searched online and read about the removal of the upper and lower filters in the registry. I did: still the drive is not recognized.
I tried the thing Microsoft Fix It, but it does not recognize the drive as a writer.
I bought a new external DVD burner and repeated the above. It is not recognized as a USB storage device.
I ran the auditor system files, and after some difficulties to find it, check for errors in the CBS. This is the entry:

Can someone help me write a dvd again? I don't really understand computers, but it seems obvious that the problem must be with Windows.

Hello
Did you check with the manufacturer of your system, the manufacturer of the drive and ask in the Mycelial forums?
If you tried the whole store then try an in Place upgrade/repair facility that
allows you to keep the programs and data, even if redundant backups are always a good
idea. (If you have not used the methods in the troubleshooter so it is less likely to help him as)
the same incorrect settings will be always present). You can try a repair install or an upgrade in Place.
You can use another DVD that aren't copy protected but you you need to own
Product key. It must be the same version 32 or 64 BIT Vista OEM. Also the system
machine to usually sell the cheap disk since you already own Windows. Don't forget to make a
good backup or 3 (security in redundancy).On-site upgrade

Windows 7 Installation DVD not recognized.
I'm trying to install Windows 7 on a new PC - no previous operating system. Hard drive is a Western Digital WD800 IDE. CD/DVD is a Sony CRX230ED. The CD/DVD recognizes CDs very well. But I put the Windows 7 DVD in there and it is not recognized.
CRX230ED's rider to master. BIOS has CRX230ED at the first position in the boot order.
Tried to start at Bart PE. that works because it loads a CD and not DVD. But I can't start Windows 7 installation because she needs to start in a Windows environment.
Going nuts.
This CD player is. You need a combination player that can play CDs and DVDs. If it is a new computer that someone built for you, take because they rip you off. Nobody in his right mind would put a plain CD - RW disc in a computer today. If you compiled yourself computer parts you hang out, pull the reader and the pitch. Replace it with a CD/DVD-RW drive instead. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

Hello
You have disk problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD burning and)
Playback of CD and DVD). So it is not unusual for parts from 1 or 2 to not work so that others do
correctly.Burning at low speed, or by using the master could help. A CD/DVD cleaner might help.
Check with the support of the door of entry for firmware updates and known issues.

When I insert a dvd, the dvd is not recognized and I wonder ' to install a dvd or disk etc.
Hi David,
Thanks for the quick response.
Have you tried the steps in the article mentioned above? If so, what was the result?
In addition to the above step, try to install latest drivers from the link below and see if it helps you to solve the problem. If the problem persists, try to update the drivers from the manufacturer's website.
Updated a hardware driver that is not working properly

Hubert, welcome to the forum.
You run Windows Update to see if that solves your problem. There is no Win 10 driver for your HP computer. In fact, I doubt that HP will develop pilots because your computer is 6 years old. That's the problem with the update to newer operating systems.
