Deploy a UC520 in a 2003 network

I have configured the UC520 and it works like a stand-alone charm. But now I wan't to deploy in our network where a windows 2003 server acts dhcp. I've read countless discussions on this forum but I do not know how to disable dhcp in the CPU and use 2003 as a dhcp server.

I want data (vlan 1) to assign the IP by dhcp from windows (192.168.100.1XX) and the phone (vlan 100) to be assigned by the CPU.

To spice up the problem, I also wan't the IP Communicator to work on the computers of the users.

Thank you!

  • Windows 7/SBS 2003 network complicated by Verizon router problem

I posted here ( http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-networking/windows-7-suddenly-wont-talk-to-sbs-2003-server/e8116774-6b4f-44d3-91cf-b10df236805a?tm=1405553282721 ) and at TechNet ( http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/1f8b8cbc-4b9d-4f68-981c-4c71e7a3f24a/windows-7-suddenly-wont-talk-to-sbs-2003-server-and-viceversa-possibly-dns-but-not-definite?forum=w7itpronetworking ) a problem that I was having with our Windows 7 computers suddenly losing connectivity to our SBS 2003 server. Someone posted a response (reboot our router), which worked, but only on a temporary basis. After turning off the router and turning on, we return connectivity for about 3 days, then we lose it once again, and you need to restart the router again.

I called Verizon and technology, I talked to allegations according to which the problem is that the SBS 2003 server do not have the server DNS and DHCP for the network - router Verizon should be. He claims that the fact that we have the Distribution of disabled on their router IP addresses means that the router never properly know where each address is assigned. The fact that it all worked until a week or two ago and it's only Windows 7 affected machines, it doesn't have an answer for.

His suggestions were A) disable DNS and DHCP on the SBS 2003 server and have both run through the router from Verizon, or B) assign static IP addresses to each machine. Recently what I know (I inherited this system from someone who left little or nothing in the way of technical notes) must be running on the SBS 2003 server since it is a DNS and DHCP domain controller. (B) seems possible, too long I note the static addresses on the server and the router.

This, however, does not really address the underlying problem. Somehow, I think there should be another, more easy way to do this job. All the more that, as I said, these Windows 7 machines are simply turn for about a year and only in the last week or two has started having this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Can deploy us Anyconnect from a specific network?

    Hello

I'm about to deploy a CISCO AnyConnect 4.2 using an ASA5505 (ASA 9.2-7,5 ASDM) for my business.

The IT manager wants to see the AnyConnect deployment for the first time on the devices only, then only if connected to the company, not another network. The ASA offer this possibility? Also, he wants to ensure the solution of mobility by making double authentication, is it possible to make RADIUS + authentication of certificate?

Thanks for helping me because I find nothing in particular to the first question on Google.

    Sincerely.

When you deploy AnyConnect is via the SSL protocol. If you bind the SSL certificate to the external interface of the ASA, you could instead link to the internal interface and launch your VPN from there. While it probably isn't sensible VPN-wise, would deploy a client. However, in the production setup he has no option to restrict this network, customers come from.

Two factors is a good use case for VPN authentication. If you have a PKI that issues the client certificates, you can certainly combine this with RADIUS authentication. You can even pre-populate the user name of the certificate and prevents end users to use something else during the connection process.

  • Windows Server 2003 network problem

    Hi all

I'm putting in place a network of Server 2003 in vmware for purposes of study. I have three installations of Server 2003 and 1 Windows XP Professional VM set up, all are set up in a team of VM. I already put in place a domain controller and DNS on a server, one DHCP server on another and a RRAS server on the third. I have a custom network (vmnet2) that are connected to the three servers and XP system. The RRAS server is configured as a router to the internet. The problem is that my XP client cannot access the internet.

My custom network is 192.168.10.x. The DC 192.168.10.2 is the DHCP server is 192.168.10.4. Both have their default gateways 192.168.10.3 value which is the ip address of the RRAS server. All IPs for servers are allocated statically. The other RRAS server network card is connected to the host (Windows 7 x 64) NAT. For the server DNS (which is also the domain controller I want an integrated to the RFA area), has no configure forwarders. The RRAS server is able to access the internet.

The ipconfig/all command and printed itinerary of the RRAS server are attached.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Adiño

I guess you still use the bridge for the RRAS service. What type of device is the physical router?

You must add a route like this:

Network 192.168.10.0 can be reached through the gateway

  • New flexible deployed network adapters

    Hello

I use the library 'Clone, Linux with multiple NICs' item as part of a workflow. My model is a linux VM with 1 NIC (VMXNET), but I usually deploy VMs with 2 or 3 network cards. However, these additional NETWORK cards is created with the type 'Flexible '.

The workflow, to the Network Config Spec box device, there is a "Get VirtualEthernet several devices", which has the following variables:

    nic1Type, nic2Type, nic3Type, nic4Type.

I create a new attribute (string) for the workflow and set the value ""VirtualVmxnet3 "for her (found the name here: http://www.vmware.com/support/developer/vc-sdk/visdk400pubs/ReferenceGuide/vim.vm.device.VirtualVmxnet3.html ) "

    Then I assign this attribute to nic1Type, nic2Type, nic3Type, nic4Type

If I run the workflow, network cards are flexible again.

What I'm missing here to get a specific type additional network cards?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello!

If I read correctly the workflow "To get multiple changes in VirtualEthernetCard device", this workflow only uses the type specified to identify existing maps.

If it creates new network cards, they will be always flexible (he always calls the "getVirtualPcNet32" action).

    Works as expected.

So I guess you need to build your own workflow clone, by duplicating the original clone workflow and the original "get multiple devices VirtualEthernet" and change the latter to create vmxnet3 adapters.

    See you soon,.

    Cisco secure software

The Cisco PIX firewall product follows the conventions of software version designation defined below. While Cisco recognizes the desire of some customers to deploy only the versions of software for general deployment (GD), we strongly recommend customers consider value to deploy current PIX to benefit software versions of the many new security features and improvements that can often be found only in the most recent early deployment (ED) releases.

    Release train

Exit Train made reference to a major version of the PIX operating system, for example, 5.2, 5.3, 6.0, 6.1. Only the PIX operating system releases receive a designation of release; Releases PIX Device Manager (PDM) do not receive a designation of liberation.

Rapid deployment ("ED"), a release train designated as ED is suitable for selective deployment within the network of the Subscriber, where the new features of the version are necessary. A release train is labeled ED until she reached the status of GD.

General deployment ("GD"), a release train designated as GD is appropriate for deployment to all positions within the network to the Subscriber. The criteria used to declare a release train GD is from, but not limited to, time elapsed since the initial version of the train, feedback from customers, trends in quality over time and other field data. Once a release train realizes GD status, without added functionality or new platform is planned for the release train. In addition, all future maintenance outings of that release train will satisfy the criteria of GD.

  • How to re-scan the relationship between computer ip addresses and network names

On my SBS 2003 network with six or so field PC clients and a few extra non-domaine workgroup (a few XP, some Windows 7) PCs, computers can access each other using \\computername. When I change the IP normally assigned by dhcp to a computer on my network to a static IP address, sometimes the other computers can no longer use \\computername, but I now have to use \\ip-adress instead.

For example, A computer can open the folder "\\mypc\shared". I change the IP address on "MyPC" to a static IP, 192.168.0.220. Now the other computer must use \\192.168.0.220\shared"to access this folder '; \\mypc\shared' returns an error that the specified computer could not be found (or something like that).

I know that I can enter the names and the ip addresses in the Hosts file, but it is manual, and computers it does automatically the first time.

How can I get the PC to re-scan the computer names and IP addresses and link them back to the top?

This can be a master browser problem, look in the event viewer for clues, these browser issues usually register error event ID 8021 and 8032.

Note that this can take up to 13 minutes for a master browser broadcast and announcement answers from computers on the network, the browse list may not be filled until the ads are complete, so everything can be good.

Stop and restart the browser to the computer repaired (or restart) on the computer that has the functions of the master browser will force a regeneration of the browse list.

  • LaserJet P1102 installation over a network of Corp.

    Hello

I'm to deploy several Laserjet P1102 on our network Corp. on Windows 7 32-bit.

I have deployed the P1102 driver to all our Windows 7 PC, but the problem arises when branch P1102 printer via the USB port where the printer shows up as a CD-Rom drive (containing the driver) and not as a printer USB device!

It is an excellent solution for the consumer that is marked, but on our network, our users are not local administrators and are not allowed to install software / drivers (where the driver via our deploymentsystem preinstallation). I found the SIUtillity.exe, where I can change the mode USB from PC to the printer, the printer / USB port, but I need a solution from the administrator, where I can do it in silence and even better before the printer is delivered to the end user.

    Any solution for this?

Best regards, Palle Johansen, IT-admin, Ringsted Kommune, Denmark.

Thanks, but as stated, I know the SIUtility.exe and now I finally found a solution to run the SIUtility in a script.

You can run the SIUtility.exe with the switch "/ disable" to disable the chip-Install of HP. (And "/ activate" to reverse). Found after a long search of Google:

  • ISA550 help of deployment.

    Greeting

I need to deploy a new ISA550 firewall in network scenarios following:

    1. all computers are connected to a switch (192.168.1/24). Static IP address is given to the nodes. Its a Cisco SG - 300 28PoE (L3) switch.

    2. There is an ADSL WiFi router provided by ISPS serving as internal link - I plugged in an ethernet cable to the router to the switch and provided the ip of the router as the default gateway for the machines.

Firewall should be deployed in this environment. What would be an appropriate way to deploy this firewall? I've updated the firmware to the latest version (1.1.17)

    Thank you in advance.

    Parth Maniar

    Hi Parth,

You could do this is to connect the ISA directly to the ADSL router and have the button to connect to the ISA.  You are then the ISA as the default gateway.

One thing, you may want to consider is if you set the ADSL router mode bridge for public ip address can be CEP.

    Thank you

  • Windows 7 network printer problem

I have a desktop running on SBS 2003 network.  All except one of the clients are Win XP Machines, it of a Win 7 machine installed a few years ago and has access to all network printers.  I have added a new Windows 7 PC to the network, Office 2007 works very well, as with most applications, but unlike the other Win 7 machine when we try to add a printer, he said ' User Services Active Directory Domain is currently not available ".  I tried to copy the victory & machine which works ok, but a drawing space.

Also I can not access the company Intranet for our system to SharePoint, do not know if the two problems are related?

Any help is appreciated as the number of entrances to the ' hasActive User Directory Domain Services currently not available ' do not seem to solve my problem briefly.

  • VCS Expressway Network internal

I have a client who wants to deploy the VCSE on the internal network with a VCS. The VCSE has the opportunity to double network. Customer has forged for the VLAN VCSE/VCSC separated. And LAN2 NAT VCSE on the firewall. All CARDS will finish the same L3 switch. Is question solution feasible?

    EMM,

That should be fine, don't forget that if they only use a port on the VCS-E and NAT to one then the VCS - C pointing to the public IP address of the VCS-E, which means that you need to activate the grouping on the firewall. Then the VLAN to which is connected the VCS - C should be able to get out to the firewall to get to the public IP address of the VCS-E.

If you decide to use two ports on the VCS-E you VLAN (3). The VCS - C would point to the internal VLAN VCS-e.
