CUCM 9.0 Documentation

Hello world

I wanted to know is there anywhere I can get documentation on the release of 9 CM. I wanted to read about the new features and see all need has been added to this version. Thanks for any help in advance and have a great day and hope to hear from you soon.

Hey Scooter,

I don't think anyone could release this info yet because of the Cisco's NDA (non disclosure agreement)

Keep an eye on the link below, that she would have the info as soon as it is available to the public

http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/products/SW/voicesw/ps556/prod_release_notes_list.html

See you soon!

  • Disable Cisco on CTS system start/end call tones

Does anyone know how to disable the Cisco tones on call start and end on the CTS systems. I have looked everywhere in CUCM and don't see any type of setting for her thus done quick search via the web. When I'm testing, I'm so tired of listening to the tones over and over again and the volume control does not seem to help.

    Thanks for all the ideas.

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

The tone at the end of the call can be enabled or disabled by the parameter of "call termination enable ring" in the codec in CUCM configuration. Documentation speaks of this setting controls the ring at the end of the call, and I'm not aware of any call origination tone control framework.

    Kind regards

    Antonio.

  • Upgrade CUCM 10.5 and 11.5 with Mediasense, UCCX and confirmation of the highway

Hello everyone, I'm looking to upgrade CUCM 10.5 to 11.5 and try to find out if the version of Mediasense, UCCX and highway are supported and to confirm with the experts that I am mistaken.

Currently I have the following text:

    CUCM/CUC - 10.5

    UCCX - 10.6.1

    MediaSense - 11.0.1

    Highway - 8.5.1

So based on the documentation below if I go to CUCM 11.5 UCCX must be upgraded to version 11 and highway be upgraded to 8.8? MediaSense is ok here its version 11?

    Thank you

    Dan

ORC evolving documents now States that UCCX 10.6 (1) can be compatible with 11.5 (1) CUCM (plus all patches) after you install the ciscouccx.106x.cucm11xcompatible.14.cop.sgn hotfix.

  • Integration of CUCM 8.6 and CRM, what service API or XML?

    Hello

Asked me to find documentation on the developer interface CUCM. We would like our CRM system to connect to CUCM and receive CID/CTI and duration calls real time to start.

Which way we look? Our CRM supplier must watch AXL interface or XML functionality for the call real-time data? or in another way? any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Kristian

Data in real time would require the TSP that provides the TAPI interface or JTAPI to subscription to the devices/DNs via CTI Manager. XML interfaces you mentioned are for administrative functions. ICT applications can impact the scalability of the CUCM pole so plan accordingly.

  • V.10 CUCM Migration to BE5K BE6K

    Hi all

We currently have CUCM BE5K and we are moving towards BE6K v10. Currently, the version of the call of the Manager's 6.1.5.11900 - 13.

If you wish to migrate, can I follow the steps below:

    1. Firstly we can installed the same version of CUCM 6.1.5.11900 - 13. in Server UCS, take backup of existing cucm and restore in new installed CUCM.
    2. If we restored the backup on the new CUCM, then the procedure of migration to CUCM v.10

kindly let me know the procedure is correct, or any document/link for migration... It would be helpful

    Thank you...

NO, all the foregoing 10.X is virtual only.

5K can go as 9.X and you can check the HW compatibility on the documentation online, easy to find on cisco.com, or by searching the SCC.

    And the name is Jaime.

If you want to go to 10, you need to go to 9.x, export information on the use of the MTD, import on MacOS9.x ESXi, then move on to 10. Have you reviewed the documentation of 5 to 6K?

  • Call before all with phone linksys not updated of CUCM online.

    Hello

We have CUCM 9.1.2 and there is mixture of phones Cisco and linksys.

When I come to call on the Cisco IP phone, number CFA is updated on line phone CUCM configuration.

But when I do call before all on Linksys SPA942/SPA962 phones, number CFA is not enforced CUCM phone line configuration up-to-date.

    A feedback?

    Rgds

    Rajesh Kumar

I can't find documentation to prove this, but I believe that it will not work as you wish. The mechanism that the use of phones IP Cisco to communicate information to the CFA is an owner for the SIP extension, which is blocked on the third-party SIP devices. In other words, RFC3261 does not provide a mechanism to do this. Most likely, the way in which the phone deals with CFA is issuing a REFER message when it receives the INVITATION of CUCM. The easiest way is to be sure of all just take a capture of the two packages the user to CFA and an incoming call while it is on. If she actually uses SEE, you must set the component search space the rerouting on the device in CUCM in a CSS which includes some CFA should be allowed to reach destinations.

  • Integration of CUCM LDAP

We are currently running CUCM 10.5.1 and using all users the.  We want to Setup LDAP integration, and I try to understand what services will be performed.

Can someone inform me what services use the database of the CUCM end-user for authentication?  I guess it's only administrators who log on to the Web site and the Jabber clients.  Is there any other use of these credentials?

Are there any other warnings should I be concerned?  A thought is that I do not want to import a bunch of accounts of service or distribution groups, so I need to put some LDAP filters.  Are there other traps that I should know about?

If you enable access for end users ccmadmin, they would use their LDAP credentials for this, if you set UCMuser, for this as well. If you use Jabber, too.

There is a filter by default for what to import, documentation of CUCM to LDAP synchronization is, what source directory you use, only users will be imported, you can change it if necessary.

  • Voicemail configuration base with CUCM and connections of the unit

    Hello again,

I'm still very new to CUCM.  I am configuring a CUCMB 6.01 test deployment.  He has connections in the integrated unit.  I have 2 DNs assigned to users and Cisco IP phones.  I use MGCP (Cisco 3745 with 2FXO as gateway).  Now, I'm trying to extensions of voicemail installation for the users.  I read a lot of documentation on CUCM and unity, but I know that Unity Express is not what I need, and that you have not found information on the basics of implementing voicemail for users of CUCM.

Users are DN 1001 and 1002 respectively.  They are part of a list of hunting (broadcast) so that the arrival of incoming calls, both phones will ring simultaneously.  Not sure if this has any bearing or not.  I would like to be able to put in place so that each DN rings on the IP phone say 6 times, then go to a Unity voicemail box configuration for that user.  I have already imported users 2 in the unit.  I ran the voice messaging port configuration wizard.  Everything looks as if it runs correctly, but I'm stuck really share say CUCM to route the call to the mailbox of the unit.  Probably the simplest part.  Ideas or help on this would be much appreciated.  Thank you in advance.

    Impetuous salvation,

    CUCM works this way

So the fact that 1001 and 1002 receive calls via a group has a significant impact on this config.

You must keep in mind that a call that is routed through the fighter pilot will always ignore the CFWD settings on phones of hunting member of the group. The normal way to control it then is through disconnection of the Group Hunt members phones combined with the front fighter pilot level settings.

    The following section describes how the parameters to call it forward on the phones of individual members Hunt are ignored when presented a call via the hunting feature. Here's a clip;

    Hunting and call forwarding

The concept of hunting differs from call forwarding. Hunting allows Cisco Unified Communications Manager to extend a call to one or more lists of numbers, where each such list can specify an order of hunting which is selected from a fixed set of algorithms. When a call extends over a part of hunting of these lists and the party does not answer or is busy, hunting resumes from the next part of hunting. (The next party of hunting varies according to the current hunting algorithm). Hunting has so ignore settings call forward No Answer (CFNA), call forward busy (CFB) or call before all (CFA) for the party to attempt (group member line phones).

Cisco Unified Communications Manager offers the possibility to redirect a call when hunting fails (that is, when the hunt ends without a part of hunting to the respondent, due either to exhaust the list of numbers of hunting is to expire). If used, this final redirection includes an automatic call forwarding action. Therefore, the fighter pilot Configuration window includes call forwarding configuration concepts which are similar to those found on the directory number Configuration window.

    Example of a call hunt

Although hunting is different from the transfer, Hunt often develops as a call that gets forwarded to a certain number of fighter-pilot. The protective cover of appeal extends from hunting to allow the final drive after two exhausts of hunting or expires.

A typical call calling hunting can include the following phases:

The appeal of hunting through groupings of posts set up according to the algorithms implemented for each group. Hunting is successful (if it meets a hunting party), exhausts (if all parts of hunting are tempted, but no response), or expires (if the deadline set by the Maximum hunting timer runs out before that all parties are tempted, and none of the parties who have tried to answer).

For the purpose of this example, we assume that hunting does not succeed.

If a form any of the final drive is configured, the call forward for a next destination; otherwise, the call is released.

    Maximum hunting timer

The Maximum Hunt Timer field on fighter pilot Configuration window allows the administrator to enter a value (in seconds) to limit the hunting through a list of hunting season. After gaps in the time specified, if hunting was not successful, the call is transferred to a voicemail system, a specific compound number, or some personal treatment (if configured) or the call is released.

    The good doc.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/voice_ip_comm/CUCM/Admin/6_0_1/ccmsys/a03rp.html#wp1078922

If the call goes unanswered or all Member phones are disconnected, then an attacker needs to be applied at the level of the "fighter pilot".

    Hunt the settings forward

Before hunting without an answer - when did not answered the call which is distributed through the list of hunting at a specific time, this field specifies how to transfer the call.

Destination this parameter contains the number of the directory to which calls are forwarded.

Before busy hunt - when the call which is distributed through the list of hunting is busy at a precise moment, this field specifies how to transfer the call.

Destination this parameter contains the number of the directory to which calls are forwarded.

Maximum Timer Hunt - enter a value (in seconds) that specifies the maximum duration for hunting. (Used in conjunction with Forward busy hunting)

In your case, it is best to configure the DN of a fighter pilot in the extension of alternatives under the 1001 and 1002

    mailbox.

    I hope this helps!

  • CUCM safe harbour

    Hello

Is there a refuge on CUCM documentation as it is about 6500's? I will implement 8.6 but want to install a version of "rubber stamped" instead of the latest version and then discover 3 months down the line that the version is delayed.

    See you soon

    Pieter

I looked briefly resembled this 8.6 releases recently and the release cycle:

    8.6 (1) published on 09/06/2011 - POSTPONED

    8.6(1a) published on 23/06/2011

    8.6 (2) published on 15/09/2011 - POSTPONED

    8.6(2a) published on 27/10/2011

Generally speaking, releases CUCM justifying a DELAY appear to have pulled a few weeks of the initial release.  Of course, there are bugs and problems with any version of the software so there is no guarantee.  Personally, I like looking for a version of the software that is out for at least 90 days without a continuous cycle of later ARE and/or KNOW releases.  Of course, you always want to look into the release notes of the layout information open guard and how it can impact on your environment, but 8.6(2a) is since October until SU1 came out this month.  On this basis, 8.6 SU1 (2A) may be a good point of departure it would be the last version of service for a version that has a life.

  • C20 and 8.5 CUCM

I found the documentation on how to record my C20 in CUCM 8.6 but nothing about CUCM 8.5.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/endpoint/codec-c-series/TC5/administration_guide/administering_endpoints_running_tc5_on_cucm8-6.PDF

I wonder if it is possible with this version 8.5 or I'll have to upgrade to the version at least 8.6. Is this possible? My version of the system: 8.5.1.11900 - 21

If so, can someone point me to the right direction?

    Thank you

    Andre Lima

    Hi André,.

in case you want to save C20 as native of CUCM device, then you must have CUCM 8.6.1 or later with the version of the software on C20 TC 5 or later.

you will be able to save C20 as CUCM 8.5 third-party SIP device

In case you register C40 to CUCM as third party device, you must create a user to digest authentication purposes

Phone select as a (Advanced) third-party SIP device.

Of fact necessary configuration the C40

    1-> advanced Configurations configurations-> SIP

2 configure the SIP URI as [email protected] / * /

    3. Select the default Transport like TCP

    4. Select the Standard Type

    5. configure the address IP of CUCM in the SIP proxy address

    6. set up the authentication information with the username and Digest credentials, configured in CUCM

  • TMSXE and endpoints registered to the CUCM 9.1

I edited this issue to clarify my concern a little *.

    Hello

I'll install 14.3 TMS with TMSXE 3.1.2. Version of Exchange is 2010 SP3. However SX, EX parameters is recorded in CUCM 9.1.1.

The CUCM will be registered with TMS and therefore end points will also be on the MSDS.

I can't find anything in the documentation that was told only that, or instead. Anyone know of any issues/warnings with this configuration and maybe any documentation that gives me more details about this particular deployment? Or it will be just like when endpoints are recorded directly to MSDS?

My concern is that TMSXE may not be able to manage endpoints correctly because they are not directly registered with TMS.

    Thanks in advance

    Oscar

    Hello

Refer to page 72 of the TMS Admin Guide regarding the addition of the CUCM and endpoints running software TE and TC at TMS who are enrolled in the CUCM:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/Telepresence/infrastructure/TMS/admin_guide/Cisco_TMS_Admin_Guide_14-3.PDF

Once you have added the end points registered in CUCM to TMS properly, then you should be good to go TMSXE wrt.

And for my own info, how many systems you will import in TMS via the CUCM?

    Rgds,

    Dale

  • Calls to the CUCM VCS for non-local domains

We have a situation where there is a single VCS control Expressway, CUCM Pub and and Sub 9.1. In the documentation it says to add a SIP road ground is *. * or *. VCs.domain.

Since we have only a single control VCs and highway, clustering is not required and the SIP domain would for example company.com.

CUCM FQDN is set to domain.com.

Now, the domain configured on CUCM being company.com, name will be the *. * model of routing SIP send everything to the VCS with a URI?

Example - Bob and Tom EX - 60 end points are all two CUCM registrants. URI have been set up for their the DN @domain.com

Dials of Bob [email protected] / * /

CUCM will try and send this call to VCS first, even if Tom EX - 60 entered CUCM?

SIP routing model applies to endpoints calling other points of endpoint registered to CUCM?

    Hi Daniel,.

The CUCM that command searching table of URI, is similar to DNs (directory numbers) and RPs (model road). Basically the CUCM will attempt to find the URI locally. If it is available, it will send the call to the URI. If it is not found, it will try to find a match in the SIP routing model. Thus, in you case the default model URI (* or *. *). This is done if the URI does not exist locally.

  • Updated codec C40 to the latest version of the TC software - use CUCM?

I need to upgrade our C40 codecs to patch the vulnerability of Bash.  Currently they all run TC5.1.3.292001.

I noticed a few options in the download options for the included C40.

    (1) Non-crypto and crypto software.  The way I read it, this refers only to the software itself, not any kind of codec options?

    (2) "to be used with CUCM"-I'm not sure how to check it. "  I inherited these devices with no documentation and the original seller is pretty useless.  Is it possible to check?  We use CUCM, but to my knowledge, our phones can't integrate directly with the TP system (we have customers MOVI for this).

    Stuart,

I don't think that Cisco has published a version of TC software that has the fix vulnerabilities of bash.

The non-crypto software has none of the feature SSL on it - IE. signaling/media figures. Usually goes with cryptography is the safer bet unless you're from a country that has to import restrictions.

CUCM - if your termination points are saved to CUCM, then you must use the version of the file CUCM. It will be uploaded to the server CUCM himself by going to install/upgrade the Administration of Cisco's operating system and restart the TFTP service. In this way, the file will be pushed down from the server when the codec is reset.

For the non-CUCM, you use the other file and download the .pkg directly on the codecs. It seems to me that you have a VCS based so the .pkg file deployment, this is what you will use.

I don't know what it means and there seems to be very little documentation on the error and how to solve them. I also ran a capture of packets to see if it would help what anyone and it seemed that it was giving a HTTP 404 error

  • How can I get Jabber works on iPad without CUCM?

    Nice day

Question: How can I get Jabber works on iPad with TMS and VCS instead of CUCM?

    Material: TMS 14.5 with VCSC/VCSE X8.2.1 and TMSPE 1.0

Rarely Jabber is used on an iPad here for the last time we tested, it was probably more than a year and it worked great. I have a new request if and when you go to the store I notice the previous product working is no longer available and has changed for Cisco Jabber 11.0.3. I feel that this only works with CUCM.

Can someone tell me if it is possible to get this new application running without CUCM and rather through VCS /TMS? I tested a variety of attempts to connect to the new application and they are all lead to not being able to find a server. Cisco documentation is a bit complicated on this issue so I'm hoping someone here might have some experience with this.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you
    Mike

The customer you are looking for is 'Cisco Jabber Video for iPad', which is what Jamie refers in its response.

However, the Jabber video for iPad is therefore more available for download, as it's end-of-sale (eos-eol-notice-c51-732786), this is because Apple requires that all their applications must be 64-bit, and it was not possible to update Jabber video application as 32-bit based.  In addition, in the case where you have the video Jabber for telepresence (Movi) customer is also EOS (eos-eol-notice-c51-732787).

Replacement for both video Jabber clients products are Cisco Jabber client (that you mention at the end of your message) with CUCM only, as call manager is management that moves to Cisco for call control.
