direct parallel
OK I have a problem with the direct parallel driver in Device Manager, it is struck with a 31 impossible code to load the driver, I tried to uninstall it and search for new hardware (shot in the dark that it deems the driver) however I can't uninstall as it may be necessary to start. and Yes, I do not have to restore the driver who didn't work because he is not an old, tried to update, but it claims one installed is the best driver. I uninstalled the network card and reinstalled through the company website not windows update, it did not work, so I tried via windows update and that no longer works. the network is a WIRELESS card intel pro/100 ve. any ideas would be great
Hi Matt,
Are you using the a parallel connection between two computers?
The network your way seems to be to standard Ethernet type and should not require anything pertaining to the parallel port connected network drivers.

Try to set up a direct parallel connection between two computers in Windows XP Home edition
I tried to set up a direct parallel connection between two computers in Windows XP. I have the right cable (CAT 5 Ethernet connection) and you can set up the connection on my own laptop, but when I go through the installer on another laptop it create new connection-establishment of advanced connection--> when the next window opens asking me to choose between "accept incoming connections" and "connect directly to another computer" (which I need to select) for the second option is grayed out and not can not be selected.
The same thing happens when I try to implement the same connection between my laptop and the desktop we have. All of these computers are running on Windows XP service pack 2. I really need help with this because I'm about to start pulling my hair.
Any help would be very, very, much appreciated.

Clean Conversion of Fusion vs Parallels VM install
Ok. I've been running Parallels 10 but I really don't like the direction Parallels disappeared with Version 11. Then...
I try Fusion 8. Successfully, I converted a Win 7 Pro x 64 Parallels VM in a virtual merger machine. The VM looks fine, but I wonder if there is a performance hit as a result of the process of conversion of VM. I installed clean of my virtual machines in Parallels, but nobody knows if there is a difference in performance between a computer virtual converted from Parallels on Fusion and an original VM created in Fusion? It is better to install pure directly on the merger? Did I meet problems with converted VM?
I would Setup rather cool if there could be problems on the road, but it would be nice if I didn't have to create new virtual machines (and probably to call MS to reactivate them).
I've done both and when converting to a virtual machine parallels I go delete the drivers of parallels and then seem not difference. I do go and make sure that I use the same mac address if not a virtual windows machine are going to unsubscribe.
It is faster than the creation of a new virtual machine from scratch.
Better (IMHO) parallels to some of the things windows, better in full screen, better keyboard handling.
But for some reason any Parallels isn't a switch screen (command + ~) which is a pain.

I'm try VMware Fusion for the first time. I already have a virtual XP in Parallels installed on my MacBook Pro machine. The help instructions for importing a Parallels virtual machine to find the .pvs file... However, on my machine, the .pvs file is within a folder file VMware does not open. I tried opening the file in the Finder and using Open with... on the file .pvs, but VMware did not like this method. Can someone help me to import my Parallels VM? Thank you.
Using Parallels 4? If so, then...
VMware Fusion 2 Release Notes - known issues
VMware Fusion 2 does not matter directly Parallels Desktop 4 virtual machines.
Due to a recent change to the file format of virtual machine Parallels, VMware Fusion 2 cannot directly import Parallels Desktop 4 virtual machines. To work around this problem, download and install VMware Converter for Windows in your Parallels virtual machine, Parallels Tools uninstallation and run the VMware Converter to import the PC. The detailed procedure is http://www.vmware.com/download/fusion/windows_to_mac.html.

No problem foundHello
You have posted a lot of info that confuse finally
Generally, the router must manage a pool of IP addresses, the IP addresses should be assigned automatically to each laptop computer that tries to connect to the router.
So in your router settings dynamically assign addresses IP must be activated. In addition, you should check if the MAC address filtering was not activated because this could cause the laptop to connect.
The WLan connection properties contain the TCP/IP protocol. The TCP/IP protocol contains a few options. Here, you must make sure that all (IP address, gateway, DNS) is set to obtain automatically.

Compaq Presario SR5113: Ethernet connection problems
I recently did a clean installation on an old PC and put XP on this machine, it did not find the driver for the ethernet connection and no matter where I'm looking, I can't get the Ethernet to work with that PC. I get the error message about "the wizard cannot find your network hardware. And that I must first install and configure your network cards... The network adapter is part of the motherboard. All "network adapters" I check seem to be "working properly" according to messages. Network adapters that are listed are:
Direct parallel
Miniport Wan (IP)
Wan (IP) - of Miniport Packet Scheduler miniport
Miniport Wan WAN (L2TP)
Miniport WAN (PPPOE)
Miniport Wan WAN (PPTP)
I had to go show hidden devices to see these. Don't know what to do and when I am looking for the drivers on the website of HP, the only rider that appears is the lightscribe update! This isn't really the support for one of their older products.
Clues?
Hello:
DL and install the chipset driver and you should be good to go.

Unable to connect to the internet after the removal of system tool virus
A computer running Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002, Service Pack 3 has got a virus System Tool which I believe I deleted using the key of activation and then run Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. On reboot, the system tool icon was still in the system tray, so I ran Norton 360 to remove unwanted registry files. He got rid of the icon in the system tray. I also then removed the Malwarebytes software. Please note that, while I was removing the virus, I was able to connect to AOL so that in mode safe mode with networking. Finally, who has stopped working. The Malwarebytes software has been downloaded on the infected computer with a flash drive from a computer with working internet.
I cannot now connect to the internet with Internet Explorer 8 or AOL (under standard or secure modes). When you are trying to connect with IE8, the message reads 'Internet Explorer cannot display the web page' and when I run the diagnostic tests, it indicates there is a problem with the modem and/or router. These devices are, however, both the work that there are other computers connected to them and they work.
I tried Microsoft solutions are answers to a similar question. Unfortunately, none of them worked in my situation. They have been in accordance with the following:
No doubt...
What happens when you try to connect to the Internet?
What is your version of XP, the version of Service Pack and IE?
What method did you relieve your system of affection 'Antivir Solution Pro' (how confident you are that you got rid of him)?
Generally, any part of this procedure is necessary after removing Antivir Solution Pro (a well documented removal procedure would have included the steps to cancel Internet connectivity issues). I would get my infected system and try the procedure you used to see how it works.
If, when you try to connect with Internet Explorer, you see something like:
Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage
The most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The Web site encounters problems.
There could be a typing error in the address. We will check your network connection properties.
Some malware will alter these settings and your anti malware software can't tell if you have changed the malware changed them or so, after removal of infections, it will leave just the settings as he finds them (it is usually a good thing), but can leave your Internet disabled in certain situations.
Click Start, run and enter in the box:Inetcpl.cpl
Click OK to start the network settings of Internet control panel applet properties, connections.
Or, in Internet Explorer click on tools, Options, connections, LAN settings.
These settings control your Internet access for all browsers.
On most environments, not independent, there will be check automatically detect settings and the other boxes are (as Proxy Server) is disabled.
Automatically detect the setting checked =
Use the automatic configuration script = unchecked
Use a proxy server for your LAN = not checkedMake changes, then click OK, OK to save the settings.
Check your settings for how your network adapter gets its IP and DNS settings. On most home systems, these parameters must be defined for the system will get the settings automatically.
If you have another system on your network that works, you can compare these settings with the settings of the system which is not a work and make adjustments.
Click Start, settings, Control Panel, network connections, and then select your current network connection.
On the general tab, click Properties.
In the drop down in the Middle, find and highlight the selection of Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and click Properties.
In the Internet Protocol Properties window, the usual selections are to get the IP and DNS settings automatically. Select the following two options:
Obtain an IP address automatically
Get a DNS server address automatically
The rest of the options on the screen should then be grayed out/not available.
Make changes, then click OK, OK to save the settings.
Restart your computer and test your connection.
Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
Also, I typed cmd in the start run box and the command-line entered ipconfig enough and ipconfig/renew. This is also not rectify the situation.

The removal of the virus seems to have taken some required system files. See if the System File Checker helps. Click Start > run and enter in the field open.
sfc/scannow
Press ENTER. The System File Checker must detect the missing necessary files and put back them. If this does not work, use a system restore point from before you were infected. If this does not work, get out of your XP installation diskettes.

Windows xp re - install the trouble of loading network adapter drivers I think?
I work on a pc compaq presario s4020wm for one of my friends, replaced the hard drive and restored Windows XP Home Edition through restore disk, the pc starts, works very well as it should is the problem I'm having the edge network card is not apearing in Device Manager.
now in the Device Manager if you click on view/display devices to the card network appears there and supposedly working properly, but it seems to me that the incorrect device driver was loaded I am really I belive you are looking for is suitable for the network card driver and I can't locate
the network adapter that it shows is as follows
network cards:
direct parallel, map of tun miniport microsoft wan miniport (ip), wan miniport (ip) - miniport sheduler packages wan miniport (l2tp), wan miniport (pppoe) wan miniport (pptp)
I was on the site of hp/compaq and have not found it I was also on the motherboard manufacturer site (mobo is a 'FIC am35") according to everest
I installed service pack 3 from a flash drive, is not to solve the problem, but to make the pc closer as long as I want to go back in i feel if I can find the suitable driver for the network card, it should be resolved any help to find out what will be greatly aprecciated
PC is a: compaq presario s4020wm components stock except the new hard drive
OS: xp sp3 Home premium
mobo: FIC am35 network adapter is integrated and I don't found no labelling on it
I am stump no idea what to do any help would be awsome
Hello
That can occur if the network adapter does not work. For example, hardware problem.
If the card is equipped with a card, check in the BIOS if it is enable.
If not, try another PCI card (shouldn't cost more than $10).

Trainer P3005 P3005: Card and networking
Hello everyone, I have a P3005 which was originally bought as a non "N" machine, (I think it was cheaper for them at the time), so it was connected via a direct parallel to an external jet cable. trainer went bad and I replaced it. the new trainer, they ordered is not a parallel to this topic. It has an ethernet and usb (had to remove the back leg to get even the map to place such that there is no opening of the ethernet on the media).
so the machine does not see the ethernet while it is plugged, the I\O menu has only an option of I/O waiting period, no option to configure an IP address or anything like that. I thought installing the interface was all in the trainer card, so when I replaced it, he can see. but apparently not.
so question is, is it possible to get the Ethernet to work on it? I thought firmware but the map FW datecode 20141217 02.190.3, which I think is the most recent. or maybe it's a different trainer is going to do? I do not think that this machine (or at least don't see anywhere) will support or connect to a stream. This is possible in a machine of "N"? or if not, what else on the machine it would block?
Thanks for any help
The network port can be used but won't unless you have the necessary memory. The base model came with 48mg or RAM and network model comes with 80 MB of ram. You need to add I think that a chip from 32 Meg to the Board of Directors and the network card will be considered. The reference is CB420A. Just check the memory on the config page, and if it is 48 MB and no chip in the slot, then 32 is all you need. If less 48Mo then you will need 64 MB chip. If it still does not just add an EIO network card into a slot on the trainer. It should work as I have used the cards myself.

What is the appropriate amount of space?
Hello
I spend parallels with Fusion 2.0. I intend to import my existing parallels fusion VM using the merge import feature. Currently, there are close to 30 GB of data on my drive hard virtual parallels. Should I do something else to make molten you that there is enough room for all my data and also to give me room to grow?
Thank you.
Probably the most important thing is the amount of free space exists on the host computer to a point in time and everything else is secondary to that. Import a Machine virtual directly Parallels with Fusion 2.x will not change the maximum size of the virtual hard drive to something less then it is and you can enlarge after importation and if you want total control in both directions during the process then use VMware vCenter Converter Standalone.
As for the amount of space you need, you need not less the size now occupied by the contents of the virtual hard drive, assuming that your no pre-allocation, the amount of RAM assigned to the virtual machine and space adding operational overhead from the point of view of the merger and the Virtual Machine itself more and extra space needed to grow while you and only you can answer This question and do the math to go with how much free space in the host now and move forward.

Insert adds parallel sessions expect "direct path read temp".
Hi all.
The database is 11.2.0.3 on a linux machine.
I published the following query, and I found that parallel query sessions were waiting for "direct path read temp.
And SDPCSM. Table SDP_CHILD_SVC_PROFATTR_HIS does NOT index and is in nologging mode.
Why the pq sessions expect "direct path read/write temp?
Thanks in advance.insert /*+ append parallel (8) */ into SDPCSM.SDP_CHILD_SVC_PROFATTR_HIS select /*+ parallel (SDP_CHILD_SVC_PROFATTR_HIS_E, 8) */ * from SDPCSM.SDP_CHILD_SVC_PROFATTR_HIS_E@tb_link;

Why a parallel query use direct path read?
I think because the cache must Access pads, lock and lock on buffer block if parallel query do not reading of the direct path, parallel queries will be affected by the serialization as the latch and oracle .so lock mechanism choose direct path read to avoid what he.
that someone has a good idea?

actually, Yes, I think that's it. The parallel query is designed to scan very much, because the load of communication between processes and maintenance/commissioning the parallel slave makes inefficient operation for small segments.
So I guess that the assumption is that the segment to analyze is probably very large, the fraction of the blocks in the buffer cache is very low compared to the blocks to scan and so the fresh reduction General read directly blocks without moving through all the questions of serialization of the buffer cache should prevail on the issue of blocks "unbuffered" and save the buffer for objects cache more benefit from development caching.
Kind regards

I can't connect to shared network computers. Not a problem already before the update to OS X El Capitan. The computers appear in the Finder under heading Shared, but when I try to connect it says connection failed. However, under Parallels Windows 7 I can properly connect via the shortcut or mapped drive. Any suggestions?
El Capitan is a bit fussy about safety. Try
Finder > go > connect to server...
and enter the address of the server explicitly in the dialog box that appears.
