dc5750S/ax2-40/80hnd/2.0R/7k U.S.

Well, my question is simple.

I am looking for some info for this PC, someone gift me this pc but has a bit of RAM. So I need knowledge (1). what is the maximum memory RAM I can put on the motherboard, and what type of RAM I have to buy.

I want to install a graphics card, but still I'm not (2). what kind of Gc, I have to buy.

Hope so, can you give me an idea.

-==Note:==-

I was looking to the internet but if I do a search using the label "WINDSOR PCB REV: 1.0"I find the following info to http://www.manualowl.com/m/Compaq/dc5750/Manual/112318 "

If I use the label "HP Compaq dc5750 compact" appears the following info, but note in the manual edition of tell September 1, 2006.

http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c00794294/c00794294.PDF

So here my confusion in the first manual to say this:

"Media memory on the system card can be filled with up to four standard DIMM in the industry. These bars of memory are filled with at least a preinstalled memory module. To obtain the maximum memory support, you can fill the system card with up to 8 GB of memory configured in a high-performing mode dual channel. "(p. 247 / F1)

Also, in the second to say Manual: cannot support 4 GB of RAM. (PG. 1)

==========================================

And please do not take care, I know that it is at my own risk. xD

I hope the info I give above will help you to help me. Thank you.

PS:

As the pic. See above, the motherboard has PCIe x 16 and x 1 PCIe which slot should I use? or who do you recommend?

Hello:

Yes, this Asus card will work fine. He spent that long black PCI express x 16 slot.

It comes with brackets low profile according to the illustration.  They are very easy to install.  There is a screw on the circuit board and both DVI and VGA ports that maintain the support of larger size and the Commission of the video card. Then just swap on. Should take about every 5 minutes.

If you use the DVI output of your monitor, you can simply unplug the blue card VGA port and you won't need two adjacent PCI drafts.

The PCIe 2.1 version works on your PC. Your PC is fairly new to this.

I put a PCIe 2.1 card (Radeon HD 6570) in a former dc7600 CMT, and it works perfectly

  • CPU upgrade (HP Compaq dc5750)

    System: HP Compaq dc5750

    BIOS: version 786E3 2.22

Hi, I recently bought a CPU AMD Athlon X 2 5000 + for my system. The current one is AMD Athlon X 2 4400 + Not much of an upgrade, I know. But I'm going to build another system so I though I would just have both, use a faster on my primary system.

I checked in the user manual, the processor is indeed compatible with this mobo.

So when I have the 5000 + installed it don't post, no beep and I get no signal on the screen. I went from the old processor in and everything works fine. So my question is, I have to update my bios (v2.22), the cpu is bad or is it something else?

Let me know if you need additional information from me. Thanks, have a good evening.

Certainly the update of the BIOS.

Your version is 2.22 BIOS current BIOS is 2.36 Rev. Version 2.29. 7 sep 2007 added support for other processors.

  • HP dc5750 minitour graphics update

Hello I'd like ask if I can add a low profile card specifically msi 6570 2 GB ddr3 MD2GD3, I know that the 2 GB is not worth anything I couldn't find a 1 GB version.

    My specs are:
    AMD Athlon 64 X 2 Dual Core 4400 + 2.3 GHz
ATI Radeon® XPRESS 1150 (hoping to upgrade)
    3 GB 667 MHz DDR2
    160 GB SATA
    POWER SUPPLY 300W

    Plug the card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127612

    You ' r very welcome.

It shouldn't be necessary to update the BIOS, like your PCI x 16 slot should be a new enough review to support a PCie 2.1 video card.

I tested the HD 6570 in a dc7600 CMT which probably has an older version of PCIe slot that the dc5750 does, and it has worked very well.

The only thing that you may encounter is... if you lose your sound system after installing the video card, go into the BIOS, there is now an on board audio setting under the advanced in the BIOS in the sub-menu of device configuration menu. Currently, there are no Audio setting in BIOS.

It will be set to Disabled. Change it to "Enabled", save the settings at this time, and again when you go out.

When you restart, the integrated audio system will return, and if you plug an HDMI cable to your TV, the HDMI audio on the video card should work.

  • Compact computer DC5750S

Hi guys, a few days ago I came across this compact computer desk DC5750s.  He had a bad Sempron processor that I replaced with an AMD dual-core 4200 + and upped the memory to 2 GB.  The computer is now working OK.   My question is how to access the BIOS.   I press F10 and a menu will appear asking you to language to use.  Another menu will appear with the info on the system.  I can only change the date and time and save the settings by default or factory.   That's all.  It is not a BIOS where you can make changes to the system as we all know.   I downloaded the installation manual, but it did not help.  It says press F10 to access all the settings as schedules, SATA, command parameters start etc.  Am I missing something?  Thank you 1 million.

That's all!   It WAS the 19 "monitor.   I used a 20 "LCD wide screen and an old CRT type monitor and now I see the options on the screen of the BIOS settings.   Lesson learned here.  I don't have as large screen monitors, but looks like they have their place.

  • a vista license, but restore dc5750 offers only xp?

I have a HP dc5750 microtour who has a Vista OS license on that sticker. It was in XP, and I don't remember if she has never run Vista and I went down there. I don't want it to run Vista now... but I was surprised to see that the option of windows xp listed only recovery. I do not have the data or files on the pc, so a full reformat etc is ok.

Since the recovery partition does not contain Vista, can I use a Vista cd I have for another pc and use the license key located in this box of pcs? IOW, I have vista media... I guess it would be ok to use it with the key that is located on this box.

I wonder why it has vista on it but installed xp license and recovery only for xp is offered? I wonder if the same key works with xp and vista? I doubt it.

    Thanks for any input.

    Hello:

If you live in the USA/Canada, command of a set of Vista quick restoration of disks for your dc5750 by calling the number below.

    1-800-334-5144

Have the practice to give the serial no customer services rep.

A set of recovery disks will cost you $10 shipped.

Very probably the version of the Microsoft Vista which is located on the COA sticker is Vista Business, so you need an installation of Windows Vista professional DVD to use the product key on the label.

  • How can I increase the RAM (memory) for my computer to hp dc5750?

I bought one of these pc hp dc5750 form small factor that invade now right-handed ebay.  It came with only 1gig memory 80gig hardrive and processor bicoeur AMD Athlon 64 x 2 2.0GH but I can not know the socket type I think it's an am2?  I'll update my AMD Athlon II X 2 215 2700 MHz proc @ in my hp p6203w, but it is an am3 I think and I was wondering if the motherboard will accept an am3 as my another hp witch will take either.   I had also (lots of memory Samsung - 2GB (2x1GB) PC2 - 5300U - 555 RAM NON - ECC Unbuffered 240-pin) off ebay thinking they were a matched set, but when I got them one had a 1R - 8 x and the other had a part number x 8 - 2R

I was woundering if I ran these two stick and the two 512 original supplied with the pc that are 1R - x 8 a face cards will be it atcually be able to use all 3 concerts cuase I saw a diagram that shows the configuration of two 1gigs and 2 512 in slot 2 and 3.   but he said someithing on all correspondence.  Once I put them all in the computer it says there 3gigs but I don't know if it of using everything or if Im better off just runing the two 1gig sticks or both will have to be 1R - x 8 or 2R - x 8 (it is the motherboard that has all the right to side by side 4 memory slots and not in separated couples and the other model nuber 8305-65U)

Oh yeh Im runing win7 64 bit

Type of socket original title: hp dc5750 and memory?

+ 1 on the suggestion of Nirmal - contact HP support, but--

All very hit and Miss. Miss Aries matching is not a good idea and miss-corresponding to the quantity (2x512MB - 2 x 1 GB) often fails. You can get lucky and the machine will start, but the RAM performance will suffer without worrying.
There only seems to be a lot of people who are able to run the 3 GB of RAM (laptops for most), but it's a strange configuration.
Better to have two sticks of 2 GB and (assuming that Win7 32-bit) only have access to about 3.25 GB of that you still get the benefit of the dual channel performance.
I have an old (built in ' 05) PC with an AMD 939 socket cpu and experimented with two 512 MB and two sticks of 1 GB (I have 2x512MB sticks all the time), the computer does not start in windows with this configuration.

AMD made a number of processors with the Athlon 64 x 2 designation. Several are socket 939, others may be AM2. He must know exactly what processor and the motherboard to know what are the components.
If the RAM is DDR2, there is a chance of the cpu/motherboard are AM2.

The upgrade to a HP or other OEM PC can be a minefield that they often use a design of the 'special' motherboard (if you use the HP chipset drivers this is probably one of their 'special'), and with 1 GB of RAM and only a 80 GB HDD in a matter of form factor small with a cheap food you get what you pay for.
Personally - you better made to buy the parts from someone like new egg (if you are in the USA) and assembled the unit yourself. Basically, you try to make a silk on a scholarship...)

    EDIT: Just found this -.

  • HP Compaq dc5750 Small-FF No. AHCI Option in BIOS

I work for an organization that have a good number (400 +) this PC model in use. We have problems of slow hard disk access. All documentation and the forums I can find online speak AHCI is an option in the CMOS settings and I would like to try this, but all of our dc5750s have no option - they have only Legacy IDE, Native IDE (currently we use) and RAID. The connections to the MoBo are physically SATA.

I am aware that we must provide the operating system with SATA drivers to perform the boot (since using XP), and we did it with success on other models of PC, but this isn't the issue. I'm interested to know why the AHCI option is not available in the BIOS when anyone with this model seems to report here.

I updated the BIOS to the latest v2.35.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello:

I have provided the link for the BIOS dc5750 configuration guide.

There is no option of DCIS. Default value is Native IDE if you're not in the RAID configuration. The setting of DCIS came out in models that have made this series.

    http://bizsupport2.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c00765938/c00765938.PDF

There is a management setting of SATA power that enables or disables the SATA bus or device power management.

I don't know what the default setting should be for that.

My suggestion is to upgrade the BIOS to its default values.

As I have already mentioned, the other CPU you mention is the bad review (G instead of F), bad cache L2 or wrong speed. The two pieces I have spec'ed

    Athlon 64 X 2 Dual - Core 6000 + is part # ADA6000IAA6CZ, ADA6000CZBOX

    Athlon 64 X 2 Dual - Core 5600 + is part # ADA5600IAA6CZ, ADA5600CZBOX

are parts that should work properly in your system.
