Definition of proportions when cropping to A3

Hey people being new to Lightroom 5.6 I'm probably doing something stupid, and I'm sure that there is an easy solution. I don't know what it is...

I have 23 RAW images in my LR catalog I want to crop, but I also know that I will save them as JPG A3 at 300 ppi.  So the first thing I did was go into the print module and select my printer Canon Pixma Pro so that I can then select a3 paper size.  In the print module, each image, then displays A3 on the left side of the main preview area.  Good work, the ILO is successful.

So now, I need to crop the images.  I had already tried their culture for A4 and so had typed 8.27x11.69 in the report parameter l / h custom (yes I know we are talking with po... (LOL).  Well, I then reset all the images so that their Ratio of appearance is set to "As Shot" and when I select done, the culture box bit in previews along the bottom of the screen disappears...  Still with me?  Oh I hope

So now that the images are back to their original size as if they were directly to the output of the camera, I selected all 23 pictures and you press 'R' to access the function of the harvest.  Under the proportions, I selected "Enter custom" and tried to get two 297 x 420 (mm) and also 11.7x16.5 (po).  Entering each of these reports, whenever I select < OK >, the Ratio always comes back to 8.27x11.69, as in A4, which was a CRI in the first place!

Any help on how I can configure the Ratio correctly for A3 so that I can actually start to do the cropping would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much...

Lewis

Lewis, the ratio is correct for all sizes of one. A4 is half of the A3, which represents half of the A2, etc... It is not a measure, and does not work for all sizes.

  • CC of Photoshop and I want to use the tool "straighten" when cropping, but it isn't here.

I have Photoshop CC, and I want to use the tool "straighten" when cropping. For some reason any option "right", as well as the other options are not available. How can I activate those back?

    Hello

You can try to reset preferences: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

Also I want to say that reset preferences will make you lose your custom brushes and the presets.

  • How to make an adjustment when cropping

I have cultivated an image.  I want to take maybe 1 or 2 pixels on the left side.  When I drag the cropping

Thank you. I'm on a PC, but it worked.

This shortcut is one of the few where you really press the control key on Mac and PC.

If you want to cut 2 pixels on the left side, by entering the numbers, there is a way to do it.

    1. Choose image > canvas size.
    2. Select Relative. This means that the Width and Height numbers you enter are the differences that you want, not the full dimensions.
    3. For width, enter-2.
    4. Click the proxy of anchor to anchor the size on the edge right before the change-2 will come off of the left side.
    5. Click OK.

  • Image quality changes when cropping.  No idea why?

An image of 8 megabytes becomes 1.3 megabyte when I was crop the image.  Image is 50% of the screen down to postage-stamp size.  It did not in the past.  Have used this product for over a year.

Have you checked the Options bar? If the W x H Res x value and you have values in these fields, then who will apply these values using the default resizing Image Interpolation of Preferences > General. (As JJ said back up the thread)  Use the arrow to the left on the right side of the Options bar to clear the fields.

  • Problems with black when cropping

I have some weird problems with LR6, I bought a couple of months.  I took pictures of the Moon in a black sky.  When I try to crop the image to get a larger 'Moon', the black sky turns into brilliant blue pixel.  The only way to get rid of them is to adjust the exposure all that change the way upward, which in turn ruins the pic of the Moon, of course, having an exhibition also, when I try to adjust the blacks, I get blue pixels.  I have a friend who has the monthly fee of 9.99 and don't have this problem at all.  Everyone knows this and what is the solution?

You have the lit black clipping indicator.  To disable it, click on the small arrow in the top left of the histogram Panel.

  • blue rectangle covers image when cropping

When you use the crop feature in LR 6, sometimes I get a blue rectangle covering the picture.

Why is it happening and how to fix it?

    Hi Jeff,

This problem is related to the display adapter drivers

You can try to disable the option of CPU graph use in Preferences > performance.

Then restart Lightroom, and look for the question.

I was able to successfully model seamless (Appendix 1), but when I try to crop to create a tile which can repeat itself so transparent (01:58), he removes the point on the top of all i (see annex 2).

How can I fix this? Thank you!

  • Problem when cropping of the tracks

Whenever I try to crop a track to use only a part of it, I get something like this image.

    Immagine.jpg

As you can see, at the beginning of the track and at the end, I get these 'click areas,' as I called them. In fact, especially when the volume of the audio element is low as in this case, it results in a sound audible ' click' that really annoy me.

I get the result even if I cut an audio clip in Premiere Pro. On each cut me I hear this click.

    What I am doing wrong?

If you hear click, it isn't an anomaly of the FFT of all, but the fact that you cut through the waveform in a zero point. The solution is simple gloriously; Right-click on the timeline, select waspish and then put a checkmark in snap to zero crossings. When you select a mount point, this will move your cursor to the nearest point where the wave passes through zero (usually a distance very small, almost imperceptible), and this should stop the clicks and probably also stop the FFT display too. The reason for the click you just ask your audio device to move its production of a positive or negative value to zero - instantly - and he can't do that - it's rather disregard the laws of physics!

  • Why the file size increases when cropping in Photoshop CC?

While cropping a picture significantly increases the size of the file.

7360 X 4912 px image (Image size: 103, 4 M) after cropping at 60 X 40 cm 300 px, dates back to a 18000 X 12000 px image (Image size: 618,0 M). And the computer is unable to cope with such a file...

It wasn't like that when I started to use the program.

I crop the image even with CS5 and the result is a picture of px 7087 X 4724 (Image size: 95.8 M) which is normal...

    Enjoy will help you...

I found my problem and solved. When units of culture resolution was incorrectly set to 'px/cm '... When changed to ' px/in' problem solved. Thank you very much aid...

  • Photoshop CS6 creates new layers when cropping

When I crop my picture CS6 today creates a layer.  If I check the history, there is no sign that a layer has been created, just cropped, however if I check under layer, "Flatten Image" is highlighted.  How do I get rid of this, just started today.

    Rufous03,

Layer 0 is the only layer that displays in the layers panel after crop you the image or is there still a 'Background' layer below layer 0.

Photoshop CS6, the crop tool has been refined. There is an option that allows you to 'not' to remove the trimming pixels when you crop - which means that your image data is not lost - you can return to the original version at any time. With this feature enabled (disabled by default, it is - look in the menu bar at the top - "Delete the cropped Pixels" will be), your "Background" of the image layer is all simply "unlocked" so leads to "Rename" the layer as the layer "0".

If you enable the option 'Delete cropped pixels', it will simply get rid of pixel data which you are flush and your layer will remain as 'Background '.

    Trust that this assistance.

  • How to keep the image of when cropping?

I use LR for a while, but all of a sudden when I crop a photo, the image slides to the left or to the right and out of sight.

In the past when I move the framework of cultures the photo would not pass, so I can see exactly how the photo I culture.

I tried to do research about a framework, but all I get are answers about locking the ratio of culture and not what I need.

I need to keep the whole picture in view when I drag the window of the harvest.

    Thank you!

im not sure what you mean... but you always move the image with LR and part of the harvest is still in the middle of the screen.

with photoshop before CS6 you moved part of the harvest, but with the default CS6 works like LR.

    Maybe you mixed things up?
