Dell U2415 black points

Hello

I have Dell U2415 and I noticed two black dots. Pixels themselves are not dead, but it seems that the edges between the pixels are damaged.

It seems that two defects of dark pixels. You need 6 or more to justify an Exchange from Dell. If purchased directly from Dell and within 30 days of the invoice date, you can return the monitor to return.

Here is the U2415 User Guide. Page 6 shows that we delivered a mini-cable DP to DP (DP = DisplayPort), not an HDMI cable. Pages 10 and 11 show us that the U2415 has the following video ports =.
    HDMI in
    HDMI in
    DP in
    CDM in
    Out DP

The Inspiron 580 mid back has two video ports =.
    HDMI output
    VGA output

You must buy an HDMI cable to HDMI locally.

  • Dell u2415, turn off even for 1 second, when I turn on imagine is blurred

    Good afternoon.

I just bought a Dell u2415 and connected it to my gtx Nvidia gets through this miniDP 770. Now what is happening: the monitor is doing well. If my computer is turned on, IF I turn off my monitor and back, imagine it is impossible to see, see a lot of horizontal lines and and impossible to do anything whatsoever and 2-3 sec later the monitor tries to enter mode 'sleep', that it has become active again and so on. Even if the monitor is in standby.

The only solution is to keep it on all the time.

    No idea what to do?

    Thank you

Have you tested the U2415 on another computer to see if the issue follows the U2415? This video card has a DP (DisplayPort) size.

Instead of going DP video--> DP Dell card cable--> U2415 CDM CDM.

buy a DP cable to the RFP and test:
video DP card on-->--> U2415 DP DP DP cable in

  • Definition of white/black Points using the tone curve

I am trying to install white/black points using the tone curve, but when I try to drag one of the end points of the line in the tone curve tool, I can't move. Could those be locked somehow...?Screenshot 2015-01-09 19.26.12.png

It is what it is supposed to do. Without the sliders, you work with the curve itself. Now, you have direct control of the curve and can drag any part of it. Have you thought in your white and black points using the whites and blacks in the base Panel while holding down the opt/alt key? I guess the reason why what he says point curve is because this icon is what allows you to curve to the point.

  • Unusable M110 of Dell and black color...

    Hello

So I bought recently two M110 of dell projectors.  They are sharp, bright and look great.

However, they are two TOTALLY INUTILISABLES because they are unable to project correctly when the majority of the screen is black.  I took a video that illustrates the problem: http://youtu.be/G5LFMyRtOPk

The colors are distorted and Flash very quickly between R, G, and B offset.  Only the color white appears stable.  More black on the screen, more pronounced the flashing and cycling is.
Here is a demonstration that is supposed to be Thursday this week, but I fly tomorrow.  I hope it's just a quick software error and I just have to find a solution for it on your website...  Help!
    Yours faithfully,
    John

Hi, I recently bought this particular projector (Dell M110) and he had about 35 hours of use more than a month. The colors were flickering and I was not impressed.

However, I came across this Dell representative who said

    "Hi lee61431,

My name is Sarah and I work for the team at Dell Community and social media.

Please, remove the power cable from the projector and press the "Power" button for 20 to 30 seconds. This allows to release the residual power of the projector.
After that turn on the projector, and if the problem persists, try to take the projector to factory settings.  To do this:
    Please press "Menu", select "settings".<"Advanced><"Projector><"factory defaults"="" and="" press ="" select="">
Projector would be restored to the default settings. Please let us know if it works for you.

    Thank you.

Here's my video http://youtu.be/9AewsSYE-yE of what happened... and now after ^ his tips, my projector works well again. I might have to cancel my case open with Dell, who organized a technician to come and to 'fix' my projector. Apparently it comes with spare parts (LED, etc).

Hope I'm not too late for giving you these tips, and I hope that it helps :)

    Kind regards

    Hi guys

  • The black point under the mail app should be on to receive mail?

My preference is to leave not only the mail application you always welcome. I'm looking to continue to receive alerts even when the app is closed on the dock. An example would be when the signature that I want for my new apple mail alerts show and also during the use. I just need to know how to configure it to do what I ask. I have to manually click mail to find out if I have mail. But I don't want the app still left outstanding. Should be possible. I get alerts this same way of other apps like FB or EBay.

Sometimes we just don't get what we want.

You must have the Mail running to get new Mail Alerts. This is how it works.

  • Unpredictable behavior with Dell Ultrasharp U2415 two monitors

Since I created my two Dell U2415 monitor, I had sporadic problems with one or two of them are not recognized. I have a system Windows 10 T1700 Dell Precision with two monitors. This is the first time I've ever owned monitors that use Mini DisplayPort technology. The problems are:

    1. I would like to turn the monitor OFF the end of the day, because I don't like the brightness of the light emitted by the power buttons when not in service.  But it seems that turn off the monitors always brings problems when I return to the computer the next day. For example, if I turn off the monitors, the next time I turn everything back on, 1 single monitor is recognized. Sometimes, it's the one on the right, and sometimes it's the only one on the left. The other monitor has power, but no entry is recognized and it just says: "Entering Standby Mode" or something like that, and there is no display.  When this happens, there is no 2nd monitor when I go into the control panel display settings. It's as if the monitor is not plugged. I have to restart my PC again (this time, ensuring that both screens are turned on at the time where it restarts), who sometimes feel to come back on two monitors.

    2. on Monday, I'm alerted me to an update of the software Dell Display Manager, so I installed the update. At the end of the day, I've upgraded my PC sleep (leaving turned on monitor). When I came back in the morning, the PC wake acknowledging only 1 monitor. I had to go to the display settings for Windows 10 and extend to the 2nd monitor (why I am able to do it again)?

Why are these things so delicate?  Is there a specific order in which everything must be turned off and turn it back on so that both monitors will be recognized correctly? Should I wait until my PC is off to turn off the monitors? I turn on the PC BEFORE monitors (or vice versa)? I have to turn on the primary monitor BEFORE the secondary monitor (or vice versa)? There seems to be some magic to all this and I would like to understand exactly what is happening. I want to be able to turn off monitors whenever I like and feel confident that the two be recognized when I've turn them back on. At this point, I'm leaving the power to monitor all the time because of the many problems I had and because I simply do not trust them.

    Thank you

For the computer to identify a DP/CDM monitors, the monitors must be first, and then the computer graphic card reaches out to monitor DP/CDM opening handshake. Any changes to this order will disrupt the handshake. A computer hibernate or sleep modes tend to confuse the DP/CDM handshake. So I don't use them at all.

  • Black or white point in LR Mobile setting

  • Dell U2715H as second monitor sleep problem

I just bought a Dell U2715H monitor to connect to my iMac 27 "mid-2010.

Implementation, the system works beautifully. Plug n play, as we are accustomed to the Apple universe.

But after an automatic start, this morning, the Dell remained black, what I tried.

A phone call with the helpdesk Dell did not bring a solution; they are willing to trade for a new monitor, but I think not (just a feeling) which will tackle the problem.

After having a cup of coffee, I came back to my Mac, who had fallen asleep in the meantime.

Pressing a button all of life, including (surprise) the Dell monitor system.

After a few experiences, I discovered that after a reboot, the Dell remains black.

Put the system to sleep (using a hot corner) and pressing a key is not wake up the Dell.

Bringing the system to sleep and pressing a button after waiting 10-20 seconds, puts the entire system, including the Dell monitor.

The monitor is connected to a mid 2010 iMac 27 "2.93 GHz Intel Core i7, with a miniDP to DP cable.

Although I found this 'solution' after hours of frustrating attempts, it feels a bit inadequate.

Anyone who is familiar with this problem who found a more definitive solution?

  • iMac with new ssd showing nothing but the pointer and white screen

    Hello

I'm trying to fix an old imac (2008), 20 ", the mac crashed hard drive so I installed an SSD and tried to use the start switch to start on my yosemite bootable installation usb. When I try this, start pressing the option key, rather than see the start selector I see only a white screen with the black pointer. I tried to start another mac to this usb port, and it worked well. No one knows why this happens?

    Thanks in advance,

You are using a wired keyboard connected directly to the back of the iMac? If this isn't the case, you could try that.

  • Artifacts (green and black flashing pixels) during video playback X 200

    Hello

    I recently bought a Toshiba X 200-191.
After a while, I noticed green and black points while playing video, view photos and sometimes the vista aero interface. When I use the vista Stephen 3d window flipping until the problem goes away for a while... but finally returns.

I did some research and found with the Analyzer performance Nvidia on the GPU and memory frequency is changing a lot (even in performance mode!) since normal values of @ 625 Mhz GPU and memory @ 702 MHz at 168 Mhz and 100 MHz respectively. Pixel problems occur when the MHz are in lower values.

    I use the drivers of laptopvideo2go 167.45
(it is a pity that Toshiba is not released new drivers for awhile :(

In any case... is a driver related issue or is this some hardware failure such as faulty memory, gpu or even supply?

    Hello

To be honest, I'm afraid, that there may be a hardware problem. To be sure about I recommend you to use supplied recovery media and install OS again to have the factory settings. Test it with the original recovery image. Computer, the problem persists we hardware problem. If not, probably because of the failure to take in charge of driver.

Please inform us of the results.

The point refers to an application that is running, the finder is always on, so the point.
