• Backup - Snapshot issue / question.

  Greetings,

  I have a fairly new 5.5 ESXi update 2 installation (Essentials). (September 2014).  Currently, I have only a VM on it. It is a stand-alone Server SBS 2011 standard conversion.  The virtual machine works fine without any problems.
  

  The only issue I'm having is with my Barracuda backup system.   It fails at the end of the backup while trying to create a snapshot. I know what you think.  "Why I write this here? '...
  

  I go back with the support of Barracuda.  Everything that they asked me to check, host-wise, wise system and guest-wise I could do and are come empty-handed.  See between the asterisks below for tit last correspondence I had with them (they did the highlighting).
  

  I'm not very well the workings of VMware, so I don't really know where to go from here. Because I came before empty, I'm not even sure that Barracuda is on the right track here.  But I need to get back to them before they will help me any further.  I just need to some advice and assistance to determine if it actually, the question, and if it is, how to remedy or continue troubleshooting.

  I unpaired my 38 m Apple Watch sport when he was to be sent service. Now that I have my replacement watch, it does not show a backup for the last 8 months. I thought that my watch made a return to the top when the coupling and with my nightly backup? All the latest iOS and watch OS versions (not beta). What can I do to prevent it happening again?   The app shows on iPhone takes a backup of your watch when you turn off pairing your watch via the application, subject to your watch while connected to your iPhone at the time:

  • Cancel the twinning of your iPhone - Apple and Apple Watch Support

  To check the Apple Watch backups on your iPhone:

  • Go to settings > general > storage & use iCloud > under "Storage" (not "iCloud"), tap on manage storage > tap Watch > all backups are listed under Apple Watch backups.

  Your iPhone can be automatically saved every day, subject to this function has been activated and subject to certain conditions to be met:

  • In settings > iCloud > enable Backup.
  • Connect your iPhone to a power source.

• Linksys EA9500: FTP issues

  I recently bought and installed a Linksys EA9500 V1.1 running the latest version of the software package (1.1.6.173418).  Overall, the router performs as advertised with almost an improvement of the order of magnitude of speed on my previous router network.  However, it has some quirks that I can't work around.  With a bit of luck, I'm too stupid to configure the settings of the router correctly, but I suspect they are limits in firmware.

  Question No. 1: the FTP server cannot use TLS or SFTP; Passwords are sent in clear text over the internet

  When I try to connect to my router, either from the local network or remotely from the WAN IP address I am unable to connect with active TLS.  Therefore, the user name and password is sent by plain text that could be easily intercepted by someone using a packet sniffer.  This is not a big problem on the local network, but is a serious risk to security connecting from the internet.  At least with TLS, the communication should be encrypted, but it does not appear to be supported by the firmware. am I missing a setting somewhere?  In turn SFTP would work, but it doesn't seem to be an option to activate the SFTP, just a power switch for the FTP setting.  Is there a way to change the default 21 FTP server port to another arbitrary port?  This would at least make it a little less obvious to the casual observer.

  It would bypass the first question I have a unix machine on the internal network that supports SSH and SFTP, and can get in the car to the routher via samba.  Port forwarding can redirect ports to that machine.  I have 4 network security cameras which internal download motion events via FTP on the network.  Through the firmware of the router I can only turn ftp 'on' or 'off' without additional control.  Is there a way to restrict FTP to only the LAN and preventing access over the WAN?

  Alternatively, is there any support for the DD - WRT firmware as with the WRT1900?

  Don't you did everything correctly. The points you mention are not part of the design of the Wifi chip. Without encryption of FTP or the Restriction on the ability of LAN.

  I have this will forward to the genius of Linksys as a feature request.

• Dreamweaver CS5.5 and GoDaddy FTP issues

  Problem: Dreamweaver displays a good connection when the connection test, the FTP log shows a connection, but when I look in the directory of the file to the remote server, it only shows the folder for one of my subdomains with .bash files listed. All the other files in this subdomain are there, but never updated, even when I manually upload files to GoDaddy with their web-based file manager. Until 2014, 1 Sep settings worked very well. the directory of the remote server should display the root, not just the folder for the subdomain folder.

  It is important to note that .bash files are not on the current server. It * must * be too many more files in the folder root that do not appear now, so I wonder what you looking for the FTP client? It seems to focus on the right server, but of course, this isn't * see * right.

• CS3 FTP Issues in XPSP2

  Recently upgraded to DW CS3 on my laptop and desktop, running DW MX2004. Both machines are XP SP2. I have a problem (in all the hosting companies I use, 1 & 1, Omnis, etc.) where my FTP puts will be excessively timeout. I have to click the X in the background file activity window to cancel... and then disconnect the component files... then cancel this operation as well. I wait for 20 seconds, reconnect, and then I can put it--after he tells me on a synchronization problem where I have to click Yes to. This happens 60 percent of the time on the desktop computer, but only 3 to 5% of the time on the laptop.
  
  Also, when I have to cancel the set, my web server displays only a blank page until I can complete a put option. This includes pages that were correctly loaded before... they 'disappear.' I waited to see a Dreamweaver via Adobe Updater update...

  He works with passive FTP mode... but once I close DW, then reopened, he was back to the same old, same old. I failed it and set it to Secure FTP - now, not only works, but it's three times faster.

  New installation of CUE in existing CMF; can ping the CME CUE, but not network. Solve the docs say to make sure that the QUEUE's default gateway is the CME, which he is. What might be missing?

  I think that reset did it too. Using a different subnet or even (with IP unnumbered) as another interface is both took over. It almost seems like the interface fastethernet was perhaps not upward or something then that CUE was the starter. The issue of DNS are during the post-installation script. Must be accessible, unless you tell it not to use DNS.

• Cold backup with online redo logs

  I'm working on 10G in AIX for a single instance
  It's just a general db backup & restore issue, but I have something confused.
  
  I'll take a cold backup with my database ARCHIVELOG.
  No wonder why make a backup of cold because it's a test database that can suffer from loss of data and the time during backup.
  I read some guides. They all mentioned to back up all the data files and control files.
  When restoring I copy all saved data files and control files to the default location.
  Then mount boot;
  Is the last step before opening the database recover database until cancel;
  For the acknowledgement, I do the database recovery command, because again the online newspapers were not saved, so we must recover in order to reset the redo logs.
  For my question, I would be in a position of order recovery of database, then directly the database starts, if I backed up online redo logs and copy the default location when restoring?
  However, I have read a lot of documents that mentions that it is not proposed to backup online redo logs. Is it simply the case that ONLY applied in the backup hot? Do you think all that for my case, cold backup online redo logs is recommended?

  Your media importer does not connect? Can you elaborate on that?  You click 'Switch Media Hub' and enter the IP address of the media center before pressing "Connect"? What the firewall on your computer? Moreover, the import tool can import the following file formats.

  • Music .mp3, .wma, .m4a, .aac, .lpcm, .ogg, .flac, .ac3, .mpa, .aif
  • Pictures .jpg, .png
  • Videos .mpg, .mpeg, .mp4, .avi, .wmv, .divx, .3gp, .asf, .xvid, .m1v, .m4v

  I think that you were not able to access the media through its friendly name pole then it could be the reason why you are having problems importing and both backup tools. Try changing the default friendly name (mediahub) and then customize it back again and see if you are able to access it at the moment. Alternatively, you can try to check if your router uPnP is enabled.

  NTI Shadow could not load a DLL file? I tried to load DLL on my Hub Media files by using the backup tool, and I was able to do. The problem on this particular DLL file only?

  As for the problem of mapping, you got, you can try this first. Linksys ID 17140 response. For the folder name, you can try one of these share folders from BACKUP, FTP and MEDIA.

• problems loading swf to a remote server

  I have problems loading SWF to my remote server of Mr. There is no problem loading all my other SWF files just straight up. I get a message telling me that Dreamweaver is having a problem connecting to the remote server and it times out. I can load up the swf using cpanel. Does anyone have advice helping, what happens if something can be done to address the problem

  BUT in any case I'm not a friend of a detailed diagnosis. This is one of the reasons why I prefer an external FTP program. The difficulties with which we must fight encourage me in this opinion, especially because we are always looking for experts, we charge a 'jack of all trades '.

  For this reason, for example, manage multiple Web sites or download my files and sometimes the reverse, for a necessary download from my server or use a "sync a whole site", I use FileZilla (cpanel I don't even know).   Hi Brett,

  Only the pages and templates have a restore capability. Layouts of web app don't unfortunately. The best practice is to save the layout before you start working on it. I have the file in a backup FTP location is usually or simply copy and paste in a text editor.

  ORa-1113 error means that your application of backup ("retrospective") an ALTER TABLESPACE BEGIN BACKUP and END for each tablespace.

  In 8i, you wouldn't have the command "ALTER DATABASE END BACKUP". Neither the "ALTER DATABASE DATAFILE... BACKUP COPY OF THE END. "

  What you would do is:
  1. start the service.
  2. go to the quick Windows command line as administrator or the account of the OS_DBA Group (with the right ORACLE_SID, ORACLE_HOME and path)
  3 sqlplus / as sysdba
  4 start editing - or ALTER DATABASE MOUNT so it start but not mounted
  5 ALTER TABLESPACE (tablespacename_that_was_in_backup_mode) BACKUP end;
  (if there were spaces of multiple tablespaces in backup mode, issue the END BACKUP for each other)
  6. ALTER DATABASE OPEN;

  The other option in step 5 is the "RECOVER DATABASE". Oracle can ask any archivelogs to synchronize the files data back.

• Backup issues after upgrade to iOS10

  Dear users of Apple,

  I updated my iphone 6 more yesterday with iOS 10. Phone works quite well. But I have my phone backup problems. I usually back up my phone with my iTunes Macbook (Via cable and sometimes on wifi). But after the update to iOS 10 it seems that I can't back up my phone more. I don't know the real cause of this problem.

  1. I am not able to save my iPhone via wifi data in iTunes. (Previously it was not the case).

  2. I tried to back up my phone using the cable also. Also, I pressed "Trust" this computer, but I get this error message. Please see below.

  Also, I allowed my computer by disconnecting iTunes and logging back there. And yet I have the same issues.

  "iTunes could not connect to the iPhone because an invalid response was received from the device."

  Does anyone know what this answer is invalid can be?

  Do I have to change the settings in my phone or iTunes?
