Portege M750 Win7 64 bit Wireless Manager (3G) will not work

I can't TOSHIBA Wireless Manager (3G) to work in a new installation of Win 7 64 bit.

I did a test installation of Windows 7 64 - bit on and old SATA hard drive and checked TOSHIBA Wireless Manager would work. He did.

I then did a fresh install of Windows 7 64 - bit on a new Crucial C300 Real SSD 256Go.

The new facility with the Crucial SSD is not very successful... The operation "stop and restart" does not - the closing not always power off completely and you must push the switch down to.

Sometimes the SSD does not start - you enter the password of the BIOS but then nothing happens. Sometimes you turn off the power and remove the battery before as the startup disk.

But the biggest problem is that the (3G) Wireless Manager will not work. The application opens and indicates that "died" - which it is impossible that I use WiFi to post this question.

I tried to install the software Vodafone 3 G portal. It detects the presence of the 'mobile device' (SIM in housing) but then can not turn it on.

I downloaded and installed all the latest drivers for the chip, the pilot 3G, 3G software, LAN driver, LAN software and all updates of Windows 7.

I have the latest version of the BIOS (3.0) but this has not been updated by Toshiba since 11/04/09.

I would point out that Diagnostic PC Toshiba tool does not recognize the installed 8 GB memory (but ccleaner):

Model name PORTEGE M750

This indicates a BIOS problem?

-don't

points to a problem of firmware on the SSD drive (is it sandforce) torque to the incompatibility of BIOS of the SSD.

I assume that all drivers installed etc were identical on the installation of the trial of HARD drive? so if this is the case it must be the SSD does not not with the BIOS correctly, so the other issues as well

  • My Atheros AR5007EG wireless network adapter will not work

I have an Acer Aspire One AOA150ZG5 that only comes with Windows XP directly from the factory. I recently started having trouble with XP so I switched to Windows Vista Home Premium and now my wireless card doesn't work. I tried to go to the manufacturer's Web site, but they have only taken over XP, so I installed the XP driver and used the Vista Device Manager to update and it still does not work. Please help me I spent all my money on vista so I can't afford a new wireless card.

If Acer is not taken support Vista for your model, there is nothing that can be done about it.

    Sorry about that.

You can consult the Web site of the manufacturer of the wireless adapter.

If they have no drivers Vista, same thing; nothing can be done about it.

  • Moved an old (16-bit) software to XP, will not work.

We ran a spectrophotometer on a Windows 3.1 via a GPIB-CIIP/IIA card machine, but when the computer is dead we have found another one with the older card slot so we used ae try the GPIB-USB-B on a Windows XP computer. The Explorer of the GPIB Solutions can communicate with the instrument, but the software does not see the instrument. In the original file for the spectrophotometer software, it says to go to system.ini and add the device=c:\gpib-pcw\vdmad.386 line.

Because we no longer have this file we watched the Windows\System32 folder and found several gpib*.dll files. We tried gpib.dll, gpib - vdd.dll and gpib - 32.dl, instead of VDMAD.386 (we fixed the path name too) so far, but none of them worked. We also don't run the updatdos.exe successfully but saw no effect. We have a Win 98 machine that has a USB port, but we need a driver to run it. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

I had the famous camera. The instrument is now running on the XP machine, but still doesn't work is not on the Windows 98 computer. I'll keep trying because the software starts the 98 machine and then crashes so I think I'm close here too. To rename the device in Windows 98, I could follow the assistance OR the models tab of device file. Windows XP I had to seek help on the Configuration utility to find the device model dialog box.

  • Can I do a clean install of Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on Vista Ultimate 32-bit upgrade. Installation file will not work. The error is described below.

The XPS 730 with Intel Q9450 computer yourself running Windows 7 64 bit? The details of performance show that it is capable of 64-bit. When I try to install Windows 7 pro 64-bit upgrade, the installer will not work. I get an error that reads:
The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows that you are running.

I'm currently running Vista Ultimate 32 bit. Everything that I read on Microsoft and elsewhere says that you can go from Vista 32 bit to an operating system Windows 7 64-bit as long as you do the clean install. I'm that far away since I can't even run the installation.
Maybe nobody knows what could be the problem?

    Hi Hal K,

Thank you for visiting Microsoft Answers.

If you are currently running a 32-bit version of Windows, you can only perform an upgrade to another 32-bit version of Windows. Similarly, if you run a 64-bit version of Windows, you can perform an upgrade to another 64-bit Windows version.

If you want to move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version of Windows, and vice versa, you will need to back up your files and then perform a custom of the version of Windows you want to install installation.

  • Portege R700 - Windows 7 32-bit - NETWORK adapter driver does not work.

    Hi all

I rebuilt a Portege R700 with Windows 7 32-bit o/s. I downloaded the drivers from the Toshiba site but could not get the only rider listed working card. It seems to install ok but will not work. If I try to 'put to date pilot' with Device Manager and point to the files expanded, he said that the required software is not found.

Is there a driver that works and can someone tell me where it is please?

This seems to be the controller of Intel AMT.
You can download the driver form Intel page.
Search for Intel AMT or check this link to the page of the Toshiba driver:

  • Wireless, Satellite A500-17 x will not work

    Hello

Bit of an issue, the wireless on my laptop will not work. It is certainly a problem with the laptop itself, the router etc are all fine. I can connect to the internet with a cable, but Wireless does just not all. The switch on the front of the laptop, which should turn the radio power, has no effect. Before this problem of switching on the position 'on' would cause icon connection Wireless next to the switch to light up, it's no longer the case. Furthermore, when I tried to check the drivers in Device Manager there are only one option under "Network adapters", which is the "Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller. Right click and select "update driver software...". ' result in a message saying that the proper drivers are installed. I don't know, but I suspect that there may be a lack of adapter or something?

    Any help much appreciated.

Maybe some unknown device appears in Device Manager?

You should have 2 entries for network adapters. One for the LAN and the other for the WLAN.

By the way: when you set switch WLAN on WE and when you use FN + F8 what happens exactly?

  • The Peer Name Resolution Protocol service (PNRPsvc) or peer network (p2pimsvc) Identity Manager service does not work

I get the following error message when you run windows network diagnostics. I ran the diagnosis because I have a network with Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit on a computer and WinXP 32 bit on the other.  Curiously, I can easily see and manipulate all files through the firewall of Windows XP. Either way, Windows XP can not see files on Win7. I can drag files to the shared folder, XP can see them, but can not open the same when I enable the share using Win7.  I can see the Win7 computer name and I have a home network without password. When I click on the folder with XP, the error popup grey box says that I might not have permissions to access these files. Contact the administrator of systems etc. My network has the same name on both computers, so I feel totally betrayed by what is happening here. There should be no problem but there is a.

I get this error message when you run windows network diagnostics:

The Peer Name Resolution Protocol service (PNRPsvc) or peer network (p2pimsvc) Identity Manager service does not work, The Peer Networking Grouping (p2psvc) service depends on these two services to work correctly

I've followed these tips nothing does not:

    ·                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     To see which services are/are not running click on the ORB start and type Services in the search box at the bottom of

    the menu. Select Services results.

Check the columns of type status and commissioning for "Start" and "Manual".

Those who are not running, then select properties in the right click menu.
Click the startup type box and select manual in the menu, then click on apply, then OK at the bottom of the window.
Now try to Start the service for the option in the main window.
Try the homegroup connection, if the service starts

Try a reboot if all goes well. The settings may or may not stick!

Scroll down the page until you see the following...
    Select Services results.

    Hi MarkWebber,

Method 1: I suggest you to follow the link provided below to start your computer in safe mode with network.

Advanced, including safe mode startup options

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

If it works fine in safe mode with network, try to put your system at startup mode minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

Method 2: Studied the problem and found the solution. A file has been corrupted and remove he got running PNRP service. The file has been re-created correctly when the PNRP service started upward. Here is the file for future reference:

    'C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking\idstore.sst'.
