• How to set up the MySQL database to connect from another computer?

  I have a huge problem with that.

  What I want to do is:

  I want to create a system (in LabWindows/CVI) this will (among others) allow users to send simple messages to each other. So I want to create a MySQL database , which will be based on a server. Other computers running the system then is able to remotely connect to this database and read a certain table to see if they have new messages. I want that the client computer to connect through the LAN to the database on the server.

  But how can I do this?

  1. How to create a database that can be connected through the LAN?
  
  
  2. How my connection string should look like not on the client computer?
  
  
  3. What configurations on the client and server computers can I do?

  Any help is appreciated, and if you could suggest how can I do to reach my goal. I'm a very competent programmer, but HATE those network things.

  I have one of my servers HPOV NNMi 9.23 restarted this morning and NNMi is loading is no longer.  I see the following errors in the newspapers said:

  I have checked/etc/hosts and found the following entry:

  The command line, I can ping localhost without problem.  Not sure why NNMi begins not at this point.

  Turns out be the permissions on the file/etc/hosts.

• Oracle 12 c EM guest Express database to connect

  I recently installed Oracle OTN 12 c on linux to study for my exam certification 12 c upgrade.  One of the first subjects in the book of preparation upgrade's EM Express database.  Well, I try to connect to https://< my server >: 5501/EM/and I am invited as follows:

  "A user name and password are requested by . http://192.168.1.201:5501 . «The site says: «XDB "»  I use port 5501 because I was practicing using the dbms_xdb_config package to set the port.  I use my password for the dba account, I created and am a username/password asked continually.

  By examining the alert log file I have the following entries:

  2:qmhProcessRequestData, qmhDigestAuth failed.

  I searched the web on all those words/themes/sentences and have developed in white.  Any ideas on why I'm prompted for a name of user and password and my dba user cannot authenticate?

  Is it possible to know the version of one of them, without connecting to it? Of course, I can try all versions, but I would like to know if it is possible to avoid it.

  You can do this, but not sure that it's better to simply log - here's how it might work...

  ps - ef | grep pmon

  (find the pid of pmon)

  then

  lsof | grep | grep oraus.msb

  This will show you the House running the pmon process go

  You can then pass this House in this command

  / Lsinventory OPatch/opatch-oh | grep "Oracle Database".

  which gives the result

  Oracle Database 11g 11.2.0.2.0

  I guess you could script all that much up?

  Hello Gaby,.

  You may need to 'operating system administrator' privileges to change these files. Run Notepad as 'administrator' file (right click and run as admin option), then open the files in Notepad.

  You can try to change the listener.ora and replace the old name to the new host, or you can simply add your old host for the 'c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts' file name (if the old host name is not used by another computer on your network).

• JDeveloper 10.1.3.4: How to choose a database to connect to

  For the experienced:
  
  I use JDeveloper 10.1.3.4 and have a question about the choice of a database server to connect to.
  
  The application I'm developing used the database on an Oracle database server.
  
  Now the exact database schema (that is, table definitions, constraints table, etc.) has been reproduced on a different server with a different name (the name of the schema on the old machine is ZB and is ZBDB on the new machine).
  
  To try to connect to the database on this new machine, I created a new database connection in the window connections in JDeveloper. I stop and then again JDeveloper. The application is still running, but I don't know how to check in JDeveloper which machine it is connected to.
  
  Then in the Connections window, I deleted the definition of the connection to the old machine and restart JDeveloper. In one of the entity objects context menu, I selected "synchronize with the database... "and you have to choose a connection. I chose the connection with the new machine and attached (I can tell because one of the pages shows less number of lines when it is connected to the old machine).
  
  I then re-created the definition to connect to the old machine to see if I can choose to connect while the two database connections are present. I chose one of the entity objects to synchronize with the database, but this time I don't have to choose a machine and the message said that the selected objects 'don't need no synchronization ". So I stay connected to the new machine. To connect to the old machine, once again, I'll have to delete the definition of the connection to the new machine.
  
  I also tried the "Connect" and "Disconnect" options in the right-click menu on the database connection in the Connections window. But that has no effect on which connection to use.
  
  I think that there should be a way to choose and check the connection to a database. But I don't know how. Can anyone help?

  Click the project icon properties or right-click on your model project of-> project-> business-> here components properties choose connection

• Avoid the AQ on a copied database to connect to the gateway of messages

  We regularly make a copy of our production database to our test and development environments.
  
  Our production database has installed QA. When you copy the production database, the copy will of course also be AQ installed with the same configuration as the production database. When you start the copy, QA on the copy to connect to the gateway for message with the same configuration as the production and therefore start to send messages to the production environment. This is not good!
  
  A possible solution is to close the gateway messages until the database copy process is done, the new copy of the database is started and it's AQ configration modyfied. However this is not a good solution because it affects the production environment (judgment of the entry door).

  Hi Amir - there is currently no way to directly connect to the DB for unifying hosted environments. We are currently working on this issue.

  In the meantime, you can use the SQL Editor in your BI Publisher server interface. You build instructions SQL can then be pasted in via data in unifying views.

  I wonder if DB tools insert data VI is able to accept a table as its input. It's a bit difficult to say because all connect you to the input of this VI is voluntarily accepted by the terminal, data type variant so no glaring broken threads occur when associate you a table.

  What I'm trying to do, it is write a table 2D of doubles in a single cell in a table. The table is large 3 x 1000 elements. I confess to being completely new to databases and such an effort may or may not look ridiculous in the database world. If someone wants to talk about why I'm trying that I'll gladly go through my reasoning - just enough to say that I'm not totally crazy.

  When I try to write the table to a single cell, an error as seen in the attached screenshot. All my other functions database, working with scalar values of many different types of data, all work very well.

  I have attached the problematic code. It tries to write these tables 8 to 8 individual columns, all in the same line. I'm just using the method "automatic" for now.

  Extra tid bit of information:
  OpenSQL database. Connection via ODBC 5.2 64 bit, user DSN.

  LabVIEW 2012 not SP1. Windows 7 64-bit.

  I installed it and configured Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.4 and also apply the planning Patch 20937926 (Hyperion Planning 11.1.2.4.002) successfully.  When I'm creating the Source of data for planning its getting failed with reason "the connection failed" here is the screenshot of the same thing.

  If it is an Oracle database, you connect to so be, you must enable the custom URL and change the url to server connection: port: sid to the server: port / servicename

  Also you can get better Planning_WebApp.log that is located in the directory the plannning managed server logs the log information.

• Cannot connect through the ORA-01017 Invalid Username/Password database link

  I have two virtual machines with Oracle 11 g 2 and one with Oracle 12 c installed on RHEL 6

  I wanted to install a dblink between the 2, but after you have created the dblink I get error: ORA - 01017 Invalid username/password

  Now, I know, the error is clear enough but when I try to connect using netmgr it works

  So just to summarize, Oracle 12 c, I'm trying to connect to Oracle 11 g using a DBLINK but I get ORA-01017

  Since Oracle 12 c, I created a new service so that I have the remote db alias in tnsname.ora and at the end of the process, when they ask for test connection, I can connect successfully to remote db

  Then I created a dblink according to the following:

  SQL > CREATE PUBLIC DBLINK LINK DATABASE to CONNECT to

  "hr""" IDENTIFIED BY ' password ' with the HELP of 'REMOTEDB ';

  If I then select * from employees@dblink, I get the error

  What I've noticed, it is that in the 11g (the target machine) I can not connect with OS authentication, don't know if its related

  If i: sqlplus / as sysdba I get ORA-01031 insufficient become

  I have to connect to the Linux box as user 'oracle', who is a member of the groups oinstall dba

  Am I missing something?

  You will probably have to create the link without containing the user name and the word in double quotes.

• Administration client OBIEE 11 g tool - cannot connect to the database.

  I installed OBIEE 11 g on linux platform and installed 11g admin client tool in windows server.

  My database is installed on another server (not in the installed tool of client machine). I created the ODBC DSN in the windows machine. But when I create the new repository and when I give the credentials for the database to connect I get connection failed.

  I don't have any customer database oracle installed on the windows machine. Is there something to configure on windows server?

  Any help and guidance would be much appreciated.

  I installed the client 11g and one more thing that missed me is the setting of the variable of environment path in windows machine. Whenever I tried to connect to the database through the RPD, it seeks the oracore11.dll file. I mentioned the location of the oracore11.dll file in the path variable, and everything worked fine for me
