  I can't understand why I can't "Subtract" a path in a "compound shape" a path in an another "compound shape. I don't know that it must be simple, as I did it with other elements of an object - I'm just trying to avoid a form on a weaker form while I have a transparent background.

  3. Object > break down (this allows your shots to stay, Pathfinder does not have strokes)
  4. Pathfinder > merge
  5. Direct selection tool (white arrow) and click on one of the white areas
  6. Select > same > fill & racing
  7. Delete

  Strikes and the appearance settings caused the Pathfinder commands to fail. Objects with features often cause unexpected results with Pathfinder. Expanding at all, you eliminate that issue.

• What is happening with these bugs pathfinder?

  The pathfinder is to create all kinds of bugs and strange artifacts on the forms, after filters are applied. For example a "gap" of 2 objects causes all kinds of resizing of errors as well s extra addition is incompatible with the original shape. The toolset of pathfinder is essentially unusable. Another massive issue is flapping in the points. The alignment tool will NOT honor the alignment of forms no matter what I do. He made use of illustrator so hard I might need to start to do all my work vector on the sketch. Adobe please explain?

  Have you tried to disable snap to grid of pixels?

  All I'm trying to do is draw a circle, draw a line through it and "divide".

  What is happening is the line get trimmed to fit the circle and they can be combined in a single object.

  I saw some references to this in the forum, but everything I try, it does the same thing.

  I watched a few videos on the subject, and so it seems straight forward.

  What in the world am I doing wrong.

  When you work in Illustrator, always pay attention to what kind of object you are dealing with. Keep the palette open and under the eyes. Note that after you...:

  1. draw a circle.

  2. draw a line through it.

  3. Select both.

  4 pathfinder palette: divide.

  .. the object resulting is a group. Ungroup (object > ungroup) and you will see that you have now two roads closed, not a circle and a cropped line.

  In Reader, you can edit > Preferences > General > display > use Type Cool and set up Cool Type (the latter to settle).

  Otherwise, you may be stuck with thick letters on screen. I presume that it looks right in the press.

  Hi, I had this problem on my ipad new girls. even after you contact apple and spend an hour with them on the phone they couldn't understand it.  but then I found the solution.  Get a credit card on file, not a debit card, Apple servers know the difference.  Once I changed my info card for a real credit card, I was able to change the date of birth in a few seconds.  later, I put my debit card on file and everything works as it should.

  Your Mac specific (2010) has an built-in optical drive. There are very few models Mac that can use the connection USB or DVD installers. You need a physical DVD. If you have an ISO, it must be burned on a physical DVD. If you have created an ISO of a DVD for your specific model it was an unnecessary step.

• Difficulty with the extra addition of LED

  Hope someone can help me with this. I have some difficulties with the addition of special edition led in the program. There is already a conduit in the program who are burning on a random time between 3 and 7 seconds. Now, I want to add a further directed that burn also occasionally at random, but not at the same time, when the other led also burning. So far, I can only he manages with two burning leds at the same time. The program is a reaction timer, see attachment.

  The absolute best way I can think to do is to add a second loop and use a notifier to communicate between the two.  When the user press the Start button or the Stop button resets the timer, send a random number for the notifier to the second loop.  In the other loop, wait for the notifier.  Put the value received in a shift register and use it as the value of timeout for the next notification. When it expires, assign the second Boolean value.  Something like the VI attached (I took out the calls to the DLL).

  There are other problems with your VI: there should be a way to leave, and never recover the array of length 0.

• Difficulty with returns control to the parents program after call asynchronous Subvi

  I'm trying to set up a directory of context-sensitive help for one of my programs.  This is the first time I tried an asynchronous call and I can't seem to make it work properly.

  The attached HelpDir.vi is the parent program that gives the user different help files to choose.  When the user selects a help file, its Subvi should appear.  I would like the user able to let this help file upwards and close the help directory or select another help file to upsimulataneously, if they wish.

  The strange thing is that, currently, this vi works exactly as I want if I stress execution on, but works normally, the HelpDir.vi becomes unresponsive when we help files was loaded and becomes sensitive again once the help file has been left.

  I set up the parent program with a structure of the event running asynchronous call and forget everything as in the example of the expedition to the France so I do not know why the program parent is not recover control after the launch of the Subvi.  Please take a look and let me know if you see what I'm missing.

  PS, You may need to update both static references.  I don't know if they break when you send the code this way.

  Change your dialogues float instead of Modal.  Modal windows will always be on top.  In the changing Floating, then you can access the window of your main VI as well.

  Performance highlight should substitute somehow the disorder of modal window.

• Difficulty with the Assistant of Vision 2009

  Hello.  When I try to execute the Vision Assistant it says my screen resolution is wrong and after I click OK it just closes.  My screen resolution is 1920 x 1080, so it should be good?  I use the 64 bit version of Windows 7.  I asked the support of NEITHER and they just sent out the following link: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/41EB3AA9B4F9BE2D8625719D0051A2B0?OpenDocument.  Because my computer is new and the screen resolution is above the min I don't understand the problem?  I also activated automatically hide it the bar of tasks and changed my screen resolution of 1024 x 768 and it still gives me the error?  I don't understand why I can't launch a program when my screen resolution exceeds the resolution of min?  Is this program that has paralyzed it does not work with a high reslution?  Is there a work around I can use that will work.  As I said before, I use the 64-bit version of Labview 2009 Windows 7 if that helps.  Thank you.

  The windows Magnifier tool is known to cause problems with the Vision Assistant.  Could you please make sure that it is turned off?  Instructions are linked here

• Difficulty with printer (custody loss of connection)

  I have been using a Zebra 2844 thermal printer during the past year. In recent months he has been giving me problems. When I try to use the printer it is greyed out and says offline, when I put in online it (it shows online) it does not print when I try to print a test page. If I turn the computer off and wait for a long time, like 12 hours and go back to give it another shot he usually works for a little while, so I have to go through all that again. I tried two different zebra printers, 3 cables different and different drivers for the printer and it still doesn't work as it should. I tried to use it on a friends computer and it works fine, all the time. This leads me to believe that there is something wrong with my computer, either the motherboard or a driver problem. I use the same cables and software on both computers. The only thing that seems strange with my computer, it's that when I go to install the printer, I have only a single port usb (USB002) option. I have 4 USB ports on my computer, 1 is used by the keyboard, and it has a wi - fi dongle. Can anyone help to understand what is happening? I don't want to have to buy a new computer just to print, but since I use it for my business I don't know what I can do. SE re-formatting help with the problem?

  This should be pretty close to what you want already.

  To display only 1 Department, you need either to group or filter. But what line do you choose? If there are multiple lines by Department, what would be the criteria to take one and not the other?

  To display only the date of completion of ast, you can then move the join condition to the select clause.
