CVP 4.0 (2) bootstrap.vxml

Hello

I have a CVP 3.1 working system that I'm migrating to 4.0 (2) CVP.

I upgraded my IOS 12.4 GW/GA 2811 (6) T and applied the config which was OK in 3.1 CVP. I downloaded the new .tcl and .vxml files of the distribution and reloaded the router so that they are active with the new code.

The leg of the switch worked well. If I changed my script ICM to return a label on the customer SVC routing to one of my phones, the phone rang.

If I inserted a node 'Send to URV' he fell from the call, and I could see the trace of the bridge (debug on vxml application error) he tried to call my server call with undefined://undefined: not defined/cvp/VBservlet.

I managed to make it work by hacking the bootstrap.vxml to set what must have been completed in the above URL:

PROTOCOL

HOST

PORT

make the script look a bit like the bootstrap.vxml on CVP 3.1. Here are my changes:

ISN-vxml is defined by the ip host table.

I had to set the DNIS differently as above - I could see that the error in the CallServer DNIS was a required argument.

My question is this.

I guess the CallServer is supposed to be passing values such as PORT, PROTOCOL etc. in the file bootstrap.vxml when he calls it, but mine is obviously not and I don't know what I should have done to make this work.

Things are definitely different with 4 CVP. ;-)

Kind regards

Geoff

Hi Geoff,

These get variables defined in bootstrap.tcl. It seems to me that bootstrap.vxml have called directly instead of via bootstrap.tcl. Date of arrival:

1. that the inbound voip dial-peer on the VRU leg calls the service attached to bootstrap.tcl.

2 set "debug script voip application" and "debug voip application tcl" and make sure you see bootstrap.tcl have invoked. Him debugs should show a procedure of transfer of bootstrap.vxml with all these settings.

    Hi all

The question now is with the E1 shared

    Hey Mickey,

I'm in the same boat as you and wrote an email to send to our contacts of Cisco, but decided to look in the tree, and I found that you need:

In C:\Cisco\CVP\VXMLServer\conf, there is a file called login.properties

  • UCCE/CHP - backup before YOU patch?

    Hi all
    Running packed EAC 9.0.4 & CVP 9.0.1.
What is your typical backup (if any) procedure before you apply the fixes ES UCCE/CHP?
Since it is a virtual environment, is it wise to simply clone the servers in question to be used as a backup in case of installation errors ARE?
Suggest this as preferable method (with VSphere Clone VMs/create OVF) during a more traditional backup as something that could be made in a non-virtualized UCCE environment? (i.e. export config and backup CVP CVP call servers and gateways VXML of OAMP, backup bases CHP, using SQL, back up the registry key "Register of Cisco Systems, Inc.", use the utility NTBACKUP (?), etc...)
    Thank you
    Mike

There is no need to take a backup before installing any ON boxes of UCCE. If anything is required to do before applying the ES, the same would be mentioned in the release notes ARE himself. You can follow the above-mentioned procedure that otherwise needs.

OK, so if 'My term' does not work then you might want to try the "logging console command.

but I do not see what I wanted,

    /en_gb/app/Whisper.wav - 80 - #. ###. ##. # cisco-IOS-C3900e/15.3 404 0 2 0

The 404 indicates that the file is not available at the location defined in media server.

The very basic test you can do is, open the browser on the machine where you can join the media server and type below URL.

    http:///en_gb/app/whisper.wav

and if you see the 404 error, most probably the file is missing in app/en_gb/site, or maybe you're trying to find bad file.

one last thing, en_gb (trait underscore between fr and gb) will not be supported in a later version of the CVP.

It should be replaced by en-gb(en hyphen gb).

therefore ensure that the locale folder CVP could be defined as en - us, but you're trying to get en_US.

  • Help Cisco CVP 9

I need to get all the information on incoming calls on the Cisco CVP 9, but I have no idea on how to do it.   Read a lot of docs on Cisco CVP and I see that it contains several parts (call studio, server, vxml, call Server, report server, etc.).

I would have advice on places where (in the xvml server, call Server, etc.) I can use a webservice or create a routine that sends the information to a different server or redirect this information to a database.

  • Transfer to warm CVP - keyword 'media' for the IP address of the Media Store?

    Greetings,

There is a nice feature in the microapp normal CVP scripts where the ECC user.microapp.media_server as the 'media' string variable is defined, and inserted the expressions 'ip host media a.b.c.d' and "ip host media-backup l.m.n.o" on the catwalks.

This committed an automatic retry mechanism should files WAV is not found on the first server of Media Store.

When the heat via a queue transfer is set up, the route on CallManager point triggers a script through the number dialed, which performs a translation of a Type 2 CVP course. That VB CVP is added to CallManager as a H323 gateway with game media endpoints. VB should be configured to talk with the guard to solve the second agent phone when they are targeted by the ICM router. It took a little while to get this working, and I'm not sure that I completely understand who does what in this system (the CVP Blues).

    But I have a question.

If I use 'media' here to play the music on hold in the queue there are poor extraction. Substituting the IP address of the media store has solved the problem.

Am I right in thinking that the VXML to this action takes place outside of the voice browser CVP on Type 2 (and not the bridge) and therefore 'media' does not solved?

Is it a framework (pair of parameters) can be done in the CVP speech browser to allow the 'media' keyword must be used in routing ICM scripts and get the retry system that seems to be the gateway? I looked at all the parameters of VB in VBAdmin, but none of them seem suited look.

I have observed with the script normal microapp instructions to try again come in fact the application server when fetch the first bad happens. The application server seems so be sure that the pair meets and promotes this one as the first to try. I see a similar behavior with TTS.

I wish I could have the hot transfer working with redundancy with normal microapps regarding media stores. Is this possible? Is the standard answer to use a content Services switch?

    Kind regards

    Geoff

    Geoff,

You are right that in this case, the voice browser CVP will play guests. To enable failover of media server in this mode, simply set the 'media' host name in DNS (or in etc/hosts if you don't have DNS) to have two IP addresses for the two media HTTP (do a "ipconfig/displaydns") servers. The voice browser CVP will try all of the IP addresses that the 'media' hostname resolves to in case one fails. There will be a little late at the beginning of each call, then the voice browser tries to access the main media server, however, for the rest of the call, the voice browser will continue to use the backup there will be no further delay in the call. See 'ShowMediaServerTimeout' and 'ShowMediaServerTries' in the Setup Guide & Admin CVP. Note that the host name does not need to be 'media' - there just need match everything that was put in the ICM media_server ECC script variable.

The CVP voice browser cannot use CSS to load balancing media server or failover for two reasons:

o CVP Voice Browser does not support the implementation of cache or HTTP redirect and would therefore require the CSS to the proxy the media stream for all audio files for each call.

o the CSS has been con¸u to serve Web pages, not large amounts of voice traffic in packets. A steady stream of audio files would have an impact on the serious performance on the CSS.

    Michael,

Looks like you are using a resource of PSG where he shouldn't. Check your gateway CVP device in CCM. You do not want PSG checked on this device, otherwise each call transferred out of CVP will use a PSG.

Instead what you want to do is to create a new and distinct GK-controlled trunk. Activate the PSG on the trunk. Create a routing model in MAC which tip calls from IP phone to CVP to this trunk GK-controlled. So * only * the IP-phone calls came from will have to use a PSG and normal call of the CVP to CCM will not transfer. Tip: on the configuration screen road in CCM, make sure that you add a # 2 to the number otherwise the call will never happen to the CVP. You need not put a zone prefix in the GA if you precede the # 2 as the GK automatically finds CVP since it saves by default with the prefix # 2 tech.

OK, these steps will seem familiar.

    5. NVRU Explorer - Type 10 Network VRU, label for the CUCM routing client associated with the customer instance. Let's say this is 1000003.

    6. NVRU Explorer - Type 10 Network VRU, label for the CVP routing client associated with the customer instance. Let's say this is 1000001 and 1000002.

Sorry, why you have different VRU transfer labels for your customers to routing two CVP? These should be the same. The front door will be a dial peer to make up for it and run the bootstrap, so he would look to 1000001 T. Everyone does the same thing (the doc of Cisco uses 8111111111).

I always like to do these EXACTLY the number of digits configured on the tab of the Max Length of DNIS ICM - this allows the server to call out the correlation ID. So in your case I 100000003 (CUCM RC) and 100000001 (all CR CVP).

Routing model has sent the 1000003xxxx call to CVP. It would normally start a new call, but the presence of the correlation ID that means it sends the info to the router and he finds the script, he stopped at the first send to VRU and it resumes.

    10. CVP has a static route on 1000003* to send the call to the CVP Call Server.

    You don't want the above.

Now, he meets a second Envoy to VRU. In this case, the RC is CVP - then it returns 1000001xxxx to the CVP and there is a static route to the gateway to start the bootstrap. If you're good.

I recommend the explicit send to VRU node. Easier to spot the error.

    Kind regards

  • Autonomous CVP to full cvp

    Hello guys,.

I have a question, I have a stand-alone CVP VXML Self Service and I need to integrate the CVP UCCE as SIP CVP full, which is necessary to change the configuration? Need reinstall the cvp Server?

Can anyone suggest me how I can switch to this new scenario with the least impact?

    Thank you

Not a not too post this question on the Forum from the developer CVP? I replied very briefly here.

You don't have to reinstall - that depends on how you ran Setup initially. If you have installed the call Server and ORM layer when you installed CVP VXML, you have everything there.

I made an installation year last for a customer. They initially wanted full CVP, including a financial application self-service talk to SAP. But then they wanted to wait for ICM 8.5 (2) W2008 so the project has been split into 2 phases of deployment - the application self-service as a Standalone CVP and then later the CVP contact center supplements (SIP).

Because I knew a normal full installation came I just installed according to the normal and added the servers VXML itself (not 'stand-alone') to the device Console Ops map. The stand-alone application was developed and deployed to production. A few months later, the contact center was built with full CVP (SIP).

The stand-alone application remains in place. You can mix them if you wish. Peer option selector the company.

The only thing you can change if you have added servers VXML device Console Ops such as 'Stand-alone' card, you can remove them and add them again as usual servers VXML.

I can't say for sure, you'll have everything you need. It depends on how the initial installation was made. Could have checked a couple of boxes that you leave normally set.

    Kind regards

  • Node ReqICMLabel failing to do apply for a standalone app than ICM CVP course

Hello. I have a stand-alone CVP application that contains a node of reqICMLabel that seems to be failing to apply for road running. I tested two scenarios; in the first, I provide a dnis in the second, I'm leaving the unspecified dnis and have built a number dialed "NA" and it associated with the routing for my CVP customer. In both cases I followed the VRU PIM and not seeing any routes sent queries.

When the DNIS is specified, the node reqICMLabel seems not to recognize the dnis, even if it is defined in the activity log. These logs are here:

My VRU PIM is in place and the customer routing is active. I use VRU type 10 for this. Wondering if this should be a different type of VRUS? -Update, just found some documentation that does not specify any VRU network must be configured for stand-alone CVP PIMs, so I guess that's not the issue.

    Thank you!

    Brad

your VXML server is a stand-alone?

using CVP tcl self-service for this application?

can you post your call logs from the server for that?

  • Autonomous CVP w Reporting. VB Admin out of Service

    CVP 4.1

    Autonomous with reporting model:

    1 GW 3845

    1 MCS 7845 call + VxML Server

    1 MCS 7845 Reporting Server

    1 MCS 7835 OPerations Console

    1 studio of MCS 7835

I registered online PAK codes for the

-Server-Sw and applied the ICA on the server to call

-CVP 20 VxML Ports on the VxML Server 4.x

-Reporting Prem lic on the report server

    using the operations Console

Also, added the GW and transferred the CVPSelfService.tcl, the CVPSelfServiceBootStrap.vxml and the CriticalError.wav to the same using the Console.

Call the server, server VxML and Reporting Server are UP on the Console.

Have restarted the combo CallServer + Vxml Server, but the speech browser shows out of Service and tries to contact the GK.

But it is independent, there is no GA, why VB is trying to get a GK?

I didn't go any single on the VB Admin command, as the configuration guide has not said to me to do.

    First Question:

    1. While installation was SVC Call Server I supposed to select H.323 as Autostart CVP VB services at startup, no. Sytem restart on error display & CVP VB window on startup, or NOT?

Because I did, but then I added call server in the Console of the operation - I did not any service at all.

    2. If the answer to the above question is that Yes, I had to select H.323 Services/Start VB window etc. during the installation options. Then what don't get me, why the VB is out of service and it is looking for a GA?

    Kindly help.

    No voice browser is required.

  • CVP file propagation

    Hi all

Does anyone know is it possible to automatically propagate multimedia files between several media CVP servers? Here we were able to find a description that says this is possible. But it seems to me after several tests with two or three servers media that this feature is available for the wishes of files record agent!

    Thanks in advance

The best solution is to Microsoft SynchToy, we used this way in our environment and it works fine.

You must add a pair of source and destination for each other than the Publisher a media server.
