Disconnecting blackBerry smartphones

Storm 2 9520 4 weeks, operating system up-to-date.

Problem is when someone rings me the phone disconnects the call. I get about 30 seconds worth of conversation and then she cut and says "disconnected". Even when I phone the same thing happens.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Network of Vodafone in the United Kingdom, used.

Any ideas?

Made battery pull work, no problems now, touch wood!

    Dear BlackBerry Desktop Software Support

I just happened on a problem that just started while my phone is connected to this PC you by writing.

In the last hour, my phone has been cut more than 10 times and I do not see why it does this.

The connectors are stable, but occasionally the phone disconnected and reconnects.

I brought this phone to my provider 4 times this year, to have changed connector, but the phones is always sent back with the same connector to corrodant and they will not change unless I can't get a connection of any charger, if connection to the sector or from my laptop

I had updated the latest BlackBerry Desktop Manager to Version 7.1.0.37 which works fine until today.

Is there any direction I could get about this problem, please.

    Yours Sincerely

    JTV

    Hello

It looks like a hardware problem with a faulty connector. I don't know why your carrier didn't want to deal with it before, but contact them again. As long as your phone is still under warranty, they need perform the repair, as long as it is due to no fault of your choice. If your carrier refuses to deal with the problem and the unit is still under warranty, you can try to contact RIM directly using the information provided in the following link:

    http://UK.BlackBerry.com/support/programs/technical/incident.html

I hope this info helps and that your carrier finally solves the problem for you.

  • BlackBerry smartphone app error 603 and BBDS does not recognize my device

Here's the situation: the battery ran out on my unit earlier this week. When I started to charge, the unit will start automatically restart. Before restarting, the messages "error app 603' and 'reset' appeared. If I click "reset", the whole process starts again.

The previous messages in the forum I read about 'error app 603' suggested I should restore the device settings or reinstall the operating system. I tried to connect my device to my laptop via USB cable, however the computer will only recognize the connected device with a chime at the beginning of the discount to zero, followed quickly by a chime of disconnection being rebooted. The computer or software Deskstop BlackBerry recognizes the device while it is stuck on the '603 error message' app.

    What else can I try?

Hello and welcome to the community!

Here's a knockout who deals with this error:

For the charging of the OS, you can better use this method... on a PC (you can't do this on MAC):

    (1) make sure you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find complete instructions via the link in my sig auto below. Sorry, already a moot point counts with the error.

    2) uninstall all the BB OS packages from your PC,

    (3) make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed

    (4) download and install on your computer, the BB OS package you want:

    • If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

    5) remove all copies of the SELLER on your PC. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

    (6) work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of step 6, your BB presents "507" error, simply unplug the power cord of the BB USB and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • BlackBerry smartphones updated software now issues:(aider!!)

Hi guys. so I've updated my software on my bb curve 8520... Well the bb desktop software had asked me to do the experience works best with my phone. but it turns out to be the opposite. I can not call more I get this message when I try to call someone "can't call the current call" or if I managed to call I can't hang up unless the caller hangs up. my memory card is not working, or more, music and videos say 'impossible to read the content' but I can see all my photos. I can not view my airtime balance or update my bis. I tried to connect my memory card on my pc and it works fine when connected but as soon as I disconnect plays anything from my phone. I rebooted a million times. formatted the entire phone but nothing works! my alarm does not sound and sometimes when someone me the your text does not ring SMS. the update is performed from a 107... something to an update from 1788. I can do to fix all these technical stuff... im convinced this isn't the physical phone that is damaged. your help will be very appreciated. thanx

Hello and welcome to the community!

Given what you describe, I think that is better to a clean OS reload. The easiest way is, on a PC (you can not do on MAC):

    (1) make sure that you have a current backup and your BB complete... you can find the instructions at the link in my auto-sig below.

6 (a) to change your level of BB OS installed (at level or lower), you can run the Desktop software and connect your BB... the software should offer the operating system package you have installed on your PC.

6 (b) or, for recharging your BB OS level installed as well to change, work around the Desktop software and use the CHARGER. EXE directly, through step 2 in this process:

If, during the process of 6a or 6 b, your BB has an error '507', simply unplug the USB of the BB cord and reinsert it. do nothing else... This should allow the installation to continue.

You can also study the use of BBSAK (bbsak.org) to perform the wipe what he is capable.

You can also try the "skeleton OS Reload procedure" in an attempt to circumscribe the precise causal element:

    1. Load your OS "bare bones"... If everything is optional, do not install it.
    2. If the behavior is immediately, then try another OS with step 1
    3. If the behavior does not immediately, then run for as long as necessary to make you to be sure that the behavior will not occur.
    4. Add one more thing - no matter how tempting, one.
    5. If the behavior does not immediately present, and then runs for long enough to be sure he won't have the same problem
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all things are responsible or the behavior presents

When the behavior shows up, you know the culprit... the last thing you have loaded.

If the behavior doesn't re-present, then you know that step 1 or 2 cured it.

If the behavior has anything, then you have probably a problem of material level for which no amount of OS or software can heal.

You may also use these tips:

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • BlackBerry smartphones can not make a call, but can receive calls

Hello! I BBCurve9380 and somehow it just stopped making the calls, but I can still receive. I don't know if it's on the changed settings but on what I read in other forums, it's on the it policy. I checked mine and it says BBFS1 [GTALKAP1] and WLM 2.1 [WLMAP01]. I've updated all my apps and my computer can read my phone just fine. When I try to make a call, it automatically disconnects. Any help would be appreciated.

In fact, you have a lot more work to do, in light of your acquisition method. Reference:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

For step 3 stages of seller, you should replace it and it will remove unit COMPUTER policy:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

However, later, when you restore, DO NOT do a full restore. On the contrary, do only a selective restore of only those databases that you absolutely need (e.g., contacts, calendar, messages) and specifically avoid restore databases that have nothing to do with HIM, political, business or other similar things. If you restore those, you'll just be right back where you are now, as a full restore will conscientiously COMPUTER policy again on your device.

Note Please that I really have no idea if doing this will restore your ability to make calls... 100% of the information I have comes from what you have posted here. I'm guessing that the policy could be the cause of your problems, but I can't know that. No matter, since there is an IT strategy on board and you are not on BES, then you definitely want to get that deleted. But regarding if that will restore your ability to make calls, I have no way to predict the future... If something is the cause of this specific problem, then we'll have to deal with this - AFTER you remove the it policy so that we can be sure it does not hinder anything else.

    Good luck!

"Eception exception: java.long.array Indexoutofboundsexception' and an 'OK' button."

When I click this, (in the vain hope that everything will be OK from here in, it disconnects from the app and I'm at square one!)

That's why making the phone useless.

When I contacted Blackberry support, it says that he does not know of "Eception exception: java.long.array Indexoutofboundsexception'?"

Little help would be greatly appreciated: -.

Hello and welcome to the community!

There is virtually no diagnosis of those - they are the equivalent of random errors in Windows for which trace the root cause is futile. Basically, here's the last out in the programming code - some event occurred for which there is no event handler in the code. The patch is an update of the code that handles the event... but, again, what is the event is almost impossible. So, there are a few things to try:

Sometimes, the code simply is damaged and needs to be updated - just like a reboot:

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

There may be a code updated to the value of the carrier - check out them through this Portal:

The toughest possible causes are a bad application behave. To find it, there are two options. Is to see if you can read the log file:

Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type "lglg". (You won't see anything as you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably a lot of pages) until you see a line that says "eception execption. Click on this line. The application name will be in the info. Alternative methods to implement the newspapers are in this KB:

    • KB05349 How to activate, view, and extract the the event logs on a BlackBerry smartphone

The other method is to remove the apps one at a time, wait a while between the two (I usually recommend a week), until the problem stops... revealing the offending application. Yet another method is to recharge the BB OS itself, leaving little time between the addition of other applications on the BB in order to be able to determine exactly what is the cause.

    trevorburdett wrote:

That's an interesting statement... exactly how did you get that? As in, who did you call? RIM offers zero support to front line for BBs... only via the escalation of a carrier can you receive free support from RIM. You go through your carrier?

    Hello

In this case I recommend to use the application loader to reload the software on your BlackBerry smartphone. First make sure that you download and install the software on your site of carriers here: http://bbry.lv/cp57Eb.

Loader.exe is located in C:\Program Files Research In Motion\Apploader.

Make sure that the BlackBerry smartphone is connected directly to the computer, if a laptop computer and plugged in the back if a desktop computer.

Once you open then the click of application loader.exe. In this screen, you will see the login box. Connect your BlackBerry smartphone at the moment to see if it is recognized by the application. If it is not the battery and try to connect to the battery (it should display PIN USB: UNKNOWN) go ahead and click Next once the loading process starts, replace the battery in the BlackBerry smartphone.

    Thank you
