dgmgrl show configuration - ORA-16610: command "Service Broker implementation" ongoing (impossible to determine status)

Hello

We have an active guard of data with a physical standby database. Using custom scripting zabbix we execute dgmrl 'See the configuration' and grep result of ' State of ' the output Configuration.  If this isn't "SUCCESS", then a notification is sent.

Today @ 15:12:53 has been following the release of the primary database:

ORA-16610: command "Service Broker implementation" ongoing

DGM-17017: unable to determine the configuration state

I happened to notice the notification immediately, connected and run "show configuration" manually, which was SUCCESSFUL. Also the next result for zabbix has SUCCESS @ 15:15:53.

On the basis of data pending, the results have been successful all the way (also at 12:15:56).

No errors not found in the journal to the DRC, nor in the log of the server logs or alerts. EM's own beautiful graphic. Data has been / are in sync and I couldn't find anything indicating problems.

However, the exit for 'see the configuration' may not have been drawn from air - it something must have caused. Any ideas on this subject?

Hello;

It is possible, that a health check is running. OR one of your databases does not use a SPFILE.

In any case, it is not an error, just a warning, so unless he's going on a high percentage of the time I wouldn't worry on this subject.

Best regards

    Hello

    After the reconstruction of 3 times my configuration, I bounce back with the same problem. I read all the threads on the subject but couldn't find a solution. If someone has an idea:

    I have 2 instances acting as main currently: "ORCL1" (the server ServerS1) and "ORCL2" (on server server2 server) on a "ORCLS" (cluster CCR) database RAC

    I have 2 instances acting as dataguard currently: "ORCL1" (on the ServerP1 server) and 'ORCL2' (on the ServerP2 server) on a data base RAC "ORCL" (cluster RACP)

    Eric

    I finally found and fix the problem.

    I discovered that dg_broker messages are followed in the footsteps of the dataguard instance directory (same as location of alert file) under the name of DRC.log

    In this file, I found messages like:

    [...]

    INSV: could not open the file of configuration "+ RECOVERY/ORCL/dgconfig/dgb_config02.ora".

    ORA-17503: ksfdopn:2 failed to open the file +RECOVERY/ORCL/dgconfig/dgb_config02.ora

    ORA-15173: entry 'dgb_config02.ora' does not exist in the directory "dgconfig.

    In fact, as I was deleting the files from dgb_config0*.ora through ASMCMD, I did not notice that I was also remove DGCONFIG directory.

    After creating the directory manually, everything is back to normal.

    Thanks for your time and support, in the hope that it will help someone someday...

    John;

    I checked my setup note and here is what I have on your common error:

    ORA-16607 on SHOW CONFIGURATION

    Problem: After creating your configuration and adding the standby database, you issued a SHOW CONFIGURATION as suggested. Instead of the expected SUCCESS, the report ends up with

    Warning: ORA-16607: one or more databases have failed

    . Checking with oerr ora 16607 was not very helpful (see above), and you neither can find anything in your alert.log nor any trace files.

    Cause: Probably at least one of your databases is not using an SPFILE.

    Solution: Check whether your databases have an SPFILE associated. It is usually located in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/spfile$ORACLE_SID.ora. If it does not exist, create it: Login to your database as SYSDBA, and issue the command CREATE SPFILE FROM PFILE;. Even if it exists, to make the database using it you need to restart the instance - it must be used already at startup.

    Hello

    Is it possible to add two or several primary and physical databases configuration ensures in data guard broker?

    I have 1 primary databases and two databases physical standby that is

    I have two separate computers to the broker a headquarters and a District Office

    Use failure of quick start on Data Guard Broker, broker headquarters machine I have configured pri and dry but in sector office broker not able congifured pri and S2 and the machine.

    can be done several primary database configuration with data bases on hold?

    Has anyone done this before, or has a perform a recovery after loss of place...

    need help or suggestion

    thanx

    No.... It is not possible. When you use the DG broker, the first thing you can do in the DGMGRL utility is to deliver CONFIGURATION to CREATE. You can see on the doc of this command that you define here the PRIMARY DATABASE.

    The command to add a DATABASE to the broker, adds a new database pending. You cannot add an another primary.

    The broker configuration is explicitly for a primary and all standby databases is supported. If you have an another primary, you create a separate DG broker configuration.

    See you soon,.

    Visa update problem

    After trying to install the updates.  my computer is now stuck in constant reboot mode while showing "Configuring updates 3 of 3 0%, do not turn off your computer.  I tried to follow the instructions provided here because it seemed to be the same problem.  But when I restart and hold down the F8 key so I can boot into safe mode, I tried selecting safe mode and I get the same results, and I tried again by selecting the option 'Disable automatic reboot' which seems to be an option on the same page with the option of safe mode.  Whatever it is, the same message comes back and I can never get to where I can see my desktop to click 'start '.  I can't get out of this cycle.  I installed the update because it said I needed to install it.

    *************************************************************************************************************************************************

    Turn off your computer by holding the power button for about 20 seconds.

    Start your computer in safe mode: press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears

    Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure:

    • Click Start
    • Click on Control Panel
    • Click on system and Maintenance link.
    • Click on the system link
    • In the left pane, click Advanced system settings
    • Locate the startup and recovery area, click the settings button.
    • In the startup and recovery window, uncheck the box next to automatically restart.
    • Click OK in the startup and recovery window
    • Click OK in the System Properties window
    • Close the system window

    After that... While STAYING in safe mode I do a system restore and maybe try a manual install of the update later.

    For the sake of space I refer you to the article about how to proceed.

  • Best practices Check - Configuration of the Communication Service

    So, we have the following here the use case...

    Background:

    We have a FMS instance that has several teams using multiple applications, air conditioned and have their own specific communication needs. Teams of infrastructure, such as the database or Server team are also included on this FMS. We have services configured around applications and their dependencies, so a single object will exist in several services.

    To work around the lack of granularity configuration and horrible the service-based E-mail in the form, I created an event rule that queries for FSMServices affected for a given event and iterates over all the unique services, pulling on the notification settings through our way of soil and trigger Actions from the command line or appropriate accordingly EmailActions... we use of the-d in the field of shortDesc service options.

    Example:

    (You can ask for a detailed explanation of what do the settings, if you wish, or that the levels called - but they are just an additive representation of the levels of severity in foglight)

    Here's our new problem:

    We have teams who want notification on certain rules of certain severities (such as criticism), but not others. This has created the need for a 'white list' or the 'black list' of the original names of rule for the event to determine whether an event should be communicated to our NOC or paged on our teams.

    My solution of thought:

    We will create a new cartridge (FoglightCommunication) that contains a custom dashboard and the definition of the topology for a FSMServiceConfig object. This object contains a white list or black list for some rules should be provided for each service. This TopologyObject would also resume functionality which serve as my current shortDesc variables... Essentially, it would contain all THE information relevant to its corresponding FSMService object configuration. We have experience in creating modules advanced both in the creation of Foglight cartridge/agents/topology definitions.

    The dashboard would exist to facilitate the configuration of this new object and to facilitate the visualization of the current communication service. This would also allow our team to allow the teams less educated with Foglight feature more easily and completely configure their own communication service. Empowering the team owner is always a good thing

    My Question:

    Did someone in the quest (it's such a name cooler than Dell) sees a problem with this? My only concern is that we could lose all our configuration information to uninstall the cartridge for a upgrade problem. He might consider a work around with an option to export/import... but it's a messy solution and a non-human evidence. Is there a way to specify the data to be persisted, even if the cartridge that has defined this topology definition is uninstalled?

    I'd appreciate any comments or thoughts. Thank you!

    Hi Adam.

    This looks like a very useful customization. I don't see why your team should not move forward with that.

    I also like the idea of building an import/export feature in your cartridge in order to preserve the configurations in case you need to uninstall the cartridge. Note that even in this case, type of custom topology that was written to the repository data Foglight will always be there (i.e. it will not be served unless you specifically request this) - so you can be able to get Foglight to save the configuration information important for you.

    I encourage you to update the community on your progress on this and send questions, screencaps, etc., as needed.

    Thank you!

    Hi eholtz,

    Here's the code I added to hostServiceManagement.pl (IIRC!):

    1. check the boot strategy:

    sub checkServiceEnabled {
            my ($serviceSystem,$service) = @_;

            my $services = $serviceSystem->serviceInfo->service;

                    if($_->key eq $service) {

            return 0;
    }

    2 then disable the service:

    my $policy = &checkServiceEnabled($serviceSystem,$service);
    if($policy eq "on") {
            eval {
                    $serviceSystem->UpdateServicePolicy(id => $service, policy => "off");
                    print "\t" . color("cyan") . "Successfully disabled $service\n" . color("reset");
            };
            if($@) {
                    print "\t" . color("red") . "Error: Unable to change startup policy on service \"$service\" due to: " . $@ . color("reset") . "\n";
            }
    }elsif($policy eq "off") {
            print "\t" . color("yellow") . "$service is already disabled" . color("reset") . "\n";
    } else {
            print "\t" . color("red") . "Error: Unknown startup policy \"$policy\"" . color("reset") . "\n";
    }

    And to allow:

    my $policy = &checkServiceEnabled($serviceSystem,$service);
    if($policy eq "off") {
            eval {

    "SQL > Create diskgroup temp_dg disk ' / dev/map/003w1_e2p5 ' attribute 'compatible.asm' = ' 11.2.0.0.0 ';

    ' Create the diskgroup temp_dg disc ' /003w1_e2p5' attribute 'compatible.asm' = ' 11.2.0.0.0. '

    ERROR on line 1:

    ORA-15018: diskgroup cannot be created.

    ORA-15072: command requires at least 2 groups of regular, discovered only failure 1

    When I used two disks, diskgroup created.

    All starts in ASM is EXTERNAL redundancy.

    I would like to know why he asked create diskgroup redundancy NORMAL. Y at - it something like default REDUNDANCY in ASM.

    If you want to create redundancy external ASM diskgroup, then you must explicitly give REDUNDANCY EXTERNAL create diskgroup command as below:

    CREATE the DISKGROUP data EXTERNAL DISK of REDUNDANCY "/ dev/d1 ', ' / dev/d2 ', ' / dev/d3 ',...;

    Y at - it something like default REDUNDANCY in ASM.

    Yes, if you do not write OUTSIDE, NORMAL or HIGH REDUNDANCY in order create diskgroup, and then create diskgroup command will create REDUNDANCY NORMAL. (with min require two ASM disk)

    Hi Thibaut Lacroix,.

    You have the database entry in the tnsnames.ora file? If this isn't the case, you must set.

    And then you export the sid before calling the rman target /.

    Please check and let us know the status
