  Incoming audio levels can be adjusted for digital video capture in Premiere Pro?  Or is the audio in digital images a fixed entity that cannot be adjusted once it is imported into an editing software?  Recently, I have captured 14 hours the Strip that constantly weak but usable audio levels.  I couldn't see a way to set audio levels in the capture Panel, so I just left with just the default settings.

  Adjust the audio clip left or right of the track until it syncs to the top.  In the context menu for the sequence, you can display Audio Units, if you need less than a precision of image.

• Same audio video, different?

  Working on a DVD of my service and I am to gather details. I imported the video of my function, which comes to about 5.9 GB. I have two audio files: it is the soundtrack of the film, the other is the audio commentary track. I have had no problem the service configuration. Make a timeline, added video and audio and was fine.

  Now works in the special functions menu, wish to set up the audio commentary. So, naturally, I thought that the way to do is to create a new timeline, put the video in and put the audio commentary rather than the regular soundtrack track. The 'version' tab and I'm somewhere in the range of 11 GB, much more than the capacity of standard dvd double layer. I did something wrong? Is there a better way to do it? Or I'll really need to compress the video of the feature that far down to leave a space of? Thanks for any help.

  You add the comment about the audio track 2 of the feature and create a menu button to it.  Do not use a separate timeline.

• Satellite Pro A60 video Capture problems

  I have the following system:

  Toshiba A60 laptop Pro satellite
  CPU - AMD 2.8 Ghz
  RAM - 768 MB
  OS - XP Pro SP2

  All other system requirements as indicated by the Dazzle DVC90 USB 2.0 capture card are met.

  I use Pinnacle Studio 9.4 update to capture VCR.

  Problem:

  When I plug the DVC90 to my laptop, I get nothing on the preview window. I have it set to capture as quality DVD Mpeg. But I don't see a gray screen when I look at the overview. I click start capture, the timer starts but no capture is made, either by audio or video.

  I checked all the settings. They all seem to be fine. My friend tried the capture card USB with exactly the same settings and connection on his desktop PC and it worked perfectly. The specification of his PC is similar to my laptop. Is it a familiar fault with video capture on laptops?

  I'd appreciate it if someone could help me with these problems.

  Hi Alex,

  Have you checked in your Pinnacle capture settings that is not failing to the incorrect entry (rather than Composite, S-video). Obviously the value specified must match your connectivity of material allowing to receive a video signal.

  I think that it is also possible to disable the capture preview screen to minimize the risk of frame drops. Please check that you have the active video preview.

  Is someone can help me find a way to run analog video capture on a Qosmio?
  I need to transfer a lot of analog video from a camcorder, I tried winDvd, Moviemaker, I installed Magic Video Deluxe Pinnacle Studio 9 version complete, but it seems that no one of these software is able to recognize and capture the video source. Only the digital acquisition is OK. It's very frustrating!

  Hi, I have also just spent the last two hours trying to capture video from my analog camera. I can't understand how to do that either. I can watch the video on my screen to switch signals with Fn + 4, but I can't access the video signal via any software.

  For my project I undertake acquistion PPG without contact. I am trying to capture my webcam, but with all of the image, I get a lot of noise in the signal. I found using code samples provided by my supervisor in MATLAB that my webcam is capable of recording at 30 fps.

  I joined a video capture for treatment in other programs. Currently, the VI records to a text file.

  How would you suggest that I crop the video images before being caught or processed, I need this for two reasons, 1. the entire image generates noise and 2. reduce the footprint of output file.

  I have attached the VI for reference. To run a file in the file path text must be designated for the VI to run and a session for your WEBCAM.

  If you open your camera in MAX, there may be for the width and height properties. You can create a property on your in camera session node and to use these names as 'active' attribute, and then set the 'value' with a string or numeric.

  I think that the version of Roxio Creator 2010 IS also has the same card but includes more features with the software.  You can buy this 'special edition' version to the SAM Club' has or Costco.

• Sync audio/video Windows Movie Maker problem

  When you use Windows Movie Maker 5.1 to capture video from my Panasonic PV-GS39 DV camera, audio is 15 seconds ahead of the video.  Anyone know what is the cause or how to fix it?  No other programs are running at the time of the capture.

  It is difficult to say why Windows Movie Maker would be to have this problem, but my recommendation would be to eliminate it from the video capture process. There is an excellent free program called WinDV you can use to capture video on your computer, then you can change using Windows Movie Maker, once the capture is complete. Video capture questions can be exasperating. Along with other instructions of troubleshooting, I explain why you might want to use WinDV in a tutorial on video troubleshooting.

• Audio, video, and game controllers missing in vista 64

  I'm having a problem with my card mother dx58so and sound.  The speaker beside clock icon has a red X.  He says that there is no audio output device installed. When I go into Device Manager it isis is not even an option to extend a audio, video and game controllers. It is completely absent.  I've updated to a vista 64 SP2.  I also tried to install the drivers from microsoft, intel realtek and realtek themselves.  I called intel and had them go through everything with me also including enable/disable in the bios, updaste chipset, bios, drivers.  They also had me uninstall the driver that is at this time the audio, video and game controllers disappeared.  Any help would be great, otherwise I'll probabley try to reformatt HDD and reinstall windows.

  Which version of the service Park you have on your PC (SP1 or SP2?)

  Have you checked to make sure that this motherboard is compatible with the operating system you are using? You can check it out here CENTER OF COMPATIBILITY of VISTA

  If your device is compatible, your problem may be getting the right driver or a defective unit, or you need to just run all the necessary update on your PC.  I suggest you run Windows update to get the latest updates for your PC.

  Second, boot your PC in a boot environment in MINIMAL MODE to make this issue is not caused by a background program and reinstall the latest drivers for your devices

  To perform a clean boot on a computer that is running Windows Vista, follow these steps.

  1. click on Start, type msconfig in the Search box and press ENTER.

  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click continue.

  2. in the general tab, click Selective startup.

  3. under Selective startup, clear the Load Startup items check box.

  4. click on the Services tab, select the hide all Microsoft Services check box, and then click disable all.

  5. click on OK.

  6. When you are prompted, click restart.

  7. after the computer starts, check if the problem is resolved.

  If your problem is resolved, follow the section How to determine what is causing the problem in the KB article to narrow down the exact source.

• Low/low audio record from sources online w/Sound Recorder (Win7)

  I tried to record audio (music) from sources online by using Sound Recorder in Win7, but the recording level is very low.  I'm not sure if it's a card problem his (chip Conexant HD Audio version 8.50.0) or there are one or more settings in Windows, I missed.

  Tab 'Registration' under 'Sound', 'Stereo Mix' is selected under 'Stereo Mix properties' and 'Levels' Stereo Mix 'Advanced' 100%...under, I chose "2 channels, 24 bit, 48000 Hz" and the two boxes checked under "exclusive Mode".  Everything I need to look?

• Tandberg 6000 MXP video call Source missing

  Hello, I have have a 6000 MXP running F9.3.1 and has been for awhile now.  It was recently discovered that the video source of the call is not the camera that we want displayed.  When I checked the list of options, only some of the available entries were actually there.  Video 1, PC, VNC and current are there, but not video 2.

  I want 2 video as source video of my call, and I am quite sure, it has been defined in this way in the past, or have heard about earlier.  I have down graded to F9.3, but has not made a difference.  I confirmed that this source of start-up and snap shot source all have the right options.

  After checking several other systems MXP running F9.3.1, I see that they are also not the same thing.  Is there anything I can do to call video Source using Video 2?

  When you start a new project, the button settings are on the Panel of the new project.

  Furthermore, in any version after version 11 program, the program will automatically set your project settings based on the first clip on your timeline.

  Have you tried to send your first Clip in Premiere Pro projects? You can assemble the mounting of the news on the ground with the first Clip, silent or audio that you need on a basic per-clip. For videos where you want to do more with L cuts and cut-outs of J, hit "Edit in Premiere Pro." Here you can unlink tracks audio & video.
