• iPod Touch questions since 9.3.2

  Since the last update, my iPod Touch, 5th generation, has not acted the way it probably should be.

  Although there is nothing really wrong with my iPod, the main problem I have experienced is when I try to put my music on shuffle, or play any album, artist or song in general... • Screen touch questions with speaker-repaired Defy

  After the issued speaker repaired by Motorola UK service last week, everything seemed fine for a few days until - seemingly out of the blue - touch screen seems to lose the ability to properly recognize a tap - and hold. A factory reset solved the problem, but it happened again a few days later.   I want to thank one person in particular in Motorola UK call centre - if you ever have reason to call them and talk to a Scottish guy called Shaun, you will be lucky. He was friendly and helpful throughout the entire process, including repeatedly remind me to liaise between me and the repair center, gneral updates, provide shipping references, etc.. I wasn't expecting this great help. So if you have to call them, please do not forget that most of the questions appears to be among the less-than-wonderful Ltd SBE, and people on the helpline do their job to the best of their abilities - especially Shaun. If you are being nice to them, you're going to get something done. Thanks Shaun. You the man.

• Want to 15 t Touch: question M.2 SSD for HP Envy 15 t Touch (model 15 t-ae100)

  I ordered the HP Envy 15 t Touch (model 15 t-ae100) with the i7 processors and 4 GB of memory graphic discreet. The Maintenance and Service Guide accurate that there is a slot available for one SSD m2.  From what I can tell, it's a SATA 3 (not mSATA or PCIe) slot that will be a 2280 SSD card.  Three questions:

  1. where did the m2 slot located on the motherboard?  Adjacent to the wireless network adapter?

  2. is there a screw included on the motherboard for the SSD m2 card?

  3. any compatibility likely questions if I get the EVO of 850 Samsung 500 GB m2 (MZ-N5E500BW)?

  I stumbled upon your post on the SSD question and wanted to help!

  The m2 slot seems to be located next to the memory Modules.  There is a Phillips PM2.0x3.50 screw that secures the SSD to the system board.  Your product supports the following SSD:

  SSD (m2) drive

  256 GB - 812708-001

  128 GB, 2280 M2 - 829985-001

  128 GB (Best Buy SKUs) - 820547-001

  Therefore the 500 GB m2 will be not compatible.  I hope this helps.

  I'm considering buying a 27 HD Touch of Wacom Cintiq monitor. I have a few questions about the two programs Adobe and their use of the 'touch' feature - Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 5.7 running on Windows 7.

  1 problems related to touch a feature in Lightroom and Photoshop CS6 and 5 resolved that you see on the forums of Wacom a year ago?

  2. If so, is there sufficient value gained through the tactile feature in Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 5 to justify the $500 price difference between the Cintiq 27 HD vs Touch HD? (I realize that this is a subjective question based on the abundance of its cash).

  3. I intend to stay with CS6 as long as possible to avoid a monthly subscription, BUT I wonder if buy the Touch HD can provide additional key features in future releases of these products that do not exist currently. (It is a pie in the kind of sky in question).

  Support for Photoshop Touch is added by CC 2014.2.2.  However as the Pro Intuos Wacom tablets with touch can be used with earlier versions of Photoshop and the Wacom Tablets Configurator can custom features can be used with Photoshop touch tablets.  I use LR but I don't know that the same thing would be true for her.   I have disable most of touch when using Photoshop.  The main reason why I have a Tablet is Photoshop Brush tools. Like Eraser, clone stamp, etc, nothing is better then a pen when it come to create the layer mask.  For most programs, I always use a mouse and I use the keyboard, the mouse and the pen with Photoshop...

  I never wanted a Cintig I do not have my hand between my eyes and the work. I'm not an artist.

  Hi, looking to get the iPod touch for my 11 year old, don't want him online without supervision.

  (1) can I block the internet connection >

  (2) you can't just overide the parental control with a hard reset?

  (3) if the hard reset is done is there a notification or a way to see this has been done?

  I have not tried to use them for good, but take a look at Use of Restrictions on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch - Apple Support. If you block Safari and control what applications are installed, then you have effectively blocked the access to the internet. If you enable the app FindMyiPhone phone cannot reset to factory settings unless you choose to unlock.

  Hello, ipod worked very well but all of sudden I'm having some trouble, the info is MD717LL/A, version 8.4.1 model [12H 321]. First question is when I plug in to charge I hear a repeated beep and I see the green bar in the the battery icon on top right flicker between black and green then it stops and show green. When the charger is not plugged into the bar shows black. How will I know when the battery if fully charged as when I go into settings-> use-> battery use, I don't see anything indicating a % battery?

  I got it for a while to charge and the battery led green color and now take off the ccharger the whole led bar is black. Basically what I need to know, what color of led battery must be fully charged please?

• iPhone 5 s - some display issues

  There is no if long I bought a used iPhone 5s because I was tired of my 4S. Everything was fine and I for about 2 months now.
  Now I experience a lot of retention of image/burn in / persistence (all that is good..). Often when I use the Facebook app. Because the bar top and bottom are static and what I've noticed: white. Only white/bright things burn in. The 'burned' area is around the edges, corners, and not really in the middle. It lasts up to 30 minutes and goes but happens very quickly (5 minutes of use of facebook/whatsapp = burn in).
  For two weeks, I also kinda touch question: when, for example, I type screen goes numb for less then 2 seconds but I can see it.
  Also sometimes the screen "run" a little but turns upward again after a few seconds or minutes, but unrelated to auto brightness.
  My screen has a crack at the speaker, he goes from one side to the other, but does not look seriously and I fixed it with duct tape until I get a new screen.
  Now I'm wondering if this problem-IR is based on the crack, failure of hardware, software, or maybe something else.
  I tried many things on the internet (including all the wiping data) but nothing has worked...
  I hope you can give me some advice!

  Because we cannot review your phone, we cannot give you a definitive answer.  However, what you describe sure sounds like a problem of material, probably linked to damage to the screen.

  Bring the phone to Apple for the assessment and to discuss your options.

• BlackBerry Smartphones quite confused newbie with (iMac) & Blackberry Curve 8530 ordered

  I thought I posted this before but can't ind station. Maybe I'm in the wrong bench?

  Need to synchronize information on BB Curve 8530 with my iMac, Mobile me up and use to sync iPod Touch - questions are:

  1 can I disable MM before you install Blackberry software for Mac (Snow Leopard)?  I need to be able to sync contacts/address book, iCal with the new phone and am afraid of conflicts so I don't "disable Mobile Me.

  2 have you also looked at Mark/Space software to sync Curve 8530 - it might be a better program to sync with iMac - someone uses this or do you use the Balckberry software?

  3. do I have on the right forum for these questions I changed my subscription and I am in the right but not sure, so pls be kind enough to redirect me...

  Before you install the BlackBerry Desktop Software I would recommend support to the top of your address book and iCal on your Mac. Do this please open your address book, and then select the file (in the top menu) > export > Address Book Archive, and then click Save and placed on the desktop. Let then open iCal and select file > export > iCal Archive and click Save to place them on the desktop as well.

  You are now ready to install the BlackBerry Desktop Manager on your Mac. You don't need to disable mobile me to do this. After installation, restart your Mac and open the app to BlackBerry Desktop manager (it will be located in your main applications on the Mac folder). Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your smart phone BlackBerry for Mac.

  After the device is recognized and connected, you will have to configure synchronization settings. To do it please click on the items you want to synchronize under information and then select two way to sync with the calendar to sync or Sync Contacts(In the middle of the page). Once this operation is complete, you can go ahead and click the sync button located on the top right to start the synchronization process. During synchronization it will alert you that it's your first synchronization and it is recommended to replace the data on the BlackBerry smartphone. Please select this option to overwrite the data so that all the information of iMac you will be synchronized on your BlackBerry Smartphone.

  Once it is complete, you can eject your BlackBerry Smartphone by pressing the key of eject located in the lower right of the program.

  1.) of course the 3rd party mouse driver could be a reason for a loss of Touch and Go system tray icon. If you wish, you can use the system restore which is part of the Win Xp operating system. This procedure should push you old driver and utility.

  (2.) trying to update the TV tuner driver. The latest version is 1.0.32.50526
