2 when was the last time it was working fine?

3. did you of recent changes on the computer?

I suggest that you connect a different mouse to the computer or test the mouse on another computer and check if the problem persists.

I use a Dell desktop computer and Dell USB mouse, both over 4 years. The problem started all of a sudden a few weeks ago and makes any form of activity on very frustrating computer Solitaire to surf the web.

    Hi AndrenaZZ,

    You can try:

    1. research in the device next to the 'mouse and pointing devices' Manager by clicking on the sign '+' to expand and see if there are any faulty drivers. If there are, uninstall and restart your computer and let the system re - install.

    2. replace the mouse if it does not work.

  • Cursor starts moving across the screen from left to right after the wake up the computer from standby or hibernation

    Original title: cursor goes wild

My PC to 'wake up' sleep/hibernate, the cursor initially moving across the screen from left to right, in which window is open, destroy all the document is on the screen. I force Windows to close. How to solve this other than turning off standby/hibernation?

Looks like the cursor of the mouse is very sensitive when the computer comes out of standby or hibernation.
I suggest that you go in the mouse properties and lower the sensitivity and see if that helps.
You also need to update any driver mouse if possible.

Let us know if that helps.

  • Vista, why my cursor jumps around on the screen without reason?

Vista, why my cursor jumps around on the screen without reason?

You are using a laptop with a touchscreen?  Chances are good that you accidentally touch the touchpad while typing, and that moves the cursor.  Go to start / Control Panel / mouse and see if there are controls for adjusting the sensitivity of the touchpad or to disable the touchpad while typing.  Go to the web site of the manufacturer of your and download the latest device drivers, firmware, and software for touchpad you and your mouse (if you also have a mouse - you may have to go the manufacturer of the mouse for these drivers, if she did not come with the system).  New updates can offer options that did not exist before like the ones I mentioned.

This happened to me also and I bought a separate mouse and disabled the touchpad and the problem disappeared - but he had me past for awhile until I finally figured it out by typing differently (with my hands up higher so the Palms do not touch and had no problem).  Even if this isn't the problem, update the drivers, firmware or software can solve the problem on its own.

If none of the works above, we will need either to run a complete troubleshooting procedures (post back and I'll meet with them) or the touchpad or mouse is defective and must be replaced.  You can discuss these last with the computer manufacturer when you talk to them (if you talk to them).

I hope this helps.  If you have any questions along the way, come back and I'll do my best to answer.

    Good luck!

  • Shortened desktop.ini keeps appearing on the screen even after the deletion.

On both of my Win 8 PC desktop.ini darn shortcut icon keep appearing on my desktop screen.  If I delete... he returns later.  How can I stop this?  Never had this problem on any other Windows operating system over the years.  It's boring.

    Hello

Desktop.ini is a system file that addresses common issues such as downloads, Documents, photos and music etc. When a change is made in these files, Desktop.ini is updated.

I would suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.

    a. press on the key windows + E.

    b. click the view at the top of the screen.

    c. Once you click view, choose options.

    d. click change folder and search options.

    e. click on the tab display.

    f. check "Hide protected operating system files".

Hope this information helps. Answer the post with an up-to-date issue report to help you further.

  • Windows 8, windows install keeps flashing on the screen several times only WILL NOT STOP

    Hello

I'm having a weird bug, that I have not met before with windows install.

I tried to install a version of MS Access 2000 Runtime on my machine to windows 8 dell inspiron 660. (The company I work again to use access 2000 Apps)

The installation failed and basically the planted program without completing the installation.

Immediately after what happened the windows Setup window started blinking on the screen very fast.

I tried a system restore, the program Microsoft 'fix - it' (do not do anything), and I have restored the registry from a backup without success.

The ONLY medium to stop flashing windows setup is to stop the windows service install, but when you start to use the pc new installer windows itself will start up and the flashing continued.

I can't find a way to disable windows full installer (apparently windows 8 will not let you change the start type services.msc )

Dell technical support was also no help because they wanted me to pay the money even if its in warranty.

I'm thinking really just install xp on it and be done with this...

    Hi all

Thanks a lot for taking the time and effort to help me. I'm very grateful for that. The thing that worked for me tried a soft reset by pressing the power button and volume buttons, and then restore to the factory settings. I hope that it works for anyone who might encounter the same problem. Thanks again!

  • Place the cursor on top of the screen

    Hello

I have a screen with several fields in a VerticalFieldManager.

I would like to a target field is near the top of the screen as much as possible when I call setFocus on it.

At present, the target area is on the bottom of the screen (as if I scrolled down until I got it).

I want to be on the top of the screen.

    How can I do?

    Thank you

    Resolved:

((TitleField)mgr.getField(0)).setFocus(); // scroll it to the bottom of the screen
getScreen().scroll(Screen.DOWNWARD); // make it go up but focuses the bottom most element
((TitleField)mgr.getField(0)).setFocus(); // reset the focus to the field, now at the top

  • Rectangle unremovable keeps appearing on the screen

On Mac, CS6, there is a rectangle that is always visible and I can't remove it.

It seems even on each document and even if no documents are open.

There is static on the screen and hold it with when you move the document.

Maybe it's a bug or something in the GUI?

Even a reboot of the system doesn't fix it.
