• How to share a USB with a virtual machine raw device?

  I have a TEMPer PCSensor USB device I want to share with a virtual machine.

  When he connect on my MacBook, I see it as a USB device in System Profiler as shown here:

  

  The problem is that there is no OS X driver that is appropriate for that. So while it has detected the USB device and read data from string device, Snow Leopard is not actually load anything to support this material.   If System Profiler can see the USB device, it should appear in the list of devices that can be connected to a virtual machine. The only exception is if it is a HID-class, which are automatically filtered device. See USB HID the User Guide running A VMware Fusion for an explanation and a workaround.

  When you use a bridged vNIC the customer acts as any other host, so that you can access is by his IP (or name if a DNS configuration exists as you acceding to any other host.) What tools you can use depends on the guest operating system and the software available.

  I assume you mean access deskopt. Then you can use RDP (Windows Terminal services) or VNC (tight/tiny).

  For Linux, you can use this last or all the flavors of SSH. In the case of Linux, I use VNC through SSH tunnel. You can also tunnel X through SSH, so if you have an X server on another host (such as the Hummingbird for Windows), you can open your own office remotely there.

  Using two monitors of the Windows XP Mode virtual machine?  I'm sorry, there is nothing built in Windows XP mode which can do.  The Windows XP virtual machine uses a very basic simulation software video card which does not have this capability, even if the Windows 7 machine has two monitors.

  You can move the entire window of the Windows XP Mode - Windows Virtual PC between monitors, but I don't think that's what you're asking.

  For a few other possibilities, please visit using Virtual PC with multiple monitors, kind of and several monitors with VMs via MaxiVista .  I don't know if they work with Windows 7 and the latest version of Windows Virtual PC, however.

• corrupted virtual linux machine flight

  at home I have free ESXi 5.1 running and a synology NAS with linux virtual machine. recently, power got accidentally turned off on the synology and the linux VM have some problems of corruption.

  they can start but not completely trying to unmount a volume to run fsck results in this particular target busy, so cannot run fsck on this target.

  Never mind. has been able to get networks part-time running on the virtual machine in maintenance mode and copied "testdisk" to the virtual machine. they are corrupt, but I was able to get a disk image of the two copied on my synology. config files and documents that I need are there and intact. had a recent backup but no worries now.

  I'm a system administrator with more than 50 machines, all licenses of Windows 7 OEM running.  I use WSUS to update my machines, so that they do not get the update through Windows Update notice, and in fact, I don't want my users to have this ability.  I'm not sure if Windows 10 will work in our environment.  I would like to download at least one license to test.  If it works, I would get the rest of them upgraded.  Since they are all OEMS, I guess I would have to download for each PC... is that correct or could I just download one and use it for all PCs in my shop?  Thank you.

  no problem on the side of flex... need to escape crossdomain.xml file in the htacess of codeigniter i.e RewriteCond $1! ^ (index\.php|images|application|uploads|robots\.txt|crossdomain\.xml) in the htaccess file.

• Beta 6 - lost sharing with my virtual machine to Yosemite...

  I'm running Beta of Yosemite and VMWare 6.0.4

  I chose is not upgraded to VMWare 7 until the final version of Yosemite is released and VMWare 7 has made all its corrections accordingly.

  Now, after reviewing the above, I didn't have problems (to my knowledge) with the help of VMWare on the Yosemite Beta 6.0.4 until the most recent beta version updated this morning.

  After updating Yosemite Beta Beta 6, I lost the ability to share with my Mac, and all my desktop icons disappeared.

  I tried to turn sharing off - restart the virtual machine (windows 7), turn on sharing, restart the machine virtual and verified that sharing is enabled on my mac after the update.

  Are the guru of VMWare is aware of this and work on a resolution?

  -Uninstall VMWare tools

  restart the virtual machine (windows 7 in my case)

  Re - install VMWARE tools

  restart the virtual machine

  reactivate the sharing

  log out of the virtual machine

  reconnect

  It works now
