Device will not work on VLAN

Using a switch sg300-52, I created two VLAN that share a port of access to the internet. All features original, added to the VLAN work correctly and I therefore believe that them VLANS are configured correctly. I added a new office and an old laptop to the VLAN and none worked. I could get my computer to work by activating the VLAN tagging in the network card. The laptop is 5 years old and it doesn't have such a setting in the network card. There are 2 other devices that share the same port with the laptop and both work properly. My conclusion is that the laptop does not support tagging VLAN. Y at - it a way to configure the switch to account for this?

Hi Thomas,

I wonder if something as simple as an access-list (or filtering) will do what you want to do.  The only problem is that devices which must limit must have set the parameters IP. (or statically defined through DHCP)

Here is an example of a list of acess that I took of my SF300 - 48P, note that the access list (ACLs) must be attached to a switch for monitor port or filter packetings in the coming switch to an IP host port.  In other words, the acl check matches the model, in the case below on the IP addresses on the infiltration in the switch port.

Since the new release of firmware version 1.1, we now able to paste in an accessible via telnet, SSH or console (CLI) command line interface when the switch is in Setup mode. You can get into configuration mode by typing the command "config."

Changes in the CLI are immediately reflected in the GUI.  If you do not the following access list, the last command could be 'write' save the configuration in the memory of switches.

Note: If you are not comfortable with the use of the CLI to GUI to create the following lists of access and ACE and link the ACL to a switch port.

I have in the example below, established a list of access to two ports, ports fastethernet1 and gigabitethernet1.

Please note: ACL uses subnet reverse masking, which normally means, you must specify a specific IP host by the next note;

192.168.20.5 255.255.255.255 with market back, this mask must be set as 192.168.20.5 0.0.0.0

As a packet enters a port of a host IP switch, the access list is inspected from top to bottom, as soon as a match is found, the access list as you exit.  There is normally an implicit deny at the end of an access list, that's why my last statement in two access lists should allow any source IP address goes to any other destination IP wise the IP host might not get to the router WAN and Internet.

The first IP address in the list below is the source IP and the mask and the second IP address is the destination IP address and the mask.

room200 extended IP access list

IP 192.168.20.62 enable 0.0.0.0 192.168.20.100 0.0.0.0

IP 192.168.20.62 enable 0.0.0.0 192.168.20.63 0.0.0.0

refuse the 192.168.20.62 ip 0.0.0.0 192.168.20.0 0.0.0.255

allow an ip

output

The following applies to the access list for a switch port

interface fastethernet1

Service-acl input room200

output

room225 extended IP access list

IP 192.168.20.63 enable 0.0.0.0 192.168.20.100 0.0.0.0

IP 192.168.20.63 enable 0.0.0.0 192.168.20.62 0.0.0.0

refuse the 192.168.20.63 ip 0.0.0.0 192.168.20.0 0.0.0.255

allow an ip

output

The following applies to the access list for a switch port

interface gigabitethernet1

Service-acl input room225

output

It's the best way to contral access in this vlan and the filter will run at wire speed.

Best regards, Dave

  • CD\DVD will not work. Vista Home premium, 64-bit. Message says: Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

I downloaded the drivers needed from the Dell site and the burner will not work. The computer was again in March 2009. Not sure where the drivers should be located. I downloaded on: win\syswow64\drivers\afc.sys. I've looked everywhere and tried to find a dialog box offering the option "update drivers" for this device. Could not find a way to do except Dell and that doesn't seem to work. The 64-bit system has no 'Device Manager' that I can find. When I look at the properties of the burner, the link to "find a solution" is not highlighted.

Try the miracle solution at this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060 but before you uninstall all third-party software (example: Nero, Roxio, iTunes). You can reinstall your software after you reboot your system. Please let us know if this helped you. Make it a great day!

    Hi Mike,.

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

Since it has been designed to work with Vista, XP & 2000, it may not work in Windows 7 due to incompatibility problem. Therefore, I suggest you to visit the Web site of the manufacturer of the hard drive and download the driver available for the latest operating system.

If the driver is not available for Windows 7, download the compatible driver for the previous version of Windows and I install it in compatibility mode.

    a. do the driver installation file right click and select Properties and then tap or click on the compatibility tab.

    b. check in the run this program in compatibility mode for: box.

    c. press or click the menu drop down and select a previous operating system, and then tap or click OK.

    d. try to install the driver and verify.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

  • internal card reader must be disabled and then enabled in before Device Manager it will not work properly.

I check my computer and it shows that it is there, but when I double click on it to open it I get a message saying: Please insert the SD card. I installed a different card reader, but another did the same thing. This leads me to think it's a matter of Windows.
I tried to do a repair install, but it ends and said that the upgrade has failed?
Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem.

I am running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. It is a Renesas controller and I use the 2.1.28.0 with firmware driver 4015.

I'm not sure but I may have found the problem. I see where a guy here was having a similar problem and it was caused by Acronis. I recently installed Acronis 2012. I have been lucky to uninstall, but I will update this post when I do.  He was also running windows 7-64 bit on a motherboard ASUS!

Acronis was the problem.  I uninstalled Acronis and now my card reader works as it should.  Strange!

Here are the current models of Brother products which are supported.

If your model is supported drivers will be on this page. Otherwise, contact the manufacturer and see if they have a driver for your printer from specific model for this OS. Otherwise, you may need to downgrade to a previous operating system from a backup Time Machine or a downgrade for compatibility, if it is not offered by the brother of your device to model on a computer running OS 10.11.

Apparently not all printers DCP mind are compatible, but most that were compatible with the OS 10.10.x always conform to their page.

  • Portege M750 Win7 64 bit Wireless Manager (3G) will not work

I can't TOSHIBA Wireless Manager (3G) to work in a new installation of Win 7 64 bit.

I did a test installation of Windows 7 64 - bit on and old SATA hard drive and checked TOSHIBA Wireless Manager would work. He did.

I then did a fresh install of Windows 7 64 - bit on a new Crucial C300 Real SSD 256Go.

The new facility with the Crucial SSD is not very successful... The operation "stop and restart" does not - the closing not always power off completely and you must push the switch down to.

Sometimes the SSD does not start - you enter the password of the BIOS but then nothing happens. Sometimes you turn off the power and remove the battery before as the startup disk.

But the biggest problem is that the (3G) Wireless Manager will not work. The application opens and indicates that "died" - which it is impossible that I use WiFi to post this question.

I tried to install the software Vodafone 3 G portal. It detects the presence of the 'mobile device' (SIM in housing) but then can not turn it on.

I downloaded and installed all the latest drivers for the chip, the pilot 3G, 3G software, LAN driver, LAN software and all updates of Windows 7.

I have the latest version of the BIOS (3.0) but this has not been updated by Toshiba since 11/04/09.

I would point out that Diagnostic PC Toshiba tool does not recognize the installed 8 GB memory (but ccleaner):

    This indicates a BIOS problem?

    -don't

points to a problem of firmware on the SSD drive (is it sandforce) torque to the incompatibility of BIOS of the SSD.

I assume that all drivers installed etc were identical on the installation of the trial of HARD drive? so if this is the case it must be the SSD does not not with the BIOS correctly, so the other issues as well

There seems to be a problem, especially with older devices. And I guess that's the end of Apple since it affects both.

You can try to use iTunes to restore your device from a backup

    Hello

I put t know what phone you use, but many Toshiba notebook series are delivered and support similar hardware parts.
You can simply try to test and install the drivers from different series.

The new Toshiba Bluetooth stack supports Vista and you can install it on all the laptops Toshiba which supports the feature of BT.
Sometimes, you will get the chip card driver LAN or compatible Sound on the site of manufacture of chips like Intel, realtek, etc.
