Device not recognized - the firmware update does not work

I opened my package and am trying to get up and running.

I have a 5 or 6 year, PC - computer Dell Pentium 1.8 ghz running Windows XP - SP 3 and Windows Media Player version 11.

Plug in my Fuze v02.01.09A - I get a peripheral grateful error

When I in MSC - my computer does not recognize device

If I try to run the Sansa update - I get an error message

"' The following error has occurred: *.

Followed by an error message

Next, I get a window all over again.

This day - the only thing I could do is get a few FM stations with a fairly weak signal.  The sound quality is good - but right now I have a $80.00 hockey puck who isn't even the right shape.

-In addition, the unit had a load of 3/4 out of the box - and I've not been able to get the charge up at all - after be plugged for 2 hours to a USB port on the back of the computer.  I saw the bar to drop slightly to 10 minutes of FM radio listening.

You have access to another computer? Try it may be your USB media. Try changing the USB ports on your pc. If its 5-6 years, you can have a port goes wrong.

  • E260 keeps restarting, firmware update does not help

    Hey everybody

So I'm trying to fix my Sansa e260 friends and I'll get in trouble. When you turn it on, it just continuously restarts itself, I've included a video of what he does. http://Tinypic.com/r/2wq78jp/6

I have already searched through this forum and tried the firmware update, after the update exactly the same thing just keep to themselves. I don't know where to go from here, any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Formatting the device using the Recovery Mode.  This erases all the materials for the device, but it's locked up in any case.

For this procedure, first of all we have this word from our sponsor:

In Recovery Mode, do not USE NOT THE COMMAND FORMAT WINDOWS ON THE PARTITION RESERVED.  Use the trick of ONLY sansa.fmt folder!

Well, here are the steps (features of version 1 only):

    • Start with your OFF e200.
    • Slide the HOLD switch to the right (orange list).
    • Open a Windows Explorer on your PC.  Use my computer or [Windows key] + E.
    • Press and hold the REC button on your e200 while plugging in the USB cable.
    • The Sansa will specify "Welcome to Recovery Mode, type MSD."
    • On the PC, you will see a new device labeled 16 MB FORMAT.
    • Double-click this icon to open the reserved partition.  Yet once, DO NOT format using the available Windows command!
    • Right-click in this partition and select new folder.
    • Rename it sansa.fmt folder and you're ready!
    • With the help of remove it safely function (icon at the bottom of your screen in the taskbar), eject the Sansa.
    • Slide the HOLD switch to the left.
    • Try turning your restored e200 once she gets in shape automatically.

Let us know how it goes!

  • Wan interrupts the connection after the firmware update

Looks like the latest firmware upgrade is the source of the problems.

I've just updated my timecapsule 1 TB of first generation version 7.6.7 and my 3 TB timecapsule new version 7.7.7

Both are connected to the router of the provider of Internet services and extend the network even in my house.

WiFi is stable until the upgrade, but now the connection is lost every few minutes or seconds.

Both versions are later to the respective timecapsules.

I end up having to downgrade if no solution is found.

I powered the two market still nothing does not. Redefine the network and tried both hidden and not hidden, yet once nothing doesn't.

Any ideas on what is causing the problem?

Well, since nobody seems to have an explanation, and Apple are not out with firmware update after 7.7.7 and 7.6.7 I decided to downgrade the firmware to the previous version. I now run version 7.7.3 on the new 3 Tb Time Capsule and 7.6.3 on the 1st Gen Time Capsule. So far, the network is stable. Using WiFi Explorer Ii see that they use channel 6 and 8 respectively. Signal is strong and no dropouts have taken place so far. Hope the issue is resolved in the next firmware update.

As I read in another post: firmware update does not solve a problem, you didn't. However, it can create a problem that you didn't.

  • TimeCapsule downgrades WiFi 2.4 GHz after applying the firmware update v7.6.7

After applying the firmware update v7.6.7 free WiFi to TimeCapsule is now 2.4 Ghz instead of 5 Ghz.

It was the update of the firmware with certainty that has made this... no doubt about it:

    • My mouse bluetooth interference notice when my MacBook is connected to WiFi 2.4 Ghz;
    • Before the update, everything is OK
    • After updating, my mouse mouse start jittering
    • < alt-click > WiFi icon in the menu bar confirms: the connection is now 2.4 Ghz

Restart to e TM Mo doesn't change anything.

In the TC WiFI options tried to put another name to the network successfully, but only 5 GHz can not connect to it: timeout error every time.

Tried the hard reset of TC and reconfigure the WiFi... the same result, but with a difference:

    • Setting an SSID separated for 5 GHz connection (in the WiFi options) has now created a network I can access.
    • However, this is not the best solution... I don't want 2 SSID.

It is not the first time Apple breaks things with updates... and I see people move away from Apple to this kind of situations.

I also had bad experiences with OS updates lately and postpone the as much as possible.

The problem is that I can't go back... or can I?

    Any help is welcome.

Any suggestions will be helpful on how to solve this problem.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Ravi,

I guess you have to download the Pack of the device if you want to use 9.4 (1) SR1

    9.4 release notes (1) SR1 say that

Before installing the version, check that the device Package Cisco Unified Communications Manager is installed

    http://www.Cisco.com/c/en/us/TD/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/6900_series/firmware/9-4-1-SR1/Release_Notes/P690_BK_6AA8901D_00_6900-series-release-notes-9_4_1sr1.PDF

Now if I see the Compatibility Pack device matrix, it's for CUCM 8.5 (1), but in your case, call Manager version is 8.0.3.20000 - 2

  • IX2 - dl does not start after the firmware update

I bought my ix2 - dl last three days ago and then she starting with 2 new readers just to test it worked using Mac and Windows then a firmware update version 4.0.8.23976 appeared available via the web interface.

Is it possible to install the old version of work or reset the dx2 another way?

    Hi @bemused59,

The message on the "Home" of the NETGEAR engineering page indicates that the device you are using does not have a wireless adapter, or you turn off / disabled. If you are using a laptop, it is possible that there a physical wireless switch that must be turned on and off. I recommend the manual for it.

  • WRT350N firmware update does not

Hi, I just got a unused WRT350N router.

I had a few problems getting the installer on my MAC (OSX 10.5.6), but it turns out that they have problems using Firefox have been resolved when I started using Safari. However, I still have a problem unsettled with the upgrade of the firmware...

I want to upgrade the firmware the 2.0.10 original to the most recent available from 2.0.19. I downloaded this on the support page, which gives me a text from the Readme file and a. IMG file which I assume is the firmware file (all the instructions I found imply there should be one.) BIN file)

I connected my router to the MAC using a wired connection and followed the instructions to upgrade the firmware (using the.) IMG file), followed the steps of rest (including using the hardware reset button and the option of software factory default values), but when the router comes back to the top still says its firmware 2.0.10.

I don't get any error message and have noticed that at the end of the upgrade it does NOT display the «update is successful, restart...» "message.

I have lived this several times with the same results. Any ideas please?

    I thank in advance.

Don't worry have solved it myself!

I printed off manual and found an obscure reference to Web pages only work with IE and Netscape and so given my previous issues with Firefox I looked up an old install of Netscape and hey presto the update worked first - didn't even have to reset the router! :-)

I hope can be useful to someone else at somepoint.

PS. I know this is a 'reasonably' old router by today's standards, but I question what type of programming is sitting behind the pages that it only works with IE & Netscape! I realize that you cannot predict what are the browsers will be used in the future, but come on!

  • LaserJet Pro M1217nfw booting is not after the firmware update

    Hello

    My configuration:

HP LaserJet Pro M1217nfw (USB connection)

MacBook Pro (mid-2012) running OS X Lion 10.7.5

    My Odyssey:

The HP scanning software included on the CD is rudimentary to say the least. In particular, it don't will not let me scan multiple pages and combine them into a single PDF file.

Tried to scan printing & scanning with ImageCapture, an excerpt, and the pane in system preferences: they see any of the MFP.

Uninstalled HP, reset printing system software, downloaded and installed http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907 according to the instructions on http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Networking-and-Wireless/Mac-Lion-Scanning-Multiple-Docs/m-p/159... no luck.

Downloaded and installed the latest HP software http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL32660/Im-80903-6/LJM1130_M1210_MFP_Full_Solution.dmg

Installation goes OK, then asked the installer to update the firmware of the printer and I foolishly said yes.

Result: the printer will not be in service longer. At the start, it displays "then to initialize... "with the Green (ready) and amber (caution) of fires, then LCD turns off, then"initializing... ". "all over again, to infinity. Needless to say that the HP software or the Firmware utility see the device more and in system preferences, it is listed as "offline". In a Word, it is bricked.

Of course, I could use some good advice. Thanks in advance.

  • OfficeJet pro l7780 wireless works do not since the firmware update

Is there a restore utility for an update of the firmware?  I have updated the firmware on my Officejet pro L7780 AIO hoping to solve a problem of scanning; However wireless capability has since stopped working.  I tried a static ip address - disconnect the power supply, check that the SSID and password, etc..

The wireless network Test report page. RADIO ON IS PASS, RADIO WORK = FAIL, PASS = NOT CONNECTED ETHERNET CABLE.

The previous Firmware before I upgraded was: R0040xxNxeN0; The version of the installed software package now is: R2011NxNxeN0.

The printer works with a straight ethernet cable to my router Netgear Rangemax Wireless model WPN824v2. However, it seems that I can only access the printer from my laptop through my desktop computer (which is networked via ethernet to the router) wireless - and the desktop computer must be powered.

(PS; Update does not solve problem of scanning)

    Hello world

I increased my support to management and after having crossed some tests additional etc, it was determined that my problem is, indeed, a hardware failure.  HP offered me a replacement refurb for $245 includes taxes & shipping in both directions, as I mentioned in my last thread, they don't sell parts for this model, that's why I decided the lesser of two evils... spend more money & buy new or take the offer... I take the offer.

    Thanks for your help.
