DesignJet 450 c: HP-40 color = black HP - 40? (cartridges)

Hello

Is a 'black 51640AE HP-40"cartridge technically identical to a cartridge"HP-40 colors? Because the item numbers seem to indicate this.

HP-40 color

Yellow-51640YE
Cyan-51640CE
Magenta-51640ME

HP-40 black
Black-51640AE

Thanks in advance!

The 400 series uses only the black cartridge 40.  For color, he uses the 44 cartridges.  40 color cartridges will not work in the 450 HP.

Thanks Bob.  I followed the instructions to the T on my Vista machine.  When I got to step 7 and click 'OK', the following message appeared: the folder that you specified contains a compatible software driver for your device.  If the folder contains a driver, make sure that it is designed to work with Windows for x 64 systems.

The only thing I can think is that the driver is not for a x 64 system.

Oops - that's a critical piece of information missing there, whether you use a x 64 system.  You will need the x 64 version of the driver, which I have never found.

Edit - I don't know how I missed this one, it is and should install on your x 64 system.  Download the driver here. Drivers installed properly on my Windows 7 x 64 system.

    Hello Bob and all others.

    I also wanted driver for my designjet 450 c. I'm using win7 x 64.

It seems that driver (hpdj430x64glen) prints in grayscale only photos.

How I change it in support of all colors. It is not the opportunity to anywhere on the parameters.

    Thank you very much

  • DesignJet 450 c precision cal

My designjet 450 c did not finish the calibration of precision. On startup, I get the ready error lights indicating the need for calibration of precision media + data.  Press cancel-no additional errors. Restart service mode 2.  Print calibration sheet.  He accepts the media when I reload the calibration sheet.  It begins in the calibration.  The transport made exactly 5 scans of the first black bar and then returns to the position of service.  The media lights and the calibration sheet is ejected.  I tried this several times calibration I'm willing to admit with all types of media, including the mylar.  I did all the tests in both 1 and 2 without error service mode.  I cleaned the parts of the probe on the transport (deleted spitton to access).  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for the heads up. I'll take my problem on this forum

Of course, sounds like it.  However I don't see this behavior on a test screenshot.

  • OfficeJet 6000 E609n: One color (black) does not print

Background the color black does not print.
Background page printed from the printer status indicates that there is no black ink. This impression has said that there is sufficient (at least 20%) supply of three coloured inks. Per the comment above, no black printing does appear on the page printed of the status of the printer, even if the black cartridge has been rather recently installed (2015-12-24).
Background none of the four "low ink" lights on the printer are turned on.
Background the State indicated by the HP Solution Center utility displays a green check mark, that is to say, that everything is OK.
Background the "estimated ink levels" in the utility HP Solution Center indicate that the black ink cartridge is about 60% full.
Background I've done the first of these two cleaning procedures to clean the print head. It produces no change. (In fact twice.)
Background I removed the power cord to the printer and unplugged the power cord from the source and then wait 10 seconds. Then I reconnected things together. Nothing has changed.
Background I cleaned the vent for the black cartridge.
Background I replaced the black cartridge. The level indicated on the "Estimated ink levels" in the HP Solution Center utility now indicate that the black ink cartridge is 100% full.  No change.

Background now, I think that the problem may be the print head.  I am discouraged.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi @Upper_Left,

It seems as if the HP product registration service is temporarily unavailable.

Normally you get invited to register immediately after installation is complete.

It's a Web page that can help you know if the printer is listed, or as aid re-register once the number of available service - Registration Question Index.

The term of defective kernel is used which means that the defective part you are replacing is the same part that you send back.

When you select the option to change the replacement part is usually repaired or refurbished, is why there is such a difference in price between the parties. It seems that if the defective part is not returned within the specified time. 'faulty base tax' is loaded.

I can't say for sure 100% that the problem will be resolved to the replacement printhead. If the printer was in warranty, it would be the normal order of operations.

Please click the "accept as Solution" and the "thumbs up" button up on top of my first response above and other similar issues may find the easiest solution.

    Thank you!

  • How to set the color black as default color

I installed a new monitor (acer). Printing color is blue as defalt. I want to change the default color black. How can I do?

What is "print color" has to do with your monitor?  Printing color is determined by your printer.

If you really want to tell the color of the text that is displayed on your screen, you will need to specify what text in which application.

  • HP designjet 450 c drivers after Windows XP

I have a recently purchased Designjet 450 c, flea market, but a good one nonetheless. As an amateur genealogist I use, mainly for printing large family tree, cards etc.

  • HP designjet 450 c

At my work we use an hp designjet 450 c printer and upgraded to windows 7 is there a way to get a driver for it that is compatible with windows 7, that the owner does not want to buy a new monitor.

Is the 32-bit or 64-bit operating system? What is the size D or E size 450 c?  For 32-bit systems, download the drivers for XP from HP here.  For 64-bit systems, you can Download the XP x 64 drivers from here, then unzip the files into a new folder.  Then go to the file devices and printers, add a printer, select the appropriate port, and then select "Have disc" and point to the folder where you unzipped the files.

  • The printer refuses to mix 2 cartridges to print photo (color + black)

    Hello.

I have printer HP Officejet 4500 Wireless.

It works fine, but at the last moment, there is a problem.

When I want to print a photo to the printer refuses to mix cartridges (black + color) in the field of photography.

For example if I want to print a photo.

I can print it as a black and white using the black cartridge (by action) OR I can print with the color cartridge only.

When I print color photo black colors ARE NOT black... It is a mixture of colours (red + blue + yellow)...

The printer refuses to use 2 cartridges at the same time on the same area... Why?

When I print a document with images, it prints the text in black, the color of the text, but in the field of photography, he refuses to add the color black... It simulate the black by mixing of the colors(Red+Blue+Yellow)... Why?

It is only in the AREA that this printer has to use 2 cartridges at the same time in the same place...

I have 2 cartridges, one black and the other is colored (red, blue, yellow).

I recharge them and everything is fine... I have printed a lot of pictures...

The printer considers a HALF FILLED and printed all that I need very good, expect pictures...

THE PROBLEM APPEARED A WEEK AGO... NOTHING HAS CHANGED...

I USED TO PRINT PHOTOS AND HE DIDN'T FAKE THE BLACK COLOR...

That's the problem for me... Because all the photos I print is delivered with a ridiculous BLACK color...

PS - I understand electronic and parameters. I tried to change the settings of the printer and I tried to change the settings on the computer to change the color settings. I tried to use Photoshop with PRO settings for color printing.

    SOLVED!

I changed the settings of paper to Matte 'Photo' (although the photo paper is any MAST)

But now the printer uses a 2 cartridge.

  • Error cartridge DesignJet 450 c

    Hello

I read through both manual & all over the forums and have tried many things to fix my problem, but now I'm confused and hope someone here can help me.

I have a designjet 450 c, which was very much the impression for a year each time that I would need to print.  Recently, the dreaded cartridge light started flashing and stopped printing to the printer.  After much research, I tried the following things to correct this problem:

1 reinstalled software - thought maybe a driver corrupted, but this does not solve my problem.

    2. cleaned contacts on door - photo didn't solve the problem.

3 deleted & reintegrated cartridges (should have started here everything first) - all confirmed except yellow.

4 used the magenta cartridge to test the yellow slot - it confirmed.

5 taking the view that the carrier should work correctly, I bought a new 'HP 44"yellow cartridge.

    6. install new cartridge but the carrier has not confirmed the cartridge.  Retries step 4 above again and confirmed the magenta.

7 clean the contacts on the new yellow and reinserted it but still don't confirm not.

Could I have received a bad cartridge or could there be a problem between this old printer & how HP is making it their new cartridges.  Help, please!

  • By default "black" shows that 4 color black?  [InDesign CS3/Mac OS 10.6.8]

    Hello

I have a file returned by my printer, claiming that the black text is all together as 4-color black.

When I check the palette text color chart is ready to the default InDesign black (100 k).

However, when I view the separations Preview Panel that the text appears as a 4-color black.

If I copy and paste this text box into a new text document appears only as a black (under the separations preview).

If I copy and paste a block of text in 1 color black of a new document in the odd text document comes as 4-color black (under the separations preview).

I tried all the preferences of black color in InDesign. Have not found a solution here.

Am I missing one setting somewhere else?

    Something is damaged?

All the tips are greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    BSAphex

The document contains transparency somewhere on the Page and the merger of transparency of Document Workspace is set to RGB.

Edition > merger of transparencies space > Document CMYK

I'm not surprised that your printer took to it.

  • New user: Question on default color "black".

I apologize for my English is too bad, I hope you understand what I'm saying and help me find the problem.

I got a deal for print in indesign, and I used the default "black" color to cover an icon, when I exit the job of printing, the "Black" area became overprinting. I had to check the setting of the color 'Black' and it is correct (100% Black, no overprint... etc.)

Finally, I created a new 100% black (all the setiing is the same as defacult "BlacK") and used it to cover the icon even once, the output document had not discovered any problems at the moment.

I want to know what is happening to him? Is this normal? If I'm not again I have this overlay problem, should I create a new 'Black' every time?

    Top: using New 'Black '.

Second: use default "black"(red circle is the object of the overprint)

    Sample_2.jpg

    Sample_1.jpg

Yes, it is a normal behavior. The black swatch in InDesign overprinted by default to 100%.

You have discovered the easiest way around it.
