• Disorders of the IdeaPad Y570 sleep/hibernation

  Hello everyone: Lenovo customers and the team.

  About a month ago, I've got Lenovo Y570 (i7 of second generation, 8 GB RAM, 750 GB HARD disk and so on).

  In fact, I am satisfied of this laptop, but here's a very boring question - disorders of the sleep/hibernate.

  I installed Windows 7 x 64 Ultimate instead of original Windows 7 Home.

  Then I installed all cooler Windows updates (SP1 and all others until today) and all updates for everything (drivers) from lenovo.com

  The problem is:

  (1) sleep mode - when it happens, if I interrupt bit - 5-10 minutes, everything is OK, awake computer. BUT if it stay for long - about 20-30 minutes, when I come back I have meet BSOD with message 'something about power. " I have dumps, if it is necessary.

  (2) hibernation. Each second hibernate leads to-screen sets out of State, formerly the powerfully flashing and then just nothing, computer HARD drive-based stay with black screen, all of the lights on the Panel WE still, power is always on and I can't do it-just to turn OFF with the round power button press.

  I tried all the possible solutions - to use power settings, hybrid sleep and hybrids, all modes, all solutions of the internet and my own mind - without success.

  Prior to Y570, I've owned Y530 and same configuration of Windows 7, etc - it has no problems with sleep/hibernate implementation.

  Please help me with this?

  PS You forgot to say! Sometimes, when I use hibernate - laptop is in hibernation, but shortly after turning off the power - it's on (after 1-2 seconds of the OFF state). Yes, I've checked everything - off set "Wake up" function of each device excluded just keyboard, leave all possible wake timers and so on.

  
  

• Quick question - the highway-C/E support H.323?

  Hi all

  Just a quickie. As we deploy licenses Highway-C/E on the VCS for CUCM, I don't have a great understanding of what license Highway adding only the fundamental operation of the VCS. Someone has posted elsewhere that the highway no longer manages the H.323, but I hesitate to believe. I can understand that the crossing tunnel supported by the highway to CUCM would only be SIP, is t - H.323 registrations and/or H.323 tunnels courses and he so opposed?

  Hi Chris,

  MRA (collab-edge) does not require the Expressway-C/E option buttons to apply, you can enable this in a standard VCS - C / E deployment.   You must make an adjustment of the SIP connection to a CUCM trunk which is included in the deployment of MRA (specifically, change the port to listen on the side of CUCM to something other than 5060 or 5061 depending on how you deploy ARM) and point to your regular neighbor area on this new port on the CUCM.

  The keys E Expressway and highway-C are essentially a version of VCS who removes the subareas for recording of endpoints and moves the focus to just a deployment of the ARM.  They exist as part of the packages associated with new deployments of CUCM - BE6K etc. I would advise to join your team account for more information on what this means however.

  The crossing of the area in Expressway - C / E deployments created for B2B (in addition to the crossing Zone of MRA) calls can be activated for H.323 as well.  Usage will be a little different with Expressway-E/C for H.323, you can create areas of neighbor to say routers gateway voice or other devices, but the record would go elsewhere for devices.

  You have divided the licenses between the two servers Expressway, so 16 for each.  If you apply them all to one of the servers Expressway, then you can not do B2B, client Jabber, or h.323/SIP Interworking outside your network, calls to/from CUCM because periphery and Expressway-Core servers work together, so they both will require license RMS.

• Can we use licenses of the highway on the highway VCS?

  We have 10.5 CUCM, control VCS, MCU, ISDN GW TMS Infrastructure deployed in one of our customer place. Now the client asking the Internet settings to be able to join CUCM registered endpoints. But we got the highway licenses and so we installed aboard the VMinstance Highway and installed licenses, now my query is this set works? Otherwise, we can transfer those licenses to expressway VCS?

  In brief - customer is working to achieve both Business - to - Business (B2B). Yes, that can be reached. Note: You will need to have the right set of licenses.

  Note: you mentioned VCS control and the edge of the highway. So, what are the components you have in the network? Control of VCS and VCS Expressway or VCS Expressway-Core and VCS Expressway-edge?

  MediaSense - 11.0.1

  Highway - 8.5.1

  So based on the documentation below if I go to CUCM 11.5 UCCX must be upgraded to version 11 and highway be upgraded to 8.8? MediaSense is ok here its version 11?

  ORC evolving documents now States that UCCX 10.6 (1) can be compatible with 11.5 (1) CUCM (plus all patches) after you install the ciscouccx.106x.cucm11xcompatible.14.cop.sgn hotfix.

  I have a question for encrypted internal/external calls.

  I have some problems with the configuration for the Protocol TLS encrypted calling between 11.5 CUCM and highway-C
  Especially in the case of certificate:-Iam using the xCA Oppensource tool.

  -> using a generate CA tool to do this & then download the PEM CUCM & highways C also good E and the identification is carried out from CA (Xca tool).

  as a result, I have this error "the supplied file is not use server attribute". on Highway-C

  Your certificate does not have the improved use of the key right, are you aware of the document creating a certificate for VCS/EXP? It covers all requirements.

• Keep the highway-VCS-control or switch to Expressway-C/E?

  We currently have CUCM 9.1 2, VCS-control (virtual) 8.6 and 8.6 VCS-Expressway (Physics) in our environment. Endpoints are a mixup of SIP and SCCP, Jabber customers phones and EX90 4. Everything had been originally been setup with our EX90 to register for VCS and the pair of VCS to just be there for the EX90 to use (they were quite nice sitting here doing nothing with the little utility that we see in our EX90s).

  A few weeks ago, I dug in our configuration to better use our infrastructure and do some things that were never done during the initial implementation of our system of phone two years ago. I have installation MRA on the pair of VCS to allow to our Jabber endpoints to record without VPN, update the EX90 with keys now free option for PR, DD, etc., saved the EX90s to CUCM instead of VCS and update the firmware on the pair of VCS and EX90.

  Final update nagging I confusion keep me on is that I should get licenses to convert our VCS-control and highway Highway-C and E or keep as-is. It seems that C/E are the wave of the future with Cisco wanting to check directly to CUCM, so I feel like it's the 'right' thing to do here...

  -Without registering on VCS more, I'm better convert Expressway-C/E?

  -Did I miss all the features/functionality leaving them alone?

  -My 5 traversal licenses will become licenses RMS once converted? (I saw mixed reviews on this and prefer not to spend the extra $750 / piece on them if I can convert my existing licenses).

  Not really sure on the migration options to license, but right now that VCS can do everything that expressway can do, and more.  RMS licenses are less expensive than the traversal licenses, so if you plan to expand, it might be cheaper in the future.  Other than that, I don't see no reason to abandon the feature.

  So I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite P855-S5200 and all works well, including most of the Internet features.

  The problem I have is that no matter what internet service provider, I use some things won t work. For example, you place your order online from Amazon it allows me to get at the cash register, but then gets stuck on the loading screen when it hits the payment.

  On sites like the Disney Store he won t even let put me things in the bag. I've never had this problem with any other computer and other computers in my House seem to work well. It s really starting to irritate me so if anyone has a solution please help!

  I have a HP Officejet J6480 all-in-one printer.  It is no longer offers me the possibility to print in draft mode on anything except documents created with Microsoft Office.  So, everything I print directly from now Internet printing (emails, Google docs, etc.) in 'normal' mode and repeatedly are color even if I chose black and white as my preference.  I installed the latest drivers from HP.

  Can someone help me solve this problem?  I need my project mode option once again for all that I feel.

  I am the owner of a Toshiba Satellite A110-273 I've had for three years.
  During this period I have updated to 3 GB of RAM, 250 GB HD, Bios ver 2 and Win 7.
  The system worked properly, but now the HD is broken.

  Now, I tried to install a hard drive of 320, but while the bios recognizes it, the system does not work. It cannot start.

  Is it possible that the BIOS does not support a 320 HD?

  I'm not shure if there is a limitation for the size of hard drive...
  SATA should not have these problems as pata (ide)

  but I don't have any information that verifies any limitation
  as far as I know the biggest hard drive because this machine was a 100 GB drive...
  It is possible that there is a limit of 250 GB...

  I can't have the option of FM radio to work on my 4 GB Clip.  I have plugged headphones.  I bought the Clip to the United States.  I've updated the software today (10 December 2008).

  When I hit the Select button, the following options appear:

  Albums

  Songs

  Genres

  My best rated

  Audio books

  Records

  Music options

  If I select "Recordings", I get the following choices:

  Voice

  FM radio

  It is the only place where ever I can find FM Radio at all.  If I select FM Radio, so says '[Empty]' and there is nothing I can do, except back to the menu list.

  Am I missing something to make the radio work?

  UM.  Yes I was missing something.  When I see the helmet and "music >", it never occurred to me to go up or down, who found me my radio.
