Dell Latitude Tablet: Error Code: 0xc0000034 in Windows 8 - data file for Boot Configuration missing required information

Hello

I compressed latitude 10 Dell with Windows 8 and the Intel Atom processor.

After hibernation, when I tried to start the Tablet, I received this error message only after no previous problems for the last 15 months.

It is said to use the Windows installation disc or a USB stick, which are not provided with the tablet. I don't even have the windows product key, because, as directed by Dell, the key is injected into the Tablet, and if necessary to check, it's done automatically.

The system had all the recent updates and was fully charged when this happened.

Please advice any option to solve this problem. Help, please.

Ross

Hey Ross,

This error may be fixed by the repair or reconstruction of the Data of Configuration startup (BCD) store. However, this can be done with the help of installation of Windows 8 media.

Here we have an OEM of Windows 8 pre-installed on your Dell Latitude 10 Tablet version. So, we have not the installation of Windows 8 media or product key. The best approach to work on this issue is therefore, contact Dell Technical Support for assistance.

You can get in touch with Technical Support from Dell from the link below:

  • Windows 8.1 error code 0xc0000034

    Hi all

today I turned on my Razer Blade anda blue screen came up with the following on the screen:

    Recovery
Your PC needs to be repaired
The Configuration of Boot data file missing some required information.
    File: \BCD
    Error code: 0xc0000034

You will need to use the tools of recovery on your installation media. If you have any installation
Media (such as a disc or usb device), contact your system administrator or the computer manufacturer.

Press ESC RPF UEFI Fireware settings

I tried to follow the steps explained here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-system/error-code-0xc0000034-no-recovery-disk-hard-drive/32fad3a7-c498-4597-ace8-20074fcb0cf2, but an error "this product key can be used to install the final version of Windows 8.1" (I translate from Italian, so maybe the sentence in English is not this one, but it's sense). Obviously, Windows 8.1 is original, since I bought the Razer Blade in January 2014.

What can I do? Can you help me?

    Thank you

    Chiara

    Hi Chiara,

The file showing how to start Windows is missing. To fix it, you need your support to Windows Setup. Do you have the DVD or USB, you used to install Windows 8.1? If so, answer comes back with Yes. If this isn't the case, you can use another computer on Windows 8.1 if you have one for the media to recover your PC. To do (and it only works if you have another Windows 8 PC) follow the instructions of this link.

    Hi Mary,

    1. when the last time you were able to copy files to the memory stick without any problem?

    2. you have any security program installed on the computer?

    3. are you aware of any recent software or hardware on the computer changes?

You can download and install the package of the article and check if it helps. If the problem persists, you can start the computer in a clean boot State, and then try to copy the files. Clean boot helps eliminate any conflict of third party software.
