Disk [suddenly unable to save anything in Photoshop]

Suddenly I can't save anything in Photoshop.  He tells me that the disk is not available and no idea why this would be.

My current 'fix' is to export the files one by one, but I'd really like this to make my work much faster in the batch.Screen Shot 2016-07-25 at 5.19.13 PM.png

Hi Stacyg,

Try to reset Photoshop, close Photoshop preferences.

Go to the folder ~ / library, preferences, then replace "Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 '' Adobe Photoshop CC 2015 old parameters' settings '.

Let me know if it helps.

  • Unable to save anything in Photoshop?

I have this message is displayed EVERY time that I try to record something in my newly installed Photoshop (cs5) "cannot save"filename.jpg"because the file is locked or you don't have the necessary access privileges." Use the "Get Info" command in the Finder to unlock the file or change the permissions on the files or folders inclusive. I tried to uninstall and reinstall after resetting permissions, I tried saving the file under a new name, I tried to add a new admin... nothing seems to work and my Illustrator works seamlessly!

I'm surprised that no one has suggested compensation far Photoshop preferences.

Quit Photoshop, and then press Command + Option + shift on cold start Photoshop.  Quickly down the keys and you will be asked to confirm the deletion of your current preferences.

In addition, if you encounter file format problems, ensure that you do not have somehow connected in plug-ins provided by Adobe for another (e.g., older) version of Photoshop.

  • Unable to save anything with Audition 3.0

    Hey everybody,

I have a huge problem with Audition 3.0: I can't record anything. In the multitrack Session, the 'R' - button is still gray, I can't prepare the folder (or whatever it is called in English). Also, when I check the Audio Hardware settings (hope you know what I mean), there is no available entry.

The problem must be the program because I can record with Audacity.

I use my integrated sound card and a Shure livemic, so nothing special. VBI Win7.

Thanks, hope someone can help me!

P.S.: Google gives me many discussions where people have the same problem, but no solutions.

There is no available entry because it is not a suitable driver to select. The problem is not the program, it is the internal audio device. Hearing is ASIO software, so you must provide an interface of the ASIO or the driver for your audio device, or it does not. Overall, any peripheral internal with ASIO drivers or even have them available, so it's worth still looking for one.

But, you have two possible solutions for this. The first is to select the driver of Windows of hearing in the hardware parameters, and the other is to download ASIO4ALL, which is a free driver, which is essentially the same as the Windows of the hearing, but with the best diagnosis. If you use ASIO4ALL it will tell you exactly what you can expect from your internal audio device, and most can be made to work in this way.

  • Why Photoshop won't save anything?

For some reason any Photoshop can't save anything. I use the old version of CS6. He worked previously, but one day when he went kaput. When I go to save something, no dialog box appears, and Photoshop is a little frozen. I can click to put the Photoshop program in the foreground, but I get this error sound. I have to kill it and restart, but it gives me the same problem. I reinstalled from my DVD CS6, but which will not help either.

Since you mention all of a sudden, it stopped working, I suggest to reset the Photoshop preferences file: Hold Ctrl + Alt + Shift / Cmd + Opt + shift as you start Photoshop start. Select 'Yes' when asked if you want to continue with reset.

  • Unable to save (disk quota exceeded) livestream

I use the edition of FMS 4.5 development and trying to get the work of HLS. Everytime I try to publish a stream of OUT, I get the message:

    F4F:Livestream - NetStream.Record.DiskQuotaExceeded

in the instance of the application livepkgr and

Unable to save (disk quota exceeded) livestream.

    in the server log.

I realize there are limits on the development edition (10 minutes of iOS streaming), however usually these limitations restart when the server is reset.  I restarted the instance of the application and the server itself, manually start and stop the service, and I always get this error when I have everything first connect and try to publish the stream right after rebooting a server. I reset the server several times without success.

The recording in the application.xml settings are all defined on the default values (-1 by no maximum rate).

Unfortunately I was never able to get it still works so I am not ambitious enough to start testing on production servers.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you!

The error you are getting is because your previous f4f recording still exists. If you delete record (livepkgr/streams/_definst_/livestream) f4f, restart the instance as you do and you should be fine. Restart from the custom of the FMS has no effect because it does not automatically delete your existing record. So before starting to publish, clean your previous record.

Also, the limit must be 30 minutes for the development server - I don't know why you're wrong it is because the link:http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/helpmechoose.html it shows only 10 minutes (I'll check with the Manager of the right person for this page get this corrected)

Let me know if you still face problems.

  • Unable to save the file in PSD - PS says that the file is over 2 GB when it's not

I have a PSD that I worked on for many months. This week I got a new computer. When I open this file on my new computer, I'm unable to save as a PSD. The size of the file, in Windows Explorer, is 600 MB. Depending on the size of the PS CC Document displayed at the bottom of the Document window, the size of the document is 288.4 M / 1.77 G. Yet, when I try to save this file on my new computer, I get this error:

Could not save it as "filename.psd" because the document is larger than 2 gigabytes.
See Help topic "backup files" for more information.

I do not understand how I worked on this document for several months and never had a problem with recording it, even now, on my new computer, it is impossible to save. My new computer has a secondary SSD hard drive that I use as the primary scratch disk. The new computer also has more RAM and a processor more. I had copied all my files from the old computer to the new preferences, and I do not see all of the settings are different between the two computers. Can someone please provide some guidance?

    Hello

To ensure the follow-up to future readers who find this post, indeed it was a 14.2 bug fix which fell from Mindy file.

14.1.2 and older versions of Photoshop, it was possible to save a document in PSD format which would not properly push the limit of 2 GB of formats (vector data stuck with the Max compatibility). We had a report of someone who inadvertently produced 300 + GB of files (http://forums.adobe.com/message/5666971#5666971). With 14.2, now make us some additional controls while recording and to issue warning limit file size. One of these controls is to the pixel dimensions of the data (the data of superior image then 30K pixels).

Although MIndy file na not to exceed the 2 GB limit, it triggers the check of size of pixel data. There is a smart object layer that put across 6000%.

So if you are getting 2 GB limit warning and didn't in previous versions, take a look at the scale of values on smart object layers and note the layers covering the area pixel values in the Info Panel and checking vector data (pasted from Illustrator guides).

    Kind regards

I use windows xp as the operating system. I bought the new 3G huawei data card. While surfing internet, between a pop-up is displayed

«Windows-delayed write failed, windows was unable to save all data in the file C:\Documents and settings\new\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Session Storage\004285.log.» The data has been lost. This error can be caused by a failure of your computer hardware.

After this computer freezes and I have to restart my computer. Please help me how to fix this problem.

The error basically says that he tried to write something on your hard drive and for some reason that unfinished write operation.  This could indicate a bad sector on your hard disk, damaged disk or a problem with your hardware.

Whenever a problem involving a disk read or write appears, my first approach is to perform a verify operation of the disc to the hard drive.  Even if this is not your problem, it is a step of good routine maintenance. Run the disk check with the "/ R" or "Repair" option.  Note that the real disk check will be presented at the next reboot, will run until Windows loads completely, cannot be interrupted and can take more than a few hours to run depending on the size of your hard drive, the quantity and type found corruption and other factors.   It is better to perform during the night or when you won't need your computer for several hours.

I don't know where Microsoft 'Technical support engineers' get their information.

Write caching without a doubt "does apply to external hard drives", but it is usually disabled to prevent to sort the problem you are experiencing.

I've seen several positions reporting to the same question that you do.  All of these positions were with SATA drives.  Is your Seagate eSATA drive?

The disc is recognized as an external drive in Device Manager?  In Device Manager, go to the drive properties dialog box and click the policies tab.  An external drive should have two options: "Optimize for quick removal" and "Optimize for performance".  An internal hard drive shows the options as gray (with 'performance' selected), but there should also be a checkbox "Enable disk write cache" under the second option.

What shows in your policies tab?

If I understand correctly, "writeback" or "write behind" is implemented by disc material or its pilot.  If the option is not available on the drive properties > policies tab, I would suggest to contact Seagate support.
