  Since CS4 was released before the function of guardian of OSX, maybe the default is interfering with the installation process.

  Try the parameter in the screenshot below and if it works, change the value by default after you're done.

  I have a Master collection CS4 and have had no problems. I've recently updated my system and have now Windows 8 is installed. However, the entire suite creative has been installed without any problem except for Flash. I'm not sure what could cause this error. I see nothing in the help about it.   There is no solution. Flash Pro is not compatible with Win 8 even in CS6. There are dependencies on components of Flash Player and the way he is treated to win 8 prevents him from work as the app expects.

  I bought Adobe CS3 Design Premium Student edition quite late and requested an upgrade and have the Adobe CS4 Design premium update.   If CS3 is causing a problem with the installation of CS4... it must be removed. Once installed CS4 and CS3 is needed... (and for that I have NO idea since everything works well in CS4... it will open CS3 files very well)... just reinstall CS3. Why waste time of troubleshooting? If after running the CS3Clean Option 4 and there STILL has errors... There is a bigger problem, possibly with the operating system.

  CS4 installation problems can be caused by the CS3, and if you don't get rid of the cause... you may as well use the CS4 discs as coasters.

  Now... legally, that you are supposed to do with CS3 if you purchased an upgrade and not an installation of CS4 full? Since the upgrade isn't really upgrade the apps but installs new... I guess that Adobe does not have a stub of rats.

  My serial Site is an upgrade, but he never asks for previous versions during the installation series. I run CS3Clean option 4 just prior to installation of CS4. I've never had a problem using this method. YMMV.

  I am running Windows 7 (SP1) 64-bit operating systems.
  
  Started getting an error message of connection manager HP "HP Connection Manager Service has stopped responding.  Error code 8008005.
  
  HP Connection Manager v4.1.23.1 running.
  When I try to install a new version of v4.4.10.1 (SP58930) HP connection manager, I get an error of Windows Installer 1719.  Tried different solutions recommended for this, but nothing has worked.
  
  I see in the forum after this uninstall of the current version and then install the new version of the HP connection manager can solve my original problem.

  From your description, it seems that if you can't follow instructions in the Microsoft fixit to the letter. By using the fixit is the easiest way to remove the registry entries and make changes to the registry that will allow installing and uninstalling software.  I can't recommend the methods that I use personally when I run on these issues because they involve access to the registry via regedit. The word people have never even heard of Regedit. Using Regedit can be a very bad thing for someone not experienced in the use of the registry editor.  All ch = angels did take place immediately and which included all the mistakes made during the access to the registry. Ongoing work on an operating system can fairly easily through the registry editor. Try the Microsoft fixit. It is a safe utility. Use it after an attempt to install and leave the window open until after error that does compete with the installation of the software.

  If it isn't your game, then the Compatibility Center W7 says that is not compatibile. But it seems there are other versions that can run.

  Make sure that your installation discs (if his coming to a CD/DVD) are all the scratches/dirt free and clean. A bad scratch or dirty mark on a disc can cause 'odd questions' sometimes.

  There are a few things to try:

  1. find the Setup program you are running for the game and which run in XP compatibility mode.

  2 in case of failure too and then try to run it in XP Compat mode and as administrator.

  I noticed there are a few paths on the www, if you get it installed, it may be an idea to get patches and install them to the best game(check AV before installing).
