Desktop Windows 7 disconnects Internet after going sleep

Need help. My office disconnects internet connection on another every second or third time base when he falls asleep. Sometimes I can reconnect suite Microsoft connect steps, other no times, no luck. When the icon on the bottom toolbar to connect is blue, I can reconnect. When it is yellow I have to restart the computer to connect again. Sometimes, the error message will indicate that Local network connection cannot be found. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot for your help.

Hey Herbert,

From the description of the problem, I can understand that your computer disconnects from internet when it goes into sleep mode.

  1. Do you use the wired computer / wireless?
  2. Have made recent changes to your computer?

Your network card is currently put to sleep in sleep mode.

I suggest you follow the steps below to disable network adapter power management feature and check if it helps to solve the problem.

  1. Click Start
  2. Right click on computer
  3. Click on manage the
  4. Click Device Manager in the left pane of the window
  5. Expand the network card.
  6. Now you will see your network adapter or adapters if you have more than one. Right-click on the network component, and then click Properties.
  7. Go to the power management tab.
  8. Make sure all boxes are unchecked and click OK and restart your computer.

You can also check the items below, and check if it helps.

  • Desktop windows Manager seems dull after reinstall. Maybe lack file... help!

    Hello!!!

I have recently completely reinstalled vista because of some problems with my computer, some were viruses, and some were inherent problems with vista itself.

In any case, since I reloaded vista, everything works well except that my desktop window manager is not as flash as it used to be, he simpy evokes the old menu switching with icons in a box you had with previous versions of windows. There is no time window real smalll showing what's on the program when you go over it on the taskbar and there is not cool to dynamic 3D display of windows when you alt + tab. It works but it seems monotonous and boring. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this. Am I a file missing or that I simply have to change the settings.

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated thanks.

    Graeme

p.s. The reason I have vista realoaded was due to the old thing error 0x80070005 who wouldn't let me install service pack 2. After weeks of trying everything I read this http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2006/09/04/739820.aspx it's totally the best explanation and the only solution if everyone knows this problem. Bravo guys!

You should do the reinstallation of Vista:

Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

Always get a your hardware drivers directly from the manufacturer, not through Windows Update.

    See you soon.

  • Windows 7 is extremely slow going sleep and wake.

I timed it the other day; It has taken almost five minutes for Windows enter the mode 'sleep'. I tried to turn it back on, and it took literally five minutes before the logon screen appears. She does on a regular basis, and it starts to become very irritating. I tried to update my drivers, but Device Manager claims they are up-to-date. If it helps, I run the 64-bit version on a HP laptop with 4 GB of ram. The processor is an AMD Turion 64 X 2 TL - 60 to 2 GHz. I can provide more information if necessary. • Desktop Compaq with Windows 7 no reconnect to the internet after the awakening of the mode standby

Info on the computer: Compaq SG3-150SC desktop computer, processor is AMD Athlon (TM) II x 2 215 with 2, is 7 MHz, bios American Megatrends Inc. 6.01, 23.4.2010 SMBIOS version 2.6, RAM is 4 GB total. OS is Windows 7 64 bit edition Home premium + service pack 2.

    ON THE PROBLEM

This problem has happened recently. Once I turn on my desktop mode computer "sleep", it cannot reconnect to the Internet and I use only cable internet which computer is connected via ethernet to the cable-internet-modem/router cable. The computer seems to be able to view all available networks, but she was never able to connect to the Internet (after waking up from sleep). At the same time that the computer seems to have slowed a lot, I have no idea why, but I guess he's trying to reconnect to the internet and this process of reconnection is devouring its resources.

I had other problems with this computer during this past year the half, but will not go into great detail with them now. These problems have been losing some dll. file that was ment to display the Win 7 great/normal devices connected to the computer, and a total system crashes / freezes after having updated graphics drivers AMD ATI Radeon 3000. However these problems seem to have disappeared after Windows 7 service pack 2 update. Also, I scanned the computer several times with a well-known and apreciated overall software security, no virus or other major security problems have been found.

The only problem that seems to have the computer right now is just this question, I am trying to solve.

Any suggestions to check and make what?

    Hello:

A few suggestions, you can try...

    1. install the latest driver W7 ethernet of the Realtek RTL8105E ethernet adapter to your PC.

Download, unzip and run the application configuration of the 2nd on the Web page below.

    http://www.Realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?langid=1 & PNid = 14 & PFid = 7 & Level = 5 & Conn = 4 & DownTypeID = 3 & getdown = false

    2. go in Device Manager, expand network adapters device category.

Left click on the Realtek ethernet card.

Click the power management tab, and uncheck the box to allow windows to turn off this device to save power.

  • Desktop Windows 7 goes black after a period of inactivity and the user accesses their machine again

    Hello

Wonder if anyone can offer help for an unusual problem?

Users have Windows 7 machines that all have a background theme to display... Blue with a company Logo.

User's for lunch and leave their posts after a period of time and/or powersaver screensaver comes in... all normal at this stage.

After an hour, they return to their machine and they move the mouse/tap a key and bring the machine back (excuse my terminology :)) and the office went from the default theme for a black desktop computer... Icons/Applications behave very well.

    The temporary workaround is:

    1. open a session and on windows to restore the office back to normal.

    or...

    2. I do a restart of the "Desktop window Manager Session Manager" service that puts the office back to normal as well.

Has anyone seen cela and worked a way how to make a permanent fix... have struggled on Google because the answers I find are around the screen savers that ISN'T the problem.

    See you soon,.

  • Firefox 36.0.4 does not go to the internet after the release of sleep

My FF won't go to the internet after the resumption of sleep in specific situations to my use of power cord. I have Windows 7 on my laptop. I'm using FireFox 36.0.4. I searched the problem and found a person of 2013 with exactly the problem and I can reproduce my problem the exact way of sames like this person mentioned in their support of Mozilla question. Unfortunately, there is no effective solution to this problem. My FF fails to answer some specific situations:

It seems to be when I have my laptop plugged in while using FF. If I close the lid to put to sleep, when I reopen the lid it later, that it does not connect to any websites. I can click on things on the page, so it is not completely frozen. I can search on google, but it never connects to a page. It has circular availability icon and 'connection '. It is not stop search or give an error message. I have to close off FF and completely shut down my computer and restart to clear the problem. If I try just close Mozilla and again I get an error message "already underway but enforcement does not." the old process of FF must be closed before opening a new window", but I do not have an open window and regardless of how many times I close and try to reopen, I get this message even; If I don't have the power supply cord is plugged in, I don't think not that I have this problem.

I met the same problem, but it happens on a desktop running windows 7 and not another desktop running windows 7 so I think that there is another question. I can sometimes get around simply refresh the page he fell asleep on with the arrow curved in the address bar but would like to permanent an easy solution.

  • Windows 8 black screen after Login or the wake from sleep / hibernate and flickering screen

    Hello

I have something of a nightmare with my desktop computer running Windows 8 x 64.

I did a bit of cleaning, unplug all cables, etc. and then reconnected everything later.

Since then, I've known the following questions: -.

After starting and going through the connection, I am faced with a black screen.  The monitor turns on, but there is no pointer.  However, if I clicked at random, it would open a Windows App out of the splash screen, which would then become visible.  If I moved the mouse to the bottom left, to get the splash screen, he would immediately go black screen on me.  He seemed to be refusing to display the splash screen.

With "display" black screen, I found I could get the Task Manager (Ctrl, Alt, Del) upward and there could access the desktop.  It would then execute as usual, but if I let it go into hibernation or even just having the power of the screen down, it would be black screen again, and I have to use the 'trick' Task Manager to retrieve the desktop computer.

Sometimes, using the Manager tasks does not always, because he'll sweep between the black screen and the desktop, alternating every 5-6 seconds.  I found through the process from the Task Manager, it stops doing this.

Now, I did a Windows 8 regenerate, without any change in the problems.  I made sure the AMD drivers have been completely updated (they were) and also physically checked all cables and cables are properly connected and the GPU / RAM etc are properly placed.

There is no error message displayed at any time. I have also disabled Fast Boot, nothing helps.

I examined a faulty monitor, but it worked fine for an hour or two at a time, until I got let go sleep or put into hibernation, and I'm at square one.  It would of course be a faulty GPU, or even a PSU failure, but I'm not convinced the symptoms are pointing to them.

For me, the fact it does not display the Windows 8 start screen after that Login or Wake Up is important.  It makes me think that Windows may interfere with the display in some way?

I can, if necessary, provide DXDIAG etc, and I "m hoping someone will have an idea of what goes wrong.  I have spent ages going through Google and others, but cannot find a solution to my problem.

Thanks for any help or suggestion you may have.

    Conrad.

It solved!  Traded my monitor cable and all problems solved.  Guess he had a break or something in one of the lines.

    Thanks anyway.
  • HP Media Center m1050e PC - unable to connect to the internet after upgrade from XP to Windows 7

My desktop PC with Windows 7 will not connect internet after the transition from XP to Windows 7 Home Premium.  This necessary upgrade actually recording files and a new install of Windows 7.  When getting help from support of the router to load a new driver, I get an error message "Realtek network Contoller is not found".  They say it's a question that HP will help solve.  Can anyone help?

    You are the very welcome.

You should be able to do.

I think that the best thing to do would be to buy an external usb 10/100 LAN RJ-45 adapter.

But, if you want to get an internal card, then you can get a PCI network adaper to enter one of the PCI slots available on the motherboard.

  • WRT54GS Wireless Router recently started disconnecting Internet connection after 9 months

Hello, I have read some and see that it is a problem common but of are to be decided.

    I have a Lynksys WRT54GS with the latest Firmware update v7.2 27 July 2009 (FW_WRT54GSv7.2_7.2.07.013_EN_20090727)

I ran 2 desktop computers as well as my DVR security by the security cameras for remote monitoring, also portable hook upward wireless sometimes as well without any problem using this router for over 9 months now with no problems until the last few days... I never log out and leave it on 24/7 for 9 months without problem and now recently I had to pull on the power cord from the back of the router and reconnect it to re power on the router to establish an internet connection.

Now the last 3 days the router loses its internet connection each monutes a few... hours... the time it disconnects are random moments and I have the programs I need to run all day but can't because the router loses its connections...

I applied the firmware again... re factory - configure the router... rebooted the computer... tried cloning the MAC address... all seem to be doing nothing... the same problem still exists.

All of the minutes or hours so it disconnects the interent.

I ran the office computer directly to the DSL Modem and I'm online very well with a desktop computer without disconnections for hours and hours (18hrs to date is not a problem), so I know this isn't the access provider. I had this problem I believe before with a previous Lynksys router and then bought it and now after this short period it seems to do the same thing again with this one. What a pain in the but.

    All solutions and more...

    Re application firmware... then

factory re set the router... then

re - connect computers as if it were a new router... the MAC address cloning? Geezus... it must be one simple solution other then buy another brand router.

    Thanks in advance...

What is the IP address, find the modem directly...? Connect the computer directly to the modem and check the ip address? What is the ip address, you get the router...?

Try the following settings on the router and check the connection...

-Change the channel to 11-2 wireless, 462 GHz

-Under the Advance wireless settings tab, change the tag at 50, Fragmentation threshold to 2304, interval RTS threshold to 2304

I can add that the only function I do is CTRL + ALT + DELETE to pull up the Task Manager, or turn off the computer. Task Manager shows the CPU repeatedly hitting 100% usage before that office finishes loading.

    Update:

After leaving my computer on and unattended for 1 1/2 hours, I came back to find the black screen with the exception of the taskbar at the bottom. The start menu and the desktop still do not work, but I can access the internet using the Google Chrome button on the taskbar.

I found a post from another user who now recommend the SHIFT key while clicking on restart. YEA! I have a desktop computer that allows me to click it and don't flash on and outside! Now to see how to use Windows 10...
