  I am trying to compile an extension CS; the most critical application is InDesign.  When I try to run or debug the extension in InDesign CS 5.5, it does not appear in Windows > Extensions, but I get this message at startup.

  Struct ExportRecord in PIExport.h has a filename attribute declared as a char array.

  So I doubt if file names containing characters unicode for the export module will be supported.

  I do a big update in my office, all our designers of CS4 CS5 update. A small group use InCopy CS4. Is this compatible with CS5?

  It will not normally work sorry to say, because CS5 does not recognise CS4 lock files. At least this is what I found in my limited testing.

  InCopy CS4 can open assignments (ICMA files) created by InDesign CS5. That's the good news - he cannot open CS5 layout (INDD) files, so if you were using a workflow based on the page layout, which does not at all.

  But when the InCopy user checks a story assignment, created the locking file (the one that prevents other users to check and modify the same story) is "CS4 - era", and ignores CS5 ID/IC. So if the InDesign user available open while the InCopy user, changes the InDesign CS5 user won't know, because they cannot see the status icon 'pencil with a bar' slant on the stories the IC user extracted.   I'm Flash® Professional CS5 (11.0.2.489), updating the reports I'm updating.  The documentation seems to indicate that PS CS5 should support the native custom sliders, but it doesn't (method of Mouse.registerCursor is not defined).

  I have a desktop with Windows 7 and I was able to install CS5 Production Premium.  I finally updated to Windows 8 and 8.1.  I've also updated for Windows 10 as soon as it became widely available.  The suite CS5 has worked very well under all OS (including Windows 10).  I had problems with Windows OS 10 which were too difficult to analyze and was responsible for making a "Reset this PC" to do a clean install near Windows 10.  This forces me to install all my old applications.  I started first with CS5.  Most of the applications installed, but I had a number of errors [-0 fatal Error (s), 92 (s), 125 warning (s)].

• Copy/paste from Microsoft outlook crashes CS5?

  Note: This is not a new error, this happened for several months, but did not initially. I don't know when the change came, but since the addition of cloud, it seems to happen more often.

  When copying and pasting the text from Microsoft Office Outlook 2007, if she is not pasted into an existing text box, Illustrator crashes everytime.

  When I copy and paste images from Microsoft Outlook 2007, Illustrator blocking 90% of the time, except when the program is first opened its doors after crashing.

  The current solution in screenshots and paste from tool cutting and trying to always make sure that there is an available text box, but it is frustrating to lose work when does not save a copy/paste in the program and the last thing on the Clipboard is from Outlook.

  I can't imagine (the reasons of) a workflow where you are systematically copy/paste text from Outlook Illustrator. Paste text directly from a program potentially applies to any amount of markup hidden is misguided and that includes all of Microsoft Office. When it works, you're just lucky, I think. Is not the answer you want, but for what it's worth, I never would consider even copy/paste from any desktop application in any Adobe application without an intermediate step to stick to and copied-from a text editor.
