  It is now April 19, 2015 and tiles of Windows 8.1 still do not work.   Unfortunately, the Metro user interface is a POS when it works.   When it isn't all what I can tell, it's 'Why Msft never release this OS?'.

  In fact, I'm guessing it's a POS when it works because I never got any of the tiles preinstalled to work.   Those that I added work.   If we use the desktop computer.   Why can't metro tiles works somewhat like the icons on the desktop?   Seems pretty easy to me.   But it must be very hard because the 100,000 employees of msft paid a lot of money just can't get there.

  Who knows maybe the msft guy is right and my QHD of 2880 x 1620 laptop monitor is not high enough resolution.

  They work now!  I've deleted and reinstalled them after execution, the control of disk or repair.

  If the people at MSFT, calendar and Mail knit.

• CS Design Standard disc 5.5 broken & install Direct link does not work

  My Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard drive does not work and my prior contact with Adobe, I was given the links below to help me install the program:

  The aforementioned links files have completed download in the same folder (several times many attempts) and I can't get the installation program.  I get the following error message:

  "The game archive file from Adobe CS5.5 Design Standard is missing."  You need all parts in the same folder in order to extract Adobe CS5.5 Design Standard.  "Please download all parts.

  As I have made several attempts, (and the link .7z does more - access denied) all I can reason is I was maybe given the "Design Premium" link rather than the appropriate link "standard".  Otherwise, I can't figure out what I need to do differently to get this install to start.  Any ideas?

  these links are incorrect.  one is to design standard and one for design premium.  They both must match, premium or standard that you want.

  8.1 Overview.

  None of my Microsoft work tiles.  Do third parties.

  A ran the "repair apps" - secuirity indicated and the files corrupted > restart the computer... not good.

  Went to WinStore clicked on the applications of stor... spinning spinning.

  Last week, I was prompet to change my windows password to my msn.com password I did.  That may have ruined things

  I think that my situation was self-induced.

  I just bought the 8.1 and replaced the preview.  I was playing with it.

  Out of curiosity, I followed the instructions from the link and it worked then.

  There were tiles I needed for corrections that I couldn't access and that was the problem.

  Not sure, I understand the need to use a container of form, but if you want an easy solution, try to use a FormHeading to show labels instead of set the FormItem label:

  News tile in Start menu it works dynamically, such as sports or travel tiles. I reinstall windows app but still does not. This morning, I find an update for the news, but still does not work. I can't configure my RSS, just to see the sources all over the world, by continents.

  In the weather app right click and setting should appear on top. Click sites and add the new location.

Windows Update does not work either. How can I make Windows 8 tiles working again?   Method 1: Scan files (SFC) system auditor

  Make the SFC scan on your computer and check to see if that solves the problems.

• tiles of Windows 8 & shortcuts not working does not and can not get cmd prompt

  Currently have a friends laptop to look at as they were able to add a user. When I connected to my wifi I beieve an update has been installed and now tiles and shortcuts will not work and can not get command prompt.

  Win + R key comes box but cones with errorwhen all orders entered for example cmd msconfig etc.

  CTRL-SHIFT-Escape is the direct shortcut for Task Manager.

  If you can't have the power button to enter safe mode, you can do it from the login screen.  Restart your computer, but do not connect.  The login screen, use the power icon and hold down SHIFT while you click on restart.  This will take you to the menu troubleshooting then you can try to refresh.
