dimming screen

My friend has a problem with one half of the screen is dim. When you click on the desktop in a way the grayed part moves high on the sides and back again. excatly the half of the screen is affected each time. I have pictures but can't download this interface. Model No. GC671AA-ABA Desktop PC-Pavilion a6130n software # 72NAV3PrA1 operating system Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium OS

I took a ride out there and found out what the problem was. It did not show on the pictures

but closer, it was clear that the shaded menu bar was strained by accident.

after it narrows down I have auto hid and locked

  • 4.1.3 the Dim screen and dimming during Animation occupied

    Hello

I was using 4.0.3 for some time and decided to try 4.1.3.

After a few clicks on standard features on the Table tab, I was surprised, why my PC trying to stop himself.

Later, I noticed the screen suddenly dark and which darkens on several background queries.

Sometimes the Sun was less than a split second, as the flickering and sometimes it was 5-7 seconds.

But the most funny thing is that a second after that the result of the query has already returned reduces the brightness of the screen. (i.e. after refreshing "not too long" background motion such as the Sessions of the monitor...)

I tried to search for and find something similar to this.

"Turning Wheel" when you access something: https://community.oracle.com/thread/3638894

However, SQL Dev PM does not stated clearly if we can disable this dimming and asked to make another thread.

For me, the low is really distracting and annoying. Just the old Running bar popup is enough.

Imagine that you watch TV and all of a sudden the screen less bright on his own and light go by himself. For me its kind as a sign my TV is almost broken.

And continue to see bright - bright - dim dim surely makes the eyes hurt for a long time.

The question still hold, how can I disable this feature?

    Thank you.

  • Windows XP hangs at the splash screen (logo). Dim screen when hooked.

I do have problems starting XP 2 on two different hard drives.  I'm more concerned at this time is described in the title.  I bought a new hard drive (Western Digital Caviar Blue WD3200AAKS 320) to back up the data on my old hard drive, due to the other XP startup problem and installed Windows XP Home edition, as well as my motherboard drivers, etc..  It starts very well, at first, but then started a curtain to the start screen (and the splash screen is very low in this case).  I tried to remove some additional applications provided with the motherboard, no luck.  I tried to reinstall XP several times, and who has not helped.  I tried to update my video driver, running chkdsk, running Windows Memory Diagnostic (which does no problem), cleaning the registry with Advanced System Care Pro, unplug all USB devices and network cable, etc.  He continues to hang at the splash screen (weakly).  When I try to start in safe mode, it hangs at "mup.sys.  So far, I'm able to get XP to start by repeated restart later...  I searched the web to find a solution for this and have found no definitive answer.  I just ordered another new hard drive and Windows 7.  I intend to dual boot with windows 7 the new HD and XP on the current disc (assuming that this problem can be solved!).

My other problem is on my old sister Hitachi 160 GB IDE hard drive.  A few months, our PC stop working.  After buying a new power supply (Corsair TX650w) and determine that he was not a power supply problem, I bought a new motherboard (GA-MA785GT-UD3H), (AMD Phenom II X 2 555 3.2 Ghz) CPU, RAM (CORSAIR XMS3 DHX 4 GB (2 x 2 GB) 240 - Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333), and some new fans (old system died due to heat issues).  Once I had it put in place and I tried to boot XP from my old drive, he just went in a "boot loop".  He gets to the XP splash screen, goes black and restarts, again and again.  I tried setting the installation of XP with XP CD 3 or 4 times, without success.  This question is not as big of a deal to me now, because I now have the new hard drive with the new number to start XP (intermittent).  My main goal with the old hard drive was to save all my data.  That is, life turns on if I can't start XP on this drive (the one with the boot loop).

    Thank you for your time!

The BIOS update has * seems * solved the problem!  I rebooted it 4 or 5 times, but also completely off the PC and it starts today.  Did not repeat the problem so far!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones VZ Nav and dimming screen

This is probably a stupid question, but if I had to run VZNav and want directions, which prevents the phone from dimming mode standby after a few seconds?

I should manually change the auto-dim setting and change when made, or the VZNav will keep the phone "awake" between directions?

Change the application IN the VZnav options backlight, not your BB Options.

Then the settings only apply when VZNav is running.

  • Pavilion dv5230us very dim screen

Hello, I have a dv5230us laptop running windows 7 Professional.  All drivers and updates are installed. At startup, the LCD is very low for maybe 10 seconds, then turns off, if you shine a flashlight on the screen, you can see the image is there, but very very small.  Connect an external monitor, the external monitor works fine.  I replaced the lcd screen and inverter without result Council.  Need ideas?  Thank you for your time.

It turns out, I bought a faulty inverter Board.  I tried a Committee of inverter of the work of the screen and another model, but I can't adjust the brightness upward or downward.  Expects the Commission to the appropriate converter now.

  • Dim dark screen on T60p after convert for Win 7

I had to wipe Vista and do a clean install of the released version of Win7. Since then, my screen is not coming back to the same brightness I had before with Vista. The Fn brightness up/down controls work, but just take the dim Dim screen REALLY.

I have all the latest Lenovo's BIOS updates and Windows updates. I have drilled down in the control panel to the gamma settings. I can make adjustments here, but all variations made worse rather than better.

Since the conversion of Win7, I lost the utiities ATI Catalyst. I tried to install http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=WIN7-BETA#m8xdiscret... ATI drivers. The article says, it installs successfully, but there is nothing in the start menu, nothing loaded to the system tray, nothing else, no improvement.

It kills me. I am a photographer, this machine is my digital darkroom and I have to teach a course in photo tomorrow, and my photos all look at them as they come from the inside of a coal, mine. Any suggestions?

Have you tried to install the Vista driver from Lenovo site? It worked well on my (at the time) T60p... under W7 RC1...

  • Dark screen

My Thinkpad X 201 has been slain with a Dim screen all day - I think that since I have connected to its docking station to connect my external monitor. Problem persists when I remove but

When I go into the power settings to adjust brightness, that nothing is happening despite the displacement slider and keys change of brightness on the keyboard do nothing either - does not even show the brightness on screen display

The screen is not dark just very dark (near the lower brightness I guess)

Does anyone else have this problem?

If you are in a completely dark room, the screen emits no light?

Try changing the brightness using the keys while in the configuration screen of the BIOS (F1 big ThinkPad logo valve).

  • Pavilion g6t-2000 black screen & Sleep Mode problem

    Features of the laptop:
Name: HP Pavilion g6t-2000 CTO Notebook

    CPU: Intel I3 - 2370 m 2.4 GHz, Intel HD 3000

GPU: AMD Radeon HD m 7670

    OS: Windows 7 64-bit

So over the past two weeks, I have been having a problem with my laptop after installation of an update to the beta with my GPU driver. Whenever I put my computer to sleep mode and turn on I get a black screen. The computer is turned on and set to lock the screen, so if I typed my password, it'll make the connection noise. Also, if I look at the right angle, I see a very dimmed screen which is there before I moved it in mode 'sleep'. Strangely when I put the laptop in hibernate mode and turn back on the screen is fine.

    Things I've tired:

    • Removed the beta driver and the GPU of HP drivers installed via the HP website
    • Update BIOS f.25 (latest driver)
    • Changed the power of options such as checking to see if hybrid sleep is turned off
    • Check the BIOS, it is very little options and none has to do with my problems. Only thing I can see on BIOS is to change the boot priority and enable and disable the little features like "fan always on / off", etc.
    • Running sfc/scannow

On a side note, my laptop has been dropped about a week BEFORE the update to the beta GPU on a foot of my bed. "Sleep" mode was not affected by what I know. I was also reading autour on a power inverter and there may be possible that it has been damaged and if you think it is maybe it how can I test it? Thank you.

I finally got the time to do a restore on my HP Pavilion laptop factory g6t-2000 settings and after doing a test with the AMD drivers, I discovered that drivers AMD were the problem holding my laptop to wake up full-screen mode 'sleep'. Thank you very much for your help AxshunJaxun.

I recommend to not install the AMD drivers and once you do and that you do not have a restore point the only solution is a factory restore settings.

  • Accelerometer turns off when the screen is off

When testing my application on a Z10 android port the accelerometer turns off when the screen is off. A partial wake lock does not turn the sensor back on. A wake dim screen lock is needed to re - turn on the detector. This behavior forces the screen to be all the time when an application requires the use of these sensors.

An example would be a pedometer recording the steps throughout the day. In order to operate the screen must be turned on by the application that runs in the background. This will cause a fast draining of the battery and is not an acceptable solution.

On Android, a partial wake lock is enough to keep the accelerometer running.

I think this should be reported as a deficiency, a lot of motion carried since Android applications will be blocked by this and my app port is one of them.

Tested on system Z10, model number STL100-3. Version of the 10.1.0.273 software

The fix will appear in MR 10.2, 10.2.1 aka.

I recently submitted a fix for the problem.

  • desktop PC: after certain period of time reduced the brightness of the screen - cannot turn off

    Win 7 64 bit

AMD hd 6870 connected via HDMI pn59d500 samsung plasma tv

    What is going on:

If I am reading an article or by typing in a comment like this box, the screen turns off after a certain period of time.

-mouse mobile, typing, scrolling window or motion/movement of the window (like firefox) on the desktop does not work for normal brightness screen.

-resizing of the window will be brighten screen (also by clicking on the Start button or start another application or similar activities).

What I've done and additional info:

-My hdtv eco settings and and autobrightness are all off. I don't have the problem with other components related to this view. This is not the problem of the screen

-my desktop pc power settings are not set to reduce brightness at any time. I even disabled the «turn off the display after...» "option. Anyway, same problem. I have the computer put to sleep after 20 minutes.

-a ran the troubleshooting of windows power - I know how to click and read. There is nothing outside of the obvious and already known.

As-i crossed all the parameters of the CCC (the suite software amd vid card). the only color/quality setting I use is deinterlacing with drop-down auto-detection. pixel format is set to RGB 4:4:4 limited. I have active treatment of ITC (will try not disabled, no idea what it affects). I use manual detection of displays... no setting under "desktop management", "my digital flat screens", and "video" seems to do anythign with dimming screen.

I read through the first 5 pages of the "Sun Office" search results here... no related response.

just thought to google the registry entries related to power... but always options this issue. I'll look into registry changes after.

    Hello

Please update us on the issue. Office is different from the laptop, and because the screen is dimming as it does in a laptop, it is related to the power settings or the driver itself. These are the only two things that are responsible for the same in a laptop as well.

Therefore, I recommend you try to create a new power plan or change the existing one to check. You can also refer to:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/change-create-or-delete-a-power-plan-scheme

Let us know the results when you try these methods.

  • Satellite L505D-S5986 - trouble installing Ubuntu using live CD/USB

Hello everyone I need to all emergency assistance and the ubuntu community.

I am a passionate user of Ubuntu, and I used it for a year. My old laptop got crashed when I flashed the bios.
Now, I bought a laptop TOSHIBA L505d-S5986 which has amd athlon 2 dual core M300 processor and an ATI Radon 4100 video card.

I had enormous difficulties to install ubuntu when I put cd/usb live that it took a long time to start and when he got this gel inside the BONE.
Then I tried fedora but even this work force well he got in the same problem freeze!

I searched and found that its due to the acpi:lnxvideo error:' exit unexpectedly with a status of 0 x 0009.
This has also given in this thread http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1301101

Then I put the acpi = off in the grub boot menu and then added to the gconf and now ubuntu works. But the system monitor shows a processor to use (again due to disabling acpi I guess) and of course when I remove her dosent Ubuntu power dim screen and dosent show no sign of the battery.

All the guys and linux developers please post a solution for this equipment module.

    Waiting for your answers

    Thank you
