• CS4 update - still using CS3?

  I currently have CS3, and I think I have the CS4 Update. I know not if I buy the software regular CS4, I'll be able to use CS3 AND CS4, but I wonder if this is also true if I get the CS4 update. I've never updated before, so I don't really know how it works. There are parts of CS3 that I prefer on CS4 (and), so whether to buy the upgrade means that I can't use both on the same computer, so I prefer not getting CS4 at all.

  Yes, you can still use both versions after the upgrade.

  The upgrade does not affect the earlier version, it is a complete installation in a separate folder under Program Files.

  You may not have both versions running simultaneously , but this is hardly a drawback.

  (Most of the features of CS4 can be added in).

  My Photoshop CS4 worked normally on Win10/64.

  After a computer crash I installed again, but the episode could not be completed.

  I have re-installed CS4 Design Premium on my Mac after installing a new installation of Yosemite. Once all this was done, I expected Adobe Updater to automatically add updates as there whenever I have it re-installed. But instead, he had nothing. After manually running Adobe Updater, it reports that there are no updates to install. This is obviously false, and I know I'm missing on these updates.

  No need to download and install full versions of old software in order to re-install CS4. Just install the update directly from CS4. It contains the complete program code - serial number indicates the installation program if you have a full version or an upgrade. Enter your serial number CS4 upgrade, and then enter your serial number CS3 or CS2 when you are prompted.

  You can try to install CS4 software in MAC 10.8, however in Adobe is not installing software CS4 on MAC 10.8 but you give it a try.

• Cannot CS4 update on the new laptop running Windows 7 64 bit

  I just upgraded a laptop slow 2 years running Vista 32-bit to a new laptop Asus G73JW running under Windows 7 64-bit. It's a laptop very fast with 8G of RAM, 1.5 GB dedicated graphics card, res HD full 1920 x 1080-player in solid state for the use of a disk etc. It's a beast of a laptop that starts completely in 10 seconds approximately and it was built for HD players. Needless to say I'm pretty excited to be able to work on my favorite Adobe software, which is mostly Photoshop and Premiere Pro.

  All about the laptop works fine but... I installed my CS4 Production Premium without issue, however, the Adobe update will not work. I tried about 10 times now, reboot, try various programs to try updates etc, nothing works. They are updated very important, because the software will not properly work in several programs without the updates. I can't find anything on this specific issue, someone has had this problem with Windows 7 64 bit?

  FYI, everything has worked with Vista 32 bit, including updates.

  I'm quite frustrated now and I just want to start using the software, and I would really appreciate any suggestions that anyone can have.

  I already have an e-mail in Asus to see if the latest NVidia GTX 460 M driver graphics card can be updated on my system. There are a few other drivers that I try to update as well to see if that will help.

  I built my computer, I installed Win7 Pro 64-bit as the only user and I still have an option "Run as Administrator" when I right click on an EXE file

  You do not have this option that makes me think that something on your installation is corrupt

• Unable to load project after all Premiere CS4 update...

  If CS3 is causing a problem with the installation of CS4... it must be removed. Once installed CS4 and CS3 is needed... (and for that I have NO idea since everything works well in CS4... it will open CS3 files very well)... just reinstall CS3. Why waste time of troubleshooting? If after running the CS3Clean Option 4 and there STILL has errors... There is a bigger problem, possibly with the operating system.

  CS4 installation problems can be caused by the CS3, and if you don't get rid of the cause... you may as well use the CS4 discs as coasters.

  Now... legally, that you are supposed to do with CS3 if you purchased an upgrade and not an installation of CS4 full? Since the upgrade isn't really upgrade the apps but installs new... I guess that Adobe does not have a stub of rats.

  My serial Site is an upgrade, but he never asks for previous versions during the installation series. I run CS3Clean option 4 just prior to installation of CS4. I've never had a problem using this method. YMMV.

  CS5 is more commercialized... you can buy CS6, but I don't think that CS4 is eligible for an upgrade award

  I don't know if it will work, but the CS2 activation servers have been shut down. You can recharge CS2 following the instructions on this link, so maybe try to install your upgrade.

  CS4 was installed on my XP machine in 2010 - and I remember having to call support because the previous version, I had (Studio 8) was not part of the drop-down list where you select your old version.

  Now my XP computer is about to be deleted and I tried to re - install CS4 on my Win7 machine. Once again - same problem.

  I have a Studio 8 serial number... and Studio MX too. But neither in the drop-down list.
