My Compaq Presario F500 uses the Microsoft Vista operating system. I tried to install the trial version of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010. The installation failed and began to 'undo changes' after that that we discovered the previous versions of the trial had been detected. During the uninstall or process "cancel changes", I unplugged my laptop. It was powered by the adapter, no battery. Now, when I start my computer, it goes to Windows Recovery screen. Once I selected "Boot mode safe" or any other option, including the BIOS screen, it goes straight to a black screen and stops. My computer was purchased with Windows Vista preloaded. Any ideas on what is causing the black screen does not? My files on this computer has not been saved. Independent repairers are load and arms and legs. Y at - it an easy solution to this problem that I was able to help out so that my laptop will boot and go to my Windows screen and normal office?

Click on Toshiba Mini - lack of Microsoft Office
I'll try to be as clear and concise as possible.
I just bought a Toshiba with Windows 8 and supposedly click Mini a free one year subscription to Office 365 Personal, which was a big reason to buy. Windows 'guest' improves immediately to 10 Windows, I did. When I looked through the apps install Office/activate my membership there was nothing! I have reset the device and he is now on Windows 8, but still no office! I spoke with someone from Microsoft tech and he says I need a product key, but there is certainly nothing in the box or on the computer. This model is provided with Office 365 preinstalled and only that requires activation? Is it possible to restore the device to exactly as it was fresh out of the box?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can shed some light!

I have exactly the same problem. Bought mine a month ago. Only reason why I chose this particular model was the free subscription of office. I call customer service today but remained without response (even if it was only about an hour). Wonder how much people is tearing their hair on that one? Well, good luck to everyone who is affected, hope that the customer service will come with a solution, otherwise I would consider this a clear case of a product sold!

helloo,
I have a toshiba satallite laptop running windows vista but it is slow uinresponsive and I will get a new laptop so I want to sell it, but the hard drive is faulty, so I can't reformat or restore settings because these require a disc, but I need the laptop to be empty, I'm not very tech savy and I don't know anyone who is so I desperately need help Thanks for any help that can be given.
Hello
ask Toshibaif you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence
____________________________________________________
the other way to solve this problem;
Replace the CD/DVD drive, then:
Contact Toshiba and ask them to send you recovery disks vista to reinstall the operating system as it was when you bought it
they do it for a nominal cost of $
