Desktop connection remote - software to control print works not properly

Hello everyone, I'm having some difficulty in finding a solution to a very specific problem of remote desktop. For starters, the computer I can access as well as the laptop that I use to access is both running Windows 7 Pro. Also, I log in with an administrator account.

When "check printer Designer" of in Quickbooks, Checksoft software (who initially installed the printer "check Designer") is supposed to automatically open and I would like to choose a design of check printing. I am able to do this very well when you go to the local computer, so I'm a bit puzzled. Printers/programs not have the ability to open other programs in the Office remotely?

  • duplex printing works not properly

I use Adobe Acrobat Pro version 10.1.14 and a HP LaserJet P1606dn. After the last update of Adobe, double-sided printing no longer works correctly. I can still print documents on both sides, but now they only print mode "Rtrn. The two "Flip on long edge" (which is what I want) and "Flip on short edge" radio buttons are always present on the window print after I check the box 'print on both sides of the paper', but no matter what the radio button I choose, the release of the paper version is printed for the second page is made "Flip on short edge" mode. "

Before the update, everything worked fine, and I would print documents 2 / back in 'Flip on long edge' mode all the time. The bug, probably at the most recent update was found for this?

    Thank you

    Steve

    Hi Steve,.

Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat allow you to print double-sided if your printer supports this feature. The printer driver controls the options, not of Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader. Check your printer documentation to see what features your printer supports. (Double-sided printing is also called duplex, back to back, front and back, or double-sided printing).

I will recommend you to update your driver to Support HP printer, drivers, Contact and Help Forums | HP® support.

Also, refer to this document KB, double-sided printing. Acrobat, Reader.

Let me know if the problem persists.

    Kind regards

  • Remote PVR on Slimline S5380t works not properly

I have had this PC (Slimline S3580t with TV tuner) for a few weeks now and I'm having problems with the PVR remote control. It is difficult to operate reliably. Point the remote control at the Slimline PC and press on and nothing happens, I get closer and try different directions before taking command. But there are times where I try again later on, and everything works fine... I can open Windows Media Center, access Live TV, record TV, see my photos, music everything. But most the time it does not work... very frustrating

I tried already and I replaced new batteries from that the supplied remote control in and I don't see the remote red light when I press one of the buttons. Also I removed all the plastic protective covering the face of the Slimline just to make sure that nothing interferes with the IR signal.

Some info on my installation. I have the Slimline S5380t integreated in my Home Theatre with HDMI and a Mediaboard bluetooth wireless keyboard. I see no reason the keyboard bluetooth interfere with the IR signal.

Any help is appreciated. I want to get this working so I can reprogam this with my harmony remote is remote.

I finally solved this problem with the help of the TGB. The problem was the IR receiver on the Slimline overloaded with interference by my 52 "LCD TV. To resolve this problem, I cut a small strip of floppy and taped this in front of the Slimlne. This reduces interference and does the job remotely and the IR receiver can receive signals.

To make the much better fix, I took off the face of the slimline, applied the disk inside and on the IR receiver and replaced the rear. In this way the media saved on diskette are hidden. Worked like a charm!

  • I am not able to make a desktop connection remotely through Citrix

I use Citrix to connect to my desktop of my computer at home.

For the last two weeks, I had connection problems. Sometimes it works, but more often, it isn't. I get the error message says the following:

"The specified remote computer could not be found. Check that you have typed the correct computer name or IP address, and then try to connect again. »

I know I type the correct computer name because it is saved in my drop-down list. As far as I know, nothing on my desk, computer or computer at home has changed, but the problem is incompatible because sometimes it connects and sometimes is not.

Basically, the steps I take are as follows:
    1. go on citrix. [company] .com
    2. enter my username and password and click Connect
    3. click on the desktop
    4. I get a pop up message saying I chose to open launch.ica coming http://citrix of Citrix ICA connection. [company] .com. What should Firefox do with this file?
    5. I choose to open with Citrix ICA Client Engine Win32 (default)
6 then I get another pop up message saying this program has known compatibility issues and Citrix ICA is not compatible with this version of Windows. -C' is the same message that appears still, and it's always worked before.
    7. I click on the program
    8. it brings me to a generic research office running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2
    9. I then click on the Start Menu and choose desktop connection remote
    10. I select the name of the computer in my office (which is default) and click on connect

That's when I get the error message.

Anyone know what could be the problem and how can I find a solution?

  • Cannot run executable LabVIEW on desktop connection remote

I have a couple of executable files, which are compiled using a LabVIEW 2011 development system, installed on a Windows XP computer.  These programs run fine when I double-click the icon while sitting at the computer.

If I connect to the phone remotely from another Windows XP computer using Remote Desktop connection, I can use the remote computer normally except for the executables LabVIEW.

When I double-click on one or the other, I get the error message displayed in the attached file. The part of the text of the report has no useful information, just two lines that seem to be field for e-mail names.

    What gives?

Remote debugging is not a good substitute because it requires the executable file already be running.

I was able to run two executables LabVIEW on desktop connection remote to a virtual machine of Windows 7 with 2 GB of RAM, running on a MacBookPro using Parallels Desktop.

This confirms that the problem was insufficient for memory resources.

  • Desktop connection remotely from Windows 7 to windows XP Edition family

I have a laptop running windows 7.  I'm trying to use the remote desktop connection to connect to my office.  The desk top is an Imac.  I have partitioned the hard drive on the Imac and am running windows xp home edition on the side of the windows partition.  It is this 'computer' and I try to access it via the desktop connection remotely from my laptop.  Thanks in advance,

The editions of Windows Home, if XP or Vista (and maybe even 7) may not be the side server to a remote desktop connection.  They do not contain the code necessary to accept the connection.

  • Video error: the files needed to display video are not installed or not working not properly. Please restart Windows Media Center...

Please help - it's driving me crazy! I got this to work!

I am using Vista Ultimate and a connection (cat-5) ethernet to an xbox 360 as a Media Extender (via a Linksys router). I get the error of the video:
"The files needed to display video are not installed or not working not properly." Please restart Windows Media Center or restart the computer "."

I have a Happauge PVR 150 TV capture card installed, and you want to watch TV and my video files Via the Xbox 360. I can see the guide for lists of TV programs, but not to look at them without getting the message above.  I can also put in place a program to record, display the video thumbnail, but not play. Video files only will play are videos very select few years recorded only where there is.

My graphics card is an ATI 2900XT - 512 MB of ram, with the latest drivers.

I've seen a number of discussions on the web that describes the same (or similar) problem, but none of them seem to have no solution.

I had Norton Internet Security installed and it has since withdrawn because of the firewall. I had thought, it could be a firewall issue, but it is not. I'm now using the Windows Firewall for now.

I deleted and reinstalled the Xbox as an Extender media several times... no help. I have re-installed the complete drivers for the video capture card, it has not helped either. I checked and double-checked the settings on my router as well.

The xbox is set for the share on my multimedia computer. The correct files can also be programmed for sharing.

On the PC in Windows Media Center, I can view the TV programs, record programs etc etc etc all work.

Any help would be really appreciated!

  • Manual lens correction works not properly.

I am trying to correct the perspective of an image in lightroom or in the vertical and horizontal manual lens corrections are not working properly, they are extending to the image in a weird way. I used these cursors repeatedly but I don't know why sometimes, they stretch the image. Here's a video that shows the effect of cursors: Lightroom: manual lens correction works not properly - YouTube. I would like your opinion on this is that you know how I can solve this problem. Thank you

Controls LR Vertical and Horizontal Correction lens are designed to 'fix' the perspective distortion. What is the perspective of "normal"?

Normal lens - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Lenses wide angle move the vanishing points more far and telephoto lenses get the close.

    https://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Perspective_distortion_%28photography%29

LR Vertical and Horizontal controls use the focal length and camera metadata from the image file and adjust the image based on its effective focal length. A goal of 200mm if on a 1.5 crop body factor has an effective focal length of 300mm, resulting in an extreme telephoto perspective. That's why you see more "stretch" the image when you adjust the Vertical control, with a focal length lenses below)<>

The image file video YouTube has vertical converging vertical very light, slight clockwise rotation and distortion in light pad. You should be able to correct the image for parallel verticals with small values of Vertical and Rotation adjustment. I suggest using "Activate profile Corrections" (profile tab) to fix the small amount of lens distortion.

So always questions please post the image file on Dropbox or other filesharing site and I'll take a look. Thank you.

  • Video error for a single show - "video error: the files needed to display video are not installed or not working not properly.

I get a "video error: files needed to display video are not installed or not working not properly."  Please restart Media Center and / or restart the computer. »

Windows XP MCE 2005 on a PC HP Media Center m750n with 2 GB of RAM, Intel Pentium D 920 processor and more than 230 GB of free hard disk space.

The strange thing is, it only happens for a show, "Star Trek: The Next Generation" at 07:00 on channel 55 Houston.  Sometimes it is live or recorded.  Shown immediately before and immediately after about 55 works fine, as does anything on any other channel. (Although if I leave the video error for more than a few seconds, then I get an error of the tuner on the other channels until I quit Media Center and bring backup.)

Maybe my computer is a militant fan of Star Wars?

    Windows XP Media Center 2005

If this only happens in a show on a channel and passes every day but others
shows on the same channel are watchable/recordable, it is possible that a copy
never flag is set that is manifested by the video display
    error message.

I would recommend that you post this topic on the forums of http://thegreenbutton.com .

  • Login Creditials fail for desktop connection remotely using IP local. Connection via the hostname works very well in local intranet

Something happened that broke my remote desktop connection.

System-Win 7 Pro, with enabled Remote Desktop connections. (Static IP, router configured for port before any RDP to this system)

For a few years now, I had access to this system via desktop remote with all the problems. I have connected by using the name of the computer on the local network and have also connected using the public IP address with a problem. Name of user and password for one, way worked fine.

The other day there was a power outage or something, most of my systems was suddenly restarted or turned off, and my router had to be reset. Not sure if this is a coincidence of bad, but now the problem is that connection via the public IP address I get "your credentials did not work" when you try to connect. However, if I connect using the host name within the local chapter of the network of the same name to username/password work very well because they always have.

That's happened. I'm going crazy trying to figure this out. My remote user cannot log on this system.  Help, please!

Thank you for taking the time to answer, it's really appreciated. I could solve the problem. I don't know how, but if finally started working again. I have reset my network card and reset IP address static of the machine, that I tried to connect. And after some back and forth with that, all of a sudden he was still working. I was suspicious that my router was causing the trouble because the login failure was due to the fact that I've been routed to another computer, even if the rules of the if correct port forwarding. I just he blamed on the PC from Gremlins. I'll keep this info for future use. Some how all refreshed and began to work again properly.
