DeskJet D4360: why my printer prints some lines in italics?

I recently put in a new printer cartridge and now the printer prints some lines randomly on the page in italics.  Why?  How can I fix it?

Hi Ba-rk , thanks for getting back to me!

I hope you had a great weekend!

If you make a copy of something from the glass as opposed to aprint without italics, the copy comes out with italics?

I suggest to remove the cartridges and perform a power reset.  Unplug the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug back in the printer. Make sure that you connect the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any surge protector or power bar.

I recommend also to download and run the HP print and Scan doctor.

Please hold me!

  • LaserJet M477: LaserJet M477 prints some lines in italics, and vertical lines must be straight are wavy

    Hello

    I just bought my LaserJet M477 a week ago, and I've noticed a few problems print quality:

    • When I print text documents, some lines incorrect impression of italic characters, while the text is not italicized in the source document.  The problem is not random - I can print the same page twice, and it is implemented in italics in the same places.
    • When I print graphics, long straight lines parallel to the direction of the paper path have regular aberrations, light showers in them.  The problem seems to occur at intervals down the page (as if there could be an irregularity in a circular or cylindrical part inside).  I am even noticing the problem when I print the test page "setting of alignment".  In comparison, all the lines that are perpendicular to the paper path are sharp and straight.

    Another post on this site suggested a "reset power" to solve a similar problem with the italics, but this does not solve the problem for me.

    I've also updated the firmware and drivers and installed/reinstalled the printer, each nothing helps.

    The question of italics seems like it might be a software problem, but I fear that the problem of vertical wavy lines might be a mechanical problem.

    Could someone suggest solutions?

    Thank you

    Droms,

    I chatted with HP online tech support yesterday, share everything we have discussed here and they concluded that there is a hardware problem with the printer.  They recommended I have share the printer to my point of sale to another unit.  Fortunately, I'm still within 14 days of the back window.  HP has also instructed to give me my case ID to the retailer, probably as license to HP for them to accept the return unit and perhaps to help diagnose the unit once the logistics team sent back to HP.

    BTW, HP examined our whole conversation here thread, and the thought of a problem with the Starter toner cartridges never came.

    You can continue a similar conversation with the HP technical support.  I'd hate to see that you stuck with a defective printer.

    Thanks for your comments, and I hope that you are able to get an acceptable resolution.

  • HP deskjet 5150 does only print one line at a time

    My deskjet 5150 worked very well until another paper went through and stuck.  I was able to pull the tail of the outside before he completely crossed, thus eliminating the document.  After that, the printer went from normal to print to print one line at a time, with long breaks between the two, such that a journal would take several minutes to print.

    It happened before, and it seems that one of the many random things that I try finally works (striking out the cartridges, etc.), or he decides to forms and works correctly at some point anyway.  I don't know what is the actual active ingredient.  However, it has recovered from such behaviour several times before.

    I should mention that this malfunction/recovery routine began and most recently occurred when connected to my old iBook G4 Mac computer.  I have just this week has changed to a MacBook Pro, the latest operating system running, and the printer is not different.  It prints one line at a time.

    I don't know when this has happened to the other HP printers that I had in the past, I just put away, not realizing that they still had plenty of life in them left.  This one, I have "revived" several times already.  But how, I'm not sure!

    You have any ideas?

    Hi there chitownchic,

    I suggest paper paper jam for the troubleshooting steps that are recommended for the jamming problem you had. Generally a very good cleaning of the rollers will help a little, and also a power reset.

    I hope that helps!

  • Why are some lines printed in blue in ProgramData? Have I not a bug/trojan/virus?

    I was looking for recent programs that I added not quite sure of the spelling of the name and intended to go to Program files, but hit ProgramData and I see that some lines are in blue type and others in black?  Am I in trouble? what it means?

    Blue type for a file name indicates the file is compressed.  For more information, seeHow to compress and uncompress a folder or file with the NTFS Compression in Vista and Windows 7 .

  • HP Deskjet D4360 printer

    Help!  HP Deskjet D4360 printer is practically new out of the box - probably printed a dozen copies to date.  Ink cartridges are genuine HP and also almost brand new.  The printer has been used for a few months, which has never been a problem w / my previous 4360.

    Initially "printing" white pages; re-installed the software and provided a sample page in various shades of blue, with the "20" in the almost invisible centre.

    I cleaned and re - clean cartridges (basic and intermediate); aligned and re-aligned; calibrated and calibrated; primed and re-primed - to no avail.  With printing alignment, I'm not able to determine any # s in order to answer the questions about the visible lines least.

    Undertook to research further and was guided on how to print a 'diagnostic' page - the printer chatters and click on that it will do something, but nothing.  The instructions give no indication of how long to press the power & Cancel buttons, so from different eras have been tried.

    Also turned the printer off and restarted it about half an hour later--had no effect.

    I need to use this printer today - any of you experts can help me?

    Have you tried to install new cartridges?

    Hello SteveButabi,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

    I understand that you do not want to set printing in black ink by using the Deskjet D4360. I will do my best to help you! Please follow this document from HP about changing the parameters of printing from Mac OS X. Click on your operating system, then click on step 4: change the print settings in the print driver. Find the tab color option and that there should be an option to print in grayscale.

    Please let me know if you do not have this options available. I will seek forward at the hearing on your part have a beautiful day!

  • Deskjet 5940 or Deskjet D4360 network print server

    I would like to find a cheap USB to ethernet edge server printing for my Deskjet 5940 printer so that I can share it between three PC.  Even if I can find a number of devices for sale on the Internet, it seems that they are usually only compatible with certain printers.  For example the IOGear GPSU21 (http://www.iogear.com/product/GPSU21/) seems an attractive choice, its compatibility list at

    http://www.IOGEAR.com/file/PDF/GPSU21_PrinterCompatibilityList_201208.PDF

    lists many Deskjet printers, but not the 5940.  Other manufacturers do not yet provide compatibility information.  Can anyone recommend a similar print server that is compatible with my printer?  I also own an HP printer deskjet D4360 I could use instead, but it has the same compatibility issue.  Thanks for any help!

    The first and third items you mention are wireless, not ethernet. The second element has a parallel printer USB port no. The last three items are pluggable EIO. None of them are similar itmes for IOGear device that I mentioned. I will accept as your mention of IOGear unit solution, but if you check Amazon customers and other user forums, it seems that 50% of chance that "any network printer" cannot be obtained for work, where my original question.

    DeskJet D4360 will print a document or allow me to delete/cancel it

    Hello

    Try to clear the queue as follows.

    From the desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run window, type services.msc and press to enter.  Scroll down to the print spooler service, right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.  Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the work inside this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

    Once completed, restart the computer.

    Comment

    In my opinion, unless you want to print the notice yourself for some reason, this might be the time to look for a local printing Service company that can help by printing the invitations for you with your special message / staff.

    You can provide the staff of print service with a sample of your message that is printed on plain paper.  This way you are not tempted and then perhaps overwhelmed with choices that may be other than what you have already decided.

    Why use a printing Service?

    • This printer also beautiful be, isn't able to print invitations from the way you expect.
    • The invitations are likely to be expensive and perhaps not easily replaceable.
    • The test phase may exceed the number of invitations you want to risk.

    If you do, you could remove this in your list of items "I do" and entrusts the care professionals.

  • DeskJet 1050 J410: HP Deskjet 1050 J410 intermittent printing problem

    My printer has an intermittent problem where when something is being printed, a line will have the empty right in the middle of it (you can see part of the printed information line above and below the Virgin part).   About ninety percent of the lines print correctly.   Even if the cartridge still had ink, I replaced them - this has not fixed the problem, so I thought that the printer was bad.

    This is where it gets strange:

    Some time ago I bought an another Deskjet 1050 J410 (it was on sale and I wanted a backup).  I replaced the active printer with the new printer, thinking the problem would probably solve themselves.   Guess what?  It does the same thing as the old printer.   It doesn't seem to matter what I print (emails, documents,...).

    Thinking that it must be something in the processor (motherboard, printer card?), I turned off the system and left on the printer, then copied a page on the printer as a test.    It is also the same problem.  So now that I'm back to thinking, it is a printer problem.   But how the new printer could have the same problem as the old printer?

    Any ideas what is causing this and how to fix it?

    I ran the diagnostics HP (HP Print and Scan Doctor) and no problems were found.

    I also ran the HP (alignment, cleaning cartridges and printer) Toolbox.

    Is there a software that is loaded directly on the printer and could that be the cause of the problem?

    P.S. before I met this problem about 1 week ago, I had used the printer for more than 2 years and not had this problem.

    Jamieson, of the Forum of Support HP team sent me an email with a link that has several steps to correct the problem, I did.   I am very pleased to report that my problem has been corrected.    Jamieson, Bravo.  You have made my day. Keep up the good work.     I'm curious to know what caused this problem to occur.

  • Single-line print multi-line TextField

    Hi all

    I have 2 TextFields on a frame in my film. What happens is, if my connection to losses of film to a server, it starts to run a timer to continue to retry the connection every 10 seconds. And what I'm trying to do is to write in one of current advance TextFields and what 'Retry' count on what we... But for some reason, I'll try to have 2 htmlText lines appear on the same line, except the second method htmlText adds new text to a line break.

    I already put the TextField on the stage to be single line and no. WordWrap, and set the text of TLF. So how could it possible to appear on separate lines 2. ? What confuses me the most, is that I updated the TextField on the stage and in the following single line (* just to see if it helped, and there no), then why he would print to a second line is spooky in my mind.

    Here is my code:

    / * There are 2 TextFields:

    *    #1. Title/header field, this text will not change.

    *    #2. Message/info field, this is the text I want to change to each loop timer

    */

    function retry_connectSocket(event:TimerEvent)

    {

    trace ("FUNCTION IN: retry_connectSocket():");

    WBDMovie.errorMsg_textField.multiline = false;

    WBDMovie.errorMsg_textField.wordWrap = false;

    Add text to the textfield 'errorMsg_textField ':

    err_string = ' # ' + myTimer.currentCount + '. '. Retrying connection... "

    WBDMovie.errorMsg_textField.htmlText = "< font color ="#FFFFFF"size = '25' > < b > ' + err_string + ' < /b > < / police > ';

    Call function 'connectSocket()' to try to reconnect to the server:

    connectSocket();

    If socket.connected returns TRUE, then the connection has succeeded

    If (socket.connected)

    {

    Print the Message that the connection is successful:

    WBDMovie.errorMsg_textField.htmlText += ' < font color = "#00FF00" size = '25' > connection successful! " "< / police > ';

    } else {}

    Print the Message saying that the connection has failed:

    WBDMovie.errorMsg_textField.htmlText += ' < font color = "#FF0000" size = '25' > Connection Failed! "< / police > < br / > ';

    }

    }

    No idea why it is printing several lines? In addition, any ideas for why the "BOLD" < /b > < b > tags do nothing no more?

    Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,

    Matt

    Have you tried to use a regular dynamic TextField instead of a TLFTextField?

  • HP Deskjet 1112: HP Deskjet 1112 does not print

    Recently, I bought a HP Deskjet 1112. It prints very irregular and I can't seem to understand the problem.

    Here's what I've tried so far:

    (1) turning and turn on the printer
    (2) turn the system off and on again spooler (using Windows + R, typing in services.msc, turn off the spooler, then by disabling the that and turn it back on)
    (3) uninstall and reinstall the software (this is what the printer Troubleshooter told me to do)

    The convenience store told me that is missing a driver, and he also says that the printer and the computer communicate well. I wonder if it is a question of rope? In addition, I do not know what a driver is so I don't know how to check if it is operational.

    Help, please. I'm running out of ideas for now thanks in advance!
