  Hi we have just updated the firmware on our access points (WNDAP360) 2 and cannot add them in the WMS5316 (ProSafe 16ap)

  Now solved

  Had to manually assign an IP address in the same subnet (which had already been done), and then restart the WMS service, then try and add it again. Connection is established and the progress indicator has increased. Several times he has failed when even at 40%-60% and said the authentication has failed.   I'm looking for here (or get) help directed to the right forum regarding an error message I got when trying to open a PDF file.  The error message indicates "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action.  Please install a program or, if such is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel. "To be quite honest, I don't have the slightest idea as to what to do with respect to this message and I need some advice ASAP.  I have the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader installed and if I have to contact them instead about my problem, please let me know.

  If you use a Webmail and access them through your browser (e.g. Internet Explorer), mailto links will not work. Windows is looking for an email client by default than Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, etc.

  My HP printer cannot scan documents directly to my email unless I have create an association.  I use Microsoft outlook to access my hotmail account, so according to the HP support site, I should be able to use outlook to scan directly to my printer to create a Sendable pdf directly to my email.  Whenever I try, he tells me to create an association in the default programs, and I'm fighting to do.  I use Windows 8, if anyone can help I would be grateful.  Thank you.

• When I open "Set your default programs" in my list of programs by default, Internet Explorer is not listed. Nothing happens when I try to add using "Set Program Access and Computer Defaults"

  It started when the links in my Windows Mail messages stopped working. I received an "Application not found" error when I clicked on a link in an e-mail. I went online to find an answer and told everything to use the list of default programs. But IE is not on it and I cannot Explorer to display in the list, no matter what I do. It is, however, listed as my browser program by default when I go to IE tools > Internet Options > programs.

  At the same time links Windows Mail has stopped working, IE icon disappeared from my office. However, I was able to restore, and that seems to work very well, like the Explorer himself. I tried to reset the default settings of IE using tools > Internet OPtions (although that I changed the personal settings), but that does not make the difference.

  Also, it seems that the 2nd IE icon (which looks like a small page, rather than the usual 'e' with halo) on my bar launch and in my programs. When I click on that, I get a message saying "Windows searches for IExplore.exe. To locate the file yourself,... "And then it says the shortcut has been changed or moved. This would be part of the problem?

  You have whatever it be listed in your programs by default, or is it completely empty?
  If there is nothing listed, you can view the link here which has a solution that helped some people.

  If you don't have some programs listed in default programs, then that would probably not help.
  Have you tried doing a SFC/scannow?

  Try the following steps:

  First of all, we run System File Checker to see if you have a corrupt file system.

  Click Start

  Click on all programs

  Click Accessories, and then right-click on the command prompt.

  Select the Security tab and choose "Run as Administrator"

  Click on command prompt

  Type SFC/scannow.

  It will scan and repair any damaged operating system files.

  If you have any mail client installed such as outlook, then you can set outlook as the default e-mail client.
  If you use gmail from Internet Explorer, then you may not be able to set as the default program.
