Devtools GCLI connect command

According to this page: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/GCLI#Commands

There is a connect command:

> connect to connect to a remote server: the following commands will run on the server.

.. but it's not Firefox, Firefox Nightly or Firefox Developer Edition.

What I would like is connect via INTEGRATION to another instance of firefox and run commands on the remote instance, that 'connect' sounds exactly like.

Hope everyone can share some information about the connect command.

Thank you
Mark

Note that you can press the tab key to accept a suggestion offered.

It was removed in Firefox 30 as a separate command.
I don't know if is is available through other ways.

  • How to automate the SSH connection/commands on a series of switches PowerConnect 3400 3500 and 6200 series.

    I'm trying to find a way to automate the commands to send a series of switches (about 20) showing some configs and save the output to a file. The way I was trying to do was using plink and creation of a batch of files for her.

    Essentially, it would be something similar to the following.

    ECHO

    for /f % in (devices.txt) plink % l word of PAST of USERNAME-pw-v - m C:\Batch\commands.txt > output.txt

    To split the above command, looking for my ips in the devices.txt and made a "plink pw - username PASSWORD - v IP-l m - COMMANDS > OUTPUT" for each. The problem, I'm running is that the switches do not accept logins, they constantly ask for the user and the password again. Even when you try to put them in the commands.txt he will not accept the entry. I googled using plink with dell switches but there is nothing to talk about this problem.

    So my question is, is it possible to automate this sort of thing in a batch file? Or some way to automate a series of commands to a switch via SSH? I'm just not wan't do manually connect to each of them, carry out my orders, out, reconnect and repeat. I did it on cisco switches so I thought the process would be similar but I don't understand what obstacle I'm running in here. Ideally, I'd like to see how to do this via SSH but at this point, I am ready to accept almost any alternative (secure) to automate the sending of orders for my switches.

    I hope that all makes sense.

    Sorry, I haven't used before plink, so I'm not sure what to change to get this to work. In the past, there was another Member of the community who has been able to use expect to establish connections to switches and save configs.

    Linux.Die.net/.../expect

    It may be somewhat more than installation, but you can be able to make it work for your needs.

    The command is now console, not connect.

    And that's exactly what is said in the docs - it's just that I had not noticed the change and read 'connect', where 'console' was written.

  • TCL EXEC command is not available in the EEM scripts

    Hi all

    I'm writing a script that checks the ip address assigned to an interface (assigned by PPPoE Dialer) verifies a FULL domain name resolution and if the two IP match not retrieve a URL so update a dynamic DNS (I know that there is a support built into IOS for DNS, dynamic but it does not always work and I make sure that I can reach the router remotely).

    The question is when I run the script from the CLI, it seems to work when I save in the infrastructure of the EEM it seems certain command failed

    as exec or using the standard library of http.tcl:

    Is there a limitation? I couldn't find anything, and I know that what works in the TCL CLI interpreter working in the scripts of the EEM.

    Hi Fabio,.

    EEM manages TCL Safe-TCL mode.  It is documented here:

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/iOS/NetMgmt/configuration/guide/nm_eem_policy_tcl.html#wp1174624

    Exec is not allowed Safe-Tcl.  The right way to do this from EEM is to use the cli EEM library, open an ATS with cli_open, send the commands you want and read the responses using cli_write/cli_read or cli_exec, and then close the CLI if you want using cli_close or leave the end of the script.

  • IP SLA TCP connect to FQDN - JIT or TCL required?

    Hello

    I have a Setup today where we test the accessibility of a service through the SLA of IP TCP connect the probe. This is done to an IP, straight forward until present. Unfortunately they ISP will not be able to provide a static IP address in the future which means that we do not know the IP address of the service that we test.

    We wanted to solve this problem by providing a FULL domain name to IP SLA probe instead, but unfortunately, it seems it solves the FULL domain name directly and then between an address IP address to TCP connect command. Not very elegant! Of course, this means that the probe would not abreast of any changes in the hostname-> mapping of IP addresses.

    Is it possible to solve this problem with the EEM or TCL somehow? An option that I thought was to make a ping to the host name and check what IP address it is resolved to. If the IP address has changed then update the ports TCP connect command. It's a bit beyond my abilities scripting yet. Is this possible in EEM or that would require TCL?

    Someone told me that IOS is cached responses to requests for four hours, what works well in this situation, of course. Maybe it's possible to clear the cache to ensure that the query contains up-to-date information?

    Grateful for any input from the community can bring.

    You can clear the cache using ' clear host. "  So you could automate this using an applet that can run, for example, every 10 minutes:

    Event Manager cmdlet get - ip

    watch dog timer event duration 600

    order cli action 001 'enable '.

    action 002 cli command "clear host."

    cli command action 003 "ping ip HOST repeat 1"

    action 004 regexp 'echoes in ([0 - 9.] ". (+)' $_cli_result match ip

    005 action puts 'Do what you want with $ip now.

  • possibility to connect to different databases

    in a blank worksheet in sqldeveloper - without having to explicitly chosen a db connection in the connections really really long laundry lists if one were to letter - / scroll down through all the entries to the nth instance of database desired - I was wondering if there is something of tweak / undocumented connect

    1. as we do via cmdline sqlplus uname/pswd@siduname/pswd@sid

    2 or a shortcut to say type connect and start typing a name of existing connections (with connection intelligent name env_user_sid) and/or worst case hit the key combo-magical ctr + space for suggestionlist and the hit then enter to connect to the desired db

    3 or the ability to access the connection in the connection selection dialog box by typing all the connection string (and unlike existing functionality where once we start typing the name of the connection it navigates to this login name, starting with the last shot of keys)

    Thank you.

    The worksheet supports the CONNECT command.

    Have you tried setting up connection files? You would be able to hide connections that are not of interest to you at the moment.

    We have plans to improve the user experience when you use the drop-down list control new connection in the worksheet when you have many connections defined, so stay tuned.

    The only option I have found is to add the PWD to the DSN itself in sys.odbc.ini, which feels like a bit of a hack (similar to hardcode) and also saw things to connect with the credentials of the OS. He works to create a DSN even for the same thing, but when CS, kludgy.

    Any suggestions? The use case is a batch process, loading data in TT, which writes the verbose output is Ctrl-M including the shell script echo, logging where the password in plain text, which is bad, me kay...

    Thank you.

    What you see is ttIsql echo'ing the command connect which was implicitly executed because the '-connstr ' argument was use.

    There are several workaround solutions I can think.

    They mainly concern the setting of the level of detail.

    $ ttIsql - v 0 - connstr "dsn = MyDSN; UID = scott; pwd = Tiger.

    Command >

    The foregoing (using v - 0) does ttIsql not print command or exit.

    Thus, to restore the rest of the script to the level of detail by default, make the first command in the script

    be:

    define 2 comments

    Alternatively, you can ttIsql start without specifying a DSN or connstr

    So if you send commands to ttIsql via a hose, you can send the connect command via the pipe as well.

    I use "echo".

    $ echo ' verbosity 0; Connect "dsn = MyDSN; UID = scott; pwd = Tiger "; verbosity 2; Select * twice; Quit "| ttIsql

    Copyright (c) 1996, 2013, Oracle and/or its affiliates. All rights reserved.

    Type? or 'aid' help, type "exit" to leave the ttIsql.

    verbosity 0;

    Select * twice;

    < x="">

    1 row found.

    quit smoking;

    Disconnecting...

    Fact.

    ----

    Or if you write in a bourne shell script (to keep the password on the command line "echo" as well):

    ttIsql<>

    verbosity 0; Connect "dsn = MyDSN; UID = scott; pwd = Tiger "; verbosity 2;

    Select * twice; quit smoking;

    Appreciate help on this for me to pursue further away that I fight to achieve this for the last two days.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

    You can try with another tool - for example curl?

    Curl for example connection command: curl k u @System: /api/v1.0/login https:// (k option must ignore SSL certificate errors, as appropriate).

    In addition, you can try with a user in a different Organization (non-system).

    Can you also send the contents of the container-vcloud - debug.log after unsuccessful login (it is under/opt/vmware/vcloud-director/logs).

    I know, it's a matter of weakness, but I hit the wall on this one. I've even got desperate enough that bouncing private LuD, and I tried everything we discussed, but I'm still @ deadlocked.

    I developed and tested several scripts that I am finally ready to go with Prod.

    I get this error when I am trying to connect to Vcenter server or host of the cmndline of vitoolkit (and obviously in scripts).

    «Connect-VIServer: could not connect using the requested protocol.»

    I'm runing the vitoolkit FROM the server VCenter, so I wouldn't exepct the local to be a problem connection. I expect calls the ESX servers as questions) (we have several firewalls in the game). But even once, on-site I would not expect a problem.

    I checked my ports of VC and even more precisely called listener in the connect command, but it does not help.

    I tried to watch the ports through various lines of command, but I don't see anything.

    Any suggestions?

    Add - confirm: $false and it won't be quick.

  • can I change xfa.sourceSet.DataConnection.connect.connectString.value

    LC Designer, I created a data connection named DataConnection1 to access a certain file named a001.xls,

    Here is the poster of xml:

    "< sourceSet xmlns ="http://www.xfa.org/schema/xfa-source-set/1.0/">."
    < source name = db = "teen," "DataConnection1" >
    < log delayedOpen = "1" timeout = "15" >
    < connectString > Provider = MSDASQL.1; Persist Security Info = False; Data Source = Excel files; Mode = Read; Extended properties = "DSN = Excel Files; DBQ = C:\a001.xls; DefaultDir = C:; DriverId = 790;" MaxBufferSize = 2048; PageTimeout = 5; "< / conn ectString >
    < user / >
    < password / >
    < / connect >
    < command timeout = "30" >

    -----------------------

    I can view the value of xfa.sourceSet.DataConnection1.connect.connectString.value that shows above the station.

    Now I change the chain of connection via a click on a button that I can use another file named a002.xls for the data connection by:

    new_connStr = "Provider = MSDASQL.1; Persist Security Info = False; Data Source = Excel files; Mode = Read; Extended properties =------"DSN = Excel Files;DBQ=C:\\a002.xls;DefaultDir=C:;DriverId=790;" MaxBufferSize = 2048; PageTimeout = 5; \ » » ;

    xfa.sourceSet.DataConnection1.connect.connectString.value = new_connStr;

    Then when I redisplay the value, there is still the same old connect the string value.

    Any ideas?

    Rgds.

    The sourceSet is locked after the form is displayed. It is a breach of security to change after rendering. If you open the javascript console I am sure you will see an error in security breach.

  • How can I get rid of persistent Imgur prefs in topic: config?

    Over the past months, I have had the Imgur.com site host a few images (uploaded from my hard drive) for me so that I could put links to them in some messages I posted to usenet.

    Please note two things:
    1. I have never had the Imgur Uploader (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/imgur-uploader/) extension installed, ever.
    2. I always clean my cookies when I quit Firefox.

    This morning, looking around: config, I noticed the following two preferences:

    devtools.gcli.imgurUploadURL (the value https://api.imgur.com/3/image)
    devtools.gcli.imgurClientID (the value to a unique identifier that I post here)

    WHAT. THE. DEVIL?

    I closed Firefox, waited a while and then opens the my profile folder prefs.js in a text editor. I then manually deleted the two parameters of this file and saved it. When I started Firefox upward and checked if the two parameters were right where they had been in all: config and with the original values. I went up to try twice, with the same result both times.

    Then, with Firefox running, I deleted the values of these two prefs in topic: config, then stop and restart Firefox. Values have remained deleted, but the prefs are always listed in everything: config. So I tried right click on preferences and selecting "Reset" on two of them. Only, which restores the values and does not delete the preferences.

    Does anyone know how these two prefs put in my file prefs.js in the first place and why they keep coming back?

    Mozilla has some sort of arrangement with this Web site or am I infected with some kind of malware that I picked up on the site Web of Imgur?

    It is possible for a Web site change my prefs.js file and store information in this location, then cookies are the least of my worries!

    After reading this bug:

    https://Bugzilla.Mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=992386

    I found this:

    https://groups.Google.com/Forum/?fromgroups#! Imgur/AJcTXtiOMPk/topic

    In the second link, Christian Heilmann described how two preferences are used in the devtools:
    _______________________________________________________________________
    The story is this: Firefox development tools have a great feature when you press SHIFT + F2 you get a command line to do all sorts of things with the browser. One of them is 'screenshot', which takes a screenshot of the page. "screenshot - fullpage" scroll the entire page for you and takes a picture of him. Now I was proposing to offer a flag - imgur to automatically download the screenshot on imgur using the API but with 400 million users, we will hit the limits quickly enough.
    _______________________________________________________________________

    So if you have a page to scroll through to display everything, you can use this tool to make an image of it without having to take screenshots of portions and then photomerge all together. Then a developer can store the image on Imgur and have a link to the image is displayed with other developers.

    Now I understand what is happening and I think I'll just let the prefs only. OTOH, since I'm not a developer, removing their values have no effect on anything.

    Please consider this topic resolved and thanks anyway.

  • Re: Satellite PRO 4600 and WLAN driver

    My old Satellite Pro 4600 connects with networks wireless unsecured very well but has a problem with WEP - Gets an error message immediately to connect command, never reaches the authentication dialog.

    I would try to update the drivers of wifi card, but where can I find them? This site does not recognize not my serial number.

    Can someone please?

    Thank you.

    -Kari-

    This along with the serial number reorganization probably works with new laptops only.
    Go directly to the download section Toshiba > http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp and under archive try to find your model of laptop and WLAN driver.

  • M6348 Firmware Password

    Hello, I've updated the firmware on my switch M6348 following the "modernization PowerConnect password 2.x.x.x or 5.x.x.x 3.x.x.x or 4.x.x.x to 5.1.10.1 Firmware Version" guide. However once it reboots I am more able to connect to the switch with any combination of username and passwords. I tried to connect via telnet and who does not. I followed the directions exactly.

    I'm hoping to avoid having to connect to the console I am 700 miles from the switch.

    Please notify.

    Thank you!

    Too bad, I thought of it.

    I have SSHd in CMC, then used the switch-1 connect command. I provided the enable password and was then able to use the user name command to configure an admin user.
