Designjet Z5200: How to replace a print head on Designjet Z5200

I have updated firmware and ran troubleshooting and received the message of

replace the printhead for LM - LC.

It's a part that I can order and replace myself or is it recommended to fix my printer?

My warranty has expired.

Thanks for your suggestions, help about this.

Hello

You don't need a technician to replace a print head.

  • replace the print head, always print the habit or alignment. OfficeJet 6500 has more E710N

cleaned print head, installed new print head, always feeling used or align.

Hello @tgrtlr , welcome to the forums there.

I understand your Officejet 6500 a is not by aligning, or print for you and I have a suggestion to use your troubleshooting steps.

Check out this guide and try the steps: "Alignment failed" Message appears on the printer control panel

If these steps do not help, and the alignment is still not completed successfully and you cannot print, you can also try these steps by Bob_Headrick: black ink does not

If you want to follow through with instructions to Bob, I would recommend only read and carefully.

If all else fails, I would finally call HP to see what your replacement or options trade can be.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8500 a: replacement of the print head

No yellow does not print at all, who are considering the purchase of the Black/Yellow Printhead to fix this problem.  Just replaced the yellow w/HP cartridge cartridge.  Printhead cleaning several times, tried the alignment (failed twice).  Printer is relatively old (model CM755A, CN12OBR1JJ series) and warranty expired in 2012.  Should I buy a new printer, or replace the print head will definitely cure the problem?

    Hello

In most similar cases, the replacement of the print head can work sometimes and sometimes not.

and given that the printer is a bit old, I'd say for an upgrade.

  • printers HP 8500 (A910a): print head for white stripes of printing cyan horizonnally

After the old replaced print head, printer replrts the cyan cartridge is low. It's a brand new cyan cartridge. How can I get the printer to consider new?

To answer the first part of your question, you can clean the heads printing either through the front of the printer or do a manual cleaning.  This document here will focus on horizontal lines in printing and show how to correct the issue, clean the print head through the façade and based on the printed report, the print heads to replace.  The other way to clean the printhead contacts is to do a cleaning of the contacts of manual.  Here a link to a document that shows a way to clean the contacts manually.

The cartridge error message, I would like to look at this document. He will wear the error message you are getting and troubleshooting steps of the offer to take to try to solve this problem.

  • my print head large format 7500 needs?

My 7500 has large format officejet displays the message "ink cartridge seems to be missing or damaged.  I cleaned second level clean print heads, put in a new hp black cartridge, clean the plates of copper brass on the cartridge and the printer.  do I have to replace the print head?

I understand that you are looking to replace the print head after doing the different troubleshooting steps, but I would like to clean the print head manual too. Here a link to the user manual. It will show how to clean the print head and what materials to use on pages 120-125. While you clean the contacts on the print head after you delete it, check to see what warranty end date to the printhead is. If this date has not passed, I would call into HP total care for quality output troubleshooting.

I would also do a hard reset of the machine to try to clear the error message and return the printer to a known working state. No user settings are lost with a hard reset.

    1. with the printer plugged directly into a wall outlet and turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
2 then unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    3. wait at least 30-60 seconds
    4. plug the power cord into the wall outlet first. If a module with the power cord, make sure that the light of the module and then reconnect power cord on the back of the printer
    5. the printer should power back on by itself, but if not use the power button on front panel to turn on machine.

  • Alone cyan little showing what cleaned print head - Pro L7680

I tried "cleaning ' my impression runs a dozen times, and each time, I see only small horizontal lines of color cyan in the appropriate boxes. There is much ink in the cartridges. The all-in-one OfficeJet Pro L 7680 use cartridges without print heads. Ink is supplied to the printheads through flexible tubes. Unless there is an easy solution, I might need to remove the printheads and dip them in hot water, but I'll need a primer on how to open the cover, then remove them.

I doubt it makes a difference, but a few months ago, I upgraded my able 5 year old PC, 64-bit Vista 32 bit to 64 bit of Windows 8 Pro. I have some problems of compatibility, but it seems to work very well

Here is a link that will provide you with instructions on how to replace and install cartridges and printheads. Before cleaning the print heads, I'd watch this document first of all it does not address the issues of print quality for your printer model. Just look at it and see if there are all the additional steps that you might have not already tried.  Pages 147-150 user manual pointed out how manually clean the print head. I would check the date of warranty on the print head before dipping as which can void the warranty on parts. If this date has passed, the soaking will be no danger as replacement would be the only other option left.

    I have a HP Officejet Pro 8500 a Premium e-all-in-one printer - A910n printer on a home network.

I have known printing issues that point to a printhead problem; but I don't know where.  I lined up and cleaned the print heads HP Print & Scan doctor and the console on the printer.  No luck; My test pages shows the black and magenta blocks, but not blocks cyan or yellow.

I printed the console power-on self-test diagnostic page; and, he pointed out that the status of printhead is good for the two print heads.

If I have to replace a print head, I don't know what printhead to replace.  Of what I have posted. It sounds like black/yellow or magenta/cyan failed; or do I have another problem?

    Thank you!

  • Print heads

I have an Officejet Pro L75990.  Cyan is streaks.  I replaced the cartridge and it does the same thing.  I pulled the print head and cleaned.  Who took care of him for a day, but he's doing the same thing.  I replaced the print head and still questions.  I took a flashlight and looked at where the print head.  The black looks like that there is something that clears the print head.  On the Cyan/Magenta, nothing is there and it's just a smooth plastic surface.  Is there supposed to be something under the printhead as well.

I don't think it's normal for the printer do not have the SpongeBob, I think it's a coincidence that your printer and one that I used to take photos lack the same sponge. My advice would be to replace the printer not the print head. In fact what you would spend on a printhead could be invested in a new printer, that would come with a complete set of inks, guarantee, and the most recent print and ePrint AirPrint technology.  Easily printable for your smartphone or Tablet - learn more

    Hello

OfficeJet 6600 doesn't have a replaceable print head.

IAM surprised to read in your post that you had replaced the printhead twice.
