  I have a client who has Oracle 11 GR 2 Standard Edition for Windows in production and I'm teaching them how to use development using APEX, but I do not understand how to deploy. Documentation of the Apex listener talk WLS and OC4J OracleGlass, but these are all products that my client is not approved for. There is a way to deploy Apex independent auditor but multiple threads are said which shouldn't be used in the production, and I don't see a way to automate restart of the independent auditor on Windows after a restart; It is not a service. I read a thread a little relevant with comments of UDO and Kris Rice, but I don't seem to specify.
  
  Is there a production-quality way to deploy the Apex listener without having to pay for GlassFish/WLS etc... licenses?

  Hi Ron,

  You can deploy APEX listener in so-called stand-alone Mode and have a license (and supported) with your customers 11.2 SE. As you have already mentioned, the embedded container is not characteristics such as running as a service. You can add this kind of functionality with service such as Nelson or srvany envelopes, as described here: {message identifier: = 9606494}, but this scenario is not supported by Oracle as the service wrapper does not part of their product.
  If you (or effectively your customer) do not need (want to pay) support for Oracle, there is no need necessarily one of JEE containers named licensed. You can use GlassFish Open Source Edition (which works quite similar to the supported and documented one from APEX listener perspective), or same Tomcat (who was supported by Kris during the environmental assessment phase, but had to be abandoned officially, probably because Oracle can / will do support their own products - I think that's understandable).

  I hope I can answer your question-deployment-license. If I did not hit your point, please let me know what I need to explain better.

  You must export an rmi to the BCC service that returns the modified files.
  Next to the agent, the auditor of deployment should call this rmi service and get the modified files.

  No, it's the reason to use BCC so that nobody else can collect email addresses in bulk.

• Change the assets of the library within the program without affecting cloud related files

  I use creative cloud under Mac OS x, and all programs are up to date. I have a two part question.

  1. is there a way to edit a library asset in an Adobe program without affecting the linked file cloud? If so, how?

  2. If it is not possible to do it, what is the best practice to edit a library resource without affecting the linked file? Do I have to include the file in the document? Create a new asset with the adjusted attributes and use this asset?

  As an example of what I'm trying to do, I have a logo in a creative clouds library that I use in an Illustrator document. The asset is black, I want to make the Pantone color blue of the company within the Illustrator, however it won't let me change locally. It seems that I have to open the file in the library, adjust it, save it and use that asset. However, I do not want this asset related to change of color in all other documents I used it. So, what I did is to save an asset separate cloud with the logo like this color. This seems unnecessary and unsustainable. Whenever I have a variant of a cloud asset should not require save me a new version of it for this specific use. My library will get crowded, fast.

  If it is not part of the works the library assets, in my opinion, it should be. Be able to adjust an asset at the local level, even if it's a range a minimum of settings without changing the attributes of the linked file, seems to be obvious.

  I wish that it was possible to change the appearance of a related assets without changing the assets in the cloud. This way if something has changed on the assets 'overall' it could be changed and reflected in each document, all keeping this attribute "local." This feature cannot currently? I just want to make sure I'm not missing something.

  I have the following query returns the order customer, transaction quantity, part number, number of sales, and RMA number we had.

  I'm also trying to get the sale price of the ordering customer.  I can return the price list that shows as a price to zero.  After investigation, I found that the price of the item is in the list of secondary prize for the price list that I managed to return.

  Please can someone explain how I can show all lists of secondary prize under a primary price list?

  Can I deploy the same virtual machine (XP Pro), with the same machine name and the same GUID for several machines on a network without going through issues such as errors of names duplicate etc. Or will I sysprep prior to deployment.  If so, is there an easier way to do it?

  Not sure if this is important, but I need to use Bridged networking due to problems with our personal firewall.

  You will need to deal with the dupe GUID. Sysprep is a method.

  Seems simply not non-sensiques having to manually select the CC via the drop-down list / CCI via drop-down additional for each / every email which is composed.

  There are six of one, half one dozen of the other. Yes, most email clients allow you to add multiple names to the To: box. So, you added Dave in the To: box with 5 others. It seems pretty hard to handle already, right? Difficult to scroll left and right to see all these addresses? You now rethink and decide that Dave should be in the Cc: list instead. How to move him? Your email client makes it easy to choose him, select, then drag-and - drop in the Cc: list? When a visitor on the Cc: list, it's easy to avoid the fall of Dave right in the middle of Charles? • Cannot deploy the sample applications of the MAF

  I try to install some of the sample applications on the MAF ( jdev_install/jdeveloper/jdev/extensions/oracle.maf/Samples Directory) on my Android (version 4.4.2) phone without success.

  I use jDev build JDEVADF_12.1.3.0.0_GENERIC_140521.1008.S

  If I have a deployment on an Android package using default deployment profiles, I get the following error:

  "Impossible to deploy the profile because the project 'ViewController.jpr' is not a MAF ApplicationController or ViewController project. (oracle.adfmf.framework.dt.deploy.features.deployers.FeatureArchiveDeployer).

  I searched this error in this forum and found this:

  Then I updated the patch of the MAF, and I still get the same error.

  I then fiddled around a bit dependencies of properties/deployment/Android1/Application Profile

  Now I can deploy on my phone, but the application hangs on the splash screen.  Can anyone advise on what things should be checked in the profile dependencies?

  

  OK, I finally understood what is the question.

  After installing the patch of the MAF, jDev so ask to restart your computer, but for some reason any on my computer this can last from a few minutes to a few days!  The first time that I installed the patch, after a reboot, through the Assistant jDev update request I clicked on OK and jDev stop and waited so he could restart. 5 minutes later, it started so I thought I'd launch myself, so I did.  But what I didn't know that in my list of system processes, jDev was still working (perhaps even install the patch).  Here's a screenshot of my system process (that I took during my third attempt, since I suspect something):

  

  Thus, while this process jDev was hanging out, I started jDev myself and ended up having two jDev processes running.  One that I started manually didn't have the MAF Patch applied, but I thought he did it because I just went through the Update Wizard.

  And so all the trouble, I have tried to deploy the sample applications of the MAF.

  I didn't knew that this much later because a few days later, a splash jDev screen suddenly arisen WHILE I was USING jDev, I knew was because the first time, install the patch jDev prompted to restart the computer.

  Only on the third time reinstall jDev and the patch of the MAF has waited more jDev to restart, and when he finally did restart on its own (3 minutes later) that I checked my installation of the fix for the MAF and found that it was installing successfully.

  I then tried to deploy the sample applications of the MAF again and this time it worked.

  So, in summary, because he took if jDev long reboot after installation of the patch of the CRG, I advanced and started jDev myself, but this instance of jDev, I started upward has not installed the fix of the MAF, and so the trouble I had to deploy the samples of the MAF.

  I hope that something can be improved here so that other users the same tracks as I do not work in the same problems in the future.  It can be as simple as a message before reboot in saying the user to wait jDev restart on its own, otherwise their patch will not install.

  You will need to do a custom development to hang your workflow customized with incoming e-mail. To send notifications by mail electronic action is already there, and while creating his element within the ACC, you can specify a JSP page for the email template. You can view the rest of the relevant documents:

  I recommend you to consult the existing source of DeploymentEmailer in \Publishing\samples\Java and see different types of DeploymentEvent and States can be used, based on your requirement in your custom component.   ATG has a component/atg/dynamo/service/POP3Service to retrieve messages from a POP3 e-mail server, but it is mainly used to detect the bounced email. Not too sure if it helps or adjustment in your case, but still you can go through all the details to know what is already there:

  Now based on all this, if you extend and customize a lot of things, that it would be little complex and tedious detect mail incoming approval based on its content and then advance your workflow. Another approach may be to put a URL in the e-mail template of your notification by e-mail that the approver will click and on the landing page, you can authenticate and advance your workflow to the needs.

• Design of a queue for the Amazon price search

  I am working on a system to retrieve pricing infomration for a list of items via the Amazon API (and ultimately, hopefully, purchase some of them).
  I am thinking of implementing the entire process in Oracle. I have come up with a design below. Does this make sense?
  
  The items are listed in a TABLE, the prices will be listed in a child TABLE.
  The actual XML response would be stored outside the DB due to space constraints. 
  
  Restrictions:
       1) One request batch per second (request batch may have two API requests)
       2) 2000 request batches per hour
       3) Request batch has timestamp
            i) 15 minute timeout
            ii) timestamp is encrypted (with full request)
  
  Steps:
       1) Create FIFO queue (TABLE) for price lookup
       2) Create DBMS_SCHEDULER job
            i) hourly interval
            ii) pushes items into queue
            iii) first request
                 - uses current timestamp
                 - activates second job
            iv) succeeding requests increments original timestamp by one second
            v) run until 2000 request batches in queue, or no more items
       3) Create DBMS_SCHEDULER job
            i) secondly interval
            ii) pops one request batch off queue
                 - if queue is empty, deactivate job
            iii) retrieves response (UTL_HTTP.REQUEST_PIECES)
            iv) processes/stores response
            v) exit

  The QA process can be executed as a DBMS_JOB/DBMS_SCHEDULER process. The master process (this place every second) can be started as a job. It can start in turn also the slave (waiting) processes that do the real work, that jobs.

  It works the same way as MTS/multi-threaded server Oracle Shared Server aka. A process of Dispatcher that places work on a virtual circuit. Sharing process that takes a request for circuit work and does the actual work.

  The problem with DBMS_JOB/DBMS_SCHEDULER in my opinion, is that you do not control the exact time of the execution of the work process. He could start the second specified. He could start a few seconds later. And without real second precision, your code might violate the agreement of its use with Amazon. However, with QA you can control it with your code to the second.

  A simpler method would be DBMS_PIPE - but IMO, he is not sufficiently robust enough to run tight control.
