Restore scenario and my Question based on the error I encountered

I did the restore until 13 June, end of the day, using script, more

Run {}

}

and restore completed successfully with the prompt message following RMAN

After that, I opened database with the command of "alter database open resetlogs ' (data base has been set based restored time and Redo log also)

restore the database;

recover the database;

It is time real work scenario, I was maybe faced with this situation,

So, is it possible to restore and recover based on backdate / date after once performed before restoring.

If it is possible then please give some idea or web link or a script to do this or tell me if it is not possible.

When you open a database with resetlogs, the sequence of newspapers is reset to 1 and online redo logs are given a new time stamp and the SNA. This is done to avoid confusion when two redo different streams have the same SNA, but occurred at different times.

You can restore an old controlfile, before your last resetlog or reset the database to a previous incarnation:

RMAN > list database incarnation

RMAN > reset database to incarnation

Then use your RMAN, run the command "set up time" and restore and recover the database. This will only work well if you have a full backup of the previous incarnation of the database and all archived redo logs until wherever you need to recover.

  • I don't want the session to be restored after end of task

From time to time when I come across a malicious website which prevents any action of navigation. If the simplest action is to use the end task on firefox.exe task manager. It works well, however, because firefox has been forced to leave he is trying to restore the tabs, I had open. Previous versions of firefox would give you the ability to restore or to stop trying to restore after a few force leaves. now firefox keeps trying to recover the previous tabs.

How can I set firefox to ASK if I want to restore the previous session?

You can set the integer pref browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to 0 on the subject: config page in order to get the about: sessionrestore page immediately with the first start after a collision has occurred or the Task Manager was used for the closing of Firefox.

I'm trying to enable automatic session restore after a crash. I put browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash to true, but it is false. Is there is a dependency on another parameter that is the cause of return? Or other means to enable automatic crash recovery?

The option 'When Firefox starts' is set to ' show my windows and tabs from last time '. I'm not under any session management extensions.

All browser.sessionstore settings have default values except these:
    Browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo: 500
    Browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo: 100
    Browser.sessionstore.restore_hidden_tabs: true
    Browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash: false

    Hi Eric,.

Chances are, something happened during the recovery process that prevents you from downloading something on the internet. One of the most common reasons for this is that the security settings are set too high. See the link below to learn how to change the security settings.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/change-Internet-Explorer-security-settings

Another reason that you might not be able to download whatever it is could be the settings you have enabled in your anti-virus program, if you are running one. If you are, try to disable the program while you download those

  • Basic functions and issues related to the Internet after virus removal

I hope someone can help with my daughter's laptop.  I think this is the right forum.

Back in March she got a rogue virus on his laptop computer. It has been removed successfully, but the programs on his personal user account have still some problems. She tries to open any program by double-clicking its icon, a screen will appear asking you to choose a program from a list to open it with. If instead, she clicks on the icon of the program and chooses to start, it opens fine (but is very painful to have to do so every time). In addition, some basic on this user account functions do not work (it does not receive some pop-up windows to the top when it should, the scroll bar on its mouse pad no longer works, programs configured to start at startup must be started manually, etc.). Finally, after being and deletion of another rogue virus a few weeks ago, the internet on his personal user account stopped working, only display a "Cannot display the Web page" page even if network connections show that it is connected to the internet. NOTE: None of these problems exist on the administrator account or if she is invited to log on as an administrator.

A gifted friend computer has helped to ensure that the computer is free of any virus or malware but was not able to understand how to fix this user account.  It was suggested to delete this account and create a new user, but she doesn't want to have to do that, if possible, since she spent a lot of time customizing.

The laptop is a HP Touchsmart PC with Windows Vista Edition Home Premium (x 64), AMD Turion X 2 Dual - Core Mobile RM-75.

    Thanks in advance!

    Ok.

After creating the profile, you can copy the files from the existing profile. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to perform these operations, including the new account that you created.

  • Bookmarks previous restoration after crash

Following a fall last weekend and after Dell restored & wiped out original data sheet & computer settings, I'm coming back Firefox bookmarks for all 3 users on this desktop computer. Carbonite has finished restoring my data (I think). I tried to make the road to restoring Firefox Bookmarks-import-etc., but all I get is either favorite 2009 or a day AFTER the accident. These two are useless. Where, oh where are recent useful bookmarks? None of the help of 'blog' I can find seems logical, or is simply not relevant.

    Thank you.

Since the bit of reading, that I don't have on Carbonite, your Firefox profile data would be included in the backup with the settings by default in Carbonite - all except the cache of Firefox. You must locate the former profile folders in the backup and then copy specific files from the old profile to the new profile, replace the corresponding files in the new profile.

  • System restore after the recovery running disk

    Hello

Is there a way to restore my system to previous state after you run recovery disk?

I forgot to backup my files and apparently lost my data after the recovery running disc. All suggestions will be appreciated. I'm trying to restore my system, but it is not restoration, its shows me only today's date.

    Best regards

    Hello Jazz

Please slow down. Your ad is quite confusing. You can the prior words includes on two completely different ways.

    (1) previous state as factory settings. If you use recovery media is removed from the entire HARD disk and all data will be lost. There is no way to recover them. To the review no data more.
    (2) previous state by using System Restore tool. It will roll back OS time earlier, but all data will be there. Sorry, but if you have ever used recovery media, it's too late for this option.

  • backup and system restore after upgrade to 8.1

I have an Acer Aspire Swich 10 E computer that came with Windows 8.1. After many hours of downloading, I upgraded to 10 Windows for free. Now, I want to make a backup of the system so that I can restore Windows to its present first State that is necessary or desirable.

When I launch Acer Recovery Management to create a backup, the only options are "Factory Default," which is no doubt 8.1 Windows 'drivers and Applications.

I tried to use Acronis True Image, but he does not see my C: drive, which is probably for the 64 GB SSD. He sees the 500 GB HDD, the Acronis USB key and the reader, that I intend to use for the backup. I understand that the default value of the plant is stored on a hidden partition, likely on the SSD, so I wasn't expecting to see that.

How to restore Windows 10 without first reinstalling 8.1, and then reupgrading?

I also want my backup on my media, not on some clouds or pie in the sky!

Oh, and of course, at a later date, I want to make a backup with my software installed and all the removed bloatware.

an image of the system, this is what you need, system image is a 1:1 copy of your actual state of the HARD drive and can be loaded from a 10 windows installation media.

so, first, I would create a bootable windows 10 media:

    http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209

Follow the instructions on the screen and get a loan from 8 GB USB flash drive.

then have a big USB flash (32 GB) drive or external hard drive, press the logo key windows + x

    Click on Control Panel

Click backup and restore (windows 7)

Connect your USB key or external HARD drive

Click on the left side, create a system image

Follow the instructions on the screen

Now, we want to restore our system to the way it was before the accident.

Can we some how use it to restore our system so that it works in the same way as it did before the crash?

After a reformat of hd, the system restore will restore the previous time, xp

should be in a phase of flood, & all xp updates have been removed. What you are

trying to do is xp reset user (s) & user data. At this point, the manual settings would be

should be used, unless carbonite might be involved.

However, once you get xp back to a user mode, create a backup in case this happens

Once again. To do this in xp, xp installation cd, locate the wizard file transfer, once it starts, configure pc as "old."

the computer', select the / data files you want to save, save to the new folder that you created.

Once his blow thru, folder on a cd.

In addition, reading disc errors are usually a sign that the hd is a failure.

  • How to restore after deleting a partition in unallocated space on my hard drive?

HI, I have recently removed a partition of my hard drive on windows Vista Home Basic. I removed it because I needed to find the hard drive space on the main user profile.

I found, after following the instructions on how to remove the partition that the partition has been deleted, but the space was not available for use on the main user.

I couldn't find any information on how to restore the space unallocated on the C: drive, so if there is someone out there who can help me, I'd appreciate the help! : o).

    Hi geddron1976,

Is "unallocated" space right next to the C: partition, that is to the right of the C: partition? If yes go to control panel and click the Administrative Tools icon. In the Administrative Tools window, click computer management. In the window of computer managgement, click on disk management and you will then see a view of your disks. Click right on your C: drive, and in the menu drop-down, select "Extend Volume".  A wizard will appear. In the 'select amount of space in MB' type the amount sdpace you want to extend the partition. If you want this then let the total in the State. Now, click Next, followed by the finished product. The c: drive should now be extended in your unallocated space.

If the C: partition is 'no' right next to the unallocated space, then you will not be able to extend the partition - not with the windows disk in any case management application. To do this you will need a third party application of partitioning, it is also a little more complex.
