  Hi all

  I have a Bold 9000 on o2 (UK) network running on 4.6.0.303.  I noticed on the download page dedicated to my carrier on blackberry.com v5.0 is finally available for the 9000 "BOLD".  I then downloaded and installed, but the Desktop Manager fails to recognize and offer only 4.6 for my "BOLD".  Even when I try the software update in the Desktop Manager it tells me that my device is up-to-date.  I never "doctored" files or original firmware and used only never before Desktop Manager to install updates of the firmware.

  I waited for centuries for my network offer the new firmware so it's frustrating that now, it appeared, I can actually do something with it.  Any help / advice greatly appreciated.

  You have already found form your carrier, downloaded and installed the operating system on your PC?

  Make a backup of your device first, using Desktop Manager > backup. Close the office at the end Manager.

  1. download the OS files to the PC then install on the PC by running (double click) the downloaded file.
  2. go in c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
  3. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  All of a sudden my phone will not erase rom my mailbox messages. It the brand as being deleted and adds a 0 messages to the e-mail address itself, but continues to show there and contrinues to show up as unread messaes.

  I have Blackberry 7100i that I'm unable to have the Desktop Manager detect. I'm under Blackberry 4.6 on Windows Vista Edition full version. I did the installation and removal of the battery of the phone and in the device manager that the USB is recognized Blackberry device. I'm really disappointed there is not a clear answer for what seems to be the common problem. I've tried versions 4.3.4.5. and now 4.6 all with the same problem. In connections, I'm clicking on USB option and in these versions, there is not a detection option. Someone has a simple answer? Office Manager says I am disconnected. Phone readsV4.1.0136. Any help would be appreciated.

  Bravo... Decided to uninstall and re - install it using Internet Explorer instead of Firefox... Firefox had the problem

  I just got a Verizon BB Bold 9650.  I have an iMac running the latest version of Snow Leopard.  I downloaded the Desktop Manager and it sync was my calendars and notes but not my contacts.  Contacts is gray and it has this message:

  Contacts are currently configured for a wireless sync.

  To synchronize the Contacts with the BB Desktop Manager, disable the wireless sync by opening address book on your device and in the Options menu, by selecting your AddressBook and changing the field of no. wireless sync reconnect your device and try to synchronize again.

  The only options I get are to sort and separate or allow duplicate names or views confirm the deletions.

  I clicked on each tab and I can find the button and there is no option anywhere wireless sync.  Manual provided with the phone and the manual in PDF format are both pretty useless.  It's as if they were designed for another phone running a different os because I can't find half of what I'm looking for by following their instructions.

  It's very frustrating because the main reason I went with the BB because they announced that their phone to synchronize with the mac address book and calendars.

  YEA - my contacts are now on my BB bold.  With the assistance of Verizon.  On my phone, to go down as a result of get to the wireless sync option.

  Open contacts

  Press the menu button

  Click on options

  Choose the e-mail address

  Then, you have the option of wireless sync.

  Apparently the gmail accounts auto together towards the top for wireless synchronization but the OS X address book do not like that.  You must disable the gmail wireless synchronization (this includes all .edu also addresses) and then can be synced to the BB.

• Elements of indicator of blackBerry Smartphones will not erase

  I have an indicator of unread mail that appears to be suspended, the little email icon remains in the bar under the weather, but I don't have any unread emails on any of my accounts.  If I change the number of display Message setting under options in my file of messages to zero, the icon disappears, but I don't want to turn off these indicators, I want to just get rid of one who is hanged.

  First place to start is the traction battery (hard reset) listed below.

  No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated.
  Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-3 min, see if the problem is corrected.

  You can go to the main message queue, press menu > folders > scroll down and check each folder.

  For an unopened message or you can use the search function of device:

  I recommend a search because it shows all messages unopened and indicators.

  The queue of messages main to search:
  service = all THE SERVICES
  file: all THE RECORDS
  Show: not ONLY LU

  type = ALL

  This sounds like a job for the famous battery pull!

  With your phone, remove the battery, then replace a minute later.

  Which will usually be free some memory and make your phone more smooth.

  If you do not manually by pulling the battery, you can find applications on AppWorld that will simulate a battery pull without having to actually pull the battery.

  Do you clock for a minute or two and it becomes empty, if yes, this is normal. You can lengthen the time that the backlight stays on in options > keyboard/screen.

• BlackBerry smartphones can not erase the music file information

  I have a problem loading music on my 8830.  I have a 4 GB memory card, but I can't figure out how to erase the music I deleted.

  Cancel the request.  I could restart the BB and delete the old file information.  Found a few old son who had the same problem.

  Hello, I use a Torch 9860 FW 7.0.0.585, which is connected through Desktop Software 6.1 with a Windows PC (Outlook 2003/XP Prof SP3). This morning, I met a weird problem. Connect my BB with my PC, I decided to check the installed applications since I've updated the FM last night (via software updater from my camera).

  Big surprise! Except a few Apps (WhatsApp, a scanner for barcode, GPS-Logger) no other apps or FW facilities therein. The day before the FW all list of facilities one all paty apps 3rd place indicated in one neat, long - now: nothing except these few applications. I tried to reinstall the Desktop und reconnected my device software - but to no avail.

  Anyone have a similar problem?

  I'm a little worried about changing to say packages installed language or other preferences FW since I don't know any other way, then use the application button in the desktop software to do this. In the current state, it would be impossible.

  I would be very grateful for some tips or tricks.

  My DM contained only the 'old' FM, not the updated version. I downloaded the new version of my website providers, installed on my computer, restarted DM and: voila - all applications including basic software has shown once again in the Apploader.

  I have a few facebook messages blocked on my device, I removed them from facebook, but they will not remove the handset.  Most recent messages have been deleted, but not the older and I need to know how to remove them.

  Help! I get these notices up on my home page when I receive new email, SMS, BBM and software updates.

  I can't remove the notice or clear the cache on the Blackberry App World that appears. Goes on to say: I have 4 updates, I went in each, and I don't want to update. How can I delete this notice on my home screen? It will not erase with any key menu and I don't know a shortcut to clear it.

  I think it is draining my battery. Help, please.

  For mark as read you just select the message, press menu, you will see "open brand". To delete several messages highlight the first message, press SHIFT (aA) then roll your trackpad, after select press menu, then 'delete messages '.
