Deployment for several sizes of screen resolutions

Enforce all applications developed with WW on all blackberry devices os5 +? Or must you explicitly specify what devices the app is for?

Also, can you build specifically for one type of device? E.g. Storm

Thank you

It can potentially work on all devices, but you will probably need to adjust the CSS for the different form factors. There may also be some API functions that are only accessible to the general public to a specific version of the OS.

When you submit your app on AppWorld you can submit multiple cod files and specify which device cod file is for. So yes, you can build specifically for a type, or even a model.

  • Size of screen resolution

    Good experts, here's your chance to win the Gold Cup.   Before this week, I had an old HP with XP Home computer. My monitor is LG Flatron #W2053TP, and with XP Home, the resolution was 1078 x 860 (I think it was the resolution of the screen). Now that I have this HP p6750f with Windows 7-64 bit computer, the resolution of the monitor is 1600 x 900 (recommended), which does something more grand... as is done people face.  Windows 7 automatically adjusts these monitors to the screen resolution that fits?

    Hello:

    Yes it does, but you can change the resolution of the screen a different setting if you wish. Just to the control panel > appearance and personalization > change the screen resolution.  When you select different resolutions, note the appearance of the display screen in the window, you will see change forms such as 4:3 for the old monitor and shape of widescreen 16:9 for one like yours. You can find that the resolution is set for a 4:3 instead of 16:9 screen screen.

    In other words, you should be able to change the resolution of your screen to 1078 x 860 if there is such a context.

    In addition, you can install the driver for your monitor if you have not already done so.

  • Sizes of screen resolution

    Hi all

    I hope someone can help with my query please. I created materials with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768 only to realize some new users can only view it in 800 x 600 on their laptops as the Explorer bar takes a lot of the screen which means that they have scroll around to see the screen. If anyone knows if I can simply resize the videos without having to redo them. The videos are on the corporate Intranet in order to adjust it to the page isn't really an option.

    Thanks in advance!

    Rick,

    Thanks for the welcome and an even BIGGER thanks for the quick and accurate response. Usually, I try but did not see it in the menus (it's what you get for rushing!). That worked a treat!

    Thanks again and have a great day!

  • Resizable page for different sizes of screen, but with the content of the static image. I will use the query?

    I do a page that contains the content of the image for the most part. It's a big circle in the Middle, so I won't be centered vertically and horizontally. I also want to stay centered and resized proportionally for different screen sizes. I read at the request of the media, but it seems to me that the elements just become liquid. Can I do the elements remain in place using the media query?

    Hello

    Check the bottom right of your Internet Explorer web page window to see if the zoom is set to 100%. If it isn't, then click the arrow to the right and select a zoom range from the drop-down.

  • Screen resolution problems (Windows 10)

    I downloaded the latest trial 9 Captivate for Windows 10 and screen resolution problems. Basically, making the software unusable. A lot of screens and dialog boxes seems larger than the current window, they are in, making the right and downstairs parts invisible window (usually, this is where the 'OK' and 'Cancel' buttons for example).

    I'm Captivate on a laptop running 64-bit Windows 10 (Sony Vaio with an NVidia GT 640 M map graphic with the latest drivers)

    Does anyone know how to fix this? Here are some examples:

    captivate1.PNG

    captivate2.PNG

    captivate4.PNG

    No retina.

    What is the size of the police on? Win10, it is often larger than 100%, which is not really necessary for your resolution, but that's a retina display. I am using Captivate on Win10, but Surface Pro and laptop have a retina display.

  • Reducing the size of the Panel complete front to adjust the screen resolution of 1024 pixels / 786 pixels

    Hello.

    I designed the app and now I found the screen resolution required is 1024/786. I have a lot of orders and indicators and very worried that the façade will lose his eye and he'll take a lot of time to be set for each control and text.

    I wonder if this is the way I could shrink the size of the front panel so it automatically reduces the size of each control and indicator and it fits well in the required resolution. Any ideas?

    Thanks for help

    Kind regards

  • Change the color setting for the monitor at a resolution of the screen

    Why have I not change the colors to true color (32 bit) to high color (16 bit) in order to have a clear view for some of the programs?

    Hello

    Your problem with clear display is not related in large part to the quality of the colors

    I guess you have Win 7. Let's check some settings of

    • Your resolution is set correctly? Go to display properties and check the resolution are set at the recommended.
    • Set your level of color quality 32 bit true color
    • Click on Start, and then click Control Panel option. Click view to open the options screen to change the size of screen text on Windows 7 operating system. Check if Smaller - 100% (default) is selected.
    • Check the ppp settings go to set custom text (PPP) size and check if the value is 100%, and use Windows XP style DPI is checked.

    What programs do not display correctly?

    Please publish results.

    Best regards

  • Make the size of the police according to different screen resolutions

    Hi all

    I'm developing an application that needs to run on the two devices OS 6 and 7. There are a number of devices that fall into that category, I need to standardize the sizes of police across all screen resolutions.

    A few messages in the support forum, I understand that I need to use UNITS_pt as the police unit in order to standardize the size of police across all resolutions.

    But my client gave me sizes of fonts to use in pixels. Should have sizes from photoshop. What I need now, is to convert the font size of the pixels into points. I created a method that you can find below, for this conversion, but I don't know if it will work or not. I need an expert advisor.

    public static Font getFontPlain(int fontSizeInPixels) {
            try {
                fontFamily = FontFamily.forName("Helvetica");
            } catch (ClassNotFoundException e) {
                Logger.blackBerryErrorLog("Error creating font", e);
            }
            int size = Ui.convertSize(fontSizeInPixels, Ui.UNITS_px, Ui.UNITS_pt);
            Font font = fontFamily.getFont(Font.PLAIN, size, Ui.UNITS_pt);
            return font;
        }

    Any help on this will be appreciated.

    Thank you much in advance.

    "Should have sizes from photoshop".

    Unfortunately, it's a potential problem.  I've been in this situation before, and the size of the pixel depends on the size of the image that the designer uses to work up the screenshots.

    I had a designer who has very well used 72 dpi in the development of its screenshots and therefore the size of the pixel corresponding points, a point is 1/72nd of an inch.  This could be the case here.  What device has been the designer develops for and what size have been specified for the various policies?

  • Compatibility - How can I design a screen, which should be shaped for any blackberry screen resolution?

    Hi friends,

    In blackberry so many screen resolutions are there. 320 x 240 (curve 8520), 360 x 480 (bb 9550), 480 x 360 (bold 9700)

    For my project, I need to design this 3 resolution separately.  Based on the screen size resolution images will be different. So I have to calculate the margin for each field separately.

    Its very difficult for me. Is there any solutions for this. Please help me.

    Hope you understand.

  • Lock screen resolution does not display the correct image size

    original title: lock the resolution of the screen and graphics

    It's not just me, but I have problems with my lock screen. Any image I use the image is the right size and color aren't (almost like a filter of Sarcelles is imposed).

    My native screen resolution is 5760 x 1080. I tried for some screen resolutions, both the original and the current. Even the original will not display correctly.

    Ideas?

    Well, well, well. After you disable the lock for a while screen, today I decided to re-activated it. I love nail polish it gives for WIn8 only that my plan was to use a solid color.

    Imagine my surprise when applied wallpaper appears with the correct aspect ratio.

    Even more surprised that it allows me to use ANY wallpaper now and they look all perfect; 16:9, ultra wide-angle (surround), it does not matter. Everyone is properly rendered to the screen.

    If anyone from MS is reading this, thank you. I know how Visual, aesthetic items will fall to the bottom of the to do list due to the perception of someone, they are trivial and not important.

    You took the time actually solve this little problem. I am amazed, that perhaps MS really takes a step to circulate better over time. Really looking forward to what is to come!

  • Screen resolution for Captivate Application

    I use the demo version of Captivate and my best for my screen resolution is 1920 by 1080.  I have a laptop, but this is my second screen.  I contacted Adobe Help and all they continued to make is try different sizes.  Well I could have done that.

    The problem is that I have the screen gives me all the features such as scrollbars; in dialog boxes, I can click on cancel or OK.

    All of the suggestions.  I never had this problem before.  Thank you.

    This is a parameter of %, not an absolute font size. Somehow, he must be a resolution problem, I use Win10 as well and see the whole user interface.
