Delay in an executable LabView 10 starting with the present mapped drives in Windows 7.

I am running windows 7 on a network peer-to-peer without internet access with an executable version of LabView 10.  Executables mapped access folders on the network and works very well once it is up and running.  The problem is the time required to run the executable when the mapped drives are present.  It takes about 65 seconds to start and now, windows displays the message "not responding".  But it always starts.  If the mapped drives are disconnected, the executable file starts in 5 seconds.  The same executable running under windows with the same mapped drives THAT XP doesn't have this problem.  Any ideas?

Hello Rgenaway,

Probably, it is simply a matter of Windows than a problem of LabVIEW. The difference between the time it takes to start when the drives are present and absent could be due to both the application and the readers need to connect and start communicating.

    Hello world.

I am currently trying to install a new HARD drive in my notebook of 1800-712.
I'm having a few trubbles as my Satellite won't start with my new HARD drive.

I upgraded my BIOS to the latest version.
The new HARD drive is a 40 GB Samsung.

Any suggestions on what I need to do to make it all works?

    THX, Philippe

    Hello

This device was shipped with 20 GB HARD drive.
    You again is 40 GB.
I guess that the BIOS does not recognize the HARD drive because of the size.

    I am currently using SMU 8108 with SMU-1062 q.

The previous record was borken, so I had to install a new hard drive.

The new hard drive is fommatted as NTFS format, and it is currently mounted on 8108.

Unfortunately, I don't have recovery disk available to the general public so I am trying to install Windows 7 on a blank hard drive.

When you start, the LED OK PWK light is all the time, orange DRIVE LED turns on for a few seconds only when I turn on the switch.

LabVIEW RT switches are all off, I cleared CMOS several times to the Board of Directors, but the screen does not show anything.

I tried to use my DVI monitor with any other device as well, and it worked, so there is no problem with the monitor.

In addition, I tried to go in window safe mode by pressing F8 or Del it didn't work, so I can't see anything on the screen when his kick upward.

I tried to put a lot of information I can it will be very appreciated if you can help me with this problem please.

You said that you can't in Windows safe mode, you have installed Windows on the hard drive?  Are you able to get into the BIOS of the controller?

If you are not able to access the BIOS for the controller, it may be due to bad RAM.  If you are uncomfortable installing RAM and you have a few extra laptop RAM of the same type (I think it's the DDR3 for your controller) laying around, you can try to replace the RAM.

Was your hard drive damaged through certain events, or it just stop working?

    Thanks a lot steve!

In general you can swap the HARD drive or update it with more a (ability), but the installation of recovery should work. It is important to use compatible HARD drive for certain system.
I did several times in the past. No problem at all.

After HDD change the value of the BIOS default settings and start recovery installation using created the recovery disc.

Start your laptop and when you see Toshiba welcome screen pres F12 repeatedly to enter the boot menu.
When the menu is displayed on the screen, put the recovery DVD in the optical disc drive.
In the menu choose you CD/DVD and press ENTER.
    Installation of recovery should start.

Please do so and send feedback.

  • Reduced with the universal print driver in Windows 7 manual duplex function

On March 13, 2013, I downloaded the last PCL 6 Universal Printer driver for my Laserjet CP1518NI printer.   Manual duplex printing is now a mess!  In Windows XP, duplexing manual was available for Microsoft documents, but for them, it worked: if I chose to print on both sides, a pop-up window seem to remember to press 'OK' on the printer when it was time to print the second side. I could close this window without affecting the driver himself things correctly configured: he printed the pages first, in reverse order, collected if necessary and rotation so that when this side is complete, all I had to do was take pages on the output tray in put them directly in the input tray and then press OK on the printer, and the other next printed pages, in good order and the correct orientation.

Here's the worst: when you print a double-sided Word file, I now get a BOX of DIALOGUE MICROSOFT WORD asks me to press "OK" in the dialog box, not on the printer, when you are ready to start printing the second side.  With an open dialog, I can't work with other Word files to the end of the first side printing.

Is then the settings: apparently, I need to change the settings manually (not what I planned "Manual" Duplex would!) to learn how to print the first side (even pages) in reverse, reverse order / rotation, then the second side (odd pages) in normal order do not hit?  Do I have to change the settings before printing the second side?

If I don't make all the settings myself, it just prints odd pages in the wrong direction and DISORDER.  If I do all the settings myself, which is exactly the pilot done for me, other than preventing me from working on other documents, the document while current is printing?

I'm especially disappointed because the old driver worked very well.  I just updated the driver because of what turned out to be another problem.  Sigh.

In reading the manual. on page 35, it describes how to enable the feature if you have not already:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01070718.PDF

According to the available information this process should not be performed by the driver. However, as I said above, almost all the settings you described I not know can be defined in MS Word. Back to history versions of the drivers, I see the same types of drivers that have been developed for Windows XP and the information I have shows that this function must not have changed.

In addition, similarly, you should be able to allow printing of greys through the preferences of printer or the printer properties Advanced.

I would like to know if this helps!

  • Incompatible with the controller hard drive for Windows 10 update

After 4 TEC, I was able to update Windows 10.  Now the report of compatibility for my computer says that my hard disk controller is not compatible with Windows 10.  I have Windows 7 and its been running pretty well with some minor problems.  When I go to search for drivers or windows updates, it seems to continue indefinitely and do nothing.  Not sure if that has anything to do with the controller, but I thought I would include this information.

The latest technology suggested that I go to my local IT guy... funny, considering it's my computer at home.  What are my options?  Or someone has an idea how I could get the controller fixed my own?  Or should I consider 10 Windows a lost cause and wait until I get a new computer?  Thank you!

Hello!  Thanks for the reply.  I've updated driver for the controller, and the next day was 10 Windows in my Windows Update.  I opened it to the top, and it worked!   Now have 10 Windows happily running on my computer.  Thanks for the information!

  • "\?? \C:\Windows\Explorer.exe"cannot start or run due to incompatibility with the 64 bit version of windows

A friend gave me your laptop to watch - there edition family vista (64 bit (I think) on it and when you try to run Explorer he says it does not find or access is denied and something about 16 bit / 64 bit (it has been a few days and I'm not memory clearly until what I try again tonight)

"\?? \C:\Windows\Explorer.exe"cannot start or run due to incompatibility with the 64 bit version of windows"

If you try to run a dll / Panel or anything like that, you will get an error message saying that it cannot run some 16-bit process or access denied.

I did a lot of research on Google and nothing someone he said worked - which "everyone" giving full access to the C:\WINDOWS\Registration, executes a command secedit, a sfc/scannow, do a system restore to the point of older, make a new user account, start up in safe mode...

So now I'm pretty stuck. I'm SURE I've seen this problem before with reference to 16-bit etc error messages, but in home edition I do not have the MMC users & groups (had to make new user with password renew then that starts in another environment) or the Security tab of the properties of file/folder for permissions NTFS etc (had to use icacls).

Can someone enlighten us justice on that shiney? : o I don't want to have to redo the entire Setup, I'm sure it is something fixable...

Before charging, tell him from a prompt CMD (Administrator).
Go in the the C:/windows/system32 folder and type "Rename verclsid.exe verclsid.old.
    reset

I guess that I didn't that I had seen the name "verclsid.exe" in some of these error messages trying to run things.  I looked and saw it was to check the files or something.
Anyway I couldn't rename even in admin console so I started in a different environment and renamed the copy in system32 and syswow64.
Now, I've started and bang things seem to be ok! I guess I should try and replace it with a known working version? That or just give back it.

  • SOLVED: Why don't Satellite 4090XCDT does not start with DVD-R/W drive?

    Hello
as I said in the other thread that has already been closed, I bought a used Satellite phone who would not start of 3rd party DVD - RW (Quanta Storage SDW-042) included, even if Windows couldn't read well enough.

I found out why, starting with the help of the user answers in the other thread.

In the user manual, there is a description in the capitel on the configuration of the system about tconfig, which proved to be a valuable indication: HDD = Primary IDE (1F0H/IRQ14) (...), CD = secondary IDE (170 H/IRQ15). Compared to my desktop, it seems to me that two readers need to be masters on no. 1 and no. 2 cable, not as master and slave on the same cable from HARD drive. So, my CD-ROM would probably be master.
Then I did the research further into the issue and found out, that there is no CD-ROM where select things cable if they are master or slave. Then I found in
http://www.dschen.de/laptop_brenner/ a note in his Toshiba Satellite Pro 4290, seemed to be no Cable Select and his planned book on the CD (or DVD player, he wants to use) as a master.
CSEL means that 47 Pin is connected to the Earth, which he did by applying a drop of Tin from Pin 47 to 49, pine, which is also Pin 47. I tried the same thing and disassembled the DVD drive that was in my notebook. (My record to disassemble my laptop and all editing again properly is now gone in 50 minutes). And know what, my Satellite 4090XCDT can now boot from the DVD-RW!

To perform the task, I needed a screwdriver of the watchmaker to open the DVD RW (three live, then you need to insert a PIN to open the tray and see the back), a 12 Volt type iron pin solder for SMD and I ordered the strap of welding with a stereo microscope, so this task is not negligible. See the link mentioned to know what pins are bridged (sorry, the website is in German but the picture is clear: in the top row of pines, only you can see, the 2nd and the third from the right). And of course with a replacement part "scrap", you could give your laptop a second life, but you run a risk, because you may not know what you have, master or slave (for firmware or hardware), broken in any case, select cable - and one other Web site indicates that they looked up to 17 variants of firmware in exactly the same drive , depending on what laptop, it was intended for use.

Nice display. Thank you very much.

  • the music starts with the 1st song in the song list when you plug a headset or cable to the

My iPod touch 6th generation always starts with the 1st song in the song list whenever I plug a headset or cable to the.  How can I stop this?

I think that when you plug the headphones into your iPod, it begins to automatically play the first song because your music application is still open. You can stop it by opening the music app and pausing again. Or just press pause on the screen of reading here and close the application.

  • How to make so that it starts with the disabled bluetooth?

I would like to use bluetooth as soon as possible in case of need, but it should be off by default for security reasons.
    Is this possible?

To activate/deactivate the BT module, you need 4 seconds together WLAN turn position and FN + F8 allows to toggle the BT module.
As far as I know the BT software is by default configured to start with the operating system. In the taskbar you will see BT icon, but it will be red (off) when you turn on the BT module color will turn blue and BT is ready for use.

What you can do is to leave the WLAN switch on and when you need BT simply press FN + F8 to toggle the BT module.

    Hi Li-ngme,

    (1) have you installed drivers for the joystick correctly?

It seems that the gamepad drivers is not updated for windows 7. Let us know if the gamepad work on other games under Windows 7.

Try to access the link below and install the drivers for gamepad for windows 7 and even install as an administrator.

If this does not work, try to contact Logitech and check if they have updates on this for windows 7.

  • computer a824n of office doesn't start with an external hard drive 2T connected.

My HP Pavilion a824n desktop computer won't start with my new external hard drive 2T connected via a USB port.  The computer stops on the first screen, which I think is the Intel screen, with options for press ESC, F1, F10.  But these keys do nothing.  The only way out is to press the power button until the computer turns off.

If I disconnect the external drive before turning the power on, the computer starts normally, the internal hard drive.  After that, I can connect from the outside and it works correctly, so I don't think that there is a defect in it.

I can get into the screen of the BIOS settings to start with the external drive disconnected and by pressing the F8 key.  But the BIOS shows adequate priority, with the hard drive screen internal first, second DVD, third CD.  The internal hard drive is correctly identified by the model number and the new external drive is not at all (because I started without the connected external.)

My guess is that when I start with connected externally, BIOS thinks it's the hard drive, it is supposed to boot from.  How can I get the machine to boot from the internal drive?

Your guess is correct. The hard part is that I'm not sure of an exact solution I've seen this be something difficult to solve.

Have you tried to update the firmware of an external drive?

Have you updated your PC BIOS? If you are still running XP, I think that it is the update to the BIOS of your PC:

  • 'Circular session context Logger Kernal' was able to start with the following error: 0xC0000035

I hope it helps someone as it has been a persistent problem for some time at least six months. I did the research almost as long and also a solution for this, but I'm done here as a last resort. My question to had is that I believe that this occurs at the start of most of the time with the system, but can occur later also is originally the system will block also up and we have four other systems here that this was never a problem at all. I'm still looking and I hope to find an answer somewhere with out having to do a complete clean reinstall 7. I looked here for answers and met several all through the web, including here none have solved the problem.  I would be grateful at least someone leading me in the right direction on this issue if you can.

Hope this is the right place to post also. If this isn't the case, please advise.

For what it's worth, I have this error periodically on several Windows 7 systems.

She seem to be a non-event and does cause some system problems.

I don't think that your freezing problem is caused by the present.

However, take a look at this thread.

    Hello A123.

Thanks for the return of the response.  Regarding your last question, some were told that they have ignored this error without any problem, but I would like to see if we can fix that.  If you start in a clean boot state, you can reproduce this error?  I want to see if a program is causing this to happen.
