Disappeared from the graphics card

Hi, I'm using r4 Alienware M17x with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675 M. Yesterday I got the blue screen and once the laptop has rebooted the gpu has stopped working. I checked the Device Manager and could not find the driver after showing hidden devices and when I check the details, he said that the card is not connected. I disconnected the graphics card and reconnected and nothing happened. I tried to download the latest version of the driver and he told me that the I do not have the compatible hardware. I checked the BIOS and I found "discreet figure 1: not detected" I have updated the BIOS and OSD driver and tried switching using [fn] + [F7] and still nothing happened. I also checked dxdiag and she did not show the graphics card. can anyone please help me I'm out of ideas!

After all the troubleshooting steps you have done, we can determine that the video card is damage; are you still under warranty?

A SyncMaster has been connected to the out display with a dongle and a DVI cable Port. The other SyncMaster was connected to the DVI output on the graphics card. So I decided to buy these two U2414Hs. Technical support Dell after many phone calls and e-mails finally advised me that there is a problem of "compatibility" between my computer and the U2414Hs and recommended that I return the monitors. On the web site of the U2414H AMD has not been certified by AMD to work in a DisplayPort 1.2 STD Set Up. Other former Dell monitors are certified by AMD to work in the Display Port 1.2 Setup. DisplayPort.org lists the U2414H to work with Display Port (it does not say that it will work in a DisplayPort 1.2 Set Up).

The monitors provide excellent clarity when you work. The stand is ideal for office property. Before these monitors are returned if no one knows what causes these two problems and does anyone have a solution? Should I stop using the Display Port 1.2 and hang them using HDMI with active dongles? If I have to return these two U2414Hs, I considered the 2 two U2413s. Thanks for any input.

I had to remove my VGA HDMI DV card and now the DP (display port) works very well. Don't need to use a HDMI cable. Display Port 1.1 is reported as the problem in order to remove the card solves this problem.

  • Failure message from the graphics card Dell Inspiron 580 s

    Hello

A week ago I was on my PC and I get a black screen, saying: my graphics card has failed and needs to restart the PC. So I did and it worked perfectly afterwards, so I don't think anything at the time. Yesterday, I got exactly the same problem occurs, then I ask it to see if I need to replace or not. My graphics is the graphics card Intel (R) Graphics integrated 4000. The PC is 6 years old and has been used a lot, so I think it's towards the end of his life.

Thank you for what you never answer and if you need more information, just ask.

  • Why yellow disappears from the graphics when the project is published?

Our Captivate 6 project has two images which include the yellow color (ffff00).  One is a .bmp and the other is a .png file.   When the project is published on our Adobe Connect Server or in a file SWF (Adobe Flash player 10) the yellow color becomes white on the output.

What is the cause and how to fix this?

    yellow before.pngyellow after.png

    Hello

Captivate does everything in his power to be friendly bandwidth so that the end user doesn't have to wait for masses of data to be transferred down the wire. This framework is to define the quality of sliding to the lowest. You may need to adjust to be optimized in order to obtain the yellow to render correctly.

It will affect the size of the resulting a little file, that's why you are notified by a dialog box. But if it's a slide here and there, set the quality and see if yellow returns. (Drag the Panel properties, General section)

If you adapt to almost all the slides you want to click Edit > Preferences > project section > size SWF and quality.

  • Failure of the graphics card on the Satellite A100-405

    Hello

I have a Toshiba A100-405, which has a Geforce go 7600 graphics (specifications).
Yesterday, playing a game, all of a sudden the frozen screen and showed a lot of horizontal stripes.
I tried to restart the computer, but succeeded only in safe mode. The bands have not disappeared. (funny colors, such as low resolution, stripes, blocks, etc.)

Question 1: Is my assumption that the graphics card is in correct failure?

Question 2: Can this card easily replace? And if so, which would cost only? (in EUROS)

    Looking forward to your answers.

    Roel

    Hello

These funny funny colors, as low resolution, stripes, blocks are called artifacts (adverse alteration in the data, introduced by a technical and/or technological). It seems that the dysfunction of the graphics card. To be sure, connect the external monitor to check. Talk about the replacement, if it is integrated in the motherboard, the entire motherboard must be replaced. It costs about 35% of the total price computer laptop, as you can see that it is quite expensive.

Also, from my own experience I know, sometimes these artifacts occur because of the graphics card overheating due to dust. Do not be lazy to clean the laptop with the jet of compressed air. Otherwise, contact the ASP (SAV) and prepare the money.

  • Huge problem with the graphics card. Help me pls!

Unfortunately my pc is not guaranteed, so my last hope is here on the forum.

    I have Dell Inspiron 580

Ok.So the problem was that I found myself not being able to open My Nvidia Control Panel to verify customization as one of my games was so bad. That's why I found that my disappeared from Nvidia and Intel HD Core i3 graphics took place.

And yes my pc used to run with Nvidia I have proof: P

I must say that for me (as a heavy gamer) was a great kick as Intel uses all my CPU and my games become so difficult to play.

I have tried everything that I could to restore the return of Nvidia (except one: to reinstall windows) but not one chance :(

Reinstalling the drivers did not help actually I don't even know the type of driver that I need because that Nvidia is not found.

Any advice? It will go to normal if I reinstall windows?

Thanks guys and sorry for my bad English :D

    Hi Georgina26,

You use the graphics card onboard because your monitor is connected to the video port badly. Turn off the system, unplug the video cable and connect it to the video card into the PCIe slot.

If you are not familiar with the snap of a monitor on the back of your computer, please let me know and I will give a link to some photos.

  • How issues disappear from the forum?

How issues disappear from the first forum?  Since I have a GTX 480 and I am interested in learning how a significant official support for reading of mercury's, pirate vs support, I had entered a question to solicit feedback from the owners of GTX 470 graphics cards.  A person with almost 12,000 jobs railed against my post, I answered, and you'll find is no longer my post.

Is there a problem with the forum software?

    Steve,

Don't remember not this post, but then things were pretty fast and furious in the forum of CS5.

Now, there are two ways that the messages may disappear, or appear to do so:

(1.) a moderator can block a thread or can turn things in a new thread. This just happened today, but the two sons of original are always there, just not separated.

2.) adobe admin can delete a thread (do not think that a MOD can do - only lock, move or branch?), but would probably not, unless it is obviously spam. Even in this case, the thread probably would remain, with all URLS "[Edited by Host]" or similar.

(3.) a moderator can move a thread, saying if it was posted on the forum of CS5 and it was really regarding CS4, or earlier. This can also happen, if a thread is best suited for the Hardware Forum (this would be my first guess in your case), or in the living room, if I managed to slide too far off-topic. See the Hardware Forum, because that's where I expect such a post to be.

4.) when Adobe went with the new software, many old messages went to heaven bit that I highly doubt that anything like that happened here. We lost a few positions when there was a major update of Jive, but it has not been an update in ~ 8 mos.

5.) there is often no messages, if they have access to the forum by e-mail instead of a browser. I guess with some flow, which could happen also, but not sure.

Good luck and check the Hardware Forum.

    Hunt

PS - usually, when Jeff, Jerry.K, Curt, et al, move a message, they try to make the poster to know. Yet, with CS5.0.2 hitting and all traffic, perhaps they slid upward, ran completely out of time, or tried and failed in the notification. Most likely, if one of the MOD he stirred, they will jump in full and report making. They are great, though sometimes the details could be lost on a busy day, especially if they're trying to out of town to be with their families on a holiday (US) weekend to indulge in their "afterlife." Alternatively, they could be packing to avoid a hurricane - Earl.

  • Satellite A200-1AX - overheating of the graphics card in Windows 7 64 bit

    Hello.

After installing Windows 7 64 bit can't find the correct work display driver.
Fan does not work quickly, by the suite and heavy applications is overheating and the laptop is turned off.
Not able to find a driver for Windows7 64 bit or Vista 64-bit for my card on the Toshiba site.

The site of AMD.com a driver for Radeon 2XXX series:
Windows 7-64 bit ATI Catalyst a? ¢ Display Driver Version: 9.9, Edition Release
Date: 09/09/2009. -Drivers do not help.

I tried to increase the fan speed you programs 'ATI Tray Tools', has not helped.

Please help me with my problem. Sorry for my English

    Hello

The drivers of Toshiba laptops are a bit different and not the same thing as the drivers from the manufacturer of the graphics card.
The original ATI drivers are made for office use and not for mobile use. Drivers Toshiba takes supported thermal protection that allows to control the performance of gpu and the dissipation of the heat.
If you want to use a page ATI driver then your GPU could create more heat as usual which leads to the unexpected shutdown.

I installed Win 7 on my A210. I didn't install the driver of ATI graphics card because the Win 7 automatically recognizes the graphics chip.
After installation, I went to the Device Manager. Then, I chose the graphics chip and looked for the driver automatically. Windows has found the right driver and installed this
Since the unit works perfectly with Win 7

  • Can I update the graphics card in my laptop?

    Hi people,

I want to know if I can upgrade the graphics card to my laptop.

Now, a day most of the high-end gaming is not

working in my laptop and I'm very disappointed.

Please let me know if I can do it. My laptop model

    HP  Pavilion DV5 1106AX.

    Hello:

Unfortunately in most laptops today (including your own), the graphics may not be upgraded.

I watched the service manual for your laptop, and there is no similarly to other motherboards with better graphics available.

You can try the latest drivers from AMD to see if that helps, but you can't do anything with the material.

  • Problems with the graphics card on Satellite Pro M10

Hi, this is my first post on the forum. I'm not a pro with computers or anything... the problem I have with my laptop is similar to the one in this thread:

    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=26849&TSTART=0

I spent half the day trying to figure out if my graphics card is broken, but since I'm a newbie with this stuff, I'm still not sure. :(

This is what makes my M10. I'm trying to describe the symptoms that detailed as possible, but I'm German, so please excuse my lack of words in some places.

    1. when I turn it on, the laptop goes through the BIOS and give me scrambled BACK-screens and a slightly Warped windows loading bar. There is the consistency check, marked by black bars connecting the top of the screen down. After the audit, the screen goes black and nothing happens, or the screen of will just show me consistency check, do nothing. Be that as it may, I have to turn off the power (I think) and restart the laptop.

    2. sometimes the laptop goes through the BIOS checking & conistency with a few graphical shortcomings. The office is anything but shredded when he gets to the screen of the Windows user. The static method is if serious I don't even know where is the button turn off.

    3. sometimes Notepad starts very well, with the only graphic problem being the windows loading bar. When I go into Windows, the laptop pulls me a blue screen and stops immediately.

    4. sometimes, the laptop works fine for about an hour or two. After I rebooted, I have the same problems listed above, once again.

    5. If I open Device Manager and disable the graphics card, the laptop works very well. I have to lower the screen resolution and colors, but I can watch videos on youtube and everything. Finally, the laptop gets very hot on the bottom and the screen goes crazy again, so I turn the damn thing off.

I don't know what that means! If my graphics card is broken, the screen should be all static, ALL the time? Not just sometimes more,... could sometimes less be some sort of communication problem between the graphics card and cpu? Please help me with this!

Another thing I'm not sure about, even after reading the thread I linked above - can I replace the graphics card or not? Everyone said something different in the other thread...

    see you soon,
    Cozmo

Edit: maybe I will add when I got the screen scrambled and everything. I installed Civilization 4, just to check if my satellite pro can handle, and everything went well for a while. The screen then haywire and I rebuilt my whole system, but display problems did not disappear completely. They were gone for almost a month, and now they are 'back' or something.

    Hi Cozmo

I'm not a technician but here nobody needs technical knowledge to see that there certainly is hardware problem. I also believe that this problem occurs due to the graphics card. Graphics card is part of the motherboard and it cannot be traded separately. The entire motherboard must be exchanged.

In my opinion, you have two options: either contact the authorized service provider in your country and speak with them, what can be done, or try to get the motherboard used. If you are lucky, you can find it on eBay. I already bought several hardware components for my old Satellite P10 on eBay.

Sorry Cozmo but I do not see any other logical solution for you.

    Good luck!

  • Tecra M2: Can play a game of the graphics card?

It seems that play Flight Simulator could destroy the graphics card on the laptop! I never thought this would be possible. I gave a friend my old Tecra M2 (as a wedding gift) which he also uses to play FS9. A few years ago, he had to have the motherboard replaced (Fortunately it's still under warranty then) because it has become defective. This has happened while he was playing FS9. I never thought that at that time.

It seems like the same problem comes up again, but this time the laptop isn't under warranty anymore. Nothing has been changed on the video card to "accelerate" or "chip" or another - it is standard at the factory. The latest drivers are installed for the Nvidia GeForce FX Go5200 32 M / 64 M and the portable computer has 1 GB of RAM (and a lot of space on the HARD disk).

At startup, the Toshiba logo has green vertical lines. The Windows logo also has the same symptoms, the vertical lines. I was able to boot in safe mode, a few times, then it started normally (I was onto a winner of thought), but now it seems just blue screen and reboot after Windows Logo (even if I didn't no reset in case of failure). After the reboot, I got a blue screen (BSOD not usual) with the next STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0 x 01010101, 0xF7911378, 0xF7911074).

Any ideas? I'd be really upset if I found out that a game could physically cause a motherboard to replace on a laptop! If this is true, can someone tell me how to prevent it in the future? I have a Tecra M3 and I don't want to happen to me either!

    Thank you!

    -Emm.

    Hi mate,

the fact is that I would NEVER play FS9 even on my machine which is a Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz with 1 GB of RAM and a geforce 7800GS.
Flight Simulator 9 needs AS many system resources and in your case it s like you take 500 tons of steel and throw on a single donkey.

The M2 is a pure business machine and not scheduled to play these games like FS9 needing beasts of machines to run * correctly *. Maybe the older games are playable, but I think that it s right that FS9 could probably damaged your graphics unit (overheating).
You won´t move swap the motherboard and let your FS9 fingers when you hold an M2 or M3 or a set of non-game in your hands.

The man, who is ill, the poor M2 then FS9... :D

Clear from the statement to me: Yes, a game CAN probably damage a portable system, but not for sure! And an M2/M3 is not to play these games. Rather spent the money for a system with a Geforce 8600 Core2Dou or something similar.

    Welcome them

  • Can I replace the graphics card on Tecra M2?

I have a Tecra M2 and the display shows verticle lines across the entire screen. These lines also appear when plugged upward on a normal screen.
I checked Device Manager and it says that the nvidia card "cannot start." The problems had me uninstall and won't reinstall, no luck.
Next option is to unplug and then plug back in, but is it possible? If it is separate would rather just replace the card. Thanks for any help.

    Chase

From your description of the error, this really sounds like a malfunction of the GPU (graphics processing unit).
Unfortunately, it is a serious offense and if a replacement of material you will not be able to fix this :(

It is a case value because you can not only replace the graphics card. You need to replace the whole motherboard because the GPU is soldered on the Board and cannot be removed easily.

There is nothing to my buddy.
Seems that you need to contact a support technician.

    Good luck

I reinstalled DirectX, but I'm not sure of the video card.

Any ideas what driver I need?

    Hi mate

This unit supports the Mobile Intel GL40 graphics card.
The latest graphics card driver can be downloaded from the Intel page.
    See the Intel Web site.

The installation of the graphics card must be made in the Device Manager.
Here, you use the Advanced installation procedure which allows to point to the driver files downloaded from the Intel page.
