My cursor keeps darting on the screen when I'm using the mouse

I use a Dell desktop computer and Dell USB mouse, both over 4 years. The problem started all of a sudden a few weeks ago and makes any form of activity on very frustrating computer Solitaire to surf the web.

Hi AndrenaZZ,

You can try:

1. research in the device next to the 'mouse and pointing devices' Manager by clicking on the sign '+' to expand and see if there are any faulty drivers. If there are, uninstall and restart your computer and let the system re - install.

2. replace the mouse if it does not work.

Good luck

If you are allowing others to use the computer, set up a new account for each user.  They would then not be able to display your desktop or Skype messages.

  • The mouse out of control! Trying to type a letter and the cursor is darting in the page and remove words and whole sentences somewhere else!

I have problems with my mouse wireless mobile 4000.  I bought it because I thought that this would solve the old problem of mouse.  Cursor has a mind of his own since I downloaded Office 365.  Read on 'Community' that others were aware of similar problems, I thought that a new mouse would be the answer.  IS NOT...  Can someone walk me there through what to do to fix this?  I tried to download updates from Windows, but somehow, it cannot download all updates.  There are 8 that simply will not download?

    Hello GmaPauline,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Community and we provide a detailed description of the issue.

By the description, I understand that the problem with the mobile wireless 4000 mouse does not work in the system.

Certainly, I understand the concern, and will try my best to help you.

Given that the question is displayed with a new mouse as well as it could be the driver of the mouse and more specific to the computer. There may be possibility of a virus attack.

    Method 1:

Run a full scan of the computer with the Microsoft Safety Scanner to make sure that the computer is virus-free.

Microsoft, security scanner please follow the steps in the link provided below.

Note: data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means there is a risk of data loss.

If the problem persists, follow method 2

    Method 2:

How to use the tool File Checker system to fix missing or damaged system files, please follow the steps in the link provided below.

Well, I'm a frequent user Firefox announcement recently that my cursor began to disappear when I'm not moving it. However when I press a key it flashes back for a second, when I move it sparkles a lot (one moment sound here awhile it isn't). How can I fix it?

    This has happened

One of your modules could be the culprit. Try running Firefox in questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode with all disabled add-ons. Suggestions:

    Go to Safe Mode:

Shut down your computer > turn it back on and immediately and repeatedly tab key F8 until you see a black and white screen. Use the up/down arrow and selectSafe Mode with command prompt.

    1. in safe mode, please do a system restore. Choose the date where you did not have this problem as your restore point.
Start button > Search box, type system restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, until the click > next > finish
To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done.

    2. always in safe mode, do a check of the file system. See if file check will check for corrupted files and repair them.

Start button > Search box type cmd > look up, do a RIGHT click oncmd.exe > click onRun As Administrator > in this window cmd black and white, type at the prompt flashing sfc/scannow > press the ENTER key.

  • The mouse jumping around corner on its own (TX2000 tablet PC)

HP needs to fix or replace my HP TX2000. The mouse cursor keeps jumping to the bottom right of the screen on its own. I realized that there are a lot of heat generated in this corner of the basic reason keyboard, making it probably the mouse jump there. the mouse works perfectly when I rotate the screen of this corner, but lie, which makes it extremely difficult to work with the screen tilted in a different direction and the Del key BkSpace hiding behind the screen! Ofcuorse, this heat is the culprit and a strange design of unit fault!

I had this same problem (although it seems a bit more sporadic than what others have experienced).

The physical reason of the problem seems to be the corner of the base of the shelf RF interference; because the tablet takes the pen by measuring how much the emitted RF is altered by the pen, the interference near the corner must "look like" the pen being there.

I have "confirmed" this by placing a piece of foil between the screen and the base (in the corner only); This removes the behavior of jumping.  Although I did not open my tablet, I suppose that the interference comes from the power of conditioning circuits for the processor?

In regards to the Wacom HID "pen" disable the fix mentioned above: the feather still work like a pen (RF, with a fine location and pressure sensitivity), or it doesn't work like a 'finger' (capacitive touch sensor on screen, much coarser location resolution)?

  • Menu MovieClip to follow the mouse

    Hello

I think that my previous post has lost everyone who reads it, so no answers. I will try to explain more clearly.

If you look at this site www.douglasfisher.co.uk and click on "portfolio", then one of the images he has a mouse following menu which is works very well - how can I create that! ?

I can handle a similar menu following good mouse, the problem I have is when the user comes out of the MC of the right or down - the MC keeps sticking as the mouse enters the MC

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Mark

If your submenu (that of the mouse tracking) called "submenu", you must assign an onRollOver and onRollOut event

    {subMenu.onRollOver = function ()}
    stop movement menu
    }

    {subMenu.onRollOut = function ()}
    follow the mouse

  • The mouse cursor disappears when iTunes movie go full screen

This isn't a question... actually I found a hack solution to this bug and I wanted to share it with other people having the same problem.

Since the upgrade of the OS X El Capitan, I'm having a problem with my cursor disappears randomly. It is very repetitive if I start a video in iTunes with the enlarged screen and the cursor disappears. Indeed, after entering mode full-screen, iTunes mask the cursor of the mouse that is predictable. The problem is that iTunes may not reappear there again once, for example, when I go to another office for a temporary job.

Move the mouse does nothing, escaping mode full screen does not come back. It is very annoying. Like I had never had such a frustrating experience prior to a new installation of El Capitan 10.11.3 and update iTunes to 12.3.3, I thought that this is due to the update to iTunes. So, I made another new facility of El Capitan, this time without updating iTunes. But the problem still exists. It is interesting that I had this problem on my MacBook Pro 17 "end 2011 and not with my iMac 21.5" mid-2009!

After a little research, I found that this bug is not because of El Capitan, and happened randomly in the other years dating back to Tiger and maybe before.

Only new change I had made in my MBP Preferences system , was in the part of accessibility, and it was related to Zoom. I had always used this feature, but I put the Zoom Style 'full-screen'. This time (after the new installation of El Capitan), I had changed to 'Picture-in-Picture'.

I changed the Style of zoom "full screen" even once, and the problem resolved.

If this does not work for you, can be debilitating, other options, such as 'Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom' or 'Use of scrolling with keys of change to zoom movements,' can solve the problem.

We all know that it is a bug, and he has been there for a long time. I found that many people had reported it to Apple, but the problem persists.

For those of you who want to use the zoom "Picture-in-Picture" style, or set the zoom style full screen does not solve the problem of their mouse disappears, I will mention a few ways to recover the mouse cursor. The following solutions are applied to a mouse cursor disappeared after entering the movie to iTunes (or any other application) full screen.

    1. Move the mouse until the switching Office brings back the cursor. Now, you can switch the desktop computer and do whatever you want. (It's easier work, at least for me).
    2. Use Alt - Tab to switch to another program; This will bring the mouse cursor.
    3. Press Ctrl + F2 to activate the Apple menu. (You can also move your cursor away to top left and click to activate the menu.)
    4. Press Ctrl + up arrow (or swipe up with 4 fingers on the touchpad) to activate the control of the Mission.

You can also find other ways to retrieve the cursor of your mouse.

Hope this can help you with the mouse pointer disappears.

In MBP El Capitan the pointer of the mouse is where you assign to ' picture in picture ' or 'full screen '.

If you miss your mouse pointer, accessibility-> display "Shake mouse to locate" check to find your mouse pointer. It should be there.

Note: you have posted in the discussion of the Mavericks, should have used the ElCapitan discussion...
