Curve adjustment option

When I used the curve adjustment option, I pulled the curve down to get the photo darker.  Somehow something has changed and now the photo is lighter.

How can I change this

Thank you

Bob

It is possible that you see the difference between the RGB vs CMYK mode edition edition. In RGB mode, dark colors are left and highlights or white on the right. In CMYK, the opposite mode. If the image is CMYK, you will get a lighter image when you pull down.

Fortunately, you can get the display of curves to show you the curve you like. Opinion on the attached screen capture the marked area curve Display Options. Switch of pigment ink to light and your controls work as you are used, any color space is the document.

If you use an adjustment layer, you will find the curve display options from the dropdown at the top right (see screenshot)

Hi I need to know how to expand the curves adjustment Panel. For example, I need to enlarge the graphic part so that I can view on a screen at the school and work from this Panel to expand. Thanks, Phil

You can not. At least, not directly Ben Photoshop. For example, this can be done in Gimp and Photoline, and I had hoped that developers of Photoshop team would have done this allowance now. But no, we're still stuck with a tiny curved panel, which is a real shame, because in other applications, the user can be more precise with the curves.

If you don't need to show close-ups during class time, use Zoomit in Windows, or turn on the Magnifier in the accessibility on a Mac option.

  • Pipette in the curve adjustment dialog box average pixels, so the color balance is watered.

    Hi all.

When you use the pipette to set the points black and white pixels of an image in the dialog box curve setting, I found that it seems not middle of the neighbouring pixels or provide a way to select a value "monochrome".  Thus, the color balance is still impaired and is thrown way if you happen to choose a noisy pixel (for example).

I expect that there is an option to set the size of the sampling for the pipette area, but I don't see one.  I have considered making the monochrome image, defining curves, save them as a preset, and then reload the image color and apply the preset (if she does not leave me); but this seems heavy and hokey.  What is the usual procedure to adjust the tone curve of the image without changing its color balance?

    Thanks for any idea.

When you select an eyedropper in the curves adjustment dialog box, you went to the eyedropper tool.

You then set the sample in the Options bar.

In the curves adjustment layer, any pipette also has sample settings in the Options bar.

  • Why the curves adjustment, often in front of which layer is the standard?

When I do a PS CC2015 curves adjustment layer often the graph is opposite, so to make an image, I have to make the curve rises and light, have to go down.  Why it does this?

It's driving me crazy and looks odd and makes me think that I work badly.

In the curves adjustment layer properties click on the upper right. In the drop-down menu, choose Display Options of the curves where light vs Pigmentf/ink radio buttons control the meaning of the scales of the layer of setting the tone.

  • CS6 and curves adjustment

Before making the adjustment in the curves panel procedure in past editions was to the curve in the upper part to lighten the picture and lower it to darken the image.  Mine is just the opposite.  When I increase (or raise) the curve of the image darkens and when I lower it lightens.  The lower part to the works of contrast the similarly to backwarsds.  Something has changed or is it something I did?

You use an Image or an adjustment layer curves > adjustments > curves?

Under curves display options, you have probably not light checked.

  • Photoshop CS4 or 5 curves command-option-shift click

Back in the day, if you did the combination of command-option-shift, click in the curves adjustment window, he scored those points on all channels, so you could then make adjustments to this one place. This seems to have disappeared. Is it? Is there a replacement? This point of the curve of drag, it's not what I need.

    Open the curves Panel.

Activate the targeted adjustment tool (small finger thingy).

Command-click on the image focuses on the active curve.

Shift-command-click place points on all curves of color channel.

    Scroll the channels:

Option 2 for the composite layer

Option 3, 4, 5, 6 (if CMYK) for the individual color channels.

Takes awhile to get used to, but that is the reality today. You get used to it.

  • No dialog on the curves adjustment layer?

Just started using CS4 and when I create a curves adjustment layer, no dialog box appears before the creation of the layer. What is going on?

You click on it. Then, choose something like curves. In the settings of the curves Panel will show. Make the settings there. There is also a small arrow upwards downwards to the right of the Panel. Click on that for many more options

    The curve in LabVIEW exponentaial model is y = a * exp(b*x).
Is it possible curve to adapt a model y = a - a * exp(b*-x). An example of this model

Yes, just use the generic non-linear curve adjustment and write your own template.

  • curve adjustment function does not work

    Hi all

I am trying to bend fitting, a graphic. but the curve adjustment function does not work. I get no output curve.

    which suggests to me u.

    Thank you

You have been asked to view the code. We cannot solve the photos.

Matrices X and Y are same length? Is a NaN value? What the output error say you?

(Also note that in this case, it would be convenient if we don't need to wire x take a look at this idea!)

This discussion is useless until you attach a real VI and data, so please.

  • In Lightroom tone curve adjustment tool responds very slowly.

When I use the tone curve adjustment tool in Lightroom, the curve follow my Wacom pen. It's the response is slow, not smooth and most of the time if prefer to move to the left instead of to the top. This problem makes it very difficult to make small adjustments. I tried to use a mouse and I still have the same problem. Another person had the same problem and solved? Can Adobe, you help me?

    Thank you

Try the Wacom tablet preference file utility. First, click on "Backup" and save the file in a folder or office location.  Then click on 'Remove', which restores the default settings. If it does not improve the behavior of Tablet use the "Restore" button and select the file to backup with your previous settings.

  • Change of the pipette in the curves adjustment layer

In versions previous of the PS when you opened a curves adjustment layer, hovered over the image, the cursor was a dropper, and when you pressed the mouse button a point appears on the curve showing the wherever the task on the image fell on the curve.  I used a lot.

In CS4 that the pipette has been replaced by the line of sight (plus sign?), and when you click on a location in the image, nothing happens.   How to bring back the former function?

Always available, but with different commands.  Here is a link that describes in detail.

The brightness/contrast and curves in the settings options are dimmed. How do I get these back from work?

You're covers a part of the information on the screenshot file, but I think that you are in 32-bit mode. These features do not work with it. Switch to 16 or 8-bit.

  • Color curves adjustment.

Hi, I use PSE 9 and I find very good for the price.  I am now retired, but when work used Photoshop 6 to work. I found much easier rather than levels curves color adjustment and had a better mastery of the desired result.

This option is not available on PSE 9 I wondered if it had been included with PES 10.  If not, can anyone suggest another option to adjust the color of the curves more than to have to pay for Photoshop CS5?

    Regards dpi300.

Nothings changed in this regard in ESP 10.

There is sort of a function curves under Enhance > adjust color > adjust color curves.

If your Windows, Smart curve looks like real curves except that it is not an adjustment layer.

Not sure if there is a free plugin for mac that does the same thing with the exception of action of curves in grant tools, but you can only set the RGB channel.

  • Curve adjustment not linear function

    Hello everyone:

I'm a little new here and at the same time a new learner for labview. My need for laboratory to adjust the data which are not linear, so, I choose to use the model non-linear curve VI. But when I run the VI, the error is that:NI_Gmath.lvlib:LM formula function.vi:7290001 string, or other displayments of the error. I tried several times, but unfortunately didn't. The problem may be the expression of the function form. Moreover, the design of the VI is not mine, it's Forum OR. Any constructive suggestions will be welcome.

    The form:

    y = Y0 + (Nr * cos (A)) + *(x-W1)/((x-W1) a1 ^ 2 + L1 ^ 2) + a2 *(x-W2)/((x-W2) ^ 2 + L2 ^ 2)

In fact, the form is very long, I just write some.
