Dell XPS PLDS DH - 481S BD - RE
I recently bought an HD camcorder and try to edit/burn blu - ray movie discs. My computer is Dell XPS 420 Vista SP2. The Blu - Ray player I try to burn the movie with is a PLDS DH - 481S BD - RE drive internal. I applied all the drivers and firmware updates.
I use Adobe Premier elements 8.0.1 for films of the author. I specify Preset = 'H.264 1920x1080i NTSC Dolby' as output for Adobe Premiere burn. I'm using a Verbatim BD - R 25 GB white.
I posted my problem on the forum of the Adobe Premiere Elements. The consensus is that there may be a problem hardware or firmware with Blu - Ray player on my computer.
How can I determine if the Blu - Ray drive is the source of my problem?

I'm so sorry. I should have checked the model of your drive. You can write to CD and DVD media, but the reader can't READ blu ray discs. The good news is that you have two bays 5.25 "and that he could easily add a BD writing drive.

There has been a few reports of this problem, but the exact cause is still unknown. There is an ISO image that is attached to this document: troubleshooting problems of Intel VT - x. I have a DELL XPS M1330 with Solid State SDD drive. None of the solutions have solved my installation problem including run all the tools to clean up the intall. It restarts after installation, then crosses the restart process, then the States 'installation failed' and then back again.

Autochk runs if the volume is marked as modified.
If the file system has marked the volume as dirty, Autochk runs the Startup Repair process. Volumes are marked as dirty, when the file system detects an error on the volume. If Autochk detects a dirty volume, it provides a delay of 10 seconds, and then starts the repair process. If you cancel Autochk when a volume is dirty, Autochk tries to run again after a 10 second delay every time the computer is restarted.

Dell XPS on MS XP running several windows to include station media TV and internet games offers a pixelated display gradually and freezes. restart clears but reproduces
I love my Dell and use media station to watch cable TV while playing games on the internet (pogo.com) sometimes I play solitaire spider OEM. I think that, especially in the afternoon, my image of the desktop will get pixelated (small hyphens in contrasting colors) gradually fill in top to bottom. I done a clean install on Dell XPS 420 after a crash. Windows XP works fine, but it continues to ask that drivers can be installed before I can get on my internet which is At & T DSL with external modem. When I try to go on the internet, it gives me the error of pilots. I have a Dell XPS 420 I got help from this forum - reloaded Windows XP - reformatted successfully in car and now have Windows XP on the drive. When I try to connect to the internet and set up this internet connection - will not recognize the modem. When I put the disc inside modem will automatically the configuration menu of the computer. I don't know what else to do. I have AT & T internet service that worked perfectly before the reformat Windows XP works fine.

Impossible to detect all devices Bluetooth for DELL XPS M1530 but shown as works fine
My Dell XPS M1530 laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 32-bit. 2 days ago the bluetooth module could not detect all BT devices at all. I had been using a Dell BT travel mouse for 2 years now n it cannot be detected. It is the same for all the other BT devices I turn on. The sign of BT device on the status bar indicates that BT works well, but my other BT devices cannot detect the laptop, mouse. I read something on the net about the Office 2007 updates causes this problem. I tried uninstalling the WIDCOMM software n put it back in place, but nothing seems to work. I'm running true n of Windows Office 2007. Pls help thanks!

Make sure that Windows is configured to accept incoming Bluetooth connections.
Step 1
You can check the compatible devices Bluetooth configuration panel. Here's how:- Click the Start button, select Control Panel, click hardware and sound, and then click Bluetooth devices.
- Click the Options tab, select the allow the devices to connect to this computer check box, and then click OK.
If this step does not help, try the next step.
Step 2
Remove and then reinstall the device:
1. click the Start button, select Control Panel, click hardware and soundand then click Bluetooth devices.
2 Select the device that is not working, and then click Remove.
3. click on Add, press the reset button on the unit (or make it discoverable following the manufacturer's instructions), check the box my device is set up and ready to be found and then click Next.
4. If the device is not found, repeat the previous step. When the device is found, select it, and then click Next.
5. follow the remaining instructions in the wizard.
· Make sure that the device is on and that the batteries should be replaced.
· Make sure that the Bluetooth adapter for your computer is attached and turned on, and that the device is in use and detectable. If you don't know how to turn on discoverability, read the instructions provided with the device or check the manufacturer's Web site.

Dell XPS 420 with Vista Home Premium, replaced the hard drive, download now blue screen errors
My girlfriend has a desktop Dell XPS 420 quit working a year or 2 ago. A computer technician told me that it sounded as if the hard drive was bad, recently I purchased from Dell, a Seagate 1 TB hard drive (the original is a Western Digital 320 GB).
I bought also, once again from Dell, a copy of its installation discs for Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit.
I installed the new hard drive, correctly, as far as I can tell, but I tried several times over the past days to install Vista and a few times I got errors (BSoD) STOP and a few other times, Windows Installer errors.
What's wrong?
I run Dell diagnostics that took almost a whole day, but I don't think anything. I have not partitioned the hard drive, it's like 931 GB.
I think that may be something related to the RAM, but I'm not sure.
