HP designjet 450 c

At my work we use an hp designjet 450 c printer and upgraded to windows 7 is there a way to get a driver for it that is compatible with windows 7, that the owner does not want to buy a new monitor.

Is the 32-bit or 64-bit operating system? What is the size D or E size 450 c?  For 32-bit systems, download the drivers for XP from HP here.  For 64-bit systems, you can Download the XP x 64 drivers from here, then unzip the files into a new folder.  Then go to the file devices and printers, add a printer, select the appropriate port, and then select "Have disc" and point to the folder where you unzipped the files.

This forum focuses on the level of consumer products.  For the Designjet you can have better results, post it in the forum HP Designjet business here.

I have a recently purchased Designjet 450 c, flea market, but a good one nonetheless. As an amateur genealogist I use, mainly for printing large family tree, cards etc.

Now I learn that Microsoft are determined to get rid of their XP operating system an OS I've used consistently for many years, the main reason being that Vista and 7 is a not only deliver to an old-timer like me.

I love my designjet 450 c and want to know if I am forced on the road to meekly accept Windows 8, I'll be able to locate a driver for my printer. Anyone know what the story is on this one?

Thanks Bob.  I followed the instructions to the T on my Vista machine.  When I got to step 7 and click 'OK', the following message appeared: the folder that you specified contains a compatible software driver for your device.  If the folder contains a driver, make sure that it is designed to work with Windows for x 64 systems.

The only thing I can think is that the driver is not for a x 64 system.

Oops - that's a critical piece of information missing there, whether you use a x 64 system.  You will need the x 64 version of the driver, which I have never found.

Edit - I don't know how I missed this one, it is and should install on your x 64 system.  Download the driver here. Drivers installed properly on my Windows 7 x 64 system.

  • Error cartridge DesignJet 450 c

    Hello

I read through both manual & all over the forums and have tried many things to fix my problem, but now I'm confused and hope someone here can help me.

I have a designjet 450 c, which was very much the impression for a year each time that I would need to print.  Recently, the dreaded cartridge light started flashing and stopped printing to the printer.  After much research, I tried the following things to correct this problem:

1 reinstalled software - thought maybe a driver corrupted, but this does not solve my problem.

    2. cleaned contacts on door - photo didn't solve the problem.

3 deleted & reintegrated cartridges (should have started here everything first) - all confirmed except yellow.

4 used the magenta cartridge to test the yellow slot - it confirmed.

5 taking the view that the carrier should work correctly, I bought a new 'HP 44"yellow cartridge.

    6. install new cartridge but the carrier has not confirmed the cartridge.  Retries step 4 above again and confirmed the magenta.

7 clean the contacts on the new yellow and reinserted it but still don't confirm not.

Could I have received a bad cartridge or could there be a problem between this old printer & how HP is making it their new cartridges.  Help, please!

  • DesignJet 450 c precision cal

My designjet 450 c did not finish the calibration of precision. On startup, I get the ready error lights indicating the need for calibration of precision media + data.  Press cancel-no additional errors. Restart service mode 2.  Print calibration sheet.  He accepts the media when I reload the calibration sheet.  It begins in the calibration.  The transport made exactly 5 scans of the first black bar and then returns to the position of service.  The media lights and the calibration sheet is ejected.  I tried this several times calibration I'm willing to admit with all types of media, including the mylar.  I did all the tests in both 1 and 2 without error service mode.  I cleaned the parts of the probe on the transport (deleted spitton to access).  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for the heads up. I'll take my problem on this forum

  • DesignJet 450 c: HP-40 color = black HP - 40? (cartridges)

    Hello

Is a 'black 51640AE HP-40"cartridge technically identical to a cartridge"HP-40 colors? Because the item numbers seem to indicate this.

    HP-40 color

    Yellow-51640YE
    Cyan-51640CE
    Magenta-51640ME

    HP-40 black
    Black-51640AE

    Thanks in advance!

The 400 series uses only the black cartridge 40.  For color, he uses the 44 cartridges.  40 color cartridges will not work in the 450 HP.

  • DesignJet 450 c accepting not media

I have a plotter of 450 c that I replaced the sensor line on transport.

This was replaced because I thought it was my problem because the sensor was not picking up the plate on the end of the roll, and then was not picking up the edge of the paper when loading media.

The new sensor does exactly the same.

What else would be the problem.

    Really annoyed.

    Hello

not sure that my suggestion may help, but you can try on it.

    1. check if the media sensor is installed correctly, including the cable for the media sensor

    2. check if the lever of Pincharm is in place, it should be.

    3. If the media are rejected during the media edge controls, pls check on line sensor is properly installed

    4. make sure that the line sensor is calibrated

    5. replace the media sensor to test if media sensor problem

    6. replace the cart

Hope this is useful and have a nice day.

  • HP designjet 450 c prnter: no light on HP 450 c

My plotter does not receive my plots of the computer. I opened the hood to the plotter to clean the ink cartridge, replaced the ink and the light is green fixed but the lights of the cartridge and the data were also, regular orange, I pushed the Cancel button, as I did in the past, data light is out but then makes the witness, the cartridge light stayed on but blinking now orange. I think the cartridge is flashing because I've been running the drawing board without cartridges of color for a little while now. I think that the main problem is no ready light. Any suggestions?

With the cover open, remove the black cartridge and then again put glancing light.  It should Flash 2 or 3 times.  If it is flashing it means the plotter does not see the cartridge as good or can't read the cartridge as being inserted.  You will then need to try another well-known cartridge.  If the same question, then you may have a problem of transport with the black slot.  You could try the flex connector to the back of the cleaning cart that mates with the cartridge.  Use clear water.

  • HP designjet 450 c A0-C4716A: HP DesignJet450c seeing 'READY' becomes after start.NO.

After departure followed by normal calibration process, the 'READY' light not blinking and remains off. I suspect that the mechanical sensor of the cover in the right slot in under the CAP does not work correctly. Electrical connection of the probe is OK. I think that the problem is mechanical and involves the no contact of the cover with the plastic part of the sensor. What should I do?

If it is really a problem of closed cover... Lift the cover up... in the lower right corner is a vertical rectangle plastic lid fits. Over time her can wear/break plastic makes it difficult to engage the switch. Wedge a piece of cardboard in this opening, if engaged (push) switch. If your light turns on and remains lit... you're right in question contact. If this isn't the case, it could be the switch itself. Good luck, hope this helps!

  • New large Format printing, need help with 450 c

Hiya, people. I'm SO happy to have met this forum. I need some serious advice with a purchase of Craigslist lightning. This morning, I picked up a DesignJet 450 c with legs/stand and a JetDirect 300 x print server. I did a quick Google search to see if the printer would work with my Macbook and the answer * seems * Yes, it will, using Gutenprint. I could not test the unit out before I forked over the money, but I have fire and managed to load paper, scroll the lightshow market, etc. Worst case, I can sell it on Craigslist.

I've got it now houses, and I really have no idea how to do it get up and running. It is connected, turned on and it will print configuration pages (so-more in a minute), but something is not quite right and I need help, whether it is user error, bad consumables or a defective unit.

When I load a sheet of paper and run the black print cartridge alignment routine, I get a sheet printed in alone cyan. When I run the color cartridge alignment routine, I get a printed sheet only in cyan. In fact, when I'll be whatever it is, it is printed in alone cyan. Good news is, the machine seems to be functional. bad news is, it doesn't seem to work correctly immediately.

I removed all ink cartridges, shaken a little and reinstalled, make the flashing light "Ready" each time. That has really improved the quality of printing cyan, but they are still only cyan. I ordered the new cartridges, but in the meantime, is there anything else I should try? I have a series of questions, but I need to get the machine printing test pages correctly, I think.

Thanks in advance for your help. Let me know what additional information you might need and I'll see what I can do.

What is the address of the computer? It should be in the same frame. If this is not the same then the direct stream must be reset so that it can find an ip address that corresponds to your network. Outermost Jet directs reset if you disconect the power and then hold the test button and connect the power supply to. For a few seconds, then release. Wait about 1 minute and then press the test button to get the config page which should now show a new ip address. Type that ip address in your web browser, and it can have a web page where you can refine the settings to make the permanent address.

  • T120: Will be this Ink Jet Dry Out?

I'm looking to replace my designJet 450 c late which lasted about 14 years. My biggest complaint with this printer was that after sometimes go months without printing, the nozzles on the ink cartridges would be dry. I was able to revive the black ink cartridge by rubbing its nozzles with isopropyl alcohol on a Q-Tip, but color cartridges were less forgiving and had to be replaced long before their ink have been spent. I finally gave up on using color printing.

I would like a new printer 24 inch large format color, mainly used for architectural drawings, and the T120 is in my budget. The question is, is ink technology and feel similar to that of the 450 HP. and so give me the same problems of drying out or have improved that will give me years of carefree color printing without ink with clogged nozzles?

To be honest continuous months without printing is never a good idea with any inkjet printer even high-end.  The new Designjet printers uses a different method for the delivery of the ink in your old c of 450.  On your old printer, the ink and the print heads are one unit if the ink ran out you need to replace or if the printhead part went wrong, you need to replace.  Plotters of today have separate and distinct from the printheads ink tanks.  They use a set of tube between the two to provide the necessary ink.  The print heads contain little ink since it must flow from the top down and is powered by the tanks and the tubes where the ink is under pressure.  Also, service stations where parks of the carriage house when not not used are made better and cap the print heads better to provide a better seal to avoid drying out.  Usually, I recommend to my clients to print a flush at least once every 2 weeks.  May be a small article, but it keeps the cool heads and prevents the clogging in the long term.  On most modern conspirators, I see today, printing heads last 2 to 5 years without problem.  Also, as far as I saw never ink tanks go wrong.  On some models, the inks expire, but most allow for continuous printing with inks has expired.  Most recent plotters also have a cleaning routine that cleans the print heads when the obstruction has occurred.  Hope this helps with your decision.

  • hp450c media in an attempt to feel measured error

    Media error

    Thanks for the comments.

However, I need not post the question because I came across the answer. I found it by trial and error that I needed to use the largest sheet size E. When I tried 8-1/2 X 11 and 48 inch rolled media I got a flashing of media.

I'll try better in the future to post in the right group.

  • Print driver

I have a HP Designjet 450 c.  I was told there was a Windows XP Driver for what might work as well on Windows Vista.  So far I have been looking for 2 days and can not find a driver to work on XP or Vista.  Is there a driver with clear and precise indications?

  • my notebook, ProBook 450 G2 go goes into sleep mode when well even parameters of energy set to never.

My notebook, ProBook 450 G2 goes into sleep mode when well even parameters of energy set to never. The operating system is Windows 7 Professional.  I had a technician Microsoft verifiez_ the. I also had HP tech check the. They both said that it was a hardware problem. I sent it to HP to fix it and they replaced the motherboard and said that they have tested. When I came back, it entered into mode 'sleep' again. I left my laptop for about 15 minutes and when I came back it was in mode 'sleep'. This always occurs after the laptop remained for about 15 minutes.

    Does anyone have a solution?

I sent my laptop repair HP. They replaced some cables and motherboard, but it does not solve the problem. They finally replaced the Windows 7 operating system. Basically they gave me a new system. I spent 3 days to update windows with all the updates and then re-loading of my programs. What a mess!

  • Designjet T120: HP T120 error BA7F11E0 designjet

We have a HP designjet T120 when power on/off, this (BA7F11E0) error message appears on the screen immediately.  No movement of transport or initialization is performed. Just the error and nothing else. Pls help.

    Thank you

    Hello

Try to isolate the printer, remove the printhead, inks, connectivity cables and turn on the printer.

If the error persists, it may be a problem with the APC hand.
