Determine the use of the instance

We have a replicated environment up and running, was designed to provide a location for performing low priority queries in order to discharge this load on one server other than the database of production.

I am asked to determine how often and to what extent, this database is used. Essentially, if it is grossly underutilized, we seek to get rid of it, or find another solution. Is there a common approach for the collection of these types of settings? Should I be poking around in OEM for that? Or, should I be building something that periodically seizes the usage information and stores it in an array?

Thank you
-= Chuck

I could something put in place with the triggers of opening and closing of session and eventually connected the track time and gets consistent from closing session or something.

You can do it.

I was wondering if there was something that we already had.

  • Delete the instance of DMZ

Hi, I made a mistake when adding an instance of the demilitarized zone on Beehive application tier server and all web services now do not work (zimbra, bcentral, etc.). I would like to delete this instance of the dmz, but I run in trouble with the following command:
    delete_dmz_home_instance - id servername.domain.com

    I get the following error:
Object System (id = 467..., type = oracle.ocs.management.model.Server) cannot be converted to type oracle.ocs.management.model.UnmangedBeehiveInstance.

So I think that the - id option that I use is not valid. How can I determine the instance id of the demilitarized zone that should be used when you remove it using this command? There is nothing in the documentation that I could find which indicated how can I get this code.

    Thank you.

What went wrong in the addition of the DMZ instance? There was an error when adding, it, or is - it just the post-config which had problems? You remove to add it again, or simply not want you that it all?

What is the behavior that you see with the customers, exactly? Note that you will access clients via the DMZ instance, after installation of the DMZ and virtual server names will want to match this name of instance of DMZ (or virt name that you have linked to it). Which may require an update VIRTUAL server ServerName property.

The ID is the ID of the component of the instance of DMZ, which resemble 12345678-9abc-Catherine-hijk-lmnopqrs and is using "beectl list_components", subject installation of DMZ was enough success to add the instance of DMZ for the configuration:

    beectl list_components - type UnmanagedBeehiveInstance

Note that you should be able to remove the DMZ instance using the configWizard of the hive, too.

Thanks for the pointer wrt the docs, we'll make sure that it is updated.

  • How can I determine the type of image to be used before loading an image?

I'm developing an application using VB 2005 which measures two 8-bit or 16-bit image files. When I saw the picture, I find that I have to set the type of image the image buffer before playback of the image in it. For example, if I read a 16-bit image in a buffer of 8 bits, the image is truncated. I guess I could read the image in a 16-bit buffer and retype it if the pixel values are less than 255.

Is there a better way to do it? Can I determine the number of bits of an image before loading in a buffer?

    Thank you!

    Hi Steverino,

Olivia is incorrect... VDM has a function called GetFileInfo which does just what you want. It only reads the header of the image but does not load the entire image in memory. It will give you various properties such as the bit depth.

I think that on the new .NET support, there can exist here: NationalInstruments.Vision.Analysis.Algorithms.GetFileInformation.

Thanks to the ICB and our legacy of .NET support, it's probably a similar name.

  • Determine the number of traditional DAQ hardware using Labview.

    Hello

    Anyone can answer the question:

Regarding materials traditional DAQ, for example the DMM OR-4060, how

can I programmatically determine the number of device which can be seen in MAX?

With the help of Labview 8.5, I looked into the following function libraries:

    NOR-DMM

    VISA

    NOR-ModInst

None of the libraries above seem to provide access the number of traditional DAQ hardware

    property, which is automatically assigned.

    Background:

    I have a 18 PXI chassis containing 2 DMM, in housing 3 and 14.

The DMM may be a mixture of type OR-4060 or NOR-4070.

The system is controlled by a Teststand sequence employing IVI - DMM

    steps.

When you set the IVI logical name step, I am referring to IVI device defined Sessions

    Max - rutime determined.

Labview VISA functions using I can determine the model, i.e. 4060 or 4070.

Because the DMM just locate into the slots 3 or 14, then the devices NOR-4070

are accessible using the following descriptors of resources: PXI1Slot3 or

    PXISlot14.

    (The 4070 is compatible DAQmX.)

So for devices OR-4070, I can predefine 2 Sessions of IVI device, knowing

It will be sufficient for all occasions, when I run my Teststand sequence, which will be

determine what device session to use at run time.

But I'm stuck for the NOR-4060.

At the Session of the device, I have to give a descriptor of resource the following

format: DAQ::x (where x is the device number)

I could create device 18 sessions each reference to a different DAQ::x, but to select

the good pair during execution, I would need to programmatically determine the device

number, i.e. the value of x.

    Where my question.

The closest I came to a solution was an entry of the Knowledge Base that said that the

Assigned device number would be the same as the slot number, providing the

Number of the device had not previously configured manually.

Unfortunately, our device numbers have been changed manually and maybe in the future.

    All popular solutions.

    Gary.

    Hi Gary,.

Good afternoon and I hope that your well today.

Thanks for your post and I want to help you solve your problems.

I don't think there is just a function that you can use to identify and collect information on all cards with your. For traditional DAQ devices in particular I suggest using the Information.vi of DAQ devices get.

If you look at this link,

SAL posted an example VI entitled, find dev trad.vi.

You can get information such as serial number, Dev name and the Base address.

The assistance of the respective drivers to collect information you could generate an array of strings with the information that you need all the slots.

  • Determine the NIF port used by the HEART when it is configured in a port channel

I recently saw an excellent video of live Cisco UCS troubleshooting performance that showed how to track traffic network within Cisco UCS. The speaker made a comment however, to determine that NIF is used by a high HEAT when port-channels are used between the FEX and FI there are different commands to run. You will need to determine the outcome of hash-load balancing. Unfortunately, he never entered what were these commands.

Then when we have pinned port-channel instead of HIFs and NIFs veths, what commands will indicate which way is used?

    Matt,

    You can use this command:

    B (nxos) # sh port-channel - balance load< this="" will="" tell="" you="" the="" load="" balance="" method="">

If you use source-dest-ip as in my case, you can use this command:

B (nxos) # sh port-channel - the balance of the charge-transfer interface port-channel ID vlan ID x.x.x.x y.y.y.y dst - ip, src - ip and it will show you something like this:

Lack of params will be substituted by 0.

Algorithm to balance the load on the switch: source-dest-ip
    crc8_hash: 109 port id coming out: EthernetX / Y  < this="" is="" what="" you="" are="" looking="" for="">
Param (s) used to balance the load to calculate:
    DST - ip: y.y.y.y
    SRC - ip: x.x.x.x
    DST - mac: 0000.0000.0000
    CBC - mac: 0000.0000.0000

For the blade, depends on which the active vNIC is, for the FEX, depends on pinning, based on the server is located in the blade slot.  Strange servers go through odd links and same servers through the same ports.

  • Determine the maximum use of the processor for a virtual computer in the custom user interface

I want to determine the maximum use of the processor for a virtual computer in the custom user interface.  How can I do this?

If I use a supermetric, there is no kind of attribute under CPU called "maximum use.

Certainly, you get points for a long question! Although to be fair, it's probably my fault to feed you so much information to digest at once.

    1. I would say you can do two ways visually. Use the operations > detail view for 'normal ranges' use the upper limit of the normal range as your typical max. You want an absolute peak, add the metric of a graph or observe that highlight high and low watermarks.

    2. There are a lot of ways to display data, but if you want to display a single metric over a period of time, we could use the following widgets [on top of my head]:

    Top - N analysis

    Weather map

    Analysis of distribution of data

Among these, I think of your desire for a "peak". Who you want real value, which eliminates the weather map. Then, I think that the concept of a 'Summit' and what is the best thing, I think that the 95th percentile... then I came with the widget of data distribution. The decision is ultimately yours given your particular use case.

    3. you can have it apply to several virtual machines - it's just a widget capable of being an independent provider or receiving widget (metrics, DO NOT choose to select resources). Each resource/metric will add to the widget and you can remove them if you like after it is added. You can certainly all the time you visit... It is date and time standard options you have in all the other widgets chart. With the widget data distribution, you want as much time as possible to get an accurate histogram of the cycles of workload.

    4. This is similar to the question above. You can certainly add parameters of individual resource or a DM that summarizes or AVG groups of resources. And as above, the delay is configurable, along with the other graph widgets.

    5. it's part of Q4 - you can sumN or avgN up to any number of resources with a SM, then discovers that SM in the widget of data distribution. When I said container, I mean an application, group resource pool... all that acts as a container parent within the vCOps.

    6. that's correct, SMs calc using data collected last points... aka single period of time. When you are referring to the longest period, I gave you a few examples of the attributes that are composed of several periods of time which are calculated and created by the adapter for VMware vCenter behvaior. In this case, you have the GVA 15 min CPU 1.5; These specific simple mobile GVA can be specific OR a copy using SMs. Next, you will have the chance is to find a way to distribute what you need through a widget [at that time].

    7. the distribution of data is not for export, it is for Visual functions. If you want the data in CSV, just use a typical chart of metrics and export to a csv and calc your own pics, avg, 95th, whatever.

    8. This is a bit of a mix of all your questions, put in place.

You are right, if you added those 3 VMs, then calc was the 95th of the AVG. Like Q7, you would not export the data of the distribution of data because the raw data points are not - you do not pass the metric to a metric graphics standard and export via csv.

I don't know why it's called "global" frequency - seems a little strange to me, although you could call it although it is a bit of a mouthful, I'm not sure. But, strictly speaking, what is the frequency of the amplitude higher at this moment on the screen. It isn't really a sign you measure; It's a single FFT 'slice', which raises even more questions, as the sector size determines the resolution and therefore the accuracy of the result in any case.

    Hi people

So I'm working with Premiere Pro CS6 make a video montage of a Minister of my friends. Over pieces of the video, I was just overlap citations and whatnot. I would like to achieve consistency in always making sure that they are included on the same location on the screen. So I thought that a simple way to do it would be to determine the pixel size of the sequence. And the report of properties folder that my sequence is 1440 x 1080. I thought I could just create and manipulate images of this exact size and drop them to the exact location.

The problem is that when I create an image of this size and drop it in PP, right monitor shows the image with areas of pillarboxed video on each side of it. The image certainly seems to be on-site with the altitude, but the width is off and I don't know why?

So what is the explanation here? Certainly it seems that properties of the sequence are at odds with what this area right monitor in PP.

You can specify the PAIR of titles that you create:

    .

Basically, HD anamorphic uses rectangular pixels

in order to crush the 16: 9 image in a setting of 4 x 3.

    First use-squishes' back pixels in 16 x 9.

If your film the layer source is 1440 x 1080 (1.333).

    you are right in a sequence of 1440 x 1080 (1.333)...

you just need to create the corresponding aspect / securities.

If you use another application to create your .png images

    I'd be inclined to 1920 x 1080 (1.0).

This will suit your anamorphic sequence regardless of the BY.

    Thank you

Sure. You almost go in your message: a scalar subquery . Just put brackets around the subquery:

    SELECT RPAD ( last_name
              , (
                 SELECT MAX (LENGTH (last_name)) + 5
FROM user_tbl -- USER is not a good table name
                )
              , '-'
              ) AS padded_last_name
    FROM user_tbl
    ;

Scalar subqueries in SQL are like tape in your garage in canvas: they are used for thousands of different things and open, maybe 1% of them. Usually, there are better ways to achieve the same results, such as the analytical functions:

    SELECT RPAD ( last_name
              , 5 + MAX (LENGTH (last_name)) OVER ()
              , '-'
              ) AS padded_last_name
    FROM user_tbl
    ;

Still another way is to make the subquery and then join his game as if it were a table of results:

    WITH got_max_length AS
    (
SELECT MAX (LENGTH (last_name)) AS max_length
         FROM user_tbl
    )
    SELECT RPAD ( u.last_name
              , m.max_length + 5
              , '-'
              ) AS padded_last_name
    FROM user_tbl u
    CROSS JOIN got_max_length m
    ;
