DirectX issue

I want to install a game not supported by directx 10, destroy install directx 9 directx 10 capabilities for Crysis and other games supported by directx 10

Hello

Windows Vista will not allow the installation of directx 9 because that directx 10 comes integrated and cannot be replaced.
Anyway, the games that are compatible with 9 live are automatically allowed to run with directx 10.

If you get an error message about directx, post back.

  • Direct3D/DirectX issues

I have several games that I have who recognize no more ability to Direct3D to my video card.  I've updated the DirectX and video card drivers, but the problem continues to persist.

The question seems to arise with the games that were released during the time when Windows XP is the primary operating system.  I have very little problem with games released on Windows 98 or 95, or more recent games.  It seems to be limited to the games released during the life of XP.

I'm currently under Vista Home Premium on a laptop Compaq F700, and I kept on updates for DirectX and my drivers video card (a card nVidia GeForce 7000 M/Nforce 610).  No idea as to what is happening?

    Hi NeoSilverThorn,

Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!

As you have already updated the video driver, you can check if the games are vista compatible. Link below will help you to check if the program is compatible with Windows Vista: Windows Vista Compatibility Center

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/

Run the game in compatibility mode of Windows programs in Microsoft

    i. right click on the link of the program that you want to resolve.

    II. click on properties.

III. click on the Compatibility tab.

IV. click on run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows XP

    v. under display settings, click to select the mode that you think that is necessary for the program works correctly:

    a. run in 256 colors.

    b. run in 640 X 480 screen resolution.

    c. disable visual themes.

VI. click on apply and then click OK.

    VII. double-click on the program.

    Hope this information is useful.

Let me know if it worked.

    All the best!

    Hello

As far as I know, this unit was delivered with a Mobile Intel 915 GM Express Chipset AlvisoGM graphics card.
Toshiba recommends to use own graphics card drivers, because they are specially designed for the use of the laptop.
    Please check this pilot site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU

There you should find a driver 6.14.10.3943 version.

But usually it of not easy to say why you game won t run.

  • Satellite A80: Update DirectX 9 .0c to play Call of Duty 2

    Hello

It's Carlos. I have a portable Satellite A80, and I want to update the display driver to be able to play Call of Duty 2, in need of a Directx 9 .0c compatibility. Yet since 2005 it has some new drivers from Toshiba Web site. The last driver I have is compatible with DirectX 9. 0b. But the game does not work in my PC.

Toshiba will issue a new driver in the near future, or should I forget play this game because my laptop becomes obsolete?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

In my opinion, it is not necessary to update the display driver to install DirectX 9 c.
You can download it from the Microsoft DirectX Web site. Then try to install the new application.
Usually there should be no problem to update this version of DirectX.
    Check it out.

  • Satellite P850 - 31L PSPKFE - DirectX crashing

    Hello!

    I recently bought a:

    Satellite P850 - 31L
    Part number: PSPKFE-00P007EN

and I'm very happy with the laptop overall. However, I have problems running 3 Crysis and Assassin Creed 3 on the device.

In both cases, that they often crash to the desktop and are followed by a journal of events applications such as:

The failing application name: crysis3.exe, version: 1.2.0.0, time stamp: 0x02f47040
The failed module name: d3d11.dll, version: 6.2.9200.16420, time stamp: 0x505a95af
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Offset: 0x00068dd7

Its pretty easy to see that the problem is related to DirectX 11 on the nVidia card.

I have a laptop specifications lower HP with a 230M nVidia GeForce series running Assassin Creed 3 without problem (although it won't run Crysis 3 due to the lack of Dx11 support).

I have tried to update the drivers for nVidia display current offical those on Satellite, but am prevented from doing so because of the soft lock used in Toshiba hardware.

I am currently using the drivers of December on the Toshiba site.

This isn't a problem with gambling, it is a driver problem. Referenced games are just as good as the test tools. Please don't move this post, it obscures the issue. Or Tosh he must release the lock or to update driver.

    Thanks in advance,

    Crispian

  • Problems of DirectX running Win7 via Bootcamp on Macbook Pro

    Hello world.

So I installed Win7 64-bit on my Macbook Pro (Intel Dup 2.66 GHz, 4 GB DDR3, NVidia GT 9400 M) using bootcamp eager to play games. I kind of want to go pick up Starcraft 2, but I don't want to buy a mac version of a game as much as I could get a PC of office within the next year some time.

Anyway, so when I run the games, usually they are simply launching without saying anything or it will give me some message about Direct3D. Then, when I go in the DirectX diagnostic tool, it lists acceleration DirectDraw, Direct3D and TGP of texture as 'not available '. I checked and made sure the hardware acceleration has been at the highest level, who he was.

Then, I went online to see what others were doing, and I found in a few places where people were installing DirectX 9.0 with DirectX 11 coming with Win7. I tried to install it and I get the following error message:

"Internal error System. Please refer to DXerror.log and DirectX.log in your Windows folder. »

From there I wanted to just post a few places and see if someone else has fallen on these issues running Win7 on a mac, or something like that. I know that these laptops are supposed to run games on bootcamp pretty well, but I can't seem to overcome this problem. Looking for a next step.

    Thanks for reading.

I would check to make sure you have your video drivers properly installed also.

On the note of StarCraft 2, there is no separate versions.  As more cross-platform games nowadays they are delivered with the binary Windows and Macintosh on the same disk.

  • Issue of HD Codec IDT Audio Glitching

I just purchased a DV7 4045ea and have had many problems with the sound, causing usually skip and stutter in Skype/ventrillo and games (and including Starcraft 2). These requests when jumping and stuttering occurs it causes a massive load on the processors at the same time. Skype/vent is similar to CD audio to skip. In games (sc2 is my main game) the result is a stuttering game when an audio effect is read, if I turn off the music and effect of the background of the problem are less frequent. If I play music the game stutters all the time.

In fact, that Norton has reported several times that anything that uses the audio device is causing excessive load on the processors, as well as audiodg (google, a lot of probs with her new vista) was once a cause of the load.

Now, it's interesting, if I play SC2 tab on so he always plays to the screen (ie the lappy still plays the graphics and game engine) but the audio is not, the processors in charge going straight down.

I did regular proposed tasks are:

Updated all drivers through HP assistant

Manual update of windows and the device drivers audio BIOS and graphics card.

Disabled the sound improvements on reading devices (which was a common problem in Vista)

Restore audio drivers (currently my system has all the latest however)

The returned driver updates now seemed have aggravated the issue! Even if I use SC2 for example, please note this happens with another application its just SC2 is the easest for me reproduce the problem on.

After that some research it seems that a lot of people with the IDT audio device high definition have similar problems. One common difficulty is to allow windows to use the generic drivers. However if I remove the driver, windows just reload the IDT codec, if I stop my just audio devices are not recognized. If this can be the solution for me or not is another issue, I suppose.

Please, if anyone can help can they advise me because its makes me round the twist! I feel aggrieved that a laptop computer £ 1000 performs worse than my old man of 300 pounds (who plays SC2 and aeration/Skype with problems what so ever).

The one who can get me a fix wins a bar free March!

  • Windows 7 Professional, DirectInput issues and software that does not work

A little history: I have Vista Business installed and about 1 1/2 months, I've upgraded to Windows 7 Professional. I attend game and Sim classes that require me to use the Torque Game Builder, Torque Game Engine and Builder of couples of programming. I got Torque Game Builder and constructor not installed with Vista which game me no problem, I upgraded to Windows 7, installed torque game engine. First worked. Recently installed UnRealEd, 3DS max, Maya, Mudbox, MotionBuilder, all work ok. In 2 weeks, when I try to launch the products of couple, they do not work. They appear in the process, but they do not work, when I run in compatibility mode, disable visual themes and disable the composition of the bureau, run as admin, the screen flickers, past at the base, the program does not work. I've updated ALL my drivers from the manufacturer with the last site, I rolled back my drivers to the previous version, I performed a complete installation of Windows 7, tried using a virtual XP Mode machine and create a partition and have a dual boot with Vista business as well. All program worked in a first time in Windows Vista, but not 7. I could also access the program installed in Windows 7 drive and he would run as long as I was on Vista OS. I would then run DXDiag, when it runs, I get, 'DxDiag has detected that there may have been a DirectInput access problem last time that this program has been used. You want to bypass DirectInput this time? "I checked both BONES and found this to be the same issue. I don't remember when I ran the programs recently on Vista and I did a DXDiag, I had data entry.

Now, I did too, the last Installation program installation of DirectX web and Auditor files system who finds no problem

    My system configuration is:

Dual Boot: Windows 7 Professional, Windows Vista Business
    AMD 64 + 5000 double
    nVidia 8600 GT
    2 GB memory

The only other program I can tell who has a problem is UnRealEd... all my work of Autodesk products.
