Data NMEA which are received on the serial port, when the system starts causes windows 7 to interpret these data as a serial ballpoint mouse and moves the cursor jumping around.

I know this question was asked several times before, but the solutions proposed, such as changin the registry does not help. It changes by itself. In the configuration that I have in my boat, the stream of NMEA data is directly injected into the COM port so no driver is necessary. It's a problem easily solved in windows XP, why is it so difficult in W7? There must be a way to permanently disable the plug-and-play driver load. I found this program that works only for Vista, if I understand correctly: http://www.stentec.com/en/download-freeware COM port plug & play blocker. If something similar could be provided by MS for W7, it would be very good...

It turns out that the program at the port of Stentec COM (freeware) http://www.stentec.com/en/download-freeware care & play blocker, also works in W7. I don't know how it works, but it does, and it's good for me! It also works for the virtual serial ports.

I found that when typing, my wrist is sometimes contact with the touchpad causing the cursor to jump on.  Something specific on how you type 'you' might make your wrist touch the touchpad.  If this is your case, there is a program called 'touchfreeze' which disables the touchpad while you type.

    Hello

1 does happen on all applications?
    2. you are using a desktop computer or a laptop?

    Method 1.
If you use a laptop try disable the touchpad and check.

    Method 2.
    Step A.
Check to see if the problem exists in Safe Mode, if the computer works as expected in mode without failure, then we can solve the problem in the clean boot state.

See the article below for the procedure safe mode in Windows XP

    Step B.
You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.

Just a guess, you could have a setting on a place where some keys move the mouse. That would be used in the case that you do not have a mouse.

Other that I can't help you much. If you are using a desktop computer, try to unplug the mouse and see what happens. If you're on a laptop, it could be that the trackpad is having problems.

    wendyjjll,
Thank you for visiting the Microsoft Answers community forum.

Most likely, the problem is due to the sensitivity of your touchpad.  Whenever you type, your thumb probably affects the touchpad with the cursor to another location where you type.  You can set the sensitivity of your touchpad, or turn off the tapping by going into settings start, Control Panel, mouse and keyboard.  If it is not under that, the manufacturer of the laptop most likely installed custom software to control the touchpad.  Let us know what kind of cell phone, brand and model, and we will be able to help you.

  • Typos, the cursor jumps around.

    Hello

IM using Dell (Dell Touch Pad) laptop computer with windows operating system - Vista Home Basic.

My problem is that I can't type anything permanently as my cursor jumps towards the left side of the track on top, thus creating the typos or typing. This is the case for all programs of n of application like word, chat IM etc...

Please help me solve this problem.

    Thanks & best regards,

    Jose

The highest probability is that you don't accidentally touch the TouchPad while you type and who moves the cursor.  This happened to me until I bought a laser mouse and disable the Touchpad - then the problem has disappeared.  If you don't want a separate mouse, you may need to change the posistion of your hands while you type to avoid the problem.

Check the Dell website with your product key to see if they have new Touchpad drivers available (I just got one recently for my Dell).  I can't tell what the options in the menu start / Control Panel / mouse will be after the installation of your new driver because I have a menu controlled by separate mouse, but it may be an option to disable the TouchPad while you are typing - if so, check and see if that helps (it can't hurt to try).

If the above does not work, I suggest that you contact Dell Technical Support: http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dellcare/contact_technical_support?c=us&l=en&s=dhs& ~ ck = anavml and see if they can offer suggestions or if they know how to disable the touchpad while typing.

    I hope this helps.

  • Is it possible to group objects, which are placed in the project and then hide them with line a single action-script? THX in advance, Philip

I work in CP 9 and I'm going to try the following: the user must be able to make ALL invisible or visible to highlight boxes by clicking on the corresponding button on the first page layout. Thus, for example, if the user does not want the highlight boxes appear, click on "Hide the boxes" and boxes are hidden for the rest of the project. I managed to get to this point for help... but it is still a lot of work for me to manually enter all the different names of these boxes in the action-script. So my question is: is it possible to group objects, which are placed in the project and then hide them with line a single action-script? THX in advance, Philip

Actually... releasing the CpExtra HTML5 widget, it will be possible.

It has a function called @syntax that allows you to perform an action (for example HIDE) automatically on any object throughout a project of Cp9 simply based on the name of the object.

So for example, if you named all the boxes to highlight you want hidden this way to have the suffix _HideMe and you say CpExtra you want all of them hidden if a user variable is assigned to a certain value, then that is what will happen.

That's the good news.  The bad news is that the widget is still in BETA final tests at the moment, so you may need to wait a bit before you can realize your idea.

You can change the keyboard shortcuts...

Go to Edition > keyboard shortcuts

    Click on define duplicate

Save with a name of your choice

Under orders from drop down choose Code editing
You can change all the keyboard shortcuts here to what you prefer

With my default 2015 install, Ctrl + R doesn't do anything and Ctrl + L tries to link a file to what I chose in Code or design view
