DEfender disabled

Recently installed Esentials security in lieu of One Care. Some websites froze, I trid to put in market the Defender. Windows says Defender out, but he wouldn't let me turn it on. Trid to re - charge, but said that I can't because it comes with Vista. Tried to turn on in the services, but wouldn't. WARNING said "some services stop automatically if they are not currently in use by other services or programs". Defender has been superseded? Security scans are OK.

You should uninstall Live One Care before installing MSE.

2 aVs cause system hangs, freeze, etc..

MSE disables default Defender.

MSE has its own integrated version of Defender.

See you soon.

  • The reactivation of Windows Defender in Windows 8

    Hi all

This is my first time here, so please bear with me.

I bot a desktop HP Pavilion yesterday and everything was going well until I tried to turn on WINDOWS DEFENDER. The message is "Windows Defender disabled by seller". I don't want to use any other anti-virus, anti-blah... blah package since I was an all-things-Microsoft kind of guy. Anyway, how can I go abt turning Windows Defender powered? I really, really appreciate anyone who can help me on this one.

Yes, you need to uninstall "Norton Internet Security", following the steps you provided. I said "disable and uninstall", this is because many AV programs won't let you unistall them while they are active.

To reactivate Windows Defender, go to the new Windows 8 desktop and type 'Action', click on 'Settings', and click on "Action Center"... check the status of Windows Defender and click the button "turn on Now". Update definitions for Windows Defender... and then do a full scan.

  • Cannot access 'change of startup with the Defender programs stops but prove Essentials won't advocate not run

Microsoft Security Essentials disables the Defender, but with Defender disabled I can't access certain items in such as 'Change startup programs' control panel - I get the message that the Defender is not enabled - if I try to activate Defendeer access, the freezing of the entire machine.  Defender does not appear in the list of programs - so it cannot be deleted.  (Well not really), I am surprised that Microsoft may not yet know of ocnflicts with its own software.  What is the reference for this?

Because of the interaction between the defender and Essentials I need to completely uninstall Essesntials for program startup - enable - disable options via the control panel.  When you click the option to enable - disable the startup program that a box comes up saying Defender is turned off, and if you click on to activate it, the machine frezzes.  This is exactly the problem I want to fix it.  Your p - submit not only serve to illustrate the problem.  I have no idea why Defender is connected to the options of startup programs, but it is apparently and screw Essentials correct operation of this function.

  • Windows Defender does not turn and I can't access it. I get the error Code is 0x800106ba. What does this error code mean?

I can't turn on Windows Defender, nor can I open it upwards. The error code that is displayed is 0x8800106ba. What does this code mean?

    Hi, tonytiger34.

The usual solution to this error is to make sure that the service is automatic. Oferror message when you run Windows Defender: 'Error 0x800106ba Code' :

"To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

    1. Set the Windows Defender service on Automatic rather than Manual or disabled . To do this, follow these steps:

      1. Click Start

The collapse of this image enlarge this image

type services in the Start Search box, and then clickServices in the programs list.

The collapse of this image enlarge this image

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or clickcontinue .

      2. Double-click the Windows Defender service and then in the Startup type box, clickAutomatic .
      3. Click OK . »

If the automatic commissioning does not resolve the problem, try reinstalling Windows Defender.  Note, however, if you have installed Microsoft Security Essentials, Windows Defender disabled installation because MSE includes anti-spyware protection.

Why slope I turn on windows Defender manually? Is it because I'm trying to ruin the basics of Microsoft Security? Any HELP would be appreciated

MSE disables Windows Defender because it contains everything in Windows Defender and run them both at the same time can cause conflicts, freezes, crashes, or other problems.  Leave Windows Defender disabled when you use MSE.

Whether Windows Defender is blocked from running by them. McAfee, AVG and many others to do this.

  • Getting Windows Defender to work with installed FireAMP

When I install FireAMP on my windows 8 PC, windows Defender is disabled (as when you install an anti-virus software).  I tried to exclude it from the analysis of FireAMP, but I feel that this is not the problem and that it is a problem of Windows Defender and how she reacts when certain other types of software is installed.

Does anyone know how to get Windows Defender and FireAMP to work in parallel with eachother?

    Thanks in advance.

    https://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/0dcc5c18-9bdd-4A9B-B7b...

    Editing a group policy:

Configuration of the computer--> administrative templates-->--> Windows Defender Windows components

    Disable Windows Defender = disabled
Allow the antimalware service to continue to always run = Enabled

With all of these policies, Defender will continue to run even after FireAMP is installed.

  • Phoenix 810 ENVY: ENVY Phoenix 810 with AMD Radeon R9 270 problem

    System:

    HP ENVY Phoenix PC 810

    Model 810-250se

    10 64-bit Windows

    Video:

    AMD Radeon R9 270

My PC had a screen black/reboot during the ten days about problem. My son, who plays games on it, believes that the video card above is at the origin of the problem. There was a recent series of Windows included 10 updates a driver for this hardware, but after several attempts (including RESETS of Windows with a picture CD 10) installation via the update or directly from March 28 AMD download, the furthest I get is a black screen after trying to install the driver software. I did it with Windows Defender disabled. I tried Mode safe mode with and without networking, but the Crimson AMD software will not run here. I used the utility from dismantling of AMD as well.

The problem earlier, before I start all the diagnostics, was a reboot loop.

Having said all that, at a time given, I ran the HP BIOS utility that scans everything for chess... guess what, video memory FAILED:

    ID 0LM8HS-00082V-QFFV7F-Q2WM03 failure

Is this an indication that the card is toast, or that the pilot and the chipset is just missing/messed up?

Another symptom is a weird game of vertical strips on some graphic characteristics.

So I guess my question is, where I go from here to get the PC up?

    Thank you

    Phil

  • Internittent print, job hangs in the symptoms of Q, Officejet Pro 8500 A910, on 2 pc's Win.

Hiya. Win 7 on 2 machines (all updates applied), WiFi, Avast running, Defender disabled, to update the latest firmware and drivers (both PC), HP print and scan sometimes Dr. said everything is good. But if there is a hung job in Q it is said "issues addressed" with no details and yet nothing changes (work still in Q). If I unplug the printer and turn off the PC and then launch printer, then start PC it prints a few jobs then stops them from the Q to the printer. Jobs will be based in the Q indefinitely.

When a work is hung in Q the printer displays the Red 'X'. By pressing the 'X' and turning off the job at the printer do not help, the next task remains in Q.

All the thoughts I have send the printer to fish?

    Thank you, Dana

    Heya 8lives,

    BATCH FILES!

I bow down you good gentlemen/ladies. And here I thought that the batch files were dead... ahhh... my tongue (said of my age and BONE).

Anyway... with minor mods (path), the clearing of the Q did the trick I could open and watch as the two jumped in, and then the q files.

I'll always keep an eye out for anything that may have caused the Q to keep the files in the 1st place, but the command quickie file is worth its weight in gold.

  • Discovery Network Vista problems

I have a PC running Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit version. The specs are 400 GB hard drive, Intel 2160 1 .8GHz duo core CPU, 2 GB memory DDR2 Ram. I use Kaspersky Internet Security 2009. I've been running this program for a month without any problem. I have the firewall in Windows Defender disabled and I use Kaspersky as 2 firewalls running at the same time, of course, could cause problems. My problem just started yesterday is the following. I have a Playstation 3 in another room that I share my media from my PC with. I did this for about a year with no problems. Now, I can do more is this. I checked my settings of network discovery and it is on 'custom' and I believe that he used to be in the position "on". But now when I try to turn it on by clicking on the button and clicking on apply will welcome back to custom. I can turn off, but not on. He's stuck on the custom. And I think that it is that I won't be able to share my media with my Playstation 3 into the other room. I know it says that if I changed my firewall settings it could cause this problem.  He said that my firewall settings must match the settings of Protocol I think? I tried the system restore, and it says my system restore is not completed successfully because of an "unspecified error" I tried restoring the system 4 times and I have been unsuccessful. About 2 months ago, I ran without any problems system restore. I can always go online and do everything else on my computer with no problems. It's just a problem of media sharing. I think the fact that he is stuck on "custom" is perhaps the problem because it makes my computer impossible. I used to see my Playstation 3 on the network when I hit view other devices on this network. Also my Playstation 3 always goes online and working properly, while sharing the same router as my PC wireless. I tried to turn off the two firewalls. Try each one separately. To have both. Temporarily, I even uninstalled Kaspersky Internet Security for my computer. I even temporarily shut down Kaspersky and Windows Defender turned off completely. Nothing has worked. My network discovery is still set to custom. I've also restored the firewalls on both of these programs to their default settings. Nothing has worked. I have download a different media player a few days ago, called TVersity. I thought this might have something to do with the problem, so I deleted completely. But I think he can still have messed up something in my computer. Sorry to be so long-winded but can someone help me? Does anyone else have this problem? I tried to solve this problem for 7 1/2 hours in a row and I'm frustrated exetremely and all ideas. I'm afraid that I can get more dirty things. Thank you all in advance for your help.

    Hi stangrun,

DNScache, Function Discovery Resource Publication (fdrespub), Discovery (upnphost) UPNP device host and SSDP (ssdpsrv) are Windows services.  To access, please click Start, type Services in the search box.  Right-click on the service and choose Run as administrator.  When the service window come up you will be able to locate and see whether or not those services have already begun.  Alternatively, you can right-click and choose start their execution.

    Hola Carlos!

It seems that you have some problems. We may be able to get you run back soon.

I think our best option is to do a system restore to a point in time before you start to get in trouble. I hope that you have a few options here.

Click on START and type > system restore
Click on next to the first screen. You should see a list of the dates of "restore". Choose one before you start to get into trouble and click Next. Follow the prompts to complete.

As you acknowledged, you need more memory/RAM. 512 MB is not enough for Vista Ultimate to work well. You need at least 1024 MB... more if possible. You might consider getting RAM before anything else because it will considerably speed up your computer.

Please let us know what happens.
